House Show 003 - Charlottetown PEI (04112025)

NPCW House Show - Charlottetown, PEI

Match #1: Flying Monkeys vs. Jolly Elves

 Referee: 'Honest' Abe (+0)

The opening match at Charlottetown’s NPCW House Show saw the quirky, chaos-driven Flying Monkeys (led by the ever-eccentric Mad Hatter) take on the festive Jolly Elves, Jingle and Merry, in a tag team contest that had the crowd buzzing from the start. With 'Honest' Abe overseeing the action, this match was brimming with double teams, near-pins, and questionable antics.

From the get-go, Mad Hatter wasted no time getting involved—"talking crazily and pushing the referee" to stir things up—but as is typical with the Hatter’s antics, it somehow managed to fly under Abe’s radar. Flying Monkey #3 shined early with moves like a Stalling Vertical Suplex that kept Merry on defense, while Jingle brought the team back into the fight with his signature Elfin Fury. Throughout the match, each team utilized their partner’s strengths in a flurry of double-team maneuvers. The Monkeys relied heavily on their unorthodox offense with moves like the Boot to Ribcage and Moonsault Bodyblock, while the Elves fired back with Merry’s Elfin Dazzle and Jingle’s impactful Ring the Bell.

The bout escalated into a frenzy in the closing moments. Flying Monkey #1 and Jingle traded crowd-popping exchanges, but despite each team’s best efforts to secure the win, neither could capitalize for a definitive pinfall. The bell rang at the 20-minute mark, declaring the match a time-limit draw.

Kent’s Take: The Flying Monkeys and Jolly Elves set the tone for the evening with a lighthearted yet engaging opener. Both teams displayed excellent chemistry and a knack for engaging the crowd, but the match was hampered by a lack of a decisive finish. The Monkeys’ reliance on Mad Hatter’s antics felt predictable, and while the Elves’ double-team offense was polished, they didn’t seem capable of pushing past the Monkeys’ relentless unorthodox style.

Standout moment? Merry’s Elfin Driver got the loudest reaction of the night, and rightly so—it’s a move that continues to impress. Overall, a fun start to the show, but this rivalry needs a definitive conclusion to truly cement itself in NPCW’s tag team hierarchy. Fans love these teams, but it’s time to deliver that clear winner.

Match #2: Furiosa Ardilla vs. Regina (Queens of Punishment)

Referee: 'Honest' Abe (+0)

The second match of the evening saw Furiosa Ardilla take on Regina, representing the Queens of Punishment, in a fast-paced, hard-hitting bout that kept the Charlottetown crowd on the edge of their seats. Both competitors brought their A-game, blending high-flying maneuvers with a strong dose of ground-and-pound offense.

The match opened explosively, with Furiosa Ardilla landing an Axe Kick only for Regina to counter with a well-placed Diving Splash. The tone was set early—this was going to be a battle of one-upmanship. Furiosa’s agility was on full display throughout the contest, with her signature Hurricanrana Driver making multiple appearances and drawing pops from the crowd every time it connected.

Regina, not to be outdone, showcased her own resilience and cunning. A highlight moment came when she launched Furiosa to the outside with a Throw Out of Ring and nearly secured the upper hand as Furiosa narrowly beat the count back into the ring. The match also saw Mad Hatter briefly insert himself into the action, distracting Furiosa by luring her into a chase around the ring—a move that worked in Regina’s favor but couldn’t seal the deal.

The turning point came late in the match, as Furiosa fired back with unrelenting energy, landing a Senton and another devastating Hurricanrana Driver. The finish was emphatic: a perfectly executed Step Pump Kick grounded Regina long enough for the 1-2-3, giving Furiosa a hard-fought and well-deserved victory.

Kent’s Take: Furiosa Ardilla continues to impress with her blend of speed, aerial expertise, and tenacity, making her a standout performer in the women’s division. Regina held her own, leaning into her bruising offense, but struggled to capitalize on momentum despite Hatter’s interference.

While the match featured plenty of action and back-and-forth exchanges, it felt like Furiosa was always a step ahead. The repeated use of the Hurricanrana Driver worked well, but over-reliance on one move could become predictable in future matches. A strong showing for both wrestlers, but Furiosa’s star continues to rise—and this win further cements her status as a fan favorite.

Match #3: Reindeer Coalition (Donner & Blitzen) vs. Gods of War (Ares & Mars)

Referee: 'Honest' Abe (+0)

This tag team clash was an intense, hard-hitting battle of brute strength and unrelenting endurance, pitting the resilient Reindeer Coalition against the towering Gods of War. Both teams brought their signature styles to the table, with Donner and Blitzen focusing on impactful double-team maneuvers and the Gods of War relying on sheer power and precision.

From the opening bell, Donner and Blitzen took control with a series of coordinated attacks, including the crowd-pleasing Reindeer Kick and Thunderstrike. They effectively utilized quick tags and teamwork to keep Ares on the defensive, even forcing him to narrowly beat a countout in the early minutes. However, the Gods of War showcased their ability to absorb punishment, with Mars entering the fray and making his presence known through punishing moves like the Bearhug and Samoan Drop.

The match featured several thrilling double-team exchanges, with Donner and Blitzen stringing together combos like the Running Shoulder Tackle and Abdominal Stretch, while Ares and Mars countered with a devastating Overhead Slam and Short Arm Clothesline. The Reindeer Coalition’s quickness kept them competitive throughout, with Donner nearly securing a pinfall after a beautiful Shooting Star Press. However, the Gods of War proved they were not easily subdued, battling back with relentless ferocity.

The final moments of the match saw both teams push themselves to the limit, with Ares and Mars delivering a barrage of double-team moves and Donner valiantly holding his own against the odds. Despite their best efforts, neither team could achieve the decisive victory within the 20-minute time limit, resulting in a hard-fought draw.

Kent’s Take: This match was a fantastic display of tag team wrestling, showcasing two teams with starkly contrasting styles. Donner and Blitzen’s ability to work in tandem gave them an early edge, but the sheer power of the Gods of War evened the playing field. Mars and Ares continue to cement themselves as an imposing force in NPCW’s tag division, while the Reindeer Coalition’s resilience and chemistry cannot be overlooked.

The draw, while somewhat unsatisfying, underscores the parity between these two teams and leaves the door wide open for a rematch. A decisive finish in a future bout could elevate either team to title contention. As for now, this match delivered all the drama, grit, and impact that fans could have asked for.

Match #4: Rapido Rojo vs. Goliath

Referee: 'Honest' Abe (+0)

The fourth match of the evening featured the ultimate clash of contrasts: the high-flying Rapido Rojo against the massive powerhouse Goliath. It was a quintessential David-versus-Goliath encounter, with Rojo relying on his agility and speed to counter Goliath's sheer strength and intimidation tactics.

Goliath wasted no time setting the tone, using his size to dominate with moves like the Intimidating Staredown and Choke with Foot. Despite the overwhelming power advantage, Rapido Rojo displayed resilience and a determination to keep the big man at bay. Highlights of Rojo’s offense included a beautiful Standing Shiranui and multiple well-timed strikes, keeping the match competitive.

However, Goliath’s unrelenting power became the defining factor. Each of Rapido Rojo's comebacks was met with punishing responses such as a Ram into Ring Post and an earth-shaking Powerslam. The turning point came in the 12th minute when Goliath delivered one final Powerslam, securing the pinfall victory and cementing his dominance.

Kent’s Take: This was a classic tale of speed versus strength, but Goliath’s brute force proved too much for the lightning-quick Rapido Rojo. While Rojo’s attempts to outmaneuver the giant were commendable, his offense lacked the sustained momentum needed to capitalize.

Goliath, on the other hand, showed why he’s one of NPCW’s most imposing figures. His ability to dictate the pace with sheer presence made it clear he’ll be a force to watch in the coming weeks. While Rojo’s efforts were valiant, this match firmly belonged to Goliath—a showcase of raw power triumphing over finesse.

Main Event: Mother Earth vs. Wicked Witch (with the Coven)

Referee: 'Honest' Abe (+0)

The main event of the evening brought a highly anticipated clash as the ever-powerful Mother Earth squared off against the nefarious Wicked Witch, who was accompanied by her sinister Coven. With the crowd firmly behind Mother Earth, the match promised an epic showdown between resilience and cunning.

The match began with explosive energy as Mother Earth charged in with a Spear, earning an early advantage. However, the ever-crafty Wicked Witch countered with a Swinging Neckbreaker, showcasing her technical prowess and refusal to back down. The crowd was electric, firmly rallying behind Mother Earth as she fought valiantly against the Coven’s dark magic.

Despite Mother Earth's fiery start, the Wicked Witch turned the tide almost immediately in the second minute, locking in her signature Witch's Wrath Dragon Sleeper. Try as she might, Mother Earth was unable to break free from the devastating hold. Within moments, she was forced to submit, granting the Wicked Witch a decisive victory.

Kent’s Take: While the match was brief, it delivered high impact and set the tone for the Wicked Witch’s dominance. Mother Earth’s initial Spear gave the audience hope, but the Wicked Witch's precision and calculated offense ensured a quick end to the contest. The Coven's looming presence at ringside may not have played a direct role, but their aura no doubt contributed to Mother Earth’s inability to find her rhythm.

Though the length of the match left some wanting more, it further established the Wicked Witch as one of the most dangerous competitors in NPCW. With her streak of dominance continuing, the rest of the women’s division should tread carefully—the Wicked Witch is proving she doesn’t need tricks to assert her power.

Kent’s Overall Take: The April 11 House Show delivered a solid blend of action, storytelling, and character development, leaving fans entertained while advancing key rivalries and narratives. Matches like Reindeer Coalition vs. Gods of War stood out for their balance of technical precision and physicality, while Furiosa Ardilla’s victory cemented her growing reputation as a fan favorite.

The standout moments of the night were Goliath’s overpowering win, underscoring his potential as an unstoppable force, and Wicked Witch’s statement victory, solidifying her role as the Coven's ruthless leader. However, with two time-limit draws on the card, the evening missed the opportunity for clearer resolutions, leaving some rivalries simmering rather than boiling over.

That said, the show succeeded in its goal—to excite and engage NPCW fans while building momentum for future events. As the road continues to heat up, NPCW's roster is proving that the competition has never been fiercer.
