June 12, 2025 - Greenland
By Dave "The Brute" Kent, Ace Wrestling Reporter
NPCW ventured into the icy terrain of Greenland, where warriors clashed, alliances were tested, and finishes were more controversial than conclusive.
From interference-fueled chaos to power-packed slugfests, this event had its highs and lows, proving that NPCW still struggles with decisive endings—but when the action hit, it hit hard.
Leading the night was Krampus vs. Hansel, a main event that was brutal but predictable, showcasing Krampus as an unstoppable force with nothing truly challenging him.
Elsewhere, Sugar Plum Fairy got robbed by an early count-out, the Reindeer Coalition pulled off a questionable win, and Grizelda vs. Gretel delivered intense exchanges but suffered from far too much outside interference.
Did NPCW leave an impact in Greenland? Absolutely.
Was every match booked to perfection? Not even close.
Now, let’s break down the results—and get into the real talk about what worked and what fell apart.
Match 1: Grizelda Vs Gretel
Leading the charge in Match 1, we saw Grizelda (of the Witch’s Coven) take on Gretel (of the Hunter’s Enclave) in a battle between mysticism and relentless athleticism. This was a match filled with mind games, physical punishment, and near falls, but ultimately, Gretel overcame the Coven’s interference to secure the win.
Match Recap: Grizelda vs. Gretel
Referee: Honest Abe (+0)
Grizelda wasted no time showcasing her deceptive tactics, opening the match with multiple Blatant Chokeholds, bending the rules without hesitation.
Gretel, meanwhile, countered with sheer speed, landing a 450 Splash and later connecting with The K-360 Belly to Back Flipping GTS, proving why she’s one of NPCW’s rising stars.
However, in the later rounds, Grizelda’s Coven allies got involved, darkening the arena, hypnotizing her opponent, and creating distractions to slow Gretel down.
For a moment, it looked like Grizelda had full control, locking Gretel in a Boston Crab, but Gretel refused to submit, showcasing her unyielding resilience.
The final minutes saw Gretel explode with Pump Kicks, Superkicks, and Rolling Fireman's Carries, wearing down Grizelda until she secured the pinfall victory after 29 minutes.
Match Result:
Gretel defeats Grizelda (Pinfall via Rolling Fireman’s Carry)
Kent’s Take:
This match had strong storytelling, but suffered from excessive interference.
While Grizelda played her role perfectly as the cunning witch, the constant Coven distractions made the match feel overcrowded—instead of enhancing the drama, it dragged down the pacing.
Still, Gretel proved her toughness, enduring both physical punishment and mind games, showing that she’s ready for bigger fights in NPCW.
But if NPCW wants magic vs. muscle rivalries to be legendary, they need to balance in-ring storytelling with outside influences—because too much interference damages the impact of the match itself.
Rating: 3.5/5 (Strong performance, interference overload)
NPCW’s Greenland event is off to an intriguing start, but will they deliver clean finishes, or will outside forces keep deciding matches?
Match 2: Nutcrackers Legion Vs Jolly Elves
The Nutcracker Legion and the Jolly Elves collided in a chaotic tag match that was equal parts high-energy and hard-hitting. NPCW delivered a holiday-themed war, and while the pacing kept things moving fast, it still fell into some repetitive territory before Nutcracker #1 sealed the win.
Match Recap: Nutcracker Legion vs. Jolly Elves
Referee: Honest Abe (+0)
Things kicked off explosively, with Nutcracker #1 immediately unloading a Nutcracker Cannon Spear, flooring Jingle and forcing an early tag to Merry.
Merry and Jingle fought back hard, implementing Jingle All the Way Double Dropkicks and Stuffing Sleeper holds to try and neutralize the Nutcracker's power advantage.
However, the Nutcrackers kept returning fire, delivering 21 Gun Salute strikes, Running Powerslams, and Forearm Smashes to slow down the elves.
The match became a back-and-forth tag war, but some sequences felt recycled—with multiple rounds of similar dropkick-heavy offense from the Elves and repeated slams from the Nutcrackers.
Finally, Nutcracker #1 put the match to rest, executing March to Victory (Strut), which led to the pinfall victory over Merry.
Match Result:
Nutcracker Legion defeats Jolly Elves (Pinfall via March to Victory Strut)
Kent’s Take:
This match was fun, but it ran in circles for too long.
Both teams showed great chemistry, but instead of escalating toward a proper climax, the match cycled through the same sequences multiple times, making parts feel like filler rather than hard-fought combat.
The finish was fine, but NPCW should consider mixing up the pacing in future Nutcracker vs. Jolly Elf bouts—because unless these teams find ways to innovate, the matches will start blending together into one generic tag formula.
Rating: 3.5/5 (Solid action, but lacked variety)
NPCW's Greenland event continues, but the question remains—will the pacing keep delivering, or will the matches start feeling stale before the final bell?
Match 3: Blitzen, Donner and Prancer Vs Ares, Mars and Huntsman
NPCW brought a six-man showdown to Greenland, as Blitzen, Donner, and Prancer of the Reindeer Coalition took on Ares, Mars, and Huntsman in a contest filled with power moves, high-speed exchanges, and a frustrating count-out finish.
Match Recap: Blitzen, Donner & Prancer vs. Ares, Mars & Huntsman
Referee: Honest Abe (+0)
The opening minutes were chaotic, as Blitzen and Ares immediately engaged in a flurry of strikes, setting the tone for a wild multi-man affair.
Each wrestler got moments to shine, with Ares, Huntsman, and Mars displaying brute force through power slams and Neutralizers, while the Reindeer Coalition matched them with aerial offense, dropkicks, and fast-paced counters.
However, as the match progressed, things became slightly repetitive, with too many double-team sequences taking priority over real momentum shifts.
The finish? Disappointing.
Blitzen kicked Ares out of the ring, and instead of delivering a conclusive victory, NPCW opted for a count-out decision, leaving the match feeling incomplete rather than definitive.
Match Result:
Reindeer Coalition defeats Ares, Mars & Huntsman (Count-Out Victory via Kick Out of Ring)
Kent’s Take:
This match had excellent pacing, but the ending ruined its potential.
Ares, Mars, and Huntsman deserved better than a cheap count-out loss, and the Reindeer Coalition needed a stronger closing sequence to solidify their win.
NPCW should stop relying on count-outs—they take away from the impact of hard-fought matches and make victories feel hollow instead of earned.
Rating: 3/5 (Strong action, weak finish)
NPCW needs to stop undercutting its best matches with bad finishes—because these rivalries deserve real conclusions, not disappointing shortcuts.
Match 4: Sugar Plum Fairy Vs Mother Earth
NPCW’s fourth match of the night saw Sugar Plum Fairy take on the powerhouse Mother Earth, but what should have been an engaging bout was cut short by interference that ended things in just two minutes.
Match Recap: Sugar Plum Fairy vs. Mother Earth
Referee: Honest Abe (+0)
Sugar Plum Fairy started strong, landing a Standing Moonsault, but Mother Earth countered with a Concrete Spinebuster that put Fairy in a vulnerable position.
Just as Fairy looked to recover, Nutcracker General interfered, distracting her at ringside long enough for the ref to count her out, handing Mother Earth a cheap victory.
Match Result:
Mother Earth defeats Sugar Plum Fairy (Count-Out via Concrete Spinebuster & Interference)
Kent’s Take:
What a waste of a match.
Fairy and Mother Earth had the potential to deliver something competitive, but NPCW cut it short in just two minutes.
A count-out finish this early into a match is just bad booking—it robs the audience of an actual contest and leaves both competitors looking weaker than they should.
NPCW needs to stop sabotaging its own talent with rushed finishes, because moments like this don’t elevate anyone—they just disappoint the fans.
Rating: 1.5/5 (Too short, interference ruined it)
NPCW has to do better than this—count-out endings shouldn’t be a crutch for lazy storytelling.
Main Event: Krampus Vs Hansel
NPCW closed out its Greenland house show with a battle between two forces of destruction—Krampus of the Demonic Legion versus Hansel of the Hunter’s Enclave. While Hansel fought hard, Krampus overpowered him in an aggressive display of dominance, securing a decisive win via Tombstone Piledriver.
Main Event Recap: Krampus vs. Hansel
Referee: Honest Abe (+0)
From the opening bell, Krampus unleashed his brutality, landing Holiday Havoc strikes and Krampus Krush running powerslams, showcasing his relentless offense.
Hansel, however, didn’t back down, firing back with Belly-to-Belly Suplexes and Dropkicks, proving that he wouldn’t go down easily.
The middle stretch of the match saw a brutal exchange, with Krampus locking in his Evil Embrace Cross Arm Choke multiple times, but Hansel refusing to submit despite being visibly worn down.
By minute 12, Hansel seemed close to pulling off a comeback, reversing Krampus’s offense and landing Spine Crushers and Flying Forearm Smashes.
But Krampus had enough, shutting it all down with one final Demonic Driver (Tombstone Piledriver), sealing the pinfall victory.
Match Result:
Krampus defeats Hansel (Pinfall via Demonic Driver—Tombstone Piledriver)
Kent’s Take:
Krampus looked unstoppable, and Hansel played the perfect underdog, but the match itself felt slightly predictable.
NPCW gave both men great moments, but Krampus never truly seemed in danger, making the outcome feel inevitable rather than dramatic.
If NPCW wants big matches to hit harder, they need to create suspense beyond just a flurry of power moves—because this was solid, but not groundbreaking.
Rating: 4/5 (Hard-hitting, but lacked true unpredictability)
Krampus is looking like an unstoppable force, but NPCW needs to put him in a fight that feels like a real challenge—or risk making his matches too one-sided to be memorable.
Overall Take
Greenland’s NPCW event had moments of brilliance, but too many questionable finishes and excessive interference made it fall short of its full potential.
Let’s break it down.
Grizelda vs. Gretel had the makings of a great battle, but constant distractions from the Witch’s Coven prevented it from feeling like a true victory for Gretel.
The Nutcracker Legion vs. Jolly Elves was fun, but it leaned too much on formulaic offense, making the match blend into previous tag bouts rather than standing out.
Blitzen, Donner & Prancer vs. Ares, Mars & Huntsman delivered great action, but the count-out finish robbed the crowd of a legitimate conclusion.
Sugar Plum Fairy vs. Mother Earth was a total letdown, ending after two minutes because of interference and an undeserved count-out.
Krampus vs. Hansel was a hard-hitting main event, but it felt predictable, with Krampus never truly appearing to struggle, making the win feel like a foregone conclusion.
If NPCW wants its house shows to feel like must-watch events, it needs to stop sabotaging its strongest matches with lazy finishes—because count-outs and distractions shouldn’t be deciding half the fights.
Final Show Rating: 3/5 (Exciting at times, but held back by bad booking choices)
NPCW needs to clean up its storytelling, because the fans deserve fights that actually end in real victories—not interference-fueled chaos.
This has been No Words Barred—where wrestling gets the truth, not excuses.
