House Show Recaps — Week of May 4th to May 10th
By Oliver Grant
Opening
This week’s house shows carried a clear theme: repeat opportunities creating sharper definitions. The Mythic division spent two nights in Calais testing whether early outcomes could hold up under pressure, while the Polar division in Victoria produced several performances that looked less like isolated wins and more like momentum taking shape.
The Mythic shows leaned heavily on rematches. Some rivalries split across the two nights, keeping the field unsettled, but Takuma Ryujin’s back-to-back main event victories over Heracles gave that side of the week a firmer direction. Elsewhere, Sir Gawain’s consistency stood out, while Athena and Gretel, Hansel and Sir Agravaine, and the tag teams all traded results.
In Victoria, the Polar division offered a more pronounced separation. Mrs. Claus, Lyric Everfrost, and Peter Cottontail all won twice, each in different ways. The tag division was more complicated, with short finishes, long battles, and a draw all shaping the picture.
The results below are drawn from the raw house show data for House Shows 031.01, 031.02, 032.01, and 032.02.

Takuma Ryujin vs Heracles
Takuma Ryujin and Heracles gave Calais a main event built on momentum swings rather than simple control. Heracles had the power advantage, and when he landed offense, the match changed quickly. His powerbombs, throws, and heavy-impact sequences gave him stretches where Takuma was forced to survive rather than dictate.
What made Takuma’s performance stand out was how well he absorbed those moments without losing direction. He did not win by overpowering Heracles. He won by finding timing, using openings, and making his offense matter when it landed.
The involvement around both men added some instability, but it did not erase the structure of the match. Heracles had the louder bursts. Takuma had the steadier path late.
The Golden Star Powerbomb finish reflected that difference. It was not sudden as much as it was earned through persistence.
What it showed: Takuma Ryujin can withstand power-based pressure and still find a route to victory when the match stretches.

Scalekeepers vs Gods of War
The rematch between Scalekeepers and Gods of War had more room to develop than the first meeting, and that helped clarify the difference between the teams. The Scalekeepers brought speed, movement, and submission pressure. The Gods of War answered with heavier offense and stronger control during double-team stretches.
The match worked because neither side was able to hold the same advantage for too long. Hiro and Masa created openings through quick tags and technical pressure, but Ares and Mars repeatedly slowed the match down with power offense.
The closing stretch belonged to the Gods of War. Ares’ Knee Lift on Masa Tanenaga was not just a finish—it came after a gradual shift where the Mythic power team finally made their control count.
What it showed: The Scalekeepers can create problems through pace, but Gods of War are dangerous once they establish sustained pressure.

Comet and Prancer vs Nutcracker Legion
The 30-minute draw between Comet and Prancer and the Nutcracker Legion was the most complete tag match of the Victoria opening night. It had the shape of a long-form struggle, with both teams finding stretches of control but neither doing enough to finish.
Comet and Prancer showed strong recovery instincts. Even when the Nutcracker Legion used size, structure, and repeated double-team offense to slow the pace, the Reindeer pair kept finding counters and quick bursts of offense.
The Nutcracker Legion, meanwhile, looked increasingly comfortable in extended exchanges. Their offense was not always clean, but it was persistent. By the closing minutes, both sides had done enough to justify the draw.
The finish left the rivalry open, but not empty. This felt like a match where both teams learned what the other could survive.
What it showed: Comet and Prancer have endurance and chemistry, but the Nutcracker Legion can drag opponents into deep water.

Abaddon vs Peter Cottontail
Peter Cottontail’s second win over Abaddon gave the week its clearest Polar statement. The first victory could have been viewed as opportunistic. The second made it harder to dismiss.
This match had more time to breathe than the first meeting. Abaddon controlled portions through power and impact, especially when he landed the F-5, suplexes, and heavy strikes. He looked dangerous throughout, and there were points where the match appeared ready to turn fully in his direction.
Peter’s answer was persistence. He did not overpower Abaddon, and he did not dominate the match. Instead, he kept forcing Abaddon to reset. Dropkicks, quick counters, and rollup-style offense kept him within striking distance.
That mattered late. Abaddon had chances to close, including multiple pin attempts, but Peter stayed alive long enough to find the same kind of finish that worked the night before.
What it showed: Peter Cottontail’s momentum is no longer just about surprise. Two wins over Abaddon suggest he can survive pressure and still find the winning moment.
Closing
The defining story of the week was repeatability.
In Calais, Takuma Ryujin’s two victories over Heracles stood out as the strongest Mythic development. The first win came through a longer, more competitive main event. The second was shorter and more decisive, ending with Heracles submitting to the Ankle Lock. That combination matters. One win can be timing. Two wins, by different routes, becomes evidence.
Sir Gawain also had a quietly strong week, defeating Huntsman twice and showing consistency across both nights. Elsewhere, the Mythic division remained more balanced. Athena and Gretel split results. Hansel and Sir Agravaine split results. Scalekeepers and Gods of War split results. That left much of the field unsettled, but still active.
Victoria produced clearer momentum. Mrs. Claus defeated Sugar Plum Fairy twice, first by pinfall and then by submission. Lyric Everfrost made quick work of Marcus the Beastmaster on both nights, showing sharp finishing ability even if the short match lengths limit how much can be drawn from the wins.
The strongest Polar takeaway belongs to Peter Cottontail. Back-to-back victories over Abaddon changed the way his week has to be read. Both wins came through the Back Bodydrop into Rollup, but the second came after a longer match where Abaddon had more chances to impose himself. Peter survived those moments and still found the finish.
The tag division remains more complicated. Comet and Prancer went from a 30-minute draw to a decisive win over the Nutcracker Legion, while Blitzen and Donner split with the Snake brothers in two very different matches. There is no clean hierarchy yet, but there is movement.
Overall, this was a week where some rivalries stayed even, while others began to tilt. The difference is becoming easier to see.
House shows don’t crown champions—but they do reveal who’s ready.
