1. SHOW OPENING

(Black screen.)

(The sound of a heavy book opening.)

(Not cleanly. Not gently.)

(Old pages scrape against each other like bone over stone.)

(A candle ignites.)

(The flame burns blue for a moment… then deepens to red.)

(Ink crawls across parchment, but this time it does not form words.)

(It forms a crown.)

(Then an arrow.)

(Then a hand.)

(Then an oni mask.)

(A low choir begins. Beneath it, a war drum beats once.)

Voice-over:
“Once upon a time… they told you every kingdom needed a hero.”

(beat)

“They never told you heroes bleed.”

(The ink spreads faster now, swallowing the parchment edges.)

“They never told you crowns grow heavier.”

“They never told you stories change hands.”

(A bell tolls.)

(The screen flickers with torchlight.)

Voice-over:
“Here… legends do not rest.”

“They are tested.”

“They are broken.”

“They are remade.”

(The burning parchment folds inward, becoming a dark fairytale title card.)

NPCW: DARK FABLE

Voice-over:
“This is the MYTHIC Division.”

“Welcome… to DARK FABLE.”

SIGNATURE MONTAGE — QUARTER 3

1) King Arthur

(A sword is raised beneath a storm-black sky.)

Arthur stands alone in the ring, armor battered, breath steady, eyes forward.

The crowd roars around him, but he does not answer them.

An opponent charges.

Arthur turns, counters, and drives him down with royal certainty.

Another figure rises behind him.

Arthur meets him too.

The crown does not make him safe.

It makes him hunted.

But still…

The king stands.

2) Blonde Bombshells — Alice, Dorothy & Rapunzel

(Bright storybook light floods the screen.)

(Then the color sharpens into something dangerous.)

Alice moves first—quick, fluid, smiling as she slips through a strike and sends her opponent spinning.

Dorothy follows with perfect timing, cutting the escape off before it begins.

Then Rapunzel steps in.

Graceful.

Precise.

No wasted motion.

Three women stand together as the fallen opponent reaches for them and finds nothing.

A familiar dream.

A dangerous mirror.

A fairytale with sharper teeth.

3) Robin Hood

(An arrow cuts through darkness.)

(It strikes a hanging lantern, and green light spills across the ring.)

Robin Hood ducks beneath a wild swing by inches.

He answers instantly.

One shot to stagger.

One movement to shift position.

One clean finish to end the moment before his opponent understands it.

He rises with calm defiance and looks toward the hard camera.

Not a prince.

Not a servant.

Not a man waiting for permission.

A thief.

A hero.

A problem no king can tax away.

4) The King’s Hand

(A gauntleted hand closes around a royal seal.)

(The wax cracks.)

The Sheriff of Nottingham steps through torchlight, cold authority in every movement.

Will Scarlet strikes beside him, violence wrapped in loyalty and resentment.

The King’s Collectors close in after them.

No chaos.

No wasted cruelty.

Only enforcement.

A man is dragged down.

Another is silenced.

Another is left staring up at the lights while the Hand of power tightens around the ring.

The law has arrived.

And mercy was never written into it.

5) Crimson Viper — The Queen of Hearts

(Red roses bloom across black parchment.)

(One by one, the petals fall.)

Crimson Viper stands motionless as her opponent circles.

Then she smiles.

A trap springs.

A strike lands.

A body folds.

She moves like a sentence already passed, turning panic into punishment.

The Queen of Hearts does not chase control.

She assumes it.

And when the final blow lands, there is no rage in her eyes.

Only judgment.

6) Monster Bash’s Enforcers — Kong & Ogre

(Chains drag across stone.)

(The sound becomes a heartbeat.)

Kong surges forward and crushes an opponent into the corner with impossible force.

Ogre follows, lifting another body high before driving it down with brutal finality.

No pageantry.

No speeches.

No warning.

Tag made simple.

Power made sacred.

Two bodies fall.

Two monsters remain.

Kong and Ogre stand over the wreckage, gold and violence bound together.

The Enforcers do not protect a throne.

They make sure no one survives long enough to challenge it.

7) Raigen the Maryu

(Red and gold flame cuts across the screen.)

(A dragon’s shadow coils behind it.)

Raigen stands in the center of the ring, still as a blade before the strike.

His opponent rushes him.

Raigen erupts.

A brutal combination lands in flashes—strike, turn, impact, silence.

The old storm is gone.

Something darker has taken its place.

He lowers one hand.

The air around him seems to burn.

This is not Raigen returning.

This is Raigen becoming.

The Maryu has awakened.

8) Blood Oni Syndicate — Lord Kurogami, Kaen, Enrai & Yurei Rinn

(The screen fades to black again.)

(A single red mask appears.)

(Then another.)

(Then another.)

(Lord Kurogami stands in shadow, unmoving, his presence heavier than sound.)

Kaen steps through firelight, fists clenched, eyes burning with violent purpose.

Enrai follows beneath a flash of white-blue lightning, calm and lethal.

Yurei Rinn appears last, ghostlike, silent, her stare fixed on something the audience cannot see.

Four figures.

One shadow.

The ring becomes a ritual space.

The Syndicate does not enter stories.

It infects them.

And when Lord Kurogami raises one hand…

The darkness answers.

(The choir rises.)

(War drums thunder beneath it.)

(The arena appears, lit like a cathedral built for judgment.)

Voice-over:
“This isn’t the North.”

“This isn’t the light.”

(beat)

“This is where crowns are tested.”

“Where heroes are hunted.”

“Where monsters wear gold.”

“And where every victory leaves a scar.”

(The music drops.)

(Only the bell remains.)

Voice-over:
“In DARK FABLE… the story does not end happily.”

(beat)

“It ends… with a winner.”

(A final image flashes: crown, arrow, rose, chain, dragon flame, oni mask.)

Voice-over:
“And in Quarter Three…”

(beat)

“The story belongs to whoever is strong enough to take it.”

(The bell tolls one final time.)

Voice-over:
“This… is DARK FABLE.”

2. CROWD SHOT AND WELCOMING

The darkness of the opening gives way to the thunderous interior of Scrooge’s Camelot Coliseum.

Blue-and-gold light sweeps across the stone walls. Torches burn along the upper balconies. Thousands of spectators rise beneath banners, shields, and hanging crests as the camera moves through the building.

One section raises silver hammers in support of John Henry.

Across the aisle, black shields bearing the mark of the Black Knight rise in answer.

Golden banners marked with the image of a lion hang near the lower bowl. Above them, dark blue cloth twists beneath painted moons and drifting sand in support of Sandman.

Long strands of gold ribbon descend from another section as supporters of Rapunzel chant her name. Bronze shields and white owl symbols answer for Athena.

Near the entranceway, two groups stand divided beneath opposing imagery.

One carries painted faces of ancient beasts and creatures of legend for the Monsters of Myth.

The other raises silver bows, red cloaks, and polished hunting blades for the Fairest Hunters.

Then the camera finds the largest division in the building.

Red-and-gold flames rise across one side of the coliseum for Raigen.

Across from them, disciplined rows of supporters hold dark banners bearing the crest of Masa Tanenaga.

Above the ring, the Eternal Flame Championship appears on the central screen.

The crowd roars.

The image changes.

The blue-and-gold crest of Camelot fills the screen.

The Mythic Crown Championship rises beneath it.

Then the crest is split by a golden spear.

The face of Ares appears on one side.

The face of King Arthur appears on the other.

The reaction becomes deafening.

At ringside, Julian Ward and Brick Brody sit behind the commentary desk as the camera settles upon them.

Julian Ward: “Good evening, and welcome to NPCW Dark Fable, live from Scrooge’s Camelot Coliseum. I am Julian Ward, joined as always by Brick Brody, and tonight this division gathers beneath a crown that has begun speaking more loudly than the king who carries it.”

Brick Brody: “The crown is not the problem, Julian Ward. The men lining up to hit the king are the problem. Fortunately, I enjoy that kind of problem.”

The camera cuts briefly toward the entranceway.

The crest of the Round Table appears upon the stage screen.

A dark blade strikes through it.

Then blue-white fire seals the fracture.

Julian Ward: “One week ago, the Round Table entered wounded and surrounded. Sir Lancelot, still carrying the damage inflicted by Frankenstein’s Monster, stood beside Sir Gawain and Sir Galahad against Sir Agravaine and the Dread Knights.”

The screen shows Sir Lancelot enduring repeated Backbreakers, Piledrivers, and attacks directed toward his injured spine.

Then the final Superkick lands against Dread Knight Two.

Brick Brody: “They worked over Sir Lancelot for twenty-seven minutes. Back, ribs, neck, head. Every place already damaged, they damaged again. And the stubborn fool kept throwing that Superkick until one finally stayed down.”

Julian Ward: “The Round Table prevailed, but survival did not repair the fracture within Camelot. Sir Agravaine left beside Myrrden with resentment intact, while Sir Lancelot required the support of his brothers merely to remain standing.”

Brick Brody: “That is the truth about victory. Sometimes the winner gets his hand raised. Sometimes the winner gets carried out by his friends.”

The Round Table crest fades.

A black wrestling mask appears against the screen.

Plain.

Unmarked.

The crowd reaction changes immediately.

Julian Ward: “Later that evening, an alliance formed beneath more uncertain circumstances. After coming to the aid of Raigen, Taro Okami joined the Eternal Flame Champion against Kaen and Enrai of Kaminari Hono.”

Footage shows Raigen trapping Enrai in the Demon Sleeper.

Taro Okami repeatedly drives knees into the faces of both opponents.

The closing sequence follows.

A Judo Throw from Taro Okami.

Raigen sends Kaen through the ropes.

The count reaches ten.

Julian Ward: “They did not possess the years of shared experience carried by Kaminari Hono, but Raigen and Taro Okami disrupted their rhythm and won by count-out after Kaen failed to return to the ring.”

Brick Brody: “They won, but do not polish it into something it was not. Kaen was counted out. He was not pinned, and he did not submit. Lord Kurogami still has two angry men, and angry men improve when somebody gives them a target.”

The screen returns to the black mask.

Footage shows Hana Nakamura finding it beside the equipment bag of Taro Okami after the interview room had emptied.

She turns it slowly in her hands.

Julian Ward: “But another question remained after the victory. Hana Nakamura discovered this mask beside the equipment bag of Taro Okami. No markings. No explanation. And no answer from the man who had already left for the ring.”

Brick Brody: “Everybody became suspicious because a wrestler owned a mask. Half this division carries swords, curses, or family grudges older than the building. Let the man own fabric.”

Julian Ward: “It was not merely what she found. It was when she found it. One week after Enrai used a mask to conceal his involvement in an ambush upon Raigen.”

Brick Brody: “Then ask Taro Okami. Until somebody proves otherwise, all Hana Nakamura found was something left on a floor.”

The mask burns away beneath red-and-gold flame.

The Eternal Flame Championship fills the stage screen.

The crowd rises again.

Julian Ward: “Tonight, the uncertainty surrounding Taro Okami remains, but the Eternal Flame Champion faces a more immediate trial.”

The image of Raigen appears within the fire.

Across from him stands Masa Tanenaga.

Between them, the championship burns.

Julian Ward: “The Eternal Flame Championship will be defended in a two-out-of-three falls contest. Raigen meets Masa Tanenaga, and the champion must prove himself across more than one decisive moment.”

Brick Brody: “That is the difference between winning a match and surviving a series. One mistake does not finish you. It teaches the other man where to hurt you in the next fall.”

Julian Ward: “Two weeks ago, Raigen defeated Kaen in two straight falls before the post-match assault began. Last week, he stood beside Taro Okami and disrupted Kaminari Hono. Tonight, there is no partner, no count-out victory to share, and no championship advantage beyond the requirement that Masa Tanenaga defeat him twice.”

Brick Brody: “And that requirement cuts both ways. Raigen has to beat Masa Tanenaga twice as well. A champion can survive the first fall and still discover he has nothing left for the third.”

The flames disappear.

Bronze light spreads across the stage.

A golden owl opens its wings.

Footage from the previous week shows Athena driving Lady Guinevere down with Wisdom’s Wrath, the Owl Wing Backbreaker, the Huntress Spear, and the Oracle’s Curse.

Then Lady Guinevere lifts Athena and finishes the match with the Alabama Slam.

Julian Ward: “Another court was tested last week when Athena, accompanied by Zeus, faced Lady Guinevere. Athena controlled long stretches of that contest and repeatedly attacked the neck and back, but she could not keep the queen of Camelot down.”

Brick Brody: “She had Lady Guinevere hurt. Pedigree. Backbreaker. Spear. Sleeper Slam. That should have been enough. It was not, and that is the only part Athena should remember.”

Julian Ward: “Tonight, Athena returns against Rapunzel.”

Golden strands descend across the screen.

The face of Rapunzel appears opposite the bronze-armored warrior.

Julian Ward: “For Athena, this is the first step after a defeat that challenged both her strength and her judgment. For Rapunzel, it is an opportunity to defeat one of the most disciplined warriors ever to enter this division.”

Brick Brody: “And Rapunzel should understand something. Athena is more dangerous tonight than she was last week. A proud fighter coming off a loss does not want competition. She wants somebody else to carry the humiliation.”

The screen darkens.

Sand begins falling through the image.

The sound of distant bells becomes slow and distorted.

Footage shows Sandman trapping Allan A Dale in the Sleeper and ending their previous encounter in only three minutes.

Then the image of Lion appears beneath a burst of gold.

Julian Ward: “Tonight also brings together two very different forces. Lion meets Sandman.”

Brick Brody: “Strength against silence. Claws against sleep. I do not care how brave Lion is. Courage becomes useless when the eyes close.”

Julian Ward:Sandman has demonstrated how quickly he can remove an opponent from consciousness. Lion brings direct power, aggression, and the instinct to confront danger rather than retreat from it.”

Brick Brody: “Then he better confront it before Sandman wraps an arm around his throat. Every beast becomes peaceful when the air stops.”

The falling sand scatters.

Ancient stone carvings emerge across the stage screen.

Creatures from legend appear within them.

Some beautiful.

Some monstrous.

All dangerous.

The symbols divide.

The Monsters of Myth appear on one side.

The Fairest Hunters stand upon the other.

Julian Ward: “The divisions between hunter and hunted will also be tested when the Monsters of Myth face the Fairest Hunters.”

Brick Brody: “Those names tell you everything. One side believes monsters should be tracked. The other side believes hunters should become prey.”

Julian Ward: “The Fairest Hunters enter with a shared purpose built around pursuit, preparation, and the removal of threats. But the Monsters of Myth are not creatures waiting helplessly in the dark. They are competitors who have learned to turn fear into territory.”

Brick Brody: “A hunter likes distance, a plan, and time to aim. Put the hunter inside the ring with the thing she came to kill, and the plan becomes much shorter.”

The stone carvings crack.

A black gauntlet appears.

A heavy sword strikes an iron anvil.

The crowd reacts as sparks spread across the stage screen.

The face of John Henry appears beneath the hammer.

The armored silhouette of the Black Knight waits opposite him.

Julian Ward: “Our opening contest tonight carries no crown and no championship, but it presents a direct trial of will. John Henry faces the Black Knight.”

Brick Brody: “Steel against steel. One man built his name by refusing to let the machine break him. The other hides inside armor and wants the world to believe nothing beneath it can be touched.”

Julian Ward:John Henry has always represented endurance through labor, pain, and human strength. The Black Knight represents something colder. An opponent who continues advancing even after reason says the body should stop.”

Brick Brody: “Reason does not matter when two men decide to hit each other until one stays down. Start the show properly. Let the hammer test the armor.”

The image changes again.

The crest of Nottingham appears in dark red wax.

Footage from the previous week shows Prince John striking Hansel in the ribs with his sceptre.

The Sheriff of Nottingham makes the cover.

The count reaches three.

Julian Ward: “The ambitions surrounding the Mythic Crown Championship also widened last week. The Sheriff of Nottingham declared that his victory over Hansel would become the first stone upon a road toward the crown.”

Brick Brody: “And the first stone was laid with a sceptre across the ribs. I call that efficient construction.”

Julian Ward: “The record shows victory for the Sheriff of Nottingham. The image shows Prince John creating it. Yet the declaration remains. Another challenger now believes the throne should recognize him.”

Brick Brody: “The champion said challengers must survive long enough to stand before him. The Sheriff of Nottingham is making sure other people do not survive long enough to get there first.”

The Nottingham seal fades.

Harsh fluorescent light fills the stage screen.

The metal desk of The Bunker appears.

Photographs of Mordred, the Sheriff of Nottingham, and Robin Hood lie across it.

Then the footage shows Dave Kent seated across from King Arthur.

The Mythic Crown Championship rests upon the king’s lap.

The crowd grows louder.

Julian Ward: “And then came the conversation which continues to hang over Camelot.”

Brick Brody: “You mean the part where Dave Kent kept insulting the king while sitting safely behind a desk?”

Julian Ward: “I mean the part where King Arthur revealed how greatly his view of authority has changed.”

The screen shows Dave Kent placing the photograph of Robin Hood before the champion.

King Arthur calls Robin Hood a problem for questioning the throne publicly.

The final words appear across the screen.

Then Robin Hood will learn the difference between standing beside a king and standing against one.

The crowd reaction becomes divided.

Julian Ward:King Arthur acknowledged Robin Hood as a problem. Not because Robin Hood attacked him. Not because he challenged for the championship. Because his friend questioned what the crown was becoming.”

Brick Brody: “A king surrounded by enemies does not need friends holding public debates about his judgment. Robin Hood spoke. King Arthur answered. That is not corruption. That is hierarchy.”

Julian Ward:Dave Kent asked which man presented the greatest danger to the reign of King Arthur. Mordred. Frankenstein’s Monster. The Sheriff of Nottingham. Or Robin Hood. The champion answered that the greatest threat was the man who mistook restraint for weakness.”

Brick Brody: “Good answer. Every one of them should assume he meant them.”

Footage shifts to the previous week’s main event.

Mordred attacks the neck and legs of Takuma Ryujin.

Myrrden strikes Takuma Ryujin with his staff.

The Golden Star Powerbomb lands.

Myrrden shoves Honest Abe, but Lady Ayame Ryu prevents a second interference.

The count reaches three.

Julian Ward: “Later that night, Takuma Ryujin halted the momentum of Mordred. He survived the Sharpshooter, repeated attacks to the neck, the Spear, the interference of Myrrden, and multiple near falls before finishing the Broken Crown’s heir with the Golden Star Powerbomb.”

Brick Brody: “And Mordred left with something worse than a loss. Another enemy. Look at the way he stared at Takuma Ryujin. Hatred grows quickly when a man keeps collecting reasons.”

Julian Ward: “The Broken Crown did not advance last week. But neither Mordred nor Myrrden has ever treated defeat as an ending.”

The footage disappears.

A war drum begins.

Golden lightning strikes the stage screen.

The silhouette of Ares appears within smoke and fire.

Across from him, the crest of Camelot rises.

King Arthur stands beneath it with the Mythic Crown Championship across his shoulder.

The crowd reaches its loudest response of the evening.

Julian Ward: “And tonight, King Arthur enters the ring.”

Brick Brody: “Good. Enough speeches. Let the king answer with his fists.”

Julian Ward: “The Mythic Crown Championship will not be defended. But the authority carried by its champion will be tested when King Arthur faces Ares.”

The screen shows a golden spear striking a blue shield.

Both symbols fracture.

Julian Ward: “Last week, King Arthur declared that the crown is authority. Tonight, he stands across from a figure who does not recognize mortal authority as absolute.”

Brick Brody:Ares does not care about Camelot, Sherwood, Nottingham, or what Dave Kent thinks the championship has done to the king. Ares understands war. War does not ask whether a ruler has become arrogant. It asks whether he can survive.”

Julian Ward: “For King Arthur, this is the first contest since he publicly defined Robin Hood as a problem and warned every challenger against mistaking restraint for weakness.”

Brick Brody: “Then this is perfect. Ares will not mistake anything. He is going to attack the king and see what remains after the armor stops shining.”

Julian Ward: “A champion confronting a god of war. Not for the crown, but perhaps for the right to continue speaking as though the crown has placed him beyond question.”

Brick Brody: “Nobody is beyond question. Some men are simply strong enough to punish whoever asks.”

The camera pulls back from the commentary desk.

Blue-and-gold light covers one half of the coliseum.

Gold and crimson burn across the other.

Between them, the ring waits beneath a single white light.

Julian Ward: “Six contests. The hammer meets the armored darkness. Lion walks toward the silence of Sandman. Rapunzel faces a wounded and dangerous Athena. The Monsters of Myth meet the Fairest Hunters. Raigen defends the Eternal Flame Championship against Masa Tanenaga across two-out-of-three falls.”

The stage screen fills with the final image.

King Arthur and Ares stand on opposite sides of a fractured crown.

Julian Ward: “And in our main event, the king who claims the right to command faces the god who has never required permission to wage war.”

Brick Brody: “By the end of tonight, we will know whether King Arthur still wears that crown because he is the strongest man in Camelot, or because nobody dangerous enough has hit him lately.”

A heavy bell sounds once.

The lights begin to lower.

The image of an iron hammer appears across the stage screen.

A black sword strikes against it.

Sparks fall over the entranceway.

Julian Ward: “We begin with endurance against armor. John Henry faces the Black Knight.”

Brick Brody: “Ring the bell and find out which one breaks.”

The camera turns toward the ring, where Louie Linville steps into position beneath the gathering light.

3. MATCH 1

The camera returns to the ring inside Scrooge’s Camelot Coliseum.

The blue-and-gold illumination from the opening welcome fades. A deep metallic rhythm begins beneath the roar of the crowd.

Hammer against iron.

One strike.

Then another.

The stage screen fills with the image of a great steel rail driven across a field of black stone. Sparks rise with every blow until the rail bends beneath the force.

A final strike lands.

The screen flashes white.

John Henry steps onto the stage.

The crowd erupts.

He stands beneath a wash of furnace-orange light, broad shoulders squared and heavy fists hanging at his sides. His wrestling gear carries the dark blue, iron gray, and weathered brown of a man shaped by labor rather than ceremony.

There is no weapon in his hand.

He does not require one.

The hammer is in the body.

The hammer is in the will.

Julian Ward: “Our opening contest presents a direct collision of endurance and uncertainty. John Henry has built his name upon the refusal to yield, even when strength, machinery, and exhaustion insist that resistance should end.”

Brick Brody: “That story sounds impressive until the other man kicks you in the face. John Henry is strong. Everybody knows it. Tonight, he has to catch a man who moves like armor should not be able to move.”

John Henry begins walking down the ramp.

He acknowledges the crowd with one raised fist, but his attention remains fixed upon the ring. Supporters near the barricade pound their hands against the steel in rhythm with his entrance.

Hammer against iron.

Hammer against iron.

John Henry climbs the ring steps and enters between the ropes. He moves to the center, plants both feet, and looks toward the entranceway.

The furnace light dies.

A cold wind moves through the coliseum.

The stage screen becomes a ruined battlefield beneath a dead gray sky.

Broken swords stand upright in the earth.

Black banners hang from shattered spears.

A mounted knight appears as a silhouette against the horizon, but the horse slowly fades from beneath him.

The knight remains.

Standing alone.

A low horn sounds.

Myrrden steps through the smoke.

His hood conceals most of his face. His staff rests against one shoulder, and his movements carry the patient certainty of someone who expects the darkness to arrive before him.

Behind him comes the Black Knight.

The crowd reacts with immediate hostility.

The Black Knight wears dark armor-inspired wrestling gear, its surface marked by scratches, dents, and muted silver edges. His face remains hidden behind a severe black helmet and mask. He walks without visible haste, but every step lands with deliberate weight.

Julian Ward: “The Black Knight enters beside Myrrden, carrying neither allegiance nor explanation. He has appeared as an armored contradiction—heavy enough to crush an opponent, yet capable of movement few men his size should possess.”

Brick Brody: “That is what makes him dangerous. A strong man prepares for strength. He does not prepare for the suit of armor to come flying off the ropes.”

Myrrden leads the descent.

The Black Knight follows several steps behind, his gaze fixed entirely upon John Henry.

At ringside, Myrrden stops near the corner post and lowers the base of his staff against the floor.

The Black Knight climbs onto the apron and steps through the ropes.

He moves toward the center.

John Henry does not retreat.

For several seconds, the two men stand chest-to-chest beneath the cold light.

Human endurance against armored mystery.

In the center of the ring, Louie Linville raises the microphone.

Louie Linville: “Ladies and gentlemen, this opening contest is scheduled for one fall.”

The crowd responds loudly.

Louie Linville: “The referee assigned to this match is ‘Honest’ Abe.”

‘Honest’ Abe steps forward and looks toward Myrrden, warning him to remain on the floor.

Louie Linville: “Introducing first, the unbreakable hand of human will, the man who met the machine and refused to yield, John Henry!”

The coliseum erupts.

John Henry raises one fist and strikes it against his chest.

Louie Linville: “And his opponent, accompanied to the ring by Myrrden. The shadow beneath the armor, the blade that refuses burial, the Black Knight!”

Boos fill the building.

The Black Knight remains motionless.

Myrrden watches from the floor without reaction.

‘Honest’ Abe gives both men their final instructions.

John Henry closes his fists.

The Black Knight lowers his center of gravity.

The bell rings.

Minute 1

John Henry advances immediately and catches the Black Knight around the body.

He lifts the armored competitor across one shoulder and drives him down over the knee with a Backbreaker.

Julian Ward: “A Backbreaker from John Henry in the opening exchange. He is testing whether the body beneath that armor can absorb the same punishment as any other man.”

The Black Knight rolls through the impact and rises with startling speed.

He turns through the momentum and crashes across John Henry’s upper chest with a Rolling Clothesline.

Both men hit the canvas.

Brick Brody: “There it is. The armor moved before John Henry could admire the Backbreaker.”

Julian Ward: “Both men land significant offense. John Henry produces the greater lift, but the Black Knight answers with speed and collision.”

They rise on opposite sides of the ring, neither appearing willing to concede the first exchange.

Minute 2

John Henry reaches for a Bodyslam.

The Black Knight shifts his weight before the lift can be completed, slides behind, and breaks the grip.

Julian Ward: “The Black Knight reverses the Bodyslam before John Henry can establish his base.”

The Black Knight rebounds from the ropes.

He turns through another Rolling Clothesline and drives the full weight of his body across John Henry’s chest and jaw.

Brick Brody: “That is twice. John Henry keeps trying to lift the armor, and the armor keeps running him over.”

John Henry falls backward and absorbs the punishment without producing an immediate answer.

The Black Knight stands over him for a moment before stepping away.

Julian Ward: “The second minute belongs entirely to the Black Knight. He anticipated the strength and converted defense into direct impact.”

Minute 3

John Henry rises and catches the Black Knight charging.

He grips him beneath both arms and presses him high overhead.

The crowd rises as the armored body is held above John Henry’s head.

Julian Ward: “Extraordinary strength from John Henry. The Gorilla Press is fully established.”

The Black Knight attempts to shift his weight and escape.

John Henry maintains control and throws him down into the center of the ring.

The impact echoes through the coliseum.

Brick Brody: “That is how you test armor. Pick it up and see what breaks when it lands.”

The Black Knight rolls toward one knee.

Before John Henry can follow, the lights near the entranceway dim.

A thin stream of blue sand begins falling across the stage screen.

The crowd reaction changes.

Sandman steps onto the ramp.

He does not advance toward the ring.

He simply stands beneath the dark blue light, hands folded loosely before him, watching.

Julian Ward:Sandman has appeared upon the ramp.”

Brick Brody: “He faces Lion later tonight, but he is watching John Henry and the Black Knight instead. Maybe he enjoys seeing which man gets tired first.”

Inside the ring, John Henry glances briefly toward the entranceway.

The Black Knight does not.

Sandman remains still.

Minute 4

John Henry returns his attention to the match and pulls the Black Knight across one knee with another Backbreaker.

Julian Ward: “Another Backbreaker from John Henry. The spine and lower back are becoming a deliberate target.”

The Black Knight rolls toward the ropes.

As John Henry approaches, the Black Knight springs onto the middle strand.

He launches backward with an Asai Moonsault, catches John Henry’s head on the descent, and drives him into the canvas with a DDT.

The crowd reacts sharply.

Brick Brody: “That should not be possible. A man dressed like a fortress just turned a Moonsault into a DDT.”

Julian Ward: “An extraordinary counter from the Black Knight. John Henry scored first, but the more dangerous landing belongs to the armored competitor.”

John Henry lies face-down for several seconds.

On the ramp, Sandman tilts his head slightly.

Nothing else in his posture changes.

Minute 5

The Black Knight reaches down.

John Henry surges upward, catches him across the torso, and drives him down over the knee with a third Backbreaker.

The Black Knight cannot prevent the landing.

Julian Ward:John Henry returns to the back again. The Black Knight absorbs the full impact.”

Brick Brody: “Good. Stop chasing the acrobatics. Grab the man, bend the spine, and make the armor carry its own weight.”

John Henry keeps one hand against the Black Knight’s shoulder and presses him toward the mat.

‘Honest’ Abe warns him away from a choke.

John Henry releases and rises.

The Black Knight rolls toward the corner, one hand pressed against his lower back.

Julian Ward: “For the first time, sustained damage is beginning to appear. The Black Knight can move with remarkable speed, but repeated force against the spine may reduce that advantage.”

Minute 6

Both men rise and charge.

John Henry swings the Hammer Drop, a crushing Forearm Smash aimed across the side of the head.

At the same moment, the Black Knight leaves his feet with a Dropkick.

The forearm clips the Black Knight’s shoulder.

Both boots drive into John Henry’s chest.

Both men fall.

Julian Ward: “Hammer Drop against the Dropkick. Both attacks connect.”

Brick Brody: “That was a fair trade only if neither man enjoys breathing.”

John Henry rolls onto one knee.

The Black Knight uses the ropes to pull himself upright.

On the ramp, Sandman continues watching without visible emotion.

Julian Ward: “Neither man gains control. John Henry lands the heavier strike, while the Black Knight uses movement to keep the collision equal.”

Minute 7

The Black Knight advances.

John Henry catches him at the waist, lifts, turns, and drives him down across the knee with another Backbreaker.

The Black Knight attempts to brace but absorbs the full descent.

Julian Ward: “A fourth Backbreaker from John Henry. The strategy has become unmistakable.”

Brick Brody: “The Black Knight can flip, spring, and kick all he wants. Every landing becomes harder when the back stops cooperating.”

John Henry presses a forearm against the armored chest and forces the Black Knight flat against the mat.

He does not cover.

Instead, he pulls him upright and drags him toward the center.

Julian Ward:John Henry is not searching for a quick result. He is dismantling the base beneath the Black Knight’s movement.”

The Black Knight remains standing, but his posture has begun to stiffen.

Minute 8

John Henry wraps both arms around the Black Knight’s torso and locks in a Bearhug.

The armored competitor’s body bends beneath the pressure.

Julian Ward: “The Bearhug is secured. John Henry is compressing the ribs while forcing the already damaged lower back to carry the hold.”

‘Honest’ Abe asks the Black Knight if he submits.

The Black Knight gives no verbal answer.

He drives both hands against John Henry’s shoulders, creates a narrow opening, and suddenly lifts the larger man.

The Black Knight powers John Henry upward and drives him down with a Powerbomb.

The ring shakes.

Brick Brody: “That is the answer. He did not break the grip. He picked up the man applying it and put him through the canvas.”

The Bearhug loosens but does not immediately release.

John Henry attempts to tighten it again from the mat.

The Black Knight refuses to submit and forces himself free.

Julian Ward: “The Bearhug causes damage, but the Powerbomb prevents John Henry from maintaining control. Neither man leaves the exchange without punishment.”

Minute 9

Both men rise slowly.

John Henry closes both hands around the Black Knight’s throat and chest.

He lifts him high with a double-handed chokelift and throws him across the ring with Iron Collision.

The Black Knight crashes onto his back.

The crowd erupts.

Julian Ward: “Iron Collision from John Henry. The Black Knight is thrown across the ring with enormous force.”

The Black Knight rolls through the impact and reaches the ropes.

Before John Henry can close the distance, the Black Knight leaps onto the top strand.

He twists backward through the air and crashes down with a Springboard 450 Splash.

The impact drives both men flat.

Brick Brody: “That is madness. He got thrown like scrap metal and came back with a 450 Splash.”

Julian Ward: “Both men land their strongest attack of the match so far. John Henry delivers overwhelming force. The Black Knight answers with impossible movement.”

On the ramp, Sandman remains unmoving.

His eyes stay fixed upon the ring.

Minute 10

John Henry pulls the Black Knight upright and moves behind him.

He attempts to lift him for a Back Suplex Bomb.

The Black Knight hooks one leg around John Henry’s thigh and drops his weight.

The lift stalls.

Julian Ward: “The Black Knight neutralizes the Back Suplex Bomb before John Henry can elevate him.”

The Black Knight turns inside the grip, drives an elbow into the ribs, and forces separation.

Brick Brody: “That was smart. He has absorbed enough heavy landings. Stop the lift before strength becomes gravity.”

John Henry reaches again.

The Black Knight withdraws toward the ropes and keeps his guard high.

Neither man lands a decisive follow-up.

Julian Ward: “No damage scored by John Henry, but the defense matters. The Black Knight has shown he can prevent the power when he recognizes the position early enough.”

Minute 11

Both men hesitate near the center.

John Henry watches for the Springboard attack.

The Black Knight waits for another lift.

Neither commits.

The stillness breaks.

John Henry catches the Black Knight from behind and drives him down across the knee with an Atomic Drop.

The Black Knight stumbles forward but turns immediately.

He catches John Henry around the waist, powers him upward, and drives him down with another Powerbomb.

Julian Ward: “Atomic Drop from John Henry, answered by the Powerbomb from the Black Knight.”

Brick Brody: “The Black Knight took the first blow and still produced the stronger landing.”

The Black Knight remains seated beside John Henry, breathing heavily.

John Henry rolls onto one shoulder and presses a hand against his lower back.

Julian Ward: “The repeated Powerbombs are beginning to challenge the endurance that defines John Henry.”

Minute 12

Both men reset again.

The Black Knight keeps his hands high and waits for another attempt at the body.

John Henry steps forward and swings the Hammer Drop.

The forearm crashes across the side of the Black Knight’s head.

The armored competitor attempts to brace, but the strike breaks through.

Julian Ward: “The Hammer Drop lands cleanly. The Black Knight could not prevent the forearm from striking through the guard.”

The Black Knight falls against the ropes.

John Henry follows with another clubbing forearm across the shoulders.

Brick Brody: “That is what John Henry needed. Stop giving the Black Knight room to create momentum. Stand close and hit him.”

‘Honest’ Abe warns John Henry away as the Black Knight becomes tangled briefly in the ropes.

John Henry steps back at four.

Julian Ward: “The match has shifted again. John Henry is reducing the space and forcing the Black Knight into a direct fight.”

Minute 13

The Black Knight leaves the ropes and attempts to regain balance.

John Henry moves behind him and lands another Atomic Drop.

The Black Knight staggers but catches John Henry turning.

He locks both arms around the waist and launches him backward with a German Suplex.

Julian Ward: “Another Atomic Drop from John Henry, but the Black Knight answers with the German Suplex.”

Brick Brody: “That is a brutal exchange. One man attacks the base. The other throws the entire body onto the shoulders.”

John Henry rolls through to one knee.

The Black Knight remains on his back for several seconds before forcing himself upright.

Julian Ward: “The damage remains balanced. Neither man can score without receiving punishment in return.”

On the ramp, Sandman lowers his gaze briefly toward the floor.

The blue sand continues falling behind him.

Minute 14

John Henry catches the Black Knight reaching forward.

He secures the pumphandle, lifts the armored body, and drives him down with the Steel Driver.

The sit-out Powerbomb shakes the ring.

The crowd rises.

Julian Ward: “The Steel Driver connects. The Black Knight is driven directly into the canvas.”

During the descent, the Black Knight throws one leg upward.

The boot catches John Henry beneath the jaw with a desperate Superkick.

Brick Brody: “He was being Powerbombed and still found the face. That is either instinct or spite.”

John Henry falls across the Black Knight’s chest and hooks the leg.

‘Honest’ Abe drops into position.

“One!”

The Black Knight kicks out.

Julian Ward: “An immediate escape by the Black Knight. The Steel Driver landed, but the Superkick prevented John Henry from securing the cover properly.”

Brick Brody: “That pin was a mistake. John Henry should have hit him again instead of assuming the fall had finished the work.”

John Henry sits beside the Black Knight, shaking the effects of the Superkick from his head.

Minute 15

Both men struggle upright.

The Black Knight raises his guard.

John Henry breaks through it.

He grips the Black Knight with both hands, lifts him high, and throws him across the ring with another Iron Collision.

The Black Knight attempts to brace during the descent.

He cannot.

His body crashes hard against the mat.

Julian Ward: “A second Iron Collision. This time, the Black Knight absorbs the full throw without an answer.”

John Henry drops across him and hooks both legs.

‘Honest’ Abe counts.

“One!”

“Two!”

The Black Knight lifts one shoulder.

The crowd reacts loudly.

Brick Brody: “That was close. The armor nearly stayed down.”

Julian Ward: “The Black Knight survives at two, but the accumulated punishment to the back has left him slower after every landing.”

John Henry looks toward ‘Honest’ Abe, then toward Sandman on the ramp.

Sandman offers no reaction.

Minute 16

The Black Knight pulls himself upright using the ropes.

John Henry closes and swings another Hammer Drop.

The forearm strikes across the side of the helmet.

The Black Knight fires a Superkick at the same moment.

The boot catches John Henry beneath the jaw.

Both men stagger.

Julian Ward: “Hammer Drop and Superkick. Both men connect again.”

Brick Brody: “Neither one has enough sense left to protect himself. Good.”

John Henry remains standing but sways backward.

The Black Knight falls against the turnbuckles before pushing himself forward again.

Julian Ward: “The Hammer Drop carries greater weight, but the Superkick prevents John Henry from following. Every opening is being closed by retaliation.”

Minute 17

The Black Knight attacks before John Henry can fully recover.

He catches him beneath the arms and drives him down with another Powerbomb.

John Henry attempts to widen his stance and defend.

The Black Knight powers through the resistance.

The impact folds John Henry against the mat.

Julian Ward: “Another Powerbomb from the Black Knight. John Henry recognized the danger but could not stop the lift.”

Brick Brody: “That is the third one. Endurance is admirable until the spine starts sending objections.”

The Black Knight remains standing over John Henry.

He looks briefly toward Myrrden.

The hooded figure gives one slow nod.

Julian Ward: “The Black Knight has created his strongest period of control. John Henry has absorbed repeated Powerbombs, and the weight of the match is beginning to show.”

Minute 18

John Henry forces himself upright.

He catches the Black Knight and drives him down with a Bodyslam.

Julian Ward: “A Bodyslam from John Henry. He refuses to allow the Powerbomb to become the final statement.”

The Black Knight rolls through the landing.

He catches John Henry’s arms, hooks the body, and drives him down with Knight’s Fall.

The Styles Clash plants John Henry face-first into the canvas.

The crowd reacts sharply.

Brick Brody: “Knight’s Fall. John Henry just got driven straight into the mat.”

The Black Knight turns him over and hooks the leg.

‘Honest’ Abe drops into position.

“One!”

John Henry kicks out.

The crowd erupts.

Julian Ward:John Henry escapes at one.”

The Black Knight sits back on his knees.

For the first time, his posture shows visible disbelief.

Brick Brody: “That cover cost him. He expected Knight’s Fall to end the match, and John Henry threw him off before two.”

Julian Ward: “The move caused enormous damage, but the endurance of John Henry remains intact.”

On the ramp, Sandman raises his head again.

His attention sharpens.

Minute 19

The Black Knight pulls John Henry upright and attempts to continue the attack.

John Henry suddenly closes both hands around the upper body.

He lifts the Black Knight high and throws him across the ring with a third Iron Collision.

The armored body crashes into the canvas.

Julian Ward: “Iron Collision from John Henry. The Black Knight is thrown down with tremendous force.”

The Black Knight uses the momentum to kip upward.

He twists through the air and catches John Henry with a Kip-Up Frankensteiner.

John Henry rolls across the mat but rises first.

The Black Knight tries to follow.

His damaged back slows him.

Brick Brody: “The Black Knight found the counter, but he could not recover from the throw quickly enough.”

John Henry surges forward.

He grips the Black Knight again before the armored competitor can escape.

A fourth Iron Collision throws the Black Knight into the center of the ring.

The crowd erupts.

Julian Ward: “Another Iron Collision. The Black Knight has been overwhelmed by the repeated force.”

John Henry falls across the chest and hooks both legs.

‘Honest’ Abe drops to the mat.

“One!”

Myrrden steps toward the apron.

“Two!”

‘Honest’ Abe keeps his eyes on the shoulders.

“Three!”

The bell rings.

The coliseum erupts.

John Henry releases the cover and rolls onto his back, breathing heavily.

‘Honest’ Abe signals toward him.

Louie Linville: “Here is your winner, John Henry!”

John Henry rises slowly.

‘Honest’ Abe raises his arm.

The crowd pounds the barricades and seats in rhythm.

Hammer against iron.

Hammer against iron.

Across the ring, the Black Knight rolls toward the ropes and pulls himself upright. He looks first toward John Henry, then toward Myrrden.

The hooded figure shows no anger.

No disappointment.

Only consideration.

On the ramp, Sandman remains beneath the falling blue sand.

John Henry turns and looks directly toward him.

The celebration quiets slightly.

For several seconds, the two men hold one another’s gaze across the length of the entranceway.

Sandman gives no challenge.

No applause.

No explanation.

He simply turns and disappears behind the curtain.

The blue sand stops falling.

Brick Brody: “What was that supposed to mean?”

Julian Ward: “Whatever brought Sandman to the ramp, he watched John Henry endure Knight’s Fall, repeated Powerbombs, and the impossible movement of the Black Knight before winning through sustained force.”

The Black Knight leaves the ring and joins Myrrden on the floor.

Myrrden speaks quietly.

The Black Knight looks back once toward John Henry, then follows the hooded figure up the ramp.

Inside the ring, John Henry raises one fist toward the crowd.

Julian Ward:John Henry has prevailed after nineteen minutes of escalating punishment. He attacked the back repeatedly, endured the aerial offense of the Black Knight, and survived Knight’s Fall before returning to Iron Collision.”

Brick Brody: “The Black Knight nearly had him. Three Powerbombs, that ridiculous Moonsault DDT, and Knight’s Fall. But he made one mistake. He kept getting back within reach. John Henry only needed to grab him one more time.”

Julian Ward: “The victory belongs to human endurance tonight. Yet the image left behind is not only John Henry standing over the fallen armor. It is Sandman watching from the ramp, studying a man who proved that consciousness and will may endure far beyond expectation.”

RESULT: JOHN HENRY DEFEATS THE BLACK KNIGHT BY PINFALL AT THE 19-MINUTE MARK AFTER IRON COLLISION.

4. STEEL DRIVER VS MASTER OF DREAMS

The camera cuts backstage inside Scrooge’s Camelot Coliseum.

The interview area has been dressed in dark iron and weathered timber. A heavy steel rail rests across two wooden supports behind the interview position. Fresh hammer marks scar its surface beneath the red glow of nearby furnace lamps.

Hana Nakamura stands in the center of the frame with a microphone in hand.

Beside her stands John Henry.

The effects of his match remain visible. Sweat runs across his forehead and shoulders. One side of his jaw has begun to swell from the repeated Superkicks of the Black Knight. He keeps one hand pressed against his lower back after enduring multiple Powerbombs and Knight’s Fall.

Despite the damage, John Henry stands upright.

The crowd inside the arena cheers when he appears on the stage screen.

Hana Nakamura: “Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, the winner of tonight’s opening contest, John Henry.”

The crowd response grows louder.

Hana Nakamura turns toward him.

Hana Nakamura:John Henry, the Black Knight tested you with an extraordinary combination of strength, speed, and aerial offense. He drove you down with repeated Powerbombs and Knight’s Fall, but you continued fighting and ultimately won with Iron Collision.”

John Henry takes a slow breath before answering.

His voice is deep and measured, carrying the weight of someone accustomed to speaking over the sound of steel.

John Henry: “The Black Knight came prepared.”

He rolls one shoulder carefully.

John Henry: “He knew I would try to lift him. He knew I would try to break the strength beneath that armor. Every time I put him down, he found another way to rise.”

Hana Nakamura: “Were you surprised by how quickly he moved?”

John Henry: “Surprised?”

A faint smile appears through the exhaustion.

John Henry: “Yes.”

The smile disappears.

John Henry: “Stopped?”

He shakes his head.

John Henry: “No.”

The crowd cheers.

John Henry: “A man does not choose the weight placed before him.”

He looks toward the scarred steel rail behind them.

John Henry: “He chooses whether he carries it.”

John Henry lowers his hand from his back.

John Henry: “The Black Knight brought more weight than most. He dropped me on my back. He drove me onto my face. He kicked me beneath the jaw and expected the body to accept what had happened.”

His expression hardens.

John Henry: “But I have heard that argument before.”

Hana Nakamura: “From the machine?”

John Henry: “From every machine.”

He looks directly into the camera.

John Henry: “From every man who believed strength belonged only to him.”

A beat passes.

John Henry: “From every voice that said the work was too great, the hour was too late, and the body had already given enough.”

He closes one fist.

John Henry: “They all made the same mistake.”

Hana Nakamura: “What mistake was that?”

John Henry: “They thought pain was the same as defeat.”

The audience responds strongly.

Hana Nakamura: “Tonight, however, the Black Knight was not the only man watching you.”

The expression of John Henry changes.

The crowd noise inside the arena becomes more uncertain.

Hana Nakamura: “During the third minute of the match, Sandman appeared on the entrance ramp. He remained there throughout the contest and watched until after your victory.”

John Henry looks away from Hana Nakamura.

His attention moves toward the dark corridor beyond the interview area.

Hana Nakamura: “Do you know why?”

John Henry: “I know what he wanted me to remember.”

Hana Nakamura: “What was that?”

A silence follows.

John Henry: “That he has defeated me.”

He looks back toward Hana Nakamura.

John Henry: “Twice.”

The admission settles over the interview area.

John Henry: “The first time, I believed strength could force its way through anything he placed before me.”

His jaw tightens.

John Henry: “Then the world slowed.”

John Henry: “The air became heavy.”

John Henry: “The hands stopped answering when I called upon them.”

Hana Nakamura: “And the second time?”

John Henry: “The second time, I knew what was coming.”

He pauses.

John Henry: “Knowing did not stop it.”

The crowd becomes quieter.

John Henry: “That defeat was worse.”

Hana Nakamura: “Because you were prepared?”

John Henry: “Because I believed preparation made me immune.”

He looks toward the camera again.

John Henry: “It did not.”

There is no shame in his voice.

Only recognition.

John Henry:Sandman does not fight a man where the man is strongest.”

John Henry: “He waits.”

John Henry: “He allows the body to spend itself.”

John Henry: “Then he reaches into the space between exhaustion and sleep.”

His fist tightens.

John Henry: “Twice, he found that space.”

Hana Nakamura: “After seeing him tonight, do you believe he intends to face you again?”

John Henry: “He did not come out there to watch the Black Knight.”

The lights above the interview area flicker.

Once.

Then again.

A thin stream of blue sand begins falling from somewhere beyond the camera frame.

Hana Nakamura looks upward.

John Henry does not.

His eyes remain fixed upon the corridor.

John Henry: “He came to remind me that he believes the third result has already been written.”

A low whisper passes through the hallway.

It does not come from one direction.

It seems to move through the stone itself.

Sandman: “Written…”

The furnace lamps dim.

The red glow fades beneath deep blue light.

Hana Nakamura steps closer to John Henry.

The falling sand gathers across the floor in a narrow trail leading toward the corridor.

Sandman: “Before the hammer rose…”

A figure appears at the end of the hallway.

Sandman steps from the darkness.

His movement is slow and almost weightless. Dark robes trail close to the floor. Fine blue sand slips between his fingers, scattering with each step.

The crowd inside the arena reacts loudly.

John Henry turns fully toward him.

Sandman stops several feet away.

His expression is calm.

Not peaceful.

Calm in the way of something certain that resistance has already begun to weaken.

Sandman: “Before the steel was struck…”

He looks toward the damaged face of John Henry.

Sandman: “Before the body remembered how much pain it could carry…”

His eyes narrow slightly.

Sandman: “You dreamed of me.”

John Henry: “I did not dream.”

Sandman: “Every man dreams.”

A faint smile touches the face of Sandman.

Sandman: “Some dream of triumph.”

He takes another step forward.

Sandman: “Some dream of legacy.”

Another thin stream of sand falls from his hand.

Sandman: “You dream of proving that labor can conquer what waits beyond labor.”

John Henry: “You watched me finish my work tonight.”

Sandman: “I watched you exhaust yourself.”

The smile disappears.

Sandman: “There is a difference.”

John Henry steps forward.

Hana Nakamura moves slightly aside but keeps the microphone raised between them.

John Henry: “You saw me get back up.”

Sandman: “Yes.”

John Henry: “You saw me take what the Black Knight gave.”

Sandman: “Yes.”

John Henry: “You saw me win.”

Sandman: “I watched you become tired.”

The words produce a low reaction from the arena.

Sandman: “Every Backbreaker required strength.”

Sandman: “Every Iron Collision required breath.”

Sandman: “Every time you rose from the Powerbomb, the body surrendered something it cannot reclaim tonight.”

He lifts one hand.

Blue sand slips slowly between his fingers.

Sandman: “The Black Knight did not fail.”

John Henry’s eyes narrow.

Sandman: “He prepared you.”

John Henry: “For what?”

Sandman: “For sleep.”

The lights flicker again.

For one brief moment, the furnace lamps disappear entirely.

When they return, Sandman is standing closer.

Hana Nakamura startles but holds her position.

John Henry does not move backward.

Sandman: “You speak of machines as though steel is your oldest enemy.”

He looks toward the rail behind them.

Sandman: “Steel is honest.”

Sandman: “It tells you when it bends.”

Sandman: “It tells you when it breaks.”

His gaze returns to John Henry.

Sandman: “Sleep offers no such warning.”

John Henry: “You defeated me twice.”

Sandman gives one slow nod.

Sandman: “You remember.”

John Henry: “I remember everything.”

His voice grows firmer.

John Henry: “I remember the arm around my throat.”

John Henry: “I remember the strength leaving my hands.”

John Henry: “I remember waking up after the bell while you stood over me.”

He takes another step toward Sandman.

Their faces are now only inches apart.

John Henry: “And I remember what I learned.”

Sandman: “That even iron sleeps?”

John Henry: “That a man can survive waking beneath defeat.”

The crowd cheers.

John Henry: “You beat me once because I did not understand you.”

John Henry: “You beat me twice because I believed understanding was enough.”

His voice drops lower.

John Henry: “There will not be a third time.”

The smile returns to Sandman.

Sandman: “There is always a third dream.”

John Henry: “Then come find it.”

Sandman raises one hand toward the face of John Henry.

Blue sand gathers in his palm.

Hana Nakamura: “Wait—”

John Henry catches the wrist of Sandman before the sand can be thrown.

The crowd erupts.

The expression of Sandman does not change.

John Henry tightens his grip.

Sandman leans forward.

Sandman: “You are already slower.”

John Henry: “I am still awake.”

The furnace lights begin pulsing between red and blue.

Hana Nakamura backs away as both men press forward.

John Henry releases the wrist and closes both fists.

Sandman opens his hand.

The blue sand begins rising rather than falling, circling his fingers in a slow spiral.

Before either man can strike, a measured voice enters the corridor.

Alton Bell: “Enough.”

The lights stabilize.

Alton Bell steps into the interview area.

He wears a dark formal suit beneath a long charcoal coat. His hands remain folded behind his back. His expression is calm, but the authority in his presence immediately changes the room.

Sandman lowers his hand.

The sand falls harmlessly to the floor.

John Henry does not take his eyes from him.

Alton Bell walks between the two men without urgency.

Alton Bell: “This corridor was not built to contain the conclusion you are attempting to force upon it.”

John Henry: “Then give us somewhere that was.”

Alton Bell looks toward him.

Alton Bell: “You have already competed tonight.”

John Henry: “I can compete again.”

Alton Bell: “That was not permission.”

The words stop John Henry, though they do not lessen his anger.

Alton Bell turns toward Sandman.

Alton Bell: “And you did not stand upon the ramp without purpose.”

Sandman: “Purpose is merely the name waking men give to what has already begun.”

Alton Bell: “Then it may continue under rules.”

Sandman studies him.

Alton Bell: “Next week.”

The crowd inside the arena reacts immediately.

Alton Bell: “Inside the ring.”

He turns so both men remain within his line of sight.

Alton Bell:John Henry against Sandman.”

The crowd erupts.

Hana Nakamura looks between the two competitors.

Alton Bell: “A third match.”

Alton Bell: “One fall.”

Alton Bell: “No ambiguity.”

Alton Bell: “No observation from the ramp.”

His gaze settles upon Sandman.

Alton Bell: “No dream left without consequence.”

Sandman slowly turns toward John Henry.

Sandman: “The third bell will sound.”

John Henry: “And I will hear the last one.”

Sandman: “Perhaps.”

The blue light begins fading from the corridor.

Sandman steps backward into the darkness.

Sandman: “But before the last bell…”

His outline becomes less distinct.

Sandman: “You must remain awake.”

The final traces of blue sand fall to the floor.

Sandman disappears into the corridor.

The furnace-red light returns completely.

John Henry continues staring into the darkness long after Sandman has gone.

Hana Nakamura turns toward Alton Bell.

Hana Nakamura:Alton Bell, to confirm, the match is official?”

Alton Bell: “It was official the moment both men mistook this corridor for a ring.”

He looks toward John Henry.

Alton Bell: “Next week, the question ends.”

Alton Bell turns and walks away.

Hana Nakamura faces the camera again.

Hana Nakamura: “It is official. Next week on Dark Fable, John Henry faces Sandman for the third time.”

She glances toward John Henry.

Hana Nakamura: “Two previous encounters belong to Sandman.”

John Henry steps closer to the camera.

His exhaustion remains visible.

So does his certainty.

John Henry: “Two belonged to him.”

He raises one battered fist.

John Henry: “The third belongs to the man still standing when the dream ends.”

John Henry strikes the steel rail behind him with the Hammer Drop.

The metal bends beneath the blow.

The sound echoes through the corridor.

The screen cuts to black.

5. MATCH 2

The camera returns to the ring inside Scrooge’s Camelot Coliseum.

The atmosphere remains unsettled after the confrontation between John Henry and Sandman.

The image of the bent steel rail appears briefly upon the stage screen.

Then the metal disappears beneath spreading darkness.

A deep animal roar rolls through the coliseum.

Golden light breaks across the entranceway. The stage screen reveals a vast stone valley beneath a burning sunset. Claw marks tear through the image, one after another, until the face of a lion emerges from the rock.

A second roar shakes the building.

Lion steps onto the stage.

The crowd rises.

His broad frame is covered in gold, bronze, and dark brown wrestling gear marked with the imagery of mane and claw. He stands beneath the light with his shoulders squared and his head raised, carrying himself with the direct confidence of a creature that has never learned to lower its gaze.

Julian Ward: “Moments ago, Sandman agreed to face John Henry for a third time next week. Before that confrontation arrives, however, he must stand across from Lion tonight.”

Brick Brody: “And Lion should be grateful. Sandman spent the last several minutes irritating John Henry instead of preparing for this match.”

Julian Ward: “That confrontation may have sharpened Sandman rather than distracted him. He has already defeated John Henry twice, and his confidence appeared untouched by the challenge placed before him.”

Brick Brody: “Confidence does not protect the ribs when Lion charges. This is a different problem. John Henry tries to overpower you. Lion tries to tear through you.”

Lion starts down the ramp.

He keeps his eyes fixed upon the ring, moving with controlled aggression rather than ceremony. Supporters along the barricade reach toward him, but he does not break stride.

At ringside, Lion climbs onto the apron and steps between the ropes.

He walks to the center of the ring and turns toward the entranceway.

The golden light fades.

The arena becomes dark.

The noise from the crowd softens beneath the sound of wind moving across an empty landscape.

A thin stream of blue sand begins falling across the stage screen.

The stone valley disappears.

A pale moon rises over endless dunes.

A heartbeat begins.

Slow.

Heavy.

Then the heartbeat stops.

Sandman steps through the curtain.

The crowd reacts with immediate hostility.

He stands beneath the cold blue light, dark robes hanging loosely around his frame. Fine sand slips between the fingers of one hand. His expression carries no urgency despite the confrontation that has just taken place backstage.

No anger.

No excitement.

Only certainty.

Julian Ward: “There is no visible change in Sandman. He has tormented John Henry, accepted a match for next week, and now enters as though none of it required effort.”

Brick Brody: “That is because talking does not tire him. Choking men unconscious is where he does his best work.”

Sandman looks toward Lion inside the ring.

Lion responds by stepping closer to the ropes.

The blue sand continues falling.

Sandman begins walking down the ramp.

His movements remain slow and deliberate. He does not acknowledge the hostile crowd or the aggressive posture waiting for him.

Julian Ward:Lion represents force, instinct, and direct confrontation. Those qualities may allow him to overwhelm many opponents before strategy can form.”

Brick Brody: “But Sandman does not need a long strategy. He needs one opening and one throat.”

Sandman reaches ringside.

He pauses beneath the bottom rope and looks up at Lion.

For several seconds, neither competitor moves.

Then Sandman climbs onto the apron and enters.

The arena lights return, though the cold blue glow remains around the ring.

In the center, Louie Linville raises the microphone.

Louie Linville: “Ladies and gentlemen, this contest is scheduled for one fall.”

The crowd responds loudly.

Louie Linville: “The referee assigned to this match is ‘Honest’ Abe.”

‘Honest’ Abe raises one hand and looks between the competitors.

Louie Linville: “Introducing first, the golden predator, the unbroken roar, the sovereign beast of the hunt, Lion!”

The crowd erupts.

Lion steps forward and strikes one fist against his chest.

A low roar answers from the stands.

Louie Linville: “And his opponent, the silence beyond exhaustion, the hand waiting at the edge of consciousness, Sandman!”

Boos fill the coliseum.

Sandman remains still.

A final line of blue sand slips from his fingers and disappears against the canvas.

‘Honest’ Abe gives both men their instructions.

Lion lowers his stance and prepares to charge.

Sandman raises his hands calmly.

The bell rings.

Minute 1

Sandman moves first.

He pivots sharply and swings his leg toward the side of Lion’s head with a Spin Heel Kick.

Lion reads the movement.

He raises both arms, catches the leg against his forearms, and shoves Sandman backward before the strike can land.

Julian Ward:Lion neutralizes the Spin Heel Kick. Sandman attempted to create immediate distance, but the strength and awareness of Lion prevented the impact.”

Brick Brody: “Good. Catch the leg and make the dream walker remember he still needs balance.”

Sandman lands on his feet near the ropes.

Lion charges.

Sandman moves aside before the collision and circles toward the center.

Lion turns quickly and advances again, cutting off the escape without throwing a reckless strike.

Julian Ward: “A disciplined opening from Lion. He does not allow the unusual movement of Sandman to draw him into overcommitting.”

Brick Brody: “That is the mistake most men make. They chase Sandman, miss, and wake up with his arm around their throat.”

Lion steps close and drives one hand against the chest of Sandman, forcing him backward.

Sandman gives ground without visible concern.

Lion presses forward again.

He traps Sandman briefly near the corner, but ‘Honest’ Abe moves between them and calls for a clean break.

Lion steps away immediately.

Sandman remains in the corner.

His head lowers.

His eyes remain fixed upon Lion.

Julian Ward: “The opening minute belongs to Lion. He stopped the first attack and controlled the ring without giving Sandman a clean counter.”

Brick Brody: “Then he needs to use that control. Do not admire it. Hurt him before the Sleeper becomes available.”

Lion moves away from the corner and gestures for Sandman to come forward.

Sandman slowly raises his head.

The faintest smile appears.

Minute 2

Sandman leaves the corner.

Lion steps toward him, looking to close both arms around the body.

Sandman slips beside the approach.

His arm slides beneath the chin of Lion.

His other hand locks behind the head.

The Sleeper closes instantly.

Julian Ward: “The Sleeper is locked in. Sandman found the opening in a single movement.”

Brick Brody: “There it is. One mistake. One exposed neck. Now all that strength has to fight without air.”

Lion reaches backward and grabs at the arms of Sandman.

He drives his body forward, attempting to throw Sandman over one shoulder.

Sandman keeps his weight low and tightens the grip.

Lion staggers toward the ropes.

They remain several steps away.

Julian Ward:Lion is trying to carry Sandman toward the ropes, but the hold is fully secured.”

‘Honest’ Abe moves beside them and asks Lion if he submits.

Lion shakes his head.

He takes another step.

Then another.

Sandman pulls him backward.

The balance of Lion breaks.

Both men fall to the canvas with Sandman still attached to his back.

Brick Brody: “Now he is trapped. Strength works better when the feet are underneath you.”

Sandman hooks one leg around the body of Lion, preventing him from turning.

The Sleeper tightens.

Lion’s hands continue fighting against the grip, but the movement begins to slow.

Julian Ward: “The resistance is fading. Lion absorbed the full pressure once the match reached the mat.”

The arm of Lion drops once.

He lifts it again.

Sandman closes his eyes.

His expression remains peaceful as the body beneath him struggles.

Sandman: “Sleep.”

Lion tries to rise.

His arm falls again.

‘Honest’ Abe asks the question.

For one final moment, Lion refuses.

Then his hand strikes the arm of Sandman.

Once.

Twice.

The bell rings.

The crowd reacts with shock and boos.

Sandman releases the Sleeper immediately.

Lion rolls onto his side, one hand against his throat as he pulls air back into his lungs.

‘Honest’ Abe signals toward Sandman.

Louie Linville: “Here is your winner by submission, Sandman!”

The cold blue light deepens.

Sandman rises slowly.

There is no celebration.

He stands over Lion and studies him as though the result had confirmed something already known.

Lion forces himself onto one knee.

He looks toward Sandman with anger, but his breathing remains uneven.

Sandman kneels in front of him.

The crowd grows louder.

Sandman: “Even the king of beasts must close his eyes.”

Lion lunges forward.

Sandman has already moved away.

He slips beneath the ropes and steps onto the floor before Lion can reach him.

Inside the ring, Lion grips the top rope and watches him retreat.

Sandman stops at the foot of the ramp.

He turns toward the nearest camera.

Sandman: “Twice.”

A faint reaction moves through the building.

The reference is clear.

John Henry.

Sandman: “Soon…”

He lifts one hand.

Blue sand spills between his fingers.

Sandman: “Three.”

Boos rise through the coliseum.

Sandman turns and begins walking up the ramp.

Julian Ward:Sandman has defeated Lion in only two minutes. Lion neutralized the first attack and appeared to control the opening, but control disappeared the moment the Sleeper was secured.”

Brick Brody: “That is what makes Sandman dangerous. Lion did almost everything correctly. He stopped the kick, cut off the ring, and kept his head. Then he stepped too close once, and the match ended.”

Julian Ward: “Next week, John Henry enters his third confrontation with a man who has now demonstrated again that one opening is enough. John Henry has promised there will not be a third defeat. Tonight, Sandman offered his answer without needing more than two minutes.”

RESULT: SANDMAN DEFEATS LION BY SUBMISSION AT THE 2-MINUTE MARK WITH THE SLEEPER.

6. MATCH 3

The camera returns to the ring inside Scrooge’s Camelot Coliseum.

The cold blue light left behind by Sandman fades from the arena. In its place, warm gold begins spilling across the entranceway.

A single strand of golden light descends across the stage screen.

Then another.

Then dozens.

They weave together until they resemble an immense curtain of living hair suspended above the image of a distant tower.

The opening notes of a bright orchestral theme rise through the coliseum, elegant at first, then strengthened by a driving rhythm beneath it.

Rapunzel steps onto the stage.

The crowd responds loudly.

She wears gold, lavender, and white wrestling gear, her long hair secured for competition but still flowing well beyond her shoulders. Her expression carries warmth without softness. She surveys the arena briefly before turning her full attention toward the ring.

Julian Ward:Rapunzel enters tonight with an opportunity to defeat one of the most accomplished warriors in the Mythic Division. She possesses grace, balance, and surprising power, but she will need all three against Athena.”

Brick Brody: “People look at Rapunzel and expect speed and elegance. Then she picks somebody up and drives them through the mat. That is the part Athena needs to respect.”

Rapunzel begins walking down the ramp.

Several supporters near the barricade raise gold ribbons and symbols associated with the Blonde Bombshells. Rapunzel acknowledges them with one lifted hand but does not slow her approach.

She reaches ringside, climbs the steps, and enters through the middle rope.

Rapunzel moves to the center of the ring and turns beneath the golden illumination. She raises one arm toward the crowd, then lowers it as the music fades.

The stage screen darkens.

A deep roll of thunder crosses the building.

White marble columns rise through gathering storm clouds. A golden owl spreads its wings above the temple of Olympus.

A war horn sounds.

A bolt of white-gold light strikes the entranceway.

Zeus steps through the smoke.

He wears white and gold, broad shoulders held high beneath a ceremonial cloak. His expression remains stern and unquestioning, carrying the authority of someone who does not believe defeat should be permitted to linger.

He raises one hand.

The thunder stops.

Athena emerges behind him.

The crowd reaction becomes divided.

She is dressed in bronze, ivory, and dark crimson. Her hair is tightly secured. Her posture is controlled and disciplined, but there is a harder edge in her expression than there was one week ago.

She does not look toward the crowd.

Her eyes are fixed entirely upon Rapunzel.

Julian Ward: “One week ago, Athena pushed Lady Guinevere through one of the most demanding contests of her reign in Camelot. She delivered Wisdom’s Wrath, the Owl Wing Backbreaker, the Huntress Spear, and the Oracle’s Curse. Yet Lady Guinevere endured them all and defeated her with the Alabama Slam.”

Brick Brody: “That loss should bother Athena. She had the queen hurt and could not finish her. A disciplined warrior coming off defeat is dangerous because embarrassment gives discipline teeth.”

Zeus turns toward Athena.

He speaks quietly.

Athena listens without looking away from the ring.

Then she gives one restrained nod.

They begin walking down the ramp.

Julian Ward: “Tonight is not merely another contest for Athena. It is her first answer after being forced to recognize that strength, strategy, and divine guidance were not enough.”

Brick Brody: “Then she better answer loudly. Rapunzel is not here to help rebuild her confidence.”

At ringside, Zeus stops near the corner and looks across the ring toward Rapunzel.

Athena climbs the steps and enters between the ropes.

She moves to the center.

Rapunzel steps forward to meet her.

Neither woman offers a hand.

Neither looks away.

In the center of the ring, Louie Linville raises the microphone.

Louie Linville: “Ladies and gentlemen, this contest is scheduled for one fall.”

The crowd responds loudly.

Louie Linville: “The referee assigned to this match is ‘Honest’ Abe.”

‘Honest’ Abe steps between the competitors and looks briefly toward Zeus, warning him to remain on the floor.

Louie Linville: “Introducing first, the golden strength behind the tower, the radiant blade of the Blonde Bombshells, Rapunzel!”

The crowd cheers.

Rapunzel raises one arm while keeping her eyes upon Athena.

Louie Linville: “And her opponent, accompanied to the ring by Zeus. The shield of wisdom, the huntress of war, Athena!”

The reaction becomes divided.

Athena steps forward and strikes one fist against the center of her chest.

‘Honest’ Abe delivers his final instructions.

Rapunzel lowers her stance.

Athena raises her guard.

The bell rings.

Minute 1

Rapunzel closes the distance immediately.

She catches Athena across the shoulders, rolls forward, and drives her down with a Rolling Fireman’s Carry.

Julian Ward:Rapunzel begins with movement and control, carrying Athena through the roll before driving her onto the canvas.”

Athena uses the momentum to rise quickly.

She lowers her stance and charges.

The Huntress Spear strikes directly through Rapunzel’s midsection and folds her backward onto the mat.

Brick Brody: “That is how Athena answers a throw. Get back up and drive through the ribs.”

Julian Ward: “Both women score immediately. Rapunzel establishes her ability to control the body, but the heavier collision belongs to Athena.”

Athena remains on one knee beside Rapunzel, watching her struggle for breath.

She reaches down to continue the attack.

Rapunzel rolls away before another hold can be secured.

Minute 2

Rapunzel returns to her feet and moves behind Athena.

She pulls the warrior across her shoulders and attempts another Rolling Fireman’s Carry.

Athena widens her base and tries to stop the movement.

Rapunzel shifts her hips, breaks the resistance, and completes the roll.

Athena strikes the mat hard.

Julian Ward: “A second Rolling Fireman’s Carry from Rapunzel. Athena recognized the position but could not prevent the rotation.”

Brick Brody: “That is the problem with knowing what is coming. You still need enough leverage to stop it.”

Rapunzel remains close.

She controls one wrist and pulls Athena away from the corner where Zeus waits.

Julian Ward:Rapunzel is positioning carefully. She is denying Athena the opportunity to reset near Zeus.”

Zeus watches without visible reaction.

Athena rolls toward one knee and begins searching for another opening.

Minute 3

Rapunzel steps forward.

Athena catches her from behind before she can establish another lift.

She drives one knee into the center of Rapunzel’s back and pulls backward beneath the chin.

The Gorgon Clutch is secured.

Julian Ward: “The Gorgon Clutch from Athena. The knee is pressed into the spine while the chin and neck are pulled backward.”

Brick Brody: “That is an ugly hold. It does not need a submission to be useful. It bends the back and makes breathing miserable.”

Rapunzel reaches toward the hands of Athena, trying to break the grip.

Athena keeps the knee planted and leans backward.

‘Honest’ Abe asks Rapunzel if she submits.

Rapunzel refuses.

She twists her shoulders and begins forcing herself sideways.

Julian Ward:Rapunzel absorbs the punishment but continues fighting the position. Athena has begun targeting the same neck and back she attacked against Lady Guinevere.”

Rapunzel eventually turns enough to remove the knee from her spine.

She reaches the ropes.

‘Honest’ Abe calls for the break.

Athena releases at four.

Minute 4

Rapunzel leaves the ropes and catches Athena charging.

She secures the body, turns, and drives the warrior down with a Powerslam.

The ring shakes.

Julian Ward: “A powerful Powerslam from Rapunzel. Athena attempted to close the distance and was driven directly into the canvas.”

Rapunzel rises and reaches down.

Athena catches both arms.

She pulls Rapunzel forward, turns the position, and drives her face-first with Wisdom’s Wrath.

The Pedigree lands with brutal force.

Brick Brody: “Wisdom’s Wrath. That is the same attack that nearly ended Lady Guinevere last week.”

Julian Ward: “An immediate answer from Athena. Rapunzel scored with the Powerslam, but the stronger attack ends the exchange.”

Rapunzel remains face-down.

Athena rises slowly and looks toward Zeus.

He gives one measured nod.

Athena turns back toward her fallen opponent.

Minute 5

Both women begin cautiously.

Rapunzel protects the neck.

Athena waits for the next attempt at a lift.

Neither commits.

The crowd grows louder as they circle.

Julian Ward: “The force of Wisdom’s Wrath has changed the pace. Rapunzel is no longer moving forward without calculation.”

Brick Brody: “She should calculate quickly. Athena is deciding which part of the body to damage next.”

Rapunzel reaches for the waist.

Athena slips aside, catches the momentum, and whips her across one knee with the Owl Wing Backbreaker.

Rapunzel’s body bends sharply across the leg.

Julian Ward: “The Owl Wing Backbreaker from Athena. The back becomes the target again.”

Athena holds Rapunzel across the knee for an additional moment before allowing her to fall.

Brick Brody: “That is not just impact. Athena kept her there and made the spine carry the punishment.”

Rapunzel rolls toward the ropes, one arm pressed against her lower back.

Athena follows at a measured pace, refusing to rush into another counter.

Minute 6

Rapunzel catches Athena advancing and pulls her across the shoulders.

She rolls forward with another Rolling Fireman’s Carry.

Athena crashes onto her back.

Julian Ward:Rapunzel returns to the Rolling Fireman’s Carry. That movement has remained reliable throughout the contest.”

As Rapunzel rises, Athena drives an Aegis Strike upward between the legs.

The referee’s view is blocked by their bodies.

Rapunzel folds forward and falls to one knee.

The crowd erupts into boos.

Brick Brody: “That was low.”

Julian Ward: “The Aegis Strike lands below the permitted target, and ‘Honest’ Abe did not see it clearly.”

Zeus remains motionless at ringside.

Athena rises behind Rapunzel, her expression unchanged.

Brick Brody: “Do not waste outrage on it. Athena found a weapon, hid it from the referee, and used it.”

Julian Ward: “The Rolling Fireman’s Carry caused damage, but the illegal strike prevented Rapunzel from following.”

‘Honest’ Abe asks what happened.

Athena gestures toward the abdomen as though the strike landed legally.

Rapunzel forces herself upright without appealing to the official.

Minute 7

Rapunzel catches Athena and completes another Rolling Fireman’s Carry.

The warrior strikes the canvas and rolls toward one knee.

Julian Ward: “Again, Rapunzel forces the rotation and drives Athena down.”

Athena rises through the momentum.

She catches Rapunzel from behind, hooks the head and neck, and drives her backward with the Oracle’s Curse.

The Sleeper Slam sends Rapunzel crashing onto the mat.

Brick Brody: “Oracle’s Curse. Rapunzel’s head and neck take another severe landing.”

Athena hooks the leg.

‘Honest’ Abe drops into position.

“One!”

“Two!”

Rapunzel lifts one shoulder.

The crowd erupts.

Julian Ward:Rapunzel survives at two.”

Athena releases the cover and sits beside her opponent.

There is no argument with the referee.

Only controlled frustration.

Brick Brody: “That cover cost Athena momentum. She believed the Sleeper Slam had finished it. Rapunzel told her otherwise.”

Julian Ward: “The near fall belongs to Athena, but the continued resistance of Rapunzel now becomes another problem she must solve.”

Minute 8

Athena reaches down to pull Rapunzel upright.

Rapunzel turns into the grip.

She catches Athena across her shoulders and bends backward, trapping her in a Bridging Back Rack.

The crowd rises.

Julian Ward: “The Bridging Back Rack is secured. Rapunzel is testing the spine and shoulders of Athena.”

Athena attempts to shift her weight and slide free.

Rapunzel maintains the bridge and increases the pressure.

‘Honest’ Abe asks if Athena submits.

She refuses.

Brick Brody: “That is an excellent answer to the Backbreaker. Athena wanted to damage the spine. Now she is being bent across the shoulders of Rapunzel.”

Zeus steps closer to the ring and calls toward Athena.

She drives one knee forward and twists enough to fall free.

Both women collapse to the mat.

Julian Ward:Athena escapes, but she absorbed the full punishment before finding the release.”

Minute 9

Both women rise cautiously.

Rapunzel protects her neck and lower back.

Athena rolls one shoulder after the Back Rack.

Neither attacks immediately.

Julian Ward: “The damage is beginning to shape every movement. Each woman understands where the other has become vulnerable.”

The stillness breaks.

Rapunzel lifts Athena into another Bridging Back Rack.

At the same moment, Athena twists through the rise and catches Rapunzel with another Owl Wing Backbreaker.

Both women fall from the collision.

Brick Brody: “That was back against back. One woman tried to stretch the spine. The other folded hers across the knee.”

Julian Ward: “Both attacks score. Rapunzel secures the Back Rack briefly, while Athena completes the Backbreaker during the escape.”

Athena lies on one side of the ring.

Rapunzel remains near the center, one hand pressed against her lower back.

‘Honest’ Abe begins a standing count.

“One!”

“Two!”

“Three!”

Both women turn toward their knees.

Julian Ward: “Neither gains a clean advantage, but the contest has become increasingly centered upon structural damage.”

Minute 10

Athena reaches her feet first and charges.

Rapunzel catches her momentum.

She lifts Athena high into the air and drives her down with a Pop-Up Samoan Drop.

The ring shakes.

Julian Ward: “The Pop-Up Samoan Drop from Rapunzel. Athena attempted to defend but could not adjust once she was elevated.”

Brick Brody: “That was sudden. Athena expected another rolling attack and got thrown out of the air instead.”

Rapunzel rolls onto one knee and pulls Athena away from the ropes.

Julian Ward:Rapunzel has created her strongest sustained period of the match. The Back Rack weakened Athena, and now the Samoan Drop has left her vulnerable.”

Zeus calls toward the ring.

Athena reaches toward him but remains several feet from the corner.

Rapunzel closes the distance before she can recover.

Minute 11

Rapunzel catches Athena between her legs.

She lifts her high and drives her down with a Sitout Powerbomb.

The impact echoes through the coliseum.

Julian Ward: “A tremendous Sitout Powerbomb from Rapunzel.”

She maintains the position for the cover.

‘Honest’ Abe drops toward the mat.

Before he can begin the count, Athena shifts her weight and rolls Rapunzel backward.

The pin is reversed.

Julian Ward:Athena reverses the cover.”

‘Honest’ Abe counts.

“One!”

“Two!”

Rapunzel kicks out.

Both women roll apart.

Brick Brody: “That nearly stole the match. Rapunzel landed the Powerbomb and almost pinned herself.”

Julian Ward: “Outstanding awareness from Athena. She absorbed the full impact but recognized that Rapunzel’s seated position could be turned against her.”

Rapunzel rises first, visibly frustrated.

Athena pulls herself upright using the ropes.

Zeus calls for patience.

Minute 12

Rapunzel does not allow Athena to reset.

She catches the head and arm, turns sharply, and drives Athena face-first with a Flatliner.

Julian Ward: “The Flatliner connects. Athena absorbs the full landing.”

Rapunzel immediately turns her over and hooks the leg.

‘Honest’ Abe drops into position.

“One!”

“Two!”

Athena lifts one shoulder.

The crowd reacts loudly.

Brick Brody: “That was close, but the cover gave Athena time to breathe.”

Julian Ward:Rapunzel produced another powerful attack but could not keep Athena down. The failed cover has interrupted the momentum she had constructed.”

Rapunzel sits beside Athena, breathing heavily.

At ringside, Zeus strikes the apron once with an open palm.

Athena turns toward the sound.

Her eyes sharpen.

Rapunzel pulls her toward the center before she can reach the ropes.

Minute 13

Both women rise near the center of the ring.

Rapunzel moves behind Athena and wraps one arm beneath the chin.

She secures the opposite arm and begins locking in the Cobra Clutch.

Julian Ward:Rapunzel is attempting the Cobra Clutch.”

Athena twists her body before the hold can settle completely.

She moves behind Rapunzel, drives one knee into the damaged back, and applies the Gorgon Clutch.

Brick Brody: “Both women are reaching for control of the neck and spine.”

Rapunzel absorbs the pressure.

Her knees begin to bend.

Athena pulls backward beneath the chin.

‘Honest’ Abe asks if Rapunzel submits.

She refuses.

Julian Ward: “The Gorgon Clutch is secured again, and the back of Rapunzel has already endured repeated punishment.”

Rapunzel reaches upward.

Instead of pulling at the hands, she catches the wrist of Athena and turns beneath the grip.

The knee slips from her back.

Rapunzel rotates behind Athena.

She traps one arm.

Then the other.

The Cobra Clutch closes fully.

The crowd rises.

Julian Ward:Rapunzel has reversed the position. The Cobra Clutch is locked in.”

Athena attempts to widen her stance.

Rapunzel pulls her backward and tightens the hold.

Brick Brody: “Now Athena is trapped in the center. No ropes. No room to turn.”

Zeus steps toward the apron.

‘Honest’ Abe immediately turns his head and warns him to remain on the floor.

Athena tries to power her way forward.

Rapunzel lowers her weight and keeps the arms trapped.

Julian Ward: “The shoulders are contained. The neck is compressed. Athena cannot use the strength that carried her through the earlier submissions.”

Zeus: “Endure!”

Athena takes one step.

Her balance begins to fail.

Rapunzel pulls the hold deeper.

‘Honest’ Abe asks the question again.

Athena refuses.

She attempts one final turn.

The trapped arms prevent it.

Her hand strikes the arm of Rapunzel.

Once.

Then again.

The bell rings.

The crowd erupts.

Rapunzel immediately releases the Cobra Clutch.

Athena falls forward onto both hands, breathing heavily.

‘Honest’ Abe signals toward Rapunzel.

Louie Linville: “Here is your winner by submission, Rapunzel!”

The golden light returns.

Rapunzel rises slowly and allows ‘Honest’ Abe to raise her arm.

She presses her free hand against her lower back, the damage from the contest still visible, but the crowd continues cheering.

At ringside, Zeus climbs onto the apron.

He enters and kneels beside Athena.

She pushes herself upright before he can assist her fully.

Her expression carries frustration deeper than anger.

Two consecutive defeats.

First to Lady Guinevere.

Now to Rapunzel.

Athena looks toward Rapunzel.

The winner remains several feet away, breathing heavily but refusing to lower her gaze.

For a moment, it appears Athena may approach.

Zeus rises beside her and places one hand upon her shoulder.

Athena stops.

No acknowledgment passes between the women.

Zeus leads Athena toward the ropes.

Before leaving, Athena looks back once toward Rapunzel.

Not with respect.

With calculation.

Julian Ward:Rapunzel has defeated Athena through submission after thirteen minutes of sustained punishment. She endured Wisdom’s Wrath, the Owl Wing Backbreaker, the Oracle’s Curse, the Huntress Spear, and the illegal Aegis Strike.”

Brick Brody: “And she kept lifting Athena. Rolling carries, Back Racks, the Samoan Drop, the Powerbomb, the Flatliner. Every time Athena tried to slow her down, Rapunzel found another way to put her on the mat.”

Julian Ward: “The decisive moment came when both women reached for control of the neck and back. Athena secured the Gorgon Clutch, but Rapunzel reversed the position, locked in the Cobra Clutch, and left the warrior of Olympus without escape.”

Brick Brody: “That is two losses in two weeks for Athena. She can blame the queen, the tower, or the referee’s angle all she wants. At some point, a warrior has to admit the finish belongs to her.”

Julian Ward: “Tonight belongs to Rapunzel. The grace remained, but it was strength, endurance, and adjustment that delivered the victory.”

RESULT: RAPUNZEL DEFEATS ATHENA BY SUBMISSION AT THE 13-MINUTE MARK WITH THE COBRA CLUTCH.

7. SUSPICIONS

The camera cuts backstage inside Scrooge’s Camelot Coliseum.

The interview area is quieter than the corridor used earlier in the evening.

Dark wooden panels line the walls. A black curtain hangs behind the interview position beneath the red-and-gold crest of the Eternal Flame Championship. The distant noise of the crowd reaches the room as a low vibration through the stone.

Hana Nakamura stands in the center of the frame with a microphone in hand.

Beside her stands Taro Okami.

His posture is straight and composed. His wrists are taped, though he is not scheduled to compete tonight. He wears a dark training jacket over his ring gear, and his equipment bag rests closed upon a bench several feet behind him.

There is no mask beside it.

The crowd inside the arena reacts strongly when Taro Okami appears on the stage screen.

Hana Nakamura: “Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, Taro Okami.”

Taro Okami gives one restrained nod.

Hana Nakamura:Taro Okami, one week ago, you competed for the first time as the partner of the Eternal Flame Champion, Raigen. Together, you defeated Kaen and Enrai of Kaminari Hono by count-out.”

Footage appears briefly on the stage screen.

Taro Okami catches Kaen with a Judo Throw.

Raigen forces Kaen through the ropes and onto the floor.

The count reaches ten.

Inside the ring, Raigen and Taro Okami stand together while Lord Kurogami gathers Kaen and Enrai at ringside.

The camera returns backstage.

Hana Nakamura: “Before that match, you said that you and Raigen would not pretend to possess years of experience together. You said you would isolate, interrupt, and destroy the rhythm that makes Kaminari Hono dangerous.”

Taro Okami: “That was the intention.”

Hana Nakamura: “Do you believe you succeeded?”

Taro Okami takes a moment before answering.

Taro Okami: “For one night.”

Hana Nakamura: “Only one night?”

Taro Okami: “A single victory does not destroy a team.”

His voice remains calm.

Direct.

Taro Okami:Kaen and Enrai have fought beside one another for too long to be divided by one count-out.”

Taro Okami: “They lost control of the match.”

Taro Okami: “They did not lose themselves.”

Hana Nakamura: “But you and Raigen did establish something.”

Taro Okami: “We established that their experience does not make them untouchable.”

He looks directly toward the camera.

Taro Okami:Kaminari Hono expected us to fight as two men sharing a corner.”

Taro Okami: “We fought as two men sharing an enemy.”

Hana Nakamura: “Is that enough to create trust?”

A brief silence follows.

Taro Okami: “Trust is not created by one match.”

Hana Nakamura: “That is something Raigen said last week.”

Taro Okami: “He was correct.”

Hana Nakamura: “He also said that you gave him a reason to begin trusting you.”

Taro Okami nods once.

Taro Okami: “A beginning is not a conclusion.”

The answer settles over the interview area.

Hana Nakamura glances toward the equipment bag on the bench.

Taro Okami notices.

His expression does not change, but his attention shifts slightly.

Hana Nakamura: “That brings us to what happened after the two of you left for the match.”

The crowd inside the arena grows quieter.

Hana Nakamura: “When the interview ended, your equipment bag was partially open.”

Taro Okami: “I remember.”

Hana Nakamura: “After you and Raigen left the room, I found something on the floor beside it.”

The stage screen shows footage from one week ago.

Hana Nakamura crouches beside the bench.

She lifts a plain black wrestling mask from the floor.

The narrow eye openings fill the screen.

The footage ends.

Backstage, Hana Nakamura reaches beneath the interview table.

She lifts a clear evidence bag.

Inside it rests the black mask.

The crowd reacts loudly.

Taro Okami looks at it.

For the first time, visible tension enters his posture.

Not fear.

Recognition of the accusation.

Hana Nakamura: “This mask.”

She holds the evidence bag between them.

Hana Nakamura: “It was lying beside your equipment.”

Taro Okami: “Yes.”

Hana Nakamura: “Is it yours?”

Taro Okami: “No.”

The answer comes immediately.

Hana Nakamura: “You are certain?”

Taro Okami: “I do not require certainty to identify what belongs to me.”

Hana Nakamura: “Then you are saying that you have never worn this mask.”

Taro Okami: “I have never worn it.”

Hana Nakamura: “You have never carried it?”

Taro Okami: “No.”

Hana Nakamura: “And you did not place it inside your bag?”

Taro Okami: “No.”

Hana Nakamura lowers the mask slightly.

Hana Nakamura: “Then how did it get there?”

Taro Okami: “Someone placed it there.”

Hana Nakamura: “Who?”

Taro Okami looks toward the dark curtain behind the interview position.

Taro Okami: “The answer is contained within the purpose.”

Hana Nakamura: “What purpose?”

Taro Okami: “Division.”

His gaze returns to the mask.

Taro Okami: “One week earlier, Enrai concealed himself behind a black mask.”

Taro Okami: “He used it to approach Raigen without recognition.”

Taro Okami: “He used it to turn an attack into an ambush.”

Taro Okami: “Then I entered the ring and stopped him.”

Hana Nakamura: “And one week later, another black mask appears beside your equipment.”

Taro Okami: “Not another.”

Hana Nakamura: “You believe this is the same mask?”

Taro Okami: “I believe whoever placed it there wanted us to ask that question.”

The crowd reacts.

Hana Nakamura: “You believe Enrai planted it?”

Taro Okami: “I did not say Enrai.”

Hana Nakamura: “Then who?”

Taro Okami: “The Blood Oni Syndicate does not act through a single hand.”

He turns fully toward the camera.

Taro Okami:Kaen brings anger.”

Taro Okami:Enrai brings precision.”

Taro Okami:Yurei Rinn brings silence.”

His eyes narrow.

Taro Okami: “And Lord Kurogami brings the design which gives all three purpose.”

Hana Nakamura: “You believe Lord Kurogami ordered someone to place the mask beside your bag.”

Taro Okami: “Yes.”

Hana Nakamura: “Why you?”

Taro Okami: “Because Raigen and I defeated his men.”

Hana Nakamura: “That seems like a complicated response to one loss.”

Taro Okami: “The loss is not what concerned him.”

Hana Nakamura: “What did?”

Taro Okami: “The possibility that we may stand together again.”

The arena responds loudly.

Taro Okami:Lord Kurogami understands control.”

Taro Okami: “He understands that an alliance is easier to prevent than to defeat.”

Taro Okami: “If he attacks Raigen, I may come to his defense.”

Taro Okami: “If he attacks me, Raigen may return the choice.”

He looks toward the mask.

Taro Okami: “But if he creates doubt between us, he does not need to defeat either man.”

Hana Nakamura: “He allows suspicion to do the work.”

Taro Okami: “Suspicion is a patient weapon.”

A voice enters from beyond the camera.

Raigen: “Only when it is given time.”

The crowd erupts.

Hana Nakamura turns.

Raigen steps into the interview area.

The Eternal Flame Championship rests across his shoulder. He is dressed for competition, his red-and-gold entrance coat open around the title. His match against Masa Tanenaga still waits later tonight, but his attention is not upon the championship.

It is fixed upon Taro Okami.

Taro Okami turns to face him.

Neither man speaks immediately.

Hana Nakamura:Raigen, we were discussing the mask found beside the equipment bag of Taro Okami last week.”

Raigen: “I heard.”

He steps closer.

His eyes move toward the evidence bag in the hand of Hana Nakamura.

Then back toward Taro Okami.

Raigen: “You say it is not yours.”

Taro Okami: “It is not.”

Raigen: “You say it was planted.”

Taro Okami: “Yes.”

Raigen: “By Lord Kurogami.”

Taro Okami: “By the Blood Oni Syndicate, acting beneath his direction.”

Raigen studies him.

The room becomes still.

Raigen: “Do you know this?”

Taro Okami: “I understand the intention.”

Raigen: “That is not what I asked.”

Taro Okami does not look away.

Taro Okami: “No.”

A faint murmur moves through the arena.

Taro Okami: “I did not see who placed it there.”

Taro Okami: “I did not see when the bag was opened.”

Taro Okami: “I cannot name the hand.”

Raigen: “Then you do not know.”

Taro Okami: “I know the mask is not mine.”

Raigen: “That leaves many possibilities.”

Taro Okami: “Only one purpose.”

Raigen: “Purpose does not prove the hand.”

Taro Okami: “No.”

The answer comes without resistance.

Taro Okami: “It reveals who benefits.”

Raigen takes another step forward.

The championship remains upon his shoulder, but his hand closes around the lower edge of the title.

Raigen: “Last week, you entered a fight which did not belong to you.”

Taro Okami: “It became mine when I entered.”

Raigen: “You stood beside me without promise.”

Taro Okami: “Yes.”

Raigen: “Then we fought together.”

Taro Okami: “Yes.”

Raigen: “And after we won, a mask appeared beside your bag.”

Taro Okami: “Yes.”

Raigen: “The same kind of mask used by Enrai to strike me from behind.”

Taro Okami: “Yes.”

Raigen: “You understand what that looks like.”

Taro Okami: “I understand exactly what it was made to look like.”

The words settle between them.

Hana Nakamura remains close, but she does not interrupt.

Raigen: “Then answer without interpretation.”

His voice lowers.

Raigen: “Without speaking of Lord Kurogami.”

Raigen: “Without speaking of purpose.”

Raigen: “Without speaking of shadows.”

He looks directly into the eyes of Taro Okami.

Raigen: “Can you be trusted?”

The crowd reacts loudly.

Taro Okami remains still.

He does not look toward Hana Nakamura.

He does not look toward the mask.

His eyes stay upon Raigen.

Taro Okami: “Yes.”

A silence follows.

Raigen: “Why?”

Taro Okami: “Because I had the opportunity to betray you before trust was offered.”

Raigen’s expression tightens slightly.

Taro Okami: “When Kaen and Enrai attacked you, I could have remained behind the curtain.”

Taro Okami: “When we entered the ring together, I could have allowed Kaminari Hono to isolate you.”

Taro Okami: “When Kaen fell to the floor, I could have turned my attention away and left you surrounded.”

His voice remains controlled.

Taro Okami: “I did none of those things.”

Raigen: “A patient betrayal waits until trust has value.”

Taro Okami: “Then suspicion has already spoken louder than my actions.”

Raigen says nothing.

Taro Okami: “You asked whether I can be trusted.”

He steps closer.

Taro Okami: “I will not ask you to ignore the mask.”

Taro Okami: “I will not ask you to forget what Enrai did.”

Taro Okami: “I will not ask you to accept my word because we shared one victory.”

His gaze sharpens.

Taro Okami: “I ask you to judge what I have done.”

Raigen: “And if the mask is yours?”

Taro Okami: “Then everything I have said collapses beneath it.”

Raigen: “That is a dangerous certainty.”

Taro Okami: “Truth does not become safer because doubt surrounds it.”

Another long silence passes.

Raigen looks toward the mask again.

Hana Nakamura lifts the evidence bag slightly, allowing both men to see it clearly.

Raigen:Lord Kurogami would benefit from division.”

Taro Okami: “Yes.”

Raigen:Kaen would welcome it.”

Taro Okami: “Yes.”

Raigen: “And Enrai knows the power of a hidden face.”

Taro Okami: “Yes.”

Raigen: “That makes your explanation possible.”

Taro Okami: “It makes it true.”

Raigen: “Those are not the same.”

Taro Okami accepts the correction with a slight nod.

Taro Okami: “No.”

Raigen turns away briefly.

The Eternal Flame Championship catches the red light behind him.

When he turns back, the skepticism remains.

So does the choice.

Raigen: “I will take your word.”

The crowd reacts.

Taro Okami gives no visible sigh of relief.

Raigen: “For now.”

Taro Okami: “That is all the truth requires.”

Raigen: “No.”

His voice hardens.

Raigen: “Truth requires nothing.”

Raigen: “Trust requires proof.”

Taro Okami: “Then I will provide it.”

Raigen: “Do not provide it through words.”

Taro Okami: “I did not intend to.”

The two men hold one another’s gaze.

There is no handshake.

No embrace.

Only an understanding built beneath continued doubt.

Hana Nakamura:Raigen, later tonight you defend the Eternal Flame Championship against Masa Tanenaga in a two-out-of-three falls match. Does this situation affect your preparation?”

Raigen looks toward her.

Raigen: “It already has.”

Hana Nakamura: “In what way?”

Raigen: “A champion must see the opponent before him.”

He glances toward Taro Okami.

Raigen: “And the hand behind him.”

Hana Nakamura: “Do you expect the Blood Oni Syndicate to become involved tonight?”

Raigen: “Expectation is not required.”

His hand tightens around the championship.

Raigen: “Preparation is.”

Hana Nakamura: “Will Taro Okami be accompanying you?”

The question brings another silence.

Taro Okami turns toward Raigen, but does not answer for him.

Raigen: “No.”

A low reaction moves through the arena.

Hana Nakamura: “Because you do not trust him?”

Raigen: “Because this is my defense.”

He looks toward Taro Okami.

Raigen: “And because trust tested beneath suspicion should not be confused with dependence.”

Taro Okami: “I did not ask to stand in your corner.”

Raigen: “I know.”

Taro Okami: “But if the Blood Oni Syndicate moves?”

Raigen: “Then I will see who moves against it.”

The meaning is clear.

Another test.

Another opportunity.

Taro Okami gives one restrained nod.

Taro Okami: “You will.”

Raigen turns to leave.

He takes two steps before stopping.

Without looking back, he speaks.

Raigen:Taro Okami.”

Taro Okami: “Yes.”

Raigen: “If the mask was planted, the hand that placed it believes we are easier to divide than to defeat.”

Taro Okami: “Then the hand has made an error.”

Raigen looks back over his shoulder.

Raigen: “We will see.”

He leaves the interview area.

The distant crowd continues reacting as his footsteps fade down the corridor.

Hana Nakamura turns toward Taro Okami.

Hana Nakamura:Raigen says he will take your word, but the suspicion remains.”

Taro Okami: “It should.”

Hana Nakamura: “That does not concern you?”

Taro Okami: “Trust given without examination is not trust.”

He looks toward the mask in the evidence bag.

Taro Okami: “It is vulnerability.”

Hana Nakamura: “Then how do you prove the truth?”

Taro Okami: “I wait for the shadow to move again.”

Hana Nakamura: “And when it does?”

The expression of Taro Okami hardens.

Taro Okami: “I take the hand.”

He turns toward his equipment bag.

Hana Nakamura looks down at the black mask.

For a moment, the camera moves closer.

The fabric appears plain.

The stitching worn.

Then something catches the light near the inside edge.

A faint red thread.

Almost invisible.

Hana Nakamura notices it.

Her brow tightens.

Hana Nakamura: “Wait.”

Taro Okami stops.

Hana Nakamura turns the evidence bag over carefully.

The red thread disappears beneath the fold of black fabric.

When she finds the angle again, it is gone.

Taro Okami: “What is it?”

Hana Nakamura studies the mask.

Hana Nakamura: “I am not sure.”

The camera pushes closer to the narrow eye openings.

Taro Okami stands behind her, watching.

Neither speaks.

The screen cuts to black.

8. MATCH 4

The camera returns to the ring inside Scrooge’s Camelot Coliseum.

The red-and-gold light of the Eternal Flame interview area disappears from the stage screen.

In its place, darkness spreads through the building.

A low hiss moves beneath the crowd noise.

Stone pillars rise across the screen, cracked and overgrown beneath a moonless sky. Carved figures of ancient creatures cover their surfaces. Serpents. Gorgons. Beasts remembered through warning rather than worship.

One by one, the stone eyes open.

Green light fills them.

A ceremonial rattle sounds.

Serpenta Veyne steps onto the stage.

She wears dark green and black, her presence elegant but severe. Her movements are deliberate, and her expression carries the quiet satisfaction of someone leading dangerous creatures from captivity.

Behind her comes Hydra Veyne.

She moves with predatory confidence, her gear marked by interlocking serpentine patterns. Her eyes travel across the arena before settling upon the ring.

Then Medussa Nemesis emerges.

The crowd responds with loud hostility.

She stands broader and heavier than her partner, her dark gear edged in bronze and stone gray. She carries herself without urgency, as though every opponent has already made the mistake of meeting her gaze.

Together, the three women stand beneath the ancient carvings.

Julian Ward: “The Monsters of Myth enter beneath the guidance of Serpenta Veyne. Hydra Veyne brings speed, precision, and unpredictability. Medussa Nemesis brings direct power and the ability to turn a single opening into ruin.”

Brick Brody: “And both of them understand what they are. They are not asking the crowd to accept them. They are here to prove that every old warning about monsters was written for a reason.”

Serpenta Veyne leads the descent.

Hydra Veyne and Medussa Nemesis follow several steps behind her, moving on opposite sides of the ramp.

At ringside, Serpenta Veyne stops near the corner post.

Hydra Veyne slides beneath the bottom rope.

Medussa Nemesis enters through the middle rope and takes her place beside her partner.

The two women stand in the center of the ring as the ancient stone imagery burns away.

The arena falls silent.

A single bell rings.

Not the ring bell.

Something smaller.

Clearer.

A storybook chime.

Snow begins falling across the stage screen.

A dark forest appears beneath it.

White branches twist together over a narrow path. Red apples hang from the trees, but each one bears a black mark through its center.

A silver blade cuts through the image.

The poisoned apples fall.

The crowd begins to rise.

Snow White steps onto the stage.

She wears white, deep blue, crimson, and silver wrestling gear shaped by royal imagery but hardened for combat. Her posture is composed and regal, yet a short hunting blade rests symbolically across the crest displayed behind her.

She does not enter as a princess waiting to be rescued.

She enters as someone who survived the story written for her.

A second figure appears through the forest.

Gretel steps beside her.

The crowd responds strongly.

Her gear is darker and more practical, marked by leather brown, forest green, and iron gray. Small symbols of broken cages, extinguished ovens, and crossed hunting blades cover the stage screen behind her.

Snow White and Gretel stand together for the first time.

The name appears between them.

THE FAIREST HUNTERS

Julian Ward: “This is the official debut of the Fairest Hunters. Two women whose legends began with predators mistaking them for prey.”

Brick Brody: “I like the idea. Snow White survived poison, deception, and a queen who wanted her dead. Gretel walked into a witch’s house and made sure the witch did not walk out. Those are useful qualifications for monster hunting.”

Julian Ward: “Tonight, survival becomes pursuit. Snow White and Gretel have chosen to stand together against the creatures and corrupted figures who weaponize fear throughout the Mythic Division.”

Brick Brody: “Choosing to hunt monsters is easy. Standing in the ring after the monsters turn around is the difficult part.”

Snow White looks toward Gretel.

The two women exchange one nod.

Then they begin walking down the ramp together.

Neither seeks the approval of the crowd. Their attention remains on the Monsters of Myth waiting inside the ring.

At ringside, Snow White climbs onto the apron first.

Gretel slides beneath the bottom rope and rises quickly.

Hydra Veyne steps toward her.

Gretel does not retreat.

Snow White enters beside her, and the two teams stand several feet apart.

Serpenta Veyne watches from the floor with a thin smile.

In the center of the ring, Louie Linville raises the microphone.

Louie Linville: “Ladies and gentlemen, this tag team contest is scheduled for one fall.”

The crowd responds loudly.

Louie Linville: “The referee assigned to this match is ‘Honest’ Abe.”

‘Honest’ Abe steps between the teams and directs Serpenta Veyne away from the apron.

Louie Linville: “Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by Serpenta Veyne. The many-headed serpent, Hydra Veyne, and the stone-hearted gorgon, Medussa Nemesis. Together, they are the Monsters of Myth!”

Boos spread through the coliseum.

Hydra Veyne extends both arms.

Medussa Nemesis remains motionless beside her.

Louie Linville: “And their opponents, making their official tag team debut. The queen who survived the poisoned crown, Snow White, and the hunter who escaped the devouring dark, Gretel. Together, they are the Fairest Hunters!”

The crowd erupts.

Snow White raises one arm.

Gretel keeps her eyes fixed upon the opposing corner.

‘Honest’ Abe gives both teams their final instructions.

Medussa Nemesis steps onto the apron.

Snow White moves to the corner of the Fairest Hunters.

Hydra Veyne remains in the ring.

Gretel begins for the debuting team.

The bell rings.

Minute 1

Hydra Veyne moves forward cautiously.

Gretel catches her immediately and throws her backward with a Half Nelson Suplex.

Julian Ward: “A decisive beginning from Gretel. The Half Nelson Suplex drives Hydra Veyne down before the Monsters of Myth can establish their pace.”

Snow White reaches over the ropes.

Gretel makes the tag but remains inside.

The debuting team moves together.

Gretel pulls Hydra Veyne upright and controls both arms.

Snow White turns her across the shoulders and drives her down with Witch’s Justice, the Modified Gory Bomb.

The ring shakes.

Brick Brody: “That is how you debut a team. One woman traps the serpent. The other drops her on her face and chest.”

Julian Ward: “Immediate coordination from the Fairest Hunters. Hydra Veyne absorbs both attacks without producing an answer.”

Snow White pulls Hydra Veyne away from Medussa Nemesis.

Gretel remains close as ‘Honest’ Abe begins ordering her toward the apron.

Minute 2

Before Gretel leaves, the Fairest Hunters continue their attack.

Gretel charges and drives a Shining Wizard against the side of Hydra Veyne’s head.

Hydra Veyne falls into the grip of Snow White.

A second Witch’s Justice drives her down.

Julian Ward: “Shining Wizard into another Witch’s Justice. The debuting team has constructed its opening around isolation and rapid impact.”

Hydra Veyne refuses to remain beneath them.

She catches Gretel’s arm during the confusion and twists her down into an Arm-Trap Crossface.

Brick Brody: “There is the serpent’s answer. Trap the arm and pull the head away from the body.”

Gretel reaches toward the ropes.

Snow White drives a forearm across Hydra Veyne’s shoulders, forcing the release before ‘Honest’ Abe restores order.

Julian Ward: “The Fairest Hunters control most of the exchange, but Hydra Veyne creates damage even while overwhelmed.”

‘Honest’ Abe forces Snow White back to the apron and confirms Gretel as the legal competitor.

Minute 3

Hydra Veyne catches Gretel advancing and hooks both arms.

She lifts and throws her with a Double Underhook Suplex.

Julian Ward: “The Double Underhook Suplex gives Hydra Veyne her first clean control of the match.”

Gretel rolls through the landing and rises.

She charges before Hydra Veyne can reach her corner.

The Shining Wizard strikes across the jaw.

Both women fall.

Brick Brody: “That was a rough trade. Hydra Veyne threw her. Gretel kicked her in the face before the throw could matter.”

Julian Ward: “Neither woman sustains control. Gretel is keeping the pace high to prevent Hydra Veyne from reaching Medussa Nemesis.”

On the apron, Snow White extends her hand.

Across the ring, Medussa Nemesis does the same.

Neither legal competitor reaches the corner.

Minute 4

Hydra Veyne suddenly calls Medussa Nemesis into the ring.

Snow White enters immediately to prevent the double-team.

All four women collide near the center.

Julian Ward: “All four competitors are inside, and the debut of the Fairest Hunters has already broken into open conflict.”

Hydra Veyne leaps and drives both boots down across Gretel with a Standing Double Stomp.

Medussa Nemesis crushes Snow White beneath a Big Splash.

Brick Brody: “That is the weight of the monsters. One stamps down. The other falls on you like a wall.”

Gretel rises and catches Hydra Veyne with a Spinning Heel Kick.

On the opposite side, Snow White catches Medussa Nemesis, turns her into position, and drives her down with Witch’s Justice.

The crowd erupts.

Julian Ward: “The Fairest Hunters answer immediately. Spinning Heel Kick from Gretel, and Witch’s Justice brings down Medussa Nemesis.”

‘Honest’ Abe forces Snow White and Medussa Nemesis toward their corners.

Hydra Veyne and Gretel remain legal.

Minute 5

Hydra Veyne attacks before the ring is fully cleared.

She jumps and drives another Standing Double Stomp into the torso of Gretel.

Gretel folds beneath the impact.

Julian Ward: “Another Double Stomp from Hydra Veyne, directed into the ribs and abdomen.”

Gretel rolls toward one knee as Hydra Veyne closes.

She throws an Enzuigiri over her shoulder.

The heel catches Hydra Veyne against the head.

Brick Brody: “Every time Hydra Veyne thinks she has control, Gretel finds a boot.”

Julian Ward: “The greater impact belongs narrowly to Hydra Veyne, but the Enzuigiri again prevents her from sustaining momentum.”

Both women turn toward their corners.

Neither reaches them.

Minute 6

Hydra Veyne catches Gretel and throws her with another Double Underhook Suplex.

Gretel rolls through the landing and rises behind her.

She lifts Hydra Veyne across her shoulders.

Julian Ward:Gretel has her elevated.”

Gretel flips backward and drives the knee into the falling head with the K-360.

The crowd erupts.

Brick Brody: “That is a vicious combination. Throw the body backward and bring the knee up to meet the face.”

Hydra Veyne collapses near her corner.

She reaches upward.

Medussa Nemesis tags in.

Julian Ward: “The K-360 forces the first change for the Monsters of Myth. Now Medussa Nemesis enters against a Gretel who has already carried the majority of the match.”

Minute 7

Medussa Nemesis steps through the ropes but keeps Hydra Veyne inside.

The Monsters of Myth surround Gretel.

Hydra Veyne launches her backward with a Release German Suplex.

Before Gretel can recover, Medussa Nemesis catches both legs and turns her into the Sharpshooter.

Julian Ward: “Release German Suplex into the Sharpshooter. The Monsters of Myth have changed the match through coordinated punishment.”

Brick Brody: “This is where the debut becomes real. Gretel spent six minutes chasing monsters. Now both monsters have her trapped.”

Medussa Nemesis sits deeply into the hold.

Hydra Veyne stands between Gretel and the ropes while ‘Honest’ Abe orders her back to the apron.

Gretel reaches toward Snow White but remains too far away.

Julian Ward: “The lower back and legs of Gretel are under severe pressure. The isolation has begun.”

Minute 8

Medussa Nemesis releases the Sharpshooter and pulls Gretel upright.

Hydra Veyne enters again.

The Monsters of Myth prepare another combination.

Medussa Nemesis reaches for a Legsweep DDT while Hydra Veyne loads a Spinning Back Fist.

Gretel ducks beneath the strike.

The fist passes over her head and nearly catches Medussa Nemesis.

Julian Ward:Gretel neutralizes the double-team. Hydra Veyne nearly strikes her own partner.”

Brick Brody: “That is the danger of surrounding somebody. Miss once, and the monster beside you becomes the target.”

Gretel shoves Hydra Veyne into Medussa Nemesis and dives toward her corner.

Snow White reaches over the rope.

Before the tag can be completed, Hydra Veyne catches Gretel’s ankle.

Julian Ward: “The escape succeeds, but the tag remains just beyond reach.”

Minute 9

The Monsters of Myth attempt to reset.

Hydra Veyne moves behind Gretel, preparing the Poisonrana and Knee Strike combination known as Nine-Headed End.

Gretel catches the legs before the rotation can begin.

She throws Hydra Veyne forward into Medussa Nemesis.

The two partners collide.

Julian Ward:Gretel reverses the entire double-team.”

Hydra Veyne turns back toward her.

Gretel explodes forward with another Shining Wizard.

The strike sends Hydra Veyne through the ropes and onto the apron.

Brick Brody: “That knee broke the trap. Gretel has survived three minutes of isolation and turned both monsters against one another.”

‘Honest’ Abe confirms Medussa Nemesis as the legal competitor and orders Hydra Veyne out.

Snow White calls urgently for the tag.

Medussa Nemesis places herself between Gretel and the corner.

Minute 10

Gretel lunges toward Snow White.

Medussa Nemesis catches her first.

She hooks the body and lifts her vertically.

Petrify drives Gretel down with a Piledriver.

The crowd reacts sharply.

Julian Ward: “Petrify from Medussa Nemesis. Gretel attempted to defend, but the Piledriver lands with full force.”

Brick Brody: “That could end the debut without Snow White ever receiving a legal tag.”

Gretel remains folded against the mat.

Medussa Nemesis kneels beside her and looks toward Snow White.

A cold smile crosses her face.

Julian Ward: “The Monsters of Myth are no longer merely trying to win. They are forcing Snow White to watch her partner being reduced.”

Minute 11

Medussa Nemesis pulls Gretel upright.

Gretel suddenly throws a Superkick.

The boot catches Medussa Nemesis beneath the jaw.

The larger woman staggers backward.

Julian Ward: “A desperate Superkick from Gretel. After Petrify, she still finds enough force to create separation.”

Brick Brody: “That is the opening. Do not hit her again. Make the tag.”

Gretel turns toward Snow White.

She takes one step.

Then another.

Medussa Nemesis catches her around the waist before the corner can be reached.

Snow White stretches over the top rope, but their hands remain inches apart.

Julian Ward: “The strike lands, but the escape is denied again.”

Minute 12

Medussa Nemesis pulls Gretel away and traps both legs.

She turns her into another Sharpshooter.

Julian Ward: “The Sharpshooter is locked in again.”

Gretel presses both palms against the mat.

She refuses to submit.

Snow White pounds the turnbuckle and calls toward her partner.

Gretel twists her body, forces one leg free, and throws a Pump Kick from the mat.

The boot catches Medussa Nemesis in the chest and breaks the hold.

Brick Brody: “She kicked her way out, but the legs still absorbed every second of that hold.”

Julian Ward: “Both women score in the exchange. Medussa Nemesis deepens the accumulated damage, while Gretel again prevents the submission.”

Gretel crawls toward Snow White.

Medussa Nemesis follows on one knee.

Minute 13

Medussa Nemesis reaches Gretel and powers her up.

A Spinebuster drives Gretel into the canvas.

Julian Ward: “The Spinebuster cuts off the path to the corner.”

Gretel uses the rebound to hook Medussa Nemesis across the shoulders.

She rolls forward with a Fireman’s Carry and sends the larger woman across the ring.

Brick Brody: “That was instinct. Gretel got planted and still found a way to throw the woman who did it.”

Both competitors remain down.

‘Honest’ Abe begins counting.

“One!”

“Two!”

“Three!”

Snow White extends both hands from the corner.

“Four!”

Hydra Veyne calls toward Medussa Nemesis from the opposite apron.

Julian Ward: “Both teams need the change, but Gretel has been denied for nearly the entire contest.”

Minute 14

Medussa Nemesis rises first.

She lowers her shoulder.

Gretel turns too late.

The Spear drives through her midsection and folds her onto the mat.

Julian Ward: “A devastating Spear from Medussa Nemesis. Gretel could not defend.”

Brick Brody: “That may have driven the last breath out of her.”

Medussa Nemesis remains across Gretel’s body for a moment but does not cover.

She looks toward Snow White again.

Julian Ward: “That hesitation may be arrogance. Medussa Nemesis is more interested in tormenting the debuting team than ending the match.”

Snow White grips the tag rope tightly.

Gretel rolls onto one side and tries to force herself upright.

Minute 15

Medussa Nemesis reaches down.

Gretel catches the arm, moves behind, and throws her with a Half Nelson Suplex.

The ring shakes.

Julian Ward: “The Half Nelson Suplex from Gretel. Medussa Nemesis attempted to defend but could not prevent the lift.”

Gretel bridges into the cover.

‘Honest’ Abe counts.

“One!”

“Two!”

Medussa Nemesis kicks out.

The crowd reacts loudly.

Brick Brody: “That was close. Gretel nearly won this after being trapped for most of the match.”

Julian Ward: “The near fall gives the Fairest Hunters their clearest chance, but it also costs Gretel the position she needed to reach her partner.”

Medussa Nemesis rolls toward the corner.

Hydra Veyne tags in.

Minute 16

Hydra Veyne enters with sudden speed.

She spins and drives a Back Fist across Gretel’s jaw.

Gretel absorbs the strike and catches Hydra Veyne across the shoulders.

She rolls forward with another Fireman’s Carry.

Both women rise unsteadily.

Julian Ward: “Spinning Back Fist from Hydra Veyne, answered by the Rolling Fireman’s Carry from Gretel.”

Brick Brody:Gretel keeps winning pieces of the fight, but she cannot reach the woman waiting in her corner.”

Hydra Veyne rolls backward and extends her hand.

Medussa Nemesis tags back in almost immediately.

Julian Ward: “Rapid changes from the Monsters of Myth. They are keeping fresh bodies against an isolated opponent.”

Minute 17

Medussa Nemesis catches Gretel’s leg and sweeps her down.

She hooks the head during the fall and completes the Legsweep DDT.

Julian Ward: “The Legsweep DDT drives Gretel’s head into the canvas.”

Gretel rolls through the impact and catches Medussa Nemesis across the shoulders.

Another Rolling Fireman’s Carry sends the larger woman toward the ropes.

Brick Brody: “Again, Gretel answers. That woman may not have enough strength left to walk, but she still has enough to throw monsters.”

Gretel crawls toward Snow White.

The crowd rises.

Snow White reaches forward.

Medussa Nemesis grabs Gretel by the ankle and drags her back toward the center.

The crowd erupts into boos.

Minute 18

Hydra Veyne enters at the call of her partner.

The Monsters of Myth surround Gretel again.

Medussa Nemesis throws her backward with a German Suplex.

As Gretel rises through the momentum, Hydra Veyne strikes her with another Spinning Back Fist.

Julian Ward: “German Suplex into the Back Fist. The Monsters of Myth have restored their double-team control.”

Gretel refuses to remain down.

She catches Hydra Veyne charging and rolls her through with another Fireman’s Carry.

Brick Brody: “That was not enough to win the exchange, but it stopped the monsters from finishing it.”

‘Honest’ Abe orders Hydra Veyne back to the apron.

Medussa Nemesis remains legal.

Gretel lies between both corners, breathing heavily.

Minute 19

Medussa Nemesis catches Gretel with another Legsweep DDT.

Gretel’s head strikes the mat.

She rises through instinct and throws another Shining Wizard.

The knee catches Medussa Nemesis across the face.

Both women collapse.

Julian Ward: “Legsweep DDT and Shining Wizard. Neither competitor leaves the exchange clean.”

Brick Brody:Gretel is running on whatever remains after exhaustion. Every time she should stop, another strike appears.”

Snow White calls from the apron.

Gretel begins dragging herself toward the corner.

Medussa Nemesis reaches for Hydra Veyne.

Both teams stretch toward the tags.

Minute 20

Medussa Nemesis reaches her corner first.

She makes the tag but remains inside.

Hydra Veyne climbs the ropes while Medussa Nemesis pulls Gretel into position.

Medussa Nemesis launches backward with a Moonsault.

The full weight crashes across Gretel.

As she tries to rise, Hydra Veyne drives another Spinning Back Fist into her head.

Julian Ward: “Moonsault from Medussa Nemesis, followed by the Spinning Back Fist from Hydra Veyne. Gretel absorbs the entire combination.”

Brick Brody: “That should be the end. The hunters came looking for monsters, and one of them has been trapped beneath both.”

Snow White attempts to enter.

‘Honest’ Abe intercepts her and orders her back.

The distraction allows the Monsters of Myth to continue surrounding Gretel.

Julian Ward: “The official is restoring the corner, but the cost is another period of isolation.”

Minute 21

Medussa Nemesis remains inside but withdraws defensively as Hydra Veyne climbs the ropes.

Hydra Veyne launches with a Diving Crossbody.

The body crashes across Gretel.

Gretel rolls through the impact and throws an Enzuigiri as both women rise.

The heel catches Hydra Veyne near the temple.

Julian Ward: “Diving Crossbody from Hydra Veyne, answered by the Enzuigiri.”

Brick Brody: “The Crossbody landed harder, but the kick keeps Gretel conscious.”

Gretel drops to both knees.

Snow White continues extending her hand.

Medussa Nemesis moves along the apron, blocking the referee’s view of the far corner.

Serpenta Veyne watches from the floor without speaking.

Minute 22

Medussa Nemesis steps back through the ropes.

She catches Gretel and drives her down with a second Petrify Piledriver.

The crowd reacts sharply.

Julian Ward: “Another Petrify from Medussa Nemesis. The head and neck of Gretel absorb another devastating landing.”

Hydra Veyne traps Gretel near the ropes and cuts across her chest with rapid Knife-Edge Chops.

Each strike echoes through the building.

Gretel throws a Spinning Heel Kick through the assault.

The kick catches Hydra Veyne, but Gretel falls immediately afterward.

Brick Brody: “She landed the kick, but there is almost nothing behind her legs now.”

Julian Ward: “The retaliation prevents complete control, yet the punishment clearly belongs to the Monsters of Myth.”

‘Honest’ Abe forces Hydra Veyne toward the apron.

Medussa Nemesis remains standing over Gretel.

Minute 23

Medussa Nemesis lowers her stance and prepares another Spear.

Snow White has seen enough.

She enters the ring.

Hydra Veyne steps through the ropes to intercept her.

All four women collide.

Medussa Nemesis drives forward and Spears Gretel.

At the same moment, Gretel throws a Superkick that catches Medussa Nemesis beneath the jaw during the collision.

Both women collapse.

Julian Ward: “Spear and Superkick. Medussa Nemesis drives through the body, but Gretel catches her during the impact.”

Hydra Veyne moves toward Snow White.

Snow White catches her around the waist.

She lifts.

Bridges.

And throws Hydra Veyne with the Kiss of Life, the Bridging Dragon Suplex.

The crowd erupts.

Brick Brody: “There is Snow White. She waited twenty-three minutes and nearly folded Hydra Veyne across her shoulders.”

Julian Ward: “The Kiss of Life lands cleanly. The debuting Fairest Hunters have finally placed both monsters on the canvas.”

‘Honest’ Abe orders Snow White and Hydra Veyne out of the ring.

Snow White returns reluctantly to the apron.

She reaches toward Gretel.

Gretel begins crawling.

Medussa Nemesis lies behind her.

The crowd rises as the distance closes.

Minute 24

Gretel reaches toward Snow White.

Their fingertips nearly meet.

Medussa Nemesis catches Gretel’s ankle.

She pulls her backward.

Gretel rolls through and throws a Spinning Heel Kick.

The strike catches Medussa Nemesis across the shoulder and head.

The larger woman staggers toward the ropes.

Julian Ward: “The Spinning Heel Kick lands. Gretel has created one final opening.”

Gretel falls toward her corner.

Medussa Nemesis reaches the ropes first.

She climbs to the top turnbuckle.

Snow White calls desperately toward her partner.

Gretel turns onto her back.

Medussa Nemesis launches.

The Diving Guillotine Leg Drop crashes across the throat and upper chest of Gretel.

The ring shakes.

Brick Brody: “That is the finish. Medussa Nemesis dropped all of that weight across the throat.”

Medussa Nemesis hooks the leg.

‘Honest’ Abe drops into position.

“One!”

Snow White enters.

Hydra Veyne catches her around the waist.

“Two!”

Snow White reaches toward the cover.

Hydra Veyne pulls her backward.

“Three!”

The bell rings.

The crowd erupts into boos.

Medussa Nemesis releases the cover and rises slowly.

‘Honest’ Abe signals toward the corner of the Monsters of Myth.

Louie Linville: “Here are your winners, Hydra Veyne and Medussa Nemesis, the Monsters of Myth!”

Serpenta Veyne enters the ring.

She takes her place between Hydra Veyne and Medussa Nemesis as the two winners stand over the fallen Gretel.

Snow White breaks free from Hydra Veyne and moves toward her partner.

For a tense moment, Medussa Nemesis remains in her path.

Serpenta Veyne raises one hand.

The monster steps aside.

Not from mercy.

From satisfaction.

The Monsters of Myth leave the ring together.

Serpenta Veyne leads them up the ramp while Hydra Veyne looks back toward the defeated debuting team.

Inside the ring, Snow White kneels beside Gretel.

She places one hand behind her partner’s neck and helps her sit upright.

Gretel looks toward the retreating monsters, frustration visible through the exhaustion.

Snow White speaks quietly.

Gretel nods.

The crowd begins applauding the effort of the Fairest Hunters.

Snow White helps Gretel rise.

The debuting team stands together despite the defeat.

Julian Ward: “The Monsters of Myth have defeated the Fairest Hunters, but the result required twenty-four minutes of sustained isolation. Gretel absorbed repeated Piledrivers, Sharpshooters, Spears, suplexes, and coordinated attacks while being denied the tag to Snow White.”

Brick Brody: “That was the match. The Fairest Hunters looked dangerous whenever both women were involved. The Monsters of Myth made sure that almost never happened. They trapped Gretel, kept Snow White on the apron, and punished the same body until the Guillotine Leg Drop finished it.”

Julian Ward: “The debut ends in defeat, but not without evidence of what this team may become. Snow White and Gretel displayed immediate coordination, escaped repeated traps, and briefly overwhelmed both monsters in the closing moments. Tonight, however, experience in cruelty defeated the beginning of a hunt.”

RESULT: THE MONSTERS OF MYTH DEFEAT THE FAIREST HUNTERS BY PINFALL AT THE 24-MINUTE MARK AFTER MEDUSSA NEMESIS PINS GRETEL WITH THE DIVING GUILLOTINE LEG DROP.

9. MATCH 5

The camera returns to the ring inside Scrooge’s Camelot Coliseum.

The applause for the debuting Fairest Hunters fades beneath a low ceremonial drumbeat.

The arena lights dim.

Red and gold flame begins moving across the stage screen.

Not wildly.

Deliberately.

The fire circles a dark metal plate until the face of the Eternal Flame Championship emerges from within it.

The crowd rises.

A second image appears beneath the championship.

Two marks carved into stone.

Two falls required.

No time limit.

The flames recede as the lighting changes to deep crimson, black, and muted gold.

A dragon coils across the screen.

Its body is long and narrow, moving through a field of smoke as the sound of wooden clappers breaks through the building.

Lady Ayame Ryu steps onto the stage.

She carries a folded ceremonial fan in one hand. Her expression is composed, but her attention immediately settles upon the ring.

Behind her comes Masa Tanenaga.

The crowd responds strongly.

He wears dark red, white, and gold wrestling gear marked with the imagery of speed, disciplined motion, and the dragon court. His posture remains loose, his weight resting lightly upon the balls of his feet.

He pauses beside Lady Ayame Ryu.

She turns slightly toward him and opens the fan.

One measured signal.

Masa Tanenaga nods.

Julian Ward: “The challenger enters beneath the guidance of Lady Ayame Ryu. Masa Tanenaga brings speed, flexibility, and the ability to produce dangerous offense from positions most opponents consider secure.”

Brick Brody: “And this is the right format for him. A fast man can steal one fall before the champion understands the rhythm. Then the champion has to spend the rest of the match chasing him.”

Julian Ward: “But one fall will not be enough. The Eternal Flame Championship will be decided across the best two of three falls, with no time limit.”

Brick Brody: “That means no clock to save either man and no lucky finish that ends the whole match. Beat the other man twice or keep fighting.”

Lady Ayame Ryu leads the walk down the ramp.

Masa Tanenaga follows one step behind her, keeping his eyes upon the ring.

At ringside, Lady Ayame Ryu stops beside the corner post.

Masa Tanenaga jumps onto the apron, vaults over the top rope, and lands near the center.

He turns toward the entranceway.

The crimson light disappears.

Darkness fills the building.

A low growl moves through the speakers.

A dragon’s eye opens across the stage screen.

The pupil burns red.

White-gold flame spreads outward from it until the entire entranceway appears consumed.

The crowd erupts.

Raigen steps through the fire.

The Eternal Flame Championship rests across his shoulder.

He wears black, crimson, and gold, the championship reflecting the light in sharp flashes as he walks forward. His expression remains severe and focused.

He does not look toward the crowd.

He looks first toward Masa Tanenaga.

Then toward Lady Ayame Ryu.

Then briefly toward the dark corridors on either side of the entranceway.

Julian Ward: “Earlier tonight, Raigen confronted uncertainty surrounding Taro Okami and the black mask discovered beside his equipment. The champion agreed to accept the word of Taro Okami, but skepticism remained.”

Brick Brody: “And Taro Okami is not standing beside him now. Good. A champion should defend his own title without turning the ring into a trust exercise.”

Julian Ward: “That was the decision of Raigen. This defense belongs to him. Yet the shadow of the Blood Oni Syndicate continues to follow every step surrounding the Eternal Flame Championship.”

Brick Brody: “Then he had better watch the challenger in front of him. Masa Tanenaga does not need a shadow to kick him in the head.”

Raigen walks down the ramp.

Several supporters reach toward the championship, but he keeps his pace measured.

At ringside, he stops.

He looks once toward Lady Ayame Ryu.

She meets his gaze without visible hostility.

Raigen climbs the steps and enters the ring.

He moves to the center and stands several feet from Masa Tanenaga.

The two men hold one another’s gaze beneath the red-and-gold light.

In the center, Louie Linville raises the microphone.

Louie Linville: “Ladies and gentlemen, this contest is for the Eternal Flame Championship!”

The crowd erupts.

Louie Linville: “This match will be contested under best two-out-of-three falls rules, with no time limit.”

Another loud reaction fills the coliseum.

Louie Linville: “The referee assigned to this championship match is ‘Honest’ Abe.”

‘Honest’ Abe steps forward and looks toward both corners.

Louie Linville: “Introducing first, the challenger, accompanied to the ring by Lady Ayame Ryu. He walks the disciplined path of the dragon court, striking with speed, precision, and unbroken purpose, Masa Tanenaga!”

The crowd responds strongly.

Masa Tanenaga gives one controlled bow.

Lady Ayame Ryu opens her fan behind him.

Louie Linville: “And his opponent, the reigning and defending Eternal Flame Champion, the awakened dragon, Raigen!”

The reaction becomes thunderous.

Raigen raises the championship with one hand.

He then gives it to ‘Honest’ Abe.

The referee lifts the title between the competitors before handing it to the ringside attendant.

‘Honest’ Abe gives both men final instructions.

Masa Tanenaga lowers his stance.

Raigen raises both hands.

The bell rings.

Minute 1

Masa Tanenaga begins with immediate movement.

He circles to the side before Raigen can establish a grip, jumps, and drives a Pele Kick against the side of the champion’s head.

Raigen falls toward one knee.

Julian Ward: “A Pele Kick from Masa Tanenaga in the opening minute. The challenger has immediately established the speed advantage.”

Brick Brody: “That is how you start a two-out-of-three falls match. Do not waste time proving you can wrestle slowly. Hit the champion before he settles.”

Raigen absorbs the punishment and pulls himself upright.

Masa Tanenaga circles again, refusing to stand directly in front of him.

Julian Ward: “The first exchange belongs completely to the challenger. Raigen must prevent the movement of Masa Tanenaga from dictating the entire opening fall.”

Minute 2

Raigen cuts off the next circle.

He brings both hands down across the shoulders of Masa Tanenaga with a heavy Double Axhandle.

The challenger attempts to raise his guard.

The blow breaks through and drives him toward the ropes.

Julian Ward: “The Double Axhandle lands cleanly. Raigen stops the movement by attacking through the guard.”

Brick Brody: “That is the champion’s answer. You cannot outrun somebody while both shoulders are being clubbed toward the mat.”

Raigen remains close.

He presses Masa Tanenaga toward the corner and forces him to carry the champion’s weight.

‘Honest’ Abe calls for separation.

Raigen steps back at four.

Julian Ward: “The match has already revealed the central struggle. Masa Tanenaga requires space. Raigen intends to remove it.”

Minute 3

Masa Tanenaga leaves the corner quickly.

Raigen meets him in the center with a sharp Knee Lift to the body and jaw.

The challenger attempted to brace but is lifted from his feet by the impact.

Julian Ward: “A powerful Knee Lift from Raigen. Masa Tanenaga could not defend once the champion closed the distance.”

Brick Brody: “That is the danger of moving forward against Raigen. The knee arrives before the opening does.”

Masa Tanenaga lands near the ropes.

Raigen pulls him toward the center, preventing Lady Ayame Ryu from offering immediate guidance.

Julian Ward: “The champion has taken control by making every exchange shorter and more physical.”

Minute 4

Raigen catches Masa Tanenaga from the side and traps one arm.

He stretches the challenger across his hip in an Abdominal Stretch.

Julian Ward: “The Abdominal Stretch is secured. Raigen is twisting the ribs and lower back while preventing Masa Tanenaga from using his speed.”

‘Honest’ Abe asks if the challenger submits.

Masa Tanenaga refuses.

At ringside, Lady Ayame Ryu opens her fan.

She delivers a sequence of short, precise signals.

Masa Tanenaga’s breathing steadies.

His posture adjusts.

Julian Ward:Lady Ayame Ryu is signaling Dragon’s Poise, guiding her protégé through the pressure.”

Brick Brody: “That is useful management. She is not screaming nonsense. She is telling him where to place his feet.”

Masa Tanenaga widens his base and begins turning toward the hold.

Raigen increases the pressure before eventually releasing to prevent a reversal.

Julian Ward: “The champion controls the minute, but the guidance of Lady Ayame Ryu prevents the hold from becoming decisive.”

Minute 5

Masa Tanenaga tries to create distance.

Raigen drives a Front Kick directly into his chest.

The challenger absorbs the full impact and falls backward.

Julian Ward: “The Front Kick lands cleanly. Masa Tanenaga could not escape the striking range of the champion.”

Raigen drops into the cover.

‘Honest’ Abe counts.

“One!”

Masa Tanenaga kicks out.

Brick Brody: “Too early. Raigen had control and spent it on a cover that was never ending the fall.”

Julian Ward: “The champion tests the resistance of Masa Tanenaga, but the challenger escapes immediately.”

Raigen rises without arguing.

Masa Tanenaga rolls toward the ropes and pulls himself upright.

Minute 6

Both men hesitate.

Raigen watches for another kick.

Masa Tanenaga waits for the champion to commit.

Neither gives the opening.

They reset again.

The crowd grows restless as the defensive struggle continues.

Julian Ward: “Both men understand how much a single fall can alter the remaining match. Neither is willing to offer the first mistake.”

The stillness breaks.

Masa Tanenaga catches Raigen turning and drives him down with the Pulse Drop, the Standing Shiranui snapping the champion’s head and shoulders into the canvas.

Brick Brody: “That is what patience buys. Raigen looked away for half a second, and Masa Tanenaga put him down.”

Raigen rolls through the impact and charges.

He catches Masa Tanenaga near the ropes and throws him over the top strand.

The challenger lands on the floor.

‘Honest’ Abe begins counting.

“One!”

“Two!”

Masa Tanenaga rises beside Lady Ayame Ryu.

“Three!”

He slides beneath the bottom rope.

Julian Ward: “The Pulse Drop gives the challenger the stronger attack, but Raigen removes him from the ring before momentum can develop.”

Minute 7

Masa Tanenaga returns with immediate urgency.

He catches Raigen, pulls him across his back, and launches him from the corner with the Turbo Backpack Iconoclasm.

The champion crashes into the canvas.

Julian Ward: “The Turbo Backpack Iconoclasm from Masa Tanenaga. Raigen absorbs the full landing.”

Brick Brody: “That is the advantage of the challenger’s movement. He does not need a long setup. One turn and the champion is falling.”

Masa Tanenaga remains close and drives a forearm into the back of Raigen’s neck.

The champion crawls toward the ropes.

Julian Ward: “The momentum has shifted toward Masa Tanenaga. He is combining speed with attacks directed toward the head and neck.”

Minute 8

Masa Tanenaga attempts another fast approach.

Raigen plants his feet and drives a second Front Kick into the challenger’s chest.

Masa Tanenaga tries to turn aside.

The strike lands fully and throws him backward.

Julian Ward: “Another Front Kick from Raigen. The challenger could not defend.”

Brick Brody: “Every time Masa Tanenaga gets comfortable, the champion puts a boot through him.”

Raigen pulls Masa Tanenaga upright and keeps him away from the ropes.

Julian Ward: “The champion has recognized the reliable answer. Straight-line force is interrupting the movement of Masa Tanenaga before the more complex attacks can form.”

Minute 9

Raigen advances.

Masa Tanenaga jumps suddenly and drives a Superkick beneath the champion’s jaw.

Raigen falls backward.

Julian Ward: “A sharp Superkick from Masa Tanenaga. Raigen absorbs the full strike.”

Brick Brody: “That kick landed before the champion could raise his hands. The first fall may be closer than Raigen wants to admit.”

Masa Tanenaga remains standing over him.

He considers a cover but instead waits for Raigen to rise.

Lady Ayame Ryu signals from the floor, urging patience.

Julian Ward: “The challenger chooses position over an uncertain cover. He understands that one decisive attack may now secure the opening fall.”

Minute 10

Masa Tanenaga reaches down.

Raigen catches the arm and pulls him forward.

He drops to the mat, extends the limb, and locks in an Armbar.

Julian Ward: “The Armbar is secured. Masa Tanenaga has been caught in the center of the ring.”

The challenger tries to clasp his hands.

Raigen separates them and extends the elbow.

At ringside, Lady Ayame Ryu opens her fan again.

This time, the signals are slower.

Measured.

Veil Endurance.

Masa Tanenaga shifts his legs and tries to rotate through the hold.

Brick Brody:Lady Ayame Ryu is showing him the escape, but the champion already has the arm stretched.”

Masa Tanenaga turns his body toward Raigen and attempts to roll through.

Raigen follows the movement.

He traps the far shoulder against the mat while maintaining control of the arm.

‘Honest’ Abe drops into position.

“One!”

“Two!”

Masa Tanenaga tries to turn.

“Three!”

The bell rings.

The crowd erupts.

Louie Linville: “The winner of the first fall by pinfall, Raigen!”

Julian Ward:Raigen converts the Armbar into a trapping pin and secures the opening fall.”

Brick Brody: “That was excellent control. Masa Tanenaga moved to escape the submission and rolled his own shoulders into the count.”

Julian Ward: “The champion now leads one fall to none, but both men are given the opportunity to reset before the second fall begins.”

‘Honest’ Abe directs both competitors toward their corners.

Raigen sits beneath the turnbuckles, breathing steadily.

Across the ring, Masa Tanenaga rolls his shoulder and listens as Lady Ayame Ryu speaks from the floor.

The referee checks both men.

They return to their feet.

The bell rings for the second fall.

Minute 11

Masa Tanenaga attacks immediately.

He jumps and drives another Superkick beneath the jaw of Raigen.

The champion falls into the ropes.

Julian Ward: “The challenger begins the second fall with a Superkick. There is no hesitation after losing the first.”

Brick Brody: “That is the correct response. Do not spend time thinking about the fall you lost. Hit the champion before he begins protecting the lead.”

Raigen absorbs the punishment and remains near the ropes.

Masa Tanenaga steps forward, but ‘Honest’ Abe briefly separates them when the champion becomes tangled in the strands.

Julian Ward: “The first decisive moment of the second fall belongs to Masa Tanenaga. He must now convert urgency into sustained control.”

Minute 12

Raigen catches Masa Tanenaga advancing.

He traps the arm and leg and bends him backward into another Abdominal Stretch.

Julian Ward: “The Abdominal Stretch returns. Raigen is forcing the challenger away from the fast pace he needs.”

Masa Tanenaga attempts to widen his base.

The champion adjusts and deepens the pressure.

Brick Brody: “That is how you protect a one-fall lead. Make the other man carry your weight and spend energy escaping.”

‘Honest’ Abe asks if Masa Tanenaga submits.

He refuses.

Lady Ayame Ryu calls toward him, but Raigen keeps the challenger turned away from her signals.

Julian Ward: “The hold does not produce the submission, but it allows Raigen to control both the body and the pace.”

Minute 13

Masa Tanenaga escapes and turns toward the center.

Raigen brings down another Double Axhandle across the shoulders.

At the same moment, Masa Tanenaga jumps and throws a Pele Kick over his own back.

The heel catches Raigen against the side of the head.

Both men fall.

Julian Ward: “Double Axhandle and Pele Kick. Both men connect in the same exchange.”

Brick Brody: “That is the kind of trade the challenger needs. Raigen hits harder, but Masa Tanenaga keeps making sure the champion pays for coming close.”

Raigen rises on one side.

Masa Tanenaga uses the ropes on the other.

Julian Ward: “The champion scores narrowly through force, but the challenger prevents another period of control.”

Minute 14

Raigen advances again.

Masa Tanenaga catches the head and turns through another Pulse Drop.

The Standing Shiranui drives Raigen into the canvas.

Julian Ward: “A second Pulse Drop from Masa Tanenaga. Raigen could not defend.”

Brick Brody: “That is the challenger’s strongest sequence of the match. He has the champion down and needs to stop letting him recover.”

Masa Tanenaga pulls Raigen away from the ropes.

He looks toward Lady Ayame Ryu.

She signals for continued pressure.

Julian Ward: “The challenger is building momentum. He has learned that isolated kicks are not enough. He is connecting attacks before Raigen can reestablish the grip.”

Minute 15

Masa Tanenaga moves behind Raigen.

He jumps, hooks the head with his legs, and drives the champion down with a Poison Rana.

Raigen lands across the head and shoulders.

The crowd reacts sharply.

Julian Ward: “The Poison Rana from Masa Tanenaga. Another dangerous landing for the champion.”

Brick Brody: “Now cover him. The challenger is behind one fall. This is where he has to collect the damage.”

Masa Tanenaga considers the cover but sees Raigen rolling toward the ropes.

He pulls the champion back instead.

Julian Ward: “The offense belongs entirely to Masa Tanenaga, but the delay allows Raigen another chance to recover.”

Lady Ayame Ryu strikes the closed fan against her palm, urging the challenger not to allow the opportunity to pass.

Minute 16

Masa Tanenaga pulls Raigen upright.

The champion creates separation and drives him toward the ropes.

Raigen catches the momentum and throws Masa Tanenaga over the top rope.

The challenger falls to the floor beside the barricade.

Julian Ward:Raigen throws Masa Tanenaga out of the ring. The champion has interrupted the strongest stretch of the challenger’s offense.”

Masa Tanenaga rises quickly.

He jumps onto the apron.

Before reentering, he throws another Pele Kick over the top rope.

The heel catches Raigen against the head and forces him backward.

Brick Brody: “That kick landed, but Masa Tanenaga is still on the floor.”

Masa Tanenaga drops from the apron after the strike.

He turns toward the ring steps.

A figure rises from behind the front row.

Black clothing.

A plain black mask.

A kendo stick gripped in both hands.

The masked man swings.

The weapon cracks across the back of Masa Tanenaga.

The challenger collapses beside the barricade.

The crowd erupts.

Inside the ring, Raigen remains on one knee after the Pele Kick.

His back is turned toward the floor.

‘Honest’ Abe watches the champion and does not see the attack.

Julian Ward: “A masked man has struck Masa Tanenaga with a kendo stick.”

Brick Brody: “The referee did not see it. Raigen did not see it.”

Lady Ayame Ryu runs toward the fallen challenger.

The masked man disappears through an opening in the crowd.

‘Honest’ Abe begins counting.

“One!”

Masa Tanenaga lies facedown beside the barricade.

“Two!”

Lady Ayame Ryu kneels beside him but does not touch him, knowing physical assistance could affect the count.

“Three!”

Inside the ring, Raigen rises and looks toward the floor.

He sees Masa Tanenaga down but does not know why.

“Four!”

Masa Tanenaga pushes one hand against the floor.

“Five!”

His back gives beneath him.

Julian Ward:Masa Tanenaga is attempting to rise, but the kendo-stick strike has left him unable to support his body.”

“Six!”

Lady Ayame Ryu calls toward him.

“Seven!”

Masa Tanenaga reaches for the barricade.

“Eight!”

He pulls himself onto one knee.

“Nine!”

He reaches toward the apron.

“Ten!”

‘Honest’ Abe calls for the bell.

The crowd erupts into confusion and anger.

Louie Linville: “The winner of the second fall by count-out, and still Eternal Flame Champion, Raigen!”

Inside the ring, Raigen does not raise his arms.

He looks toward ‘Honest’ Abe, then toward Masa Tanenaga on the floor.

The ringside attendant returns the Eternal Flame Championship.

Raigen takes it but does not lift it.

Lady Ayame Ryu points toward the crowd.

Raigen follows her line of sight.

Several rows beyond the barricade, the masked man stands among the spectators.

The black mask is plain.

Unmarked.

The same narrow eye openings seen earlier.

The kendo stick rests against one shoulder.

Raigen’s expression changes.

The skepticism from earlier returns as anger.

He steps through the ropes and drops to the floor.

The masked man backs deeper into the crowd.

Before Raigen can follow, the arena lights shift.

Red flame and white-blue lightning spread across the entranceway.

The crowd erupts into boos.

At the top of the ramp stands Lord Kurogami.

His hands are folded behind his back.

Kaen stands at one side, jaw tight and fists clenched.

Enrai stands at the other, calm and unreadable.

The Blood Oni Syndicate looks down upon the scene.

Raigen turns from the crowd toward the ramp.

The masked man remains behind him.

Lady Ayame Ryu helps Masa Tanenaga onto one knee.

Inside the arena, security personnel rush from both sides of the entranceway.

Alton Bell steps through the curtain behind them.

He raises one hand.

Security forms a wall across the ramp between Raigen and the Blood Oni Syndicate.

A second group moves through the crowd toward the masked man.

The figure disappears between the spectators before they arrive.

Raigen starts toward the ramp.

Alton Bell: “Stop.”

The single word carries through the building.

Raigen halts near the foot of the ramp.

He keeps the Eternal Flame Championship in one hand.

His eyes remain fixed upon Lord Kurogami.

Lord Kurogami does not speak.

He looks first toward Raigen.

Then toward the place in the crowd where the masked man disappeared.

A faint expression crosses his face.

Not surprise.

Not satisfaction.

Something impossible to read.

Kaen steps forward.

Security closes the gap.

Enrai places one hand against the chest of Kaen, preventing him from forcing the confrontation.

Alton Bell walks to the front of the security line.

Alton Bell: “No one advances.”

Raigen: “Your security allowed him into the crowd.”

Alton Bell: “And your anger will not restore the match.”

Raigen looks back toward Masa Tanenaga.

The challenger is now seated against the barricade while Lady Ayame Ryu checks the mark left across his back.

Raigen: “I did not see the attack.”

Lady Ayame Ryu: “But someone intended you to benefit from it.”

The words settle heavily.

Raigen turns toward Lord Kurogami again.

Raigen: “Was that your hand?”

Lord Kurogami remains silent.

Kaen smiles coldly.

Enrai gives no reaction.

Alton Bell: “This ends here.”

He looks toward the Blood Oni Syndicate.

Alton Bell: “You will leave the entranceway.”

Then toward Raigen.

Alton Bell: “You will remain at ringside.”

Raigen: “And the masked man?”

Alton Bell: “Will be found.”

Brick Brody: “That sounds confident.”

Julian Ward: “It sounds necessary. This championship match has ended beneath the same suspicion discussed earlier tonight.”

Security begins guiding Lord Kurogami, Kaen, and Enrai backward.

None of them resists.

That restraint makes the scene more unsettling.

Lord Kurogami gives Raigen one final look before disappearing behind the curtain.

At ringside, medical personnel approach Masa Tanenaga.

He refuses the first hand offered to him.

With assistance from Lady Ayame Ryu, he forces himself upright.

He looks toward Raigen.

The champion steps closer but stops several feet away.

Raigen: “I did not ask for that.”

Masa Tanenaga: “No.”

His breathing is strained.

Masa Tanenaga: “But you received it.”

The words strike harder than accusation.

Raigen looks down at the Eternal Flame Championship.

He does not answer.

Lady Ayame Ryu leads Masa Tanenaga away from the barricade.

The challenger walks under his own power, though every step is difficult.

Raigen remains beside the ring.

The title rests at his side.

He looks once more toward the crowd.

No mask remains.

No kendo stick.

Only empty seats and confused spectators.

Julian Ward:Raigen retains the Eternal Flame Championship in two straight falls. The first was earned through control, adjustment, and the conversion of the Armbar into a pin. The second was decided by an attack the champion did not see and did not request.”

Brick Brody: “The record still says two falls to none. I do not blame Raigen for something he did not know happened. But Masa Tanenaga was on his way back into that ring until somebody struck him across the back.”

Julian Ward: “The masked figure has deepened every suspicion surrounding Taro Okami, the Blood Oni Syndicate, and the alliance formed beside the champion. Raigen leaves with the Eternal Flame Championship, but not with certainty. Tonight, victory has preserved the reign while placing another shadow across it.”

RESULT: RAIGEN DEFEATS MASA TANENAGA TWO FALLS TO NONE TO RETAIN THE ETERNAL FLAME CHAMPIONSHIP. RAIGEN WINS THE FIRST FALL BY PINFALL AT THE 10-MINUTE MARK AFTER CONVERTING THE ARMBAR INTO A PINNING COMBINATION, THEN WINS THE SECOND FALL BY COUNT-OUT AT THE 16-MINUTE MARK AFTER A MASKED MAN STRIKES MASA TANENAGA WITH A KENDO STICK OUTSIDE THE RING.

10. ROYAL ORDER

The camera returns to the interior of Scrooge’s Camelot Coliseum.

Security personnel continue moving through the lower sections following the attack upon Masa Tanenaga. Several officials speak urgently beside the barricade while others search the corridors through which the masked assailant disappeared.

At ringside, the marks from the Eternal Flame Championship match remain.

A displaced steel step.

A broken section of barricade padding.

The place where Masa Tanenaga fell after the kendo-stick strike.

The crowd remains loud and unsettled.

At the commentary desk, Julian Ward looks toward the entranceway.

Julian Ward: “The Eternal Flame Championship remains with Raigen, but the circumstances surrounding the second fall have created more questions than answers. The masked assailant escaped through the crowd, while Lord Kurogami, Kaen, and Enrai appeared upon the stage without offering any explanation.”

Brick Brody: “Everybody keeps asking who wore the mask. I am more interested in who handed him the kendo stick and told him where to stand.”

Julian Ward:Alton Bell prevented the situation from becoming a larger confrontation, but control within the Mythic Division appears increasingly fragile.”

A ceremonial trumpet sounds.

The crowd reacts immediately.

The security personnel stop.

Blue-and-gold light spreads across the entranceway.

The stage screen fills with the crest of Camelot.

For several seconds, the crest appears polished and whole.

Then images begin appearing around it.

The black mask.

The red symbol of the Blood Oni Syndicate.

The cracked crown of Mordred.

The dark laboratory insignia of Monster Bash.

The seal of Nottingham.

A green arrow associated with Robin Hood.

Each symbol circles the crest like forces gathering around a throne.

A sword descends through the center of the image.

The surrounding symbols stop.

A full ceremonial fanfare rises through the coliseum.

Merlin steps onto the stage.

He wears deep blue and silver robes, the fabric catching the light like moonlight against stone. His staff rests in one hand. His expression is grave as he looks first toward the disturbed crowd and then toward the ring.

The music grows louder.

King Arthur emerges behind him.

The crowd rises.

The Mythic Crown Championship rests across his shoulder. Blue, white, and gold armor-inspired gear gleams beneath the entrance lights. His posture is straight, his expression calm, and his chin is raised with unmistakable authority.

There is no smile tonight.

No uncertainty.

Julian Ward: “Before facing Ares in our main event, the reigning Mythic Crown Champion has requested time to address the division.”

Brick Brody: “Good. Somebody should. We have masked men in the crowd, monsters carrying championships, syndicates conducting ambushes, and half the locker room declaring itself royalty.”

Julian Ward: “The question is whether King Arthur intends to restore stability or further expand the authority he claimed last week inside The Bunker.”

Brick Brody: “Authority is supposed to expand when chaos expands. That is the point of having a king.”

Merlin begins walking toward the ring.

King Arthur follows.

Supporters of Camelot raise shields and banners along the aisle. Many cheer. Others watch with greater hesitation than they once did.

Near the barricade, a group of supporters holds a green banner bearing the crest of Sherwood.

King Arthur notices it.

He does not acknowledge it.

At ringside, Merlin climbs the steps.

King Arthur follows him onto the apron and enters through the ropes.

The champion moves to the center of the ring while Merlin remains several steps behind him.

Louie Linville approaches and offers the microphone.

King Arthur accepts it.

The fanfare fades.

The crowd continues reacting as King Arthur looks slowly around Scrooge’s Camelot Coliseum.

He allows the noise to continue.

He does not raise his voice to compete with it.

He waits until the building begins to quiet.

King Arthur: “Tonight, you have witnessed what this division has become.”

A mixed reaction moves through the crowd.

King Arthur: “Not what it claims to be.”

He looks toward the place where the masked man struck Masa Tanenaga.

King Arthur: “What it has become.”

The stage screen displays the masked attacker swinging the kendo stick.

The footage freezes before impact.

King Arthur: “A championship contest was decided by a man without a face.”

The image changes.

Lord Kurogami, Kaen, and Enrai stand at the top of the ramp.

King Arthur: “A syndicate appeared to admire the consequences while denying responsibility for the hand that created them.”

The image changes again.

Hydra Veyne, Medussa Nemesis, and Serpenta Veyne stand over the fallen Fairest Hunters.

King Arthur: “Monsters gather beneath banners and expect their nature to excuse their conduct.”

The crest of the Broken Crown appears.

Mordred stands beside Myrrden.

The Black Knight and the Dread Knights emerge behind them.

King Arthur: “A failed claimant surrounds himself with corrupted knights and calls grievance a kingdom.”

Boos and cheers clash through the building at the reference to Mordred.

The seal of Nottingham appears next.

Prince John raises his sceptre while the Sheriff of Nottingham stands beneath the image of the Mythic Crown Championship.

King Arthur: “A lesser court mistakes brutality for legitimacy and believes that enforcement performed beneath another man’s sceptre creates the right to rule.”

The crowd reacts loudly.

King Arthur lowers the microphone for a moment.

His eyes move toward the hard camera.

King Arthur: “And rogues move between every conflict.”

A green arrow crosses the screen.

The image of Robin Hood appears.

The crowd response becomes divided.

King Arthur: “They declare themselves accountable to no throne.”

The image shows Robin Hood standing among the people of Sherwood.

King Arthur: “They accept the protection of a kingdom while claiming the freedom to question every law that kingdom requires.”

The reaction grows louder.

Merlin watches King Arthur from behind.

His expression tightens slightly.

King Arthur: “This is not liberty.”

His voice remains controlled.

King Arthur: “It is fragmentation.”

He steps toward the ropes.

King Arthur: “Every monster builds a lair.”

King Arthur: “Every syndicate claims territory.”

King Arthur: “Every false king gathers followers.”

King Arthur: “Every rogue creates a private definition of justice.”

He lifts the Mythic Crown Championship from his shoulder.

King Arthur: “And while they divide the land between them, they expect the crown to remain decorative.”

The championship catches the blue-and-gold light.

King Arthur: “They expect the king to wait.”

A beat passes.

King Arthur: “To observe.”

Another pause.

King Arthur: “To endure.”

The word hangs over the coliseum.

King Arthur: “I have endured.”

He looks toward the stage.

King Arthur: “I endured the betrayal of Mordred.”

The cracked crown appears again.

King Arthur: “I endured the strength of Frankenstein’s Monster.”

The image changes to the towering figure of Frankenstein’s Monster.

King Arthur: “I endured the doubts of allies.”

The image of Robin Hood returns.

King Arthur: “I endured challengers who believed exhaustion had made the throne vulnerable.”

The faces of previous opponents pass across the screen.

King Arthur: “And each time, the crown remained.”

He lifts the championship higher.

The crowd reacts strongly.

King Arthur: “But endurance is not the final duty of a king.”

The championship lowers to his shoulder.

King Arthur: “A king does not merely survive disorder.”

King Arthur: “He ends it.”

The supporters of Camelot erupt.

Other sections answer with boos.

King Arthur turns toward one side of the coliseum.

King Arthur: “Therefore, let every court hear this.”

He turns toward another.

King Arthur: “Let every faction carry these words back to its chambers.”

He looks directly into the camera.

King Arthur: “Let every creature hiding behind mythology understand that legend does not place it beyond judgment.”

The blue-and-gold crest of Camelot fills the screen behind him.

King Arthur: “By authority of the throne.”

He places one hand upon the center plate of the Mythic Crown Championship.

King Arthur: “By responsibility of this championship.”

He raises the microphone.

King Arthur: “And by the strength through which both remain mine.”

The crowd rises.

King Arthur: “I issue this decree.”

A deep ceremonial bell sounds.

King Arthur: “From this night forward, no private war will be permitted to consume the Mythic Division without answer.”

The image of the Blood Oni Syndicate appears.

King Arthur: “The Blood Oni Syndicate will not conduct ambushes beneath masks and call secrecy power.”

The crowd reacts.

King Arthur: “If Lord Kurogami commands the shadows, then the shadows will be dragged into royal light.”

The faces of Kaen, Enrai, and Yurei Rinn appear.

King Arthur: “His followers will answer for every attack they commit.”

King Arthur: “Every deception they construct.”

King Arthur: “Every championship they attempt to corrupt.”

The image changes to the members of Monster Bash.

King Arthur: “No monster will claim that violence places it beyond law.”

The crowd reacts at the sight of Frankenstein’s Monster, Kong, and Ogre.

King Arthur: “Strength earns recognition.”

King Arthur: “It does not earn exemption.”

He lowers his voice.

King Arthur: “If Dr. Frankenstein believes he may direct living weapons through this division without consequence, then he will learn that even monsters can be contained.”

The laboratory image disappears behind blue flame.

The crest of the Broken Crown appears next.

King Arthur: “No false king will create a court from bitterness.”

Boos rise from supporters of Mordred.

King Arthur:Mordred may surround himself with Myrrden, the Dread Knights, the Black Knight, and every fallen soul willing to kneel beneath a cracked crown.”

His expression hardens.

King Arthur: “It will not make him king.”

The crowd erupts.

King Arthur: “Blood did not give him this throne.”

King Arthur: “Betrayal did not give him this championship.”

King Arthur: “And hatred will not give him the authority he failed to earn.”

He looks toward the entranceway.

King Arthur: “The Broken Crown is not a rival kingdom.”

A pause.

King Arthur: “It is an insurrection awaiting judgment.”

The seal of Nottingham appears.

King Arthur: “No servant will declare himself ruler because he has discovered that cruelty produces obedience.”

The Sheriff of Nottingham appears beside Prince John.

King Arthur: “The Sheriff of Nottingham has announced his intention to pursue this championship.”

A low reaction moves through the crowd.

King Arthur: “He has every right to pursue it.”

A faint smile touches the champion’s face.

Not warmth.

Challenge.

King Arthur: “He has no right to presume he is prepared to hold it.”

The reaction grows louder.

King Arthur: “A sceptre may create a stolen victory.”

King Arthur: “It cannot create a king.”

The image of Prince John fractures.

King Arthur: “If the Sheriff of Nottingham wishes to build a road toward me, he may continue.”

King Arthur: “But every stone he lays will bring him closer to discovering the difference between enforcing another man’s authority and carrying authority of his own.”

The seal disappears.

A green arrow appears.

The reaction becomes immediate.

King Arthur looks toward the supporters of Sherwood.

King Arthur: “And no rogue will use friendship as protection from consequence.”

The crowd becomes sharply divided.

Merlin steps forward by half a pace.

King Arthur continues before he can speak.

King Arthur:Robin Hood has claimed the right to question the throne.”

Green light spreads across the stage screen.

King Arthur: “He possesses that right.”

Some of the crowd cheers.

King Arthur: “He possesses the right to speak.”

The cheers grow.

King Arthur: “He possesses the right to disagree.”

Then King Arthur’s voice hardens.

King Arthur: “He does not possess the right to weaken the kingdom while calling that weakness virtue.”

The cheers become scattered beneath boos.

King Arthur: “Freedom is not the absence of consequence.”

King Arthur: “Rebellion is not made righteous because the rebel believes his intentions are pure.”

King Arthur: “And friendship does not place a man above the authority he has chosen to challenge.”

The image of Robin Hood remains behind him.

King Arthur: “If Robin Hood stands beside Camelot, he will be defended as an ally.”

A long pause follows.

King Arthur: “If he stands against Camelot, he will be answered as an opponent.”

The green image fades beneath blue-and-gold light.

Merlin steps forward.

The crowd reacts as the ancient wizard moves beside the champion.

Merlin: “A kingdom requires order.”

His voice carries calm authority.

Merlin: “Without it, strength becomes appetite.”

He looks toward the images that had surrounded the crest.

Merlin: “Factions become armies.”

Merlin: “Disputes become wars.”

Merlin: “And those without power become the ground upon which greater forces measure themselves.”

The crowd quiets.

Merlin: “In this, the king speaks truly.”

King Arthur turns slightly toward him.

Merlin: “But order is not silence.”

A murmur passes through the building.

Merlin: “Loyalty is not the absence of question.”

Merlin: “And a kingdom does not become secure merely because every voice beneath the throne has learned to whisper.”

The expression of King Arthur remains controlled.

Merlin: “The crown must distinguish between those who seek to destroy the realm and those who fear what the realm may become.”

A long silence follows.

King Arthur: “I know the distinction.”

Merlin: “Then remember it.”

The response is quiet.

Not defiant.

A counsel offered where everyone can hear it.

King Arthur studies Merlin.

King Arthur: “You fear that order may become domination.”

Merlin: “I fear every power which ceases to examine itself.”

The crowd reacts.

King Arthur: “And I fear a kingdom which examines itself until its enemies have already crossed the walls.”

Merlin: “Caution is not surrender.”

King Arthur: “Neither is command corruption.”

The two men stand beneath the crest of Camelot.

Champion and counselor.

King and wizard.

For several seconds, neither speaks.

Then King Arthur turns back toward the crowd.

King Arthur: “This decree does not forbid disagreement.”

He looks briefly toward Merlin.

King Arthur: “It forbids disorder from disguising itself as freedom.”

His attention returns to the camera.

King Arthur: “It does not place the crown beyond question.”

He touches the championship.

King Arthur: “It places every challenger before the same measure.”

King Arthur: “Stand openly.”

King Arthur: “Declare your purpose.”

King Arthur: “Enter the ring.”

King Arthur: “And accept the consequence.”

The crowd grows louder.

King Arthur: “No masks.”

The image of the masked attacker appears.

King Arthur: “No ambushes.”

The Blood Oni Syndicate appears.

King Arthur: “No borrowed sceptres.”

The image of Prince John flashes.

King Arthur: “No corrupted knights acting beneath a dead claim.”

The crest of the Broken Crown returns.

King Arthur: “No monsters believing fear has made them sovereign.”

The faces of Monster Bash and the Monsters of Myth appear.

King Arthur: “Every power in this division will stand within the same light.”

He raises the Mythic Crown Championship.

King Arthur: “The light of judgment.”

Another ceremonial bell sounds.

King Arthur: “The light of consequence.”

The blue-and-gold illumination brightens.

King Arthur: “The light of the crown.”

The supporters of Camelot erupt.

King Arthur: “I am King Arthur.”

His voice grows stronger.

King Arthur: “I am the Mythic Crown Champion.”

He steps toward the center of the ring.

King Arthur: “And from this night forward, I will not merely defend this division from those who seek to possess it.”

He looks toward the entranceway.

King Arthur: “I will bring it to order.”

The crowd explodes into competing cheers and boos.

Merlin stands behind him, his expression unreadable.

King Arthur lowers the championship back onto his shoulder.

King Arthur: “Monsters will be confronted.”

King Arthur: “Syndicates will be broken.”

King Arthur: “False kings and their cohorts will be cast down.”

King Arthur: “Rogues will choose whether they stand within the kingdom or against it.”

He pauses.

King Arthur: “And every man who believes war grants him authority will be reminded that war still requires a victor.”

A golden light begins forming on the stage screen.

A spear strikes through the crest of Camelot.

Thunder shakes the coliseum.

The crowd erupts.

The symbol of Ares burns across the entranceway.

King Arthur looks toward it without lowering the microphone.

King Arthur: “That reminder begins now.”

He hands the microphone to Louie Linville.

Merlin steps toward the corner.

The blue-and-gold crest remains on one half of the screen.

The burning spear of Ares occupies the other.

At the commentary desk, Julian Ward watches the champion carefully.

Julian Ward:King Arthur has issued a sweeping decree over the Mythic Division. Monsters, syndicates, rival courts, false claimants, and even former allies have been placed beneath the judgment of the crown.”

Brick Brody: “Good. The division has been running in six directions while everybody argues about feelings. The king just drew one line and told them all where it stands.”

Julian Ward: “But the warning offered by Merlin should not be ignored. Order can protect a kingdom. It can also become the language through which power excuses itself.”

Brick Brody: “Then the king should prove the difference in the ring.”

Thunder rolls again.

Smoke begins gathering across the stage.

King Arthur removes the Mythic Crown Championship from his shoulder and holds it against his chest.

He looks toward Merlin.

Merlin speaks quietly.

The words cannot be heard.

King Arthur gives one restrained nod.

Then he turns toward the entranceway.

Julian Ward: “The decree has been spoken. Now the king must stand behind it.”

Brick Brody: “And the first man answering is the god of war.”

The golden spear strikes the screen again.

The arena lights fall into darkness.

11. MAIN EVENT

The darkness remains over Scrooge’s Camelot Coliseum.

Inside the ring, King Arthur stands beneath the blue-and-gold crest of Camelot.

The Mythic Crown Championship rests across his shoulder.

Several feet behind him, Merlin watches the entranceway with both hands resting upon his staff.

The final words of the royal decree still hang over the arena.

Monsters will be confronted.

Syndicates will be broken.

False kings will be cast down.

Order will be restored.

Then thunder answers the crown.

A spear of burning gold tears through the crest of Camelot on the stage screen.

The image splits apart.

Behind it appears a battlefield beneath a blood-red sky.

Broken shields cover the ground.

Swords stand buried in the earth.

A formation of spectral warriors marches through smoke as the sound of war drums rolls through the coliseum.

A bolt of white lightning strikes the entranceway.

Zeus steps through the smoke.

The crowd responds loudly.

He wears white and gold, his ceremonial cloak spread across his shoulders. One hand grips a long staff crowned with a metallic lightning symbol. His expression remains severe as he looks toward King Arthur inside the ring.

A second bolt strikes behind him.

Ares emerges.

Boos fill the building.

He wears dark red, black, and bronze wrestling gear shaped by ancient armor. His shoulders are broad, his fists already closed, and his expression carries open contempt for the ceremony surrounding the Mythic Crown Champion.

Ares stands beside Zeus beneath the burning battlefield.

Julian Ward: “The decree of King Arthur called for order throughout the Mythic Division. The first man to answer is Ares, a warrior who does not seek order unless it is imposed through conquest.”

Brick Brody: “That decree sounded impressive. Now the king has to fight the god of war before the ink is dry.”

Julian Ward:Ares brings direct physical violence, but he does not enter alone. Zeus remains one of the most influential and dangerous figures surrounding the court of Olympus.”

Brick Brody: “And King Arthur has Merlin. Two powerful old men standing outside the ring while two younger men hit each other. That arrangement has survived every civilization.”

Zeus begins walking down the ramp.

Ares follows him.

The war drums grow louder with every step.

Inside the ring, King Arthur removes the Mythic Crown Championship from his shoulder.

He hands it to Merlin.

The ancient wizard accepts it carefully and steps through the ropes to the floor.

King Arthur removes his entrance coat and stands in his blue, white, and gold wrestling gear.

He does not look toward the championship again.

His eyes remain fixed upon Ares.

At ringside, Zeus stops near the corner opposite Merlin.

The two advisers exchange a long stare across the ring.

Ares climbs onto the apron.

He steps through the ropes and advances directly toward King Arthur.

The two men meet near the center.

Neither offers a hand.

Neither gives ground.

Julian Ward: “The king has spoken of ending disorder. Ares represents war without apology. This match will measure whether the authority claimed by King Arthur can withstand the force that arrives to challenge it.”

Brick Brody: “Forget the symbolism. Ares wants to hit him, and King Arthur believes he cannot be moved. That is enough for a main event.”

Louie Linville enters the space between them and raises the microphone.

Louie Linville: “Ladies and gentlemen, this is your main event of the evening, scheduled for one fall!”

The crowd erupts.

Louie Linville: “The referee assigned to this contest is ‘Honest’ Abe.”

‘Honest’ Abe steps forward.

He looks first toward Zeus.

Then toward Merlin.

Both men are warned to remain on the floor.

Louie Linville: “Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by Zeus. The incarnate fury of battle, the breaker of shields, the unrestrained will of war, Ares!”

Boos spread through the coliseum.

Ares raises both arms and looks toward the hostile crowd with contempt.

Louie Linville: “And his opponent, accompanied to the ring by Merlin. He is the reigning Mythic Crown Champion, the sovereign blade of Camelot, King Arthur!”

The building erupts into competing cheers and boos.

King Arthur raises one fist.

He does not take his eyes from Ares.

‘Honest’ Abe gives both men their final instructions.

Ares rolls his shoulders.

King Arthur lowers his stance.

The bell rings.

Minute 1

Ares closes the distance immediately.

He catches one arm of King Arthur and attempts to pull him backward into a Side Russian Leg Sweep.

King Arthur widens his base.

He hooks one leg behind the knee of Ares and prevents the fall.

Julian Ward:King Arthur neutralizes the Side Russian Leg Sweep. Ares attempted to force the champion down immediately, but the king recognized the position.”

Brick Brody: “That was not strength. That was balance. King Arthur felt the leg behind him before Ares could complete the sweep.”

King Arthur twists the trapped arm and forces Ares toward one knee.

Ares rolls through and breaks free.

The two men separate.

Julian Ward: “The opening minute belongs defensively to King Arthur. No attack lands, but the first attempt by Ares is denied.”

Ares gives the champion a thin smile.

King Arthur answers with none.

Minute 2

Both men circle.

King Arthur waits for Ares to move.

Ares keeps his hands high and refuses to commit.

The first approach ends without contact.

The second produces only a brief collar-and-elbow tie-up before both men separate again.

Julian Ward: “Neither man is willing to surrender the first clean opening. The main event has begun with calculation rather than uncontrolled force.”

Brick Brody: “They both spent too much time being introduced. Somebody should throw a fist.”

The third approach breaks the stalemate.

King Arthur catches the head of Ares and drives him down with a Flowing DDT.

At the same moment, Ares throws a Forearm Smash across the side of the champion’s face.

Both men hit the canvas.

Julian Ward: “The Flowing DDT lands, but Ares delivers the Forearm Smash during the descent.”

Brick Brody: “That is a good trade for the king. Ares hit him hard. King Arthur drove the head into the mat.”

King Arthur rises first.

Ares follows, one hand pressed against his forehead.

Minute 3

Ares attacks before King Arthur can close again.

He catches the champion around the head and shoulder, turns sharply, and drops him across the neck with a Neck Breaker.

King Arthur attempts to brace against the fall.

He cannot stop the rotation.

Julian Ward: “A sharp Neck Breaker from Ares. King Arthur recognized the danger but could not prevent the landing.”

Brick Brody: “That is where Ares should stay. The king likes to stand tall. Keep putting him down by the neck.”

Ares kneels beside the champion and drives one forearm across the upper back.

‘Honest’ Abe warns him away from the base of the skull.

Ares rises slowly.

He looks toward Zeus.

The ruler of Olympus gives one measured nod.

Julian Ward: “The first sustained offense belongs to Ares. He has begun targeting the neck after the early DDT.”

Minute 4

King Arthur rises near the ropes.

Ares reaches for him.

The champion catches the wrist and pulls him forward.

A Short-Arm Clothesline crashes across the chest and throat of Ares.

The god of war falls backward.

Julian Ward: “The Short-Arm Clothesline from King Arthur. Ares absorbs the full impact.”

Brick Brody: “That is royal authority translated correctly. Pull the man close and knock him flat.”

King Arthur keeps hold of the wrist and drags Ares upright.

He considers a second Clothesline.

Ares twists free and retreats toward the corner.

Julian Ward:King Arthur has answered the Neck Breaker with direct force. Neither man has controlled more than a single exchange.”

At ringside, Merlin watches closely.

Across from him, Zeus remains still.

Minute 5

King Arthur pulls Ares away from the corner and drives him down.

The champion jumps and drops one knee across the upper chest with a Jumping Knee Drop.

Julian Ward: “The Jumping Knee Drop lands across the chest of Ares.”

As King Arthur rises, Ares drives a Forearm Smash into the side of his jaw.

The champion staggers backward.

Brick Brody:Ares keeps finding that forearm whenever the king stands above him.”

Julian Ward: “The greater impact belongs to King Arthur, but the retaliation prevents another attack.”

Ares rises and presses his forehead against the champion’s.

King Arthur shoves him away.

The tension between them becomes less measured.

More personal.

Minute 6

Ares charges.

King Arthur catches both arms.

He turns the body of Ares, hooks him, and drives him face-first into the canvas with the King’s Decree.

The Pedigree lands with heavy force.

The crowd erupts.

Julian Ward: “The King’s Decree connects.”

During the fall, Ares twists his grip around the head of the champion.

He drags King Arthur down with another Neck Breaker as both men hit the mat.

Brick Brody: “That was vicious. King Arthur landed the Pedigree, and Ares still made sure the king came down beside him.”

Both men lie near the center.

Julian Ward: “The King’s Decree produces the stronger damage, but the Neck Breaker denies King Arthur the immediate cover.”

‘Honest’ Abe begins a standing count.

“One!”

“Two!”

King Arthur turns toward one knee.

“Three!”

Ares rolls toward the ropes.

“Four!”

Both men rise.

Minute 7

The competitors approach cautiously.

Neither commits.

They separate.

Another attempted tie-up ends without advantage.

The crowd grows louder.

King Arthur turns briefly toward Ares.

At ringside, Zeus raises his staff.

A sharp flash of white light explodes against the ring post.

The sound of thunder cracks through the arena.

King Arthur turns instinctively toward it.

Julian Ward: “Interference from Zeus.”

Merlin moves immediately around the ring.

‘Honest’ Abe looks toward the flash but does not see the source clearly.

Ares attacks from behind.

He drives King Arthur forward and crushes him against the turnbuckles.

The champion falls to the mat.

Brick Brody: “The king looked toward the lightning, and the god of war took the opening.”

Julian Ward: “The Lightning Rod interference has given Ares complete control of the minute.”

Merlin points his staff toward Zeus.

Merlin: “Do not test me.”

Zeus lowers the lightning staff.

His expression remains calm.

Inside the ring, Ares stands over King Arthur.

Minute 8

Ares pulls the champion upright.

King Arthur suddenly catches both arms again.

He turns and drives Ares down with a second King’s Decree.

The crowd erupts.

Julian Ward: “Another King’s Decree. King Arthur has recovered from the interference.”

During the descent, Ares shifts his body beneath the champion.

He pulls King Arthur across one shoulder and drops him over the upper back with an Over-the-Shoulder Backbreaker.

Both men fall apart.

Brick Brody: “The king drove him down, but Ares broke the back during the same exchange.”

Julian Ward: “The King’s Decree again produces greater impact. The Backbreaker again prevents the cover.”

King Arthur presses one hand against his lower back.

Ares lies face-down nearby.

At ringside, Merlin and Zeus remain locked in a silent confrontation.

Minute 9

Both men rise slowly.

King Arthur catches Ares from behind and drives the knee upward with an Atomic Drop.

Ares stumbles forward.

He turns and drives a Knee Lift into the body and jaw of the champion.

Julian Ward: “Atomic Drop from King Arthur, answered by the Knee Lift from Ares.”

Brick Brody: “The Knee Lift landed harder. The king struck first, but Ares finished the exchange.”

King Arthur falls toward one knee.

Ares grabs the back of his head and tries to pull him upright.

The champion breaks the grip and creates distance.

Julian Ward: “Neither man can establish control without receiving punishment in return. The match has become a succession of collisions.”

Minute 10

Both men hesitate again.

King Arthur protects the neck.

Ares keeps one arm close to his ribs after the repeated King’s Decree.

They circle.

The first approach ends without a strike.

The second ends with both men breaking the grip.

Brick Brody: “They know each other’s damage now. The king wants the arms. Ares wants the neck and back.”

The third approach produces violence.

King Arthur catches the wrist and pulls Ares into another Short-Arm Clothesline.

The impact turns Ares inside out.

During the fall, Ares drags the champion across his shoulder and drops him into another Over-the-Shoulder Backbreaker.

Julian Ward: “Short-Arm Clothesline and Backbreaker. Both men strike again.”

Brick Brody: “The king is landing the heavier blows. Ares is making every one of them expensive.”

King Arthur rises first but remains bent slightly at the waist.

Ares crawls toward the ropes.

Minute 11

Both competitors reset near the center.

Ares raises one forearm.

King Arthur waits.

The champion catches the head and drives Ares down with another Flowing DDT.

Julian Ward: “The Flowing DDT plants Ares.”

As King Arthur rises, Ares drives another Knee Lift into his ribs.

The champion staggers but remains standing.

Brick Brody: “That knee landed, but the DDT did more damage.”

Julian Ward:King Arthur has begun winning the exchanges more clearly. Ares continues retaliating, but the champion is recovering first.”

Ares uses the ropes to stand.

King Arthur moves toward him.

Zeus raises one hand from the floor.

‘Honest’ Abe immediately looks in his direction.

Zeus lowers it again without acting.

Merlin does not take his eyes from him.

Minute 12

Ares surges forward.

He catches King Arthur and attempts another Over-the-Shoulder Backbreaker.

The champion shifts his weight before he can be lifted fully.

King Arthur slides behind.

Julian Ward:King Arthur reverses the Backbreaker.”

The champion catches the wrist of Ares.

He pulls him forward.

The Short-Arm Clothesline crashes across the chest and jaw.

Ares falls flat.

Julian Ward: “Another Short-Arm Clothesline. Ares could not defend.”

King Arthur drops into the cover and hooks the leg.

‘Honest’ Abe counts.

“One!”

Zeus steps toward the apron.

Merlin immediately moves between him and the ring.

“Two!”

Ares attempts to turn one shoulder.

King Arthur presses his weight down.

“Three!”

The bell rings.

The crowd erupts.

King Arthur releases the cover and rises onto one knee.

‘Honest’ Abe signals toward him.

Louie Linville: “Here is your winner, the Mythic Crown Champion, King Arthur!”

Blue-and-gold light spreads through the coliseum.

Merlin takes the Mythic Crown Championship from the timekeeper.

He enters the ring and presents it to King Arthur.

The champion accepts the title and rises.

Across the ring, Ares sits against the bottom turnbuckle, one hand pressed against his jaw.

Zeus enters through the ropes.

He stands beside Ares but looks directly toward King Arthur.

The celebration quiets.

Merlin moves beside the champion.

For several seconds, the four men stand beneath the divided light.

The crown of Camelot.

The authority of Olympus.

Zeus looks toward ‘Honest’ Abe.

Then toward Merlin.

Zeus: “The result was earned.”

The admission produces a surprised reaction from the crowd.

Ares turns toward him with visible anger.

Zeus does not look away from the champion.

Zeus: “The war is not ended.”

King Arthur places the Mythic Crown Championship across his shoulder.

King Arthur: “War does not end because one battle is won.”

He steps closer.

King Arthur: “It ends when the other side accepts order.”

The expression of Ares hardens.

He pushes himself upright.

Ares: “I accept nothing from kings.”

King Arthur: “Then you will continue losing to one.”

The crowd reacts loudly.

Ares steps forward.

Zeus places one hand against his chest.

The god of war stops, though every part of his posture resists the restraint.

Merlin watches Zeus carefully.

Zeus guides Ares toward the ropes.

Before leaving, Ares looks back toward King Arthur.

There is no acknowledgment of defeat.

Only the promise of another conflict.

Ares and Zeus leave the ring.

They begin walking up the ramp beneath the red light of Olympus.

Inside the ring, King Arthur stands beside Merlin.

The Mythic Crown Championship remains across his shoulder.

Julian Ward:King Arthur has defeated Ares after twelve minutes of direct and increasingly destructive exchanges. The champion survived the Neck Breakers, Backbreakers, Knee Lifts, and the Lightning Rod interference of Zeus.”

Brick Brody: “The interference gave Ares his best opening. It still was not enough. King Arthur hit two King’s Decrees and kept pulling Ares into that Clothesline until the god of war stayed down.”

Julian Ward: “The decisive moment came when Ares attempted another Over-the-Shoulder Backbreaker. King Arthur reversed the lift, secured the wrist, and delivered the Short-Arm Clothesline for the victory.”

Brick Brody: “The king issued a decree and then beat a god in the same ring. That will make the next man think before interrupting him.”

Julian Ward: “Or it may convince every faction named in that decree that the time has come to answer together. Tonight, order has survived its first test. The greater question is what King Arthur will require from this division in order to preserve it.”

King Arthur moves to the center of the ring.

He raises the Mythic Crown Championship above his head.

Behind him, the crest of Camelot fills the stage screen.

Merlin stands several feet away.

He applauds once.

Then stops.

His expression remains thoughtful rather than celebratory.

At the top of the ramp, Ares looks back.

Zeus speaks quietly to him.

The god of war turns away.

Inside the ring, King Arthur keeps the championship raised as blue-and-gold light spreads across the coliseum.

RESULT: KING ARTHUR DEFEATS ARES BY PINFALL AT THE 12-MINUTE MARK AFTER REVERSING THE OVER-THE-SHOULDER BACKBREAKER AND DELIVERING THE SHORT-ARM CLOTHESLINE.

12. CLOSING

The camera remains inside the ring.

Blue-and-gold light pours across Scrooge’s Camelot Coliseum as King Arthur stands near the center with the Mythic Crown Championship raised above his head.

At the top of the ramp, Ares and Zeus disappear behind the curtain.

The god of war has been defeated.

The king remains.

A few steps behind King Arthur, Merlin stands with both hands resting upon his staff. He watches the champion rather than the retreating forces of Olympus.

The expression of Merlin remains thoughtful.

Measured.

Concerned.

King Arthur lowers the championship onto his shoulder and looks around the arena.

Supporters of Camelot stand beneath raised blue banners.

Elsewhere, the reaction remains divided.

Some cheer the king who promised to restore order.

Others remember the warning offered by Merlin.

Order is not silence.

Loyalty is not the absence of questions.

At the commentary desk, Julian Ward turns toward Brick Brody.

Julian Ward: “The royal decree has survived its first test. King Arthur has defeated Ares, enduring the violence of the god of war and the interference of Zeus before securing victory with the Short-Arm Clothesline.”

Brick Brody: “The king said he would bring order to the Mythic Division. Then he beat the first man who came out to challenge him. That is a convincing opening argument.”

Julian Ward: “But tonight revealed how difficult that promise may become. Disorder has not emerged from one faction or one conflict. It surrounds nearly every championship, every court, and every alliance within this division.”

The stage screen changes.

The live image of King Arthur fades into highlights from the opening contest.

John Henry presses the Black Knight overhead.

Iron Collision throws the armored competitor across the ring.

The Black Knight returns with the Springboard 450 Splash.

Knight’s Fall drives John Henry face-first into the canvas.

The final Iron Collision ends the match.

On the ramp, Sandman watches.

Julian Ward: “Our evening began with John Henry overcoming one of the most physically unpredictable opponents in the division. The Black Knight brought power, aerial movement, repeated Powerbombs, and Knight’s Fall. John Henry endured all of it before securing victory after nineteen minutes.”

Brick Brody: “The Black Knight made one mistake. He kept returning within reach. Every time John Henry grabbed him, the armor landed harder.”

The footage changes.

Backstage, Hana Nakamura stands between John Henry and Sandman.

Blue sand rises around the hand of Sandman.

John Henry catches his wrist.

Alton Bell steps between them.

The words appear across the stage screen.

NEXT WEEK
JOHN HENRY VS SANDMAN

The crowd erupts.

Julian Ward: “The victory did not end the attention of Sandman. John Henry admitted that he has already been defeated twice by the dream walker.”

Brick Brody: “That was the most important thing John Henry said all night. He did not hide from those losses. He looked Sandman in the face and told him there would not be a third.”

Julian Ward:Alton Bell has made their third encounter official. Next week, John Henry and Sandman meet inside the ring.”

Brick Brody: “And after what Sandman did to Lion, John Henry should spend the next seven days drinking coffee.”

The screen shows Lion neutralizing the opening Spin Heel Kick.

One movement later, Sandman applies the Sleeper.

Lion struggles toward the ropes.

His resistance fades.

He submits.

Julian Ward:Lion appeared prepared for the movement of Sandman. He stopped the first attack and controlled the opening minute.”

Brick Brody: “Then he exposed his neck once.”

The image freezes on the Sleeper.

Brick Brody: “That was enough.”

Julian Ward:Sandman required only two minutes to secure victory. Next week, John Henry enters knowing that strength and endurance may not protect him if the Sleeper is applied.”

The stage screen becomes gold and bronze.

Rapunzel drives Athena down with the Pop-Up Samoan Drop.

Athena answers with Wisdom’s Wrath.

The Owl Wing Backbreaker bends Rapunzel across the knee.

The Oracle’s Curse produces a near fall.

Then the Cobra Clutch closes.

Athena submits.

At ringside, Zeus watches his daughter suffer her second consecutive defeat.

Julian Ward:Rapunzel earned one of the most significant victories of her career tonight. She endured every major weapon possessed by Athena, including Wisdom’s Wrath, the Owl Wing Backbreaker, the Oracle’s Curse, and the illegal Aegis Strike.”

Brick Brody: “And Rapunzel did not win through luck. She lifted Athena, bent her back, drove her down, and finally trapped her in the Cobra Clutch.”

The image shifts to Athena staring back at Rapunzel while Zeus places one hand upon her shoulder.

Julian Ward: “For Athena, the defeat creates a deeper question. One week ago, she fell to Lady Guinevere. Tonight, she submitted to Rapunzel.”

Brick Brody: “Two losses in two weeks. Wisdom should tell her something is wrong.”

The screen darkens into a snowy forest.

Snow White and Gretel appear together beneath their new name.

THE FAIREST HUNTERS

The crowd cheers again.

Highlights show Gretel throwing Hydra Veyne with the Half Nelson Suplex.

Snow White drives her down with Witch’s Justice.

The Kiss of Life folds Hydra Veyne into a bridge.

Then the momentum changes.

Medussa Nemesis traps Gretel in the Sharpshooter.

Petrify drives her head-first into the canvas.

The Monsters of Myth isolate her repeatedly.

The Diving Guillotine Leg Drop ends the match.

Julian Ward: “Tonight also marked the official debut of Snow White and Gretel as the Fairest Hunters.”

Brick Brody: “They looked dangerous whenever they were allowed to fight together.”

Julian Ward: “But the experience of the Monsters of Myth became decisive. Hydra Veyne and Medussa Nemesis, guided by Serpenta Veyne, isolated Gretel for most of the contest.”

Brick Brody: “That was not an elegant victory. It was effective. Keep Snow White on the apron, punish Gretel, and never allow the new team to settle.”

The footage shows Snow White helping Gretel stand after the match.

The applause of the crowd grows around them.

Julian Ward: “The debut ended in defeat, but it did not end the hunt.”

The stage screen changes.

Dark branches spread across a pale moon.

The face of Yurei Rinn appears on one side.

Gretel appears on the other.

NEXT WEEK
YUREI RINN VS GRETEL

Julian Ward: “Next week, Gretel competes in singles action against Yurei Rinn.”

Brick Brody: “That is a cruel assignment after the punishment Gretel endured tonight. Yurei Rinn does not need an opponent to be healthy. She prefers them damaged.”

Julian Ward: “It also places the newly formed Fairest Hunters directly across from a member of the Blood Oni Syndicate.”

Brick Brody: “A monster hunter against something that moves like a ghost. We will find out whether Gretel can strike what refuses to stand still.”

The screen becomes black and red.

A plain black mask appears.

The footage shows Hana Nakamura holding the mask in an evidence bag beside Taro Okami.

Raigen enters the interview area.

The question appears in text.

CAN TARO OKAMI BE TRUSTED?

Julian Ward: “Questions surrounding the black mask deepened tonight. Taro Okami denied that the mask discovered beside his equipment belonged to him.”

Brick Brody: “He gave a reasonable explanation. The Blood Oni Syndicate wanted to divide him from Raigen.”

Julian Ward: “Reasonable does not mean proven.”

The screen shows Raigen staring directly into the eyes of Taro Okami.

Raigen: “Can you be trusted?”

The answer follows.

Taro Okami: “Yes.”

Julian Ward:Raigen accepted the word of Taro Okami, but he did so with clear skepticism.”

Brick Brody: “That is how trust should work in professional wrestling. Believe the man just enough to keep him in front of you.”

The footage changes to the Eternal Flame Championship match.

Masa Tanenaga catches Raigen with the Pele Kick.

Raigen answers with the Front Kick and Abdominal Stretch.

The Armbar becomes a pinning combination.

The first fall belongs to the champion.

Then the second fall appears.

Masa Tanenaga lands another Pele Kick from the apron.

A masked man rises from the crowd.

The kendo stick crashes across the back of Masa Tanenaga.

The count reaches ten.

Julian Ward: “The first fall of the Eternal Flame Championship match was won cleanly by Raigen after the Armbar became a trapping pin.”

Brick Brody: “The second fall was stolen from Masa Tanenaga.”

Julian Ward: “Not by Raigen.”

Brick Brody: “No. But the champion benefited.”

The footage shows Masa Tanenaga speaking from beside the barricade.

Masa Tanenaga: “You received it.”

The stage screen then reveals Lord Kurogami, Kaen, and Enrai standing at the top of the ramp.

Julian Ward: “The masked attacker escaped into the crowd. Moments later, Lord Kurogami, Kaen, and Enrai appeared upon the stage.”

Brick Brody: “That does not prove they ordered the attack.”

Julian Ward: “It ensured that suspicion would turn toward them.”

Brick Brody: “Which may have been the point.”

The stage screen divides.

On one side, Taro Okami.

On the other, Kaen.

NEXT WEEK
TARO OKAMI VS KAEN

The crowd reacts loudly.

Julian Ward: “Next week, suspicion enters the ring. Taro Okami faces Kaen.”

Brick Brody: “That match may answer more than an interview ever could. Taro Okami says the Blood Oni Syndicate planted the mask to divide him from Raigen. Now he gets one of their most violent members face-to-face.”

Julian Ward: “A victory may strengthen the word of Taro Okami. Another masked intervention could destroy it.”

Brick Brody: “And Kaen will enjoy every second of the uncertainty.”

The screen changes to scales, claws, and ancient stone.

The Scalekeepers appear on one side.

Sir Agravaine and the Black Knight appear on the other.

NEXT WEEK
THE SCALEKEEPERS
VS
SIR AGRAVAINE & THE BLACK KNIGHT

Julian Ward: “The conflict surrounding the Broken Crown also continues next week. The Scalekeepers meet Sir Agravaine and the Black Knight.”

Brick Brody: “The Black Knight may have lost tonight, but he showed how dangerous he is. Add Sir Agravaine, and the Scalekeepers are walking into a fight against two men who believe brutality is loyalty.”

Julian Ward: “For Sir Agravaine, this is another opportunity to restore momentum after the defeat suffered by the Dread Knights against the Round Table last week.”

Brick Brody: “And for the Scalekeepers, it is a chance to prove that they can contain something darker than a dragon.”

The stage screen shifts to black stone and candlelight.

The crest of the Black Chapel appears.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne and Prioress Malveil stand beneath it.

Across from them appear Rapunzel and Holly Wood, the North Star Tag Team Champions, the Blonde Bombshells.

The championship belts burn between the teams.

NEXT WEEK
NORTH STAR TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
THE BLONDE BOMBSHELLS
VS
THE BLACK CHAPEL

The crowd erupts.

Julian Ward: “Next week will also feature championship competition. The North Star Tag Team Champions, the Blonde Bombshells, defend against the Black Chapel.”

Brick Brody:Rapunzel defeated Athena tonight, but singles success does not guarantee that the champions are prepared for Lady Isolde Blackthorne and Prioress Malveil.”

Julian Ward: “The Black Chapel has pursued influence through intimidation, ritual, and carefully chosen alliances. A championship victory would give that influence formal power.”

Brick Brody: “And those belts would look very different beneath cathedral light.”

The screen shows Rapunzel holding the Cobra Clutch on Athena.

Then Lady Isolde Blackthorne appears with a cold smile.

Prioress Malveil stands beside her.

Julian Ward: “The Blonde Bombshells represent unity, resilience, and public confidence. The Black Chapel represents secrecy, control, and judgment.”

Brick Brody: “That is a long way of saying the champions are walking into a bad neighborhood.”

The stage screen flashes blue and gold.

The crest of Camelot returns.

King Arthur stands on one side with the Mythic Crown Championship.

On the other appears Heracles.

A lion skin hangs across his shoulders.

A heavy club rests in one hand.

NEXT WEEK
KING ARTHUR VS HERACLES

The reaction is immediate.

Julian Ward: “One week after defeating Ares, King Arthur will face another legendary force of Olympus.”

Brick Brody: “Not merely another force. Heracles is one of the strongest beings in any realm.”

Julian Ward: “Tonight, the champion issued a decree promising to bring order to the Mythic Division. Ares answered through war.”

The image shows the final Short-Arm Clothesline.

Julian Ward: “Next week, that order will be tested by strength.”

Brick Brody: “The king can talk about monsters, syndicates, rogues, and false kingdoms. None of that will help when Heracles picks him up.”

Inside the ring, King Arthur looks toward the stage screen.

The image of Heracles remains opposite his own.

Merlin watches the graphic carefully.

King Arthur does not look surprised.

He gives one slow nod.

Julian Ward: “There has been no announcement that the Mythic Crown Championship will be at stake. But for King Arthur, the consequence may extend beyond any title defense.”

Brick Brody: “He has declared himself the source of order. Every loss now becomes an argument against the crown.”

The image changes one final time.

All six matches appear across the screen.

NEXT WEEK ON DARK FABLE

YUREI RINN VS GRETEL

TARO OKAMI VS KAEN

THE SCALEKEEPERS VS SIR AGRAVAINE & THE BLACK KNIGHT

KING ARTHUR VS HERACLES

JOHN HENRY VS SANDMAN

NORTH STAR TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
THE BLONDE BOMBSHELLS VS THE BLACK CHAPEL

The crowd responds to each match as its image moves forward.

Julian Ward: “Next week, Gretel begins the first singles hunt of her new alliance against Yurei Rinn.”

Brick Brody: “A wounded hunter against a ghost.”

Julian Ward:Taro Okami faces Kaen while the question of the black mask continues to threaten his alliance with Raigen.”

Brick Brody: “One of them wants to prove trust. The other wants to burn it.”

Julian Ward: “The Scalekeepers meet Sir Agravaine and the Black Knight.”

Brick Brody: “Armor, scales, and very little interest in restraint.”

Julian Ward:King Arthur faces Heracles one week after defeating Ares.”

Brick Brody: “War failed. Now strength gets its turn.”

Julian Ward:John Henry attempts to end the dominance of Sandman in their third encounter.”

Brick Brody: “Two matches belong to Sandman. John Henry has promised the third will not.”

Julian Ward: “And the North Star Tag Team Championship will be defended as the Blonde Bombshells meet the Black Chapel.”

Brick Brody: “The champions bring the light. The challengers plan to bury it.”

The match graphics disappear.

The live image returns to the ring.

King Arthur stands beneath the crest of Camelot.

The Mythic Crown Championship rests across his shoulder.

Merlin approaches him.

The ancient wizard speaks quietly.

The arena microphones cannot capture the words.

King Arthur listens.

For a moment, his expression hardens.

Then he looks toward the entranceway through which Ares and Zeus departed.

Merlin places one hand upon his staff.

King Arthur places one hand upon the center plate of the championship.

Julian Ward: “Tonight, King Arthur promised order.”

The camera moves closer.

Julian Ward:John Henry promised that a third defeat would not come.”

The image briefly cuts to the bent steel rail backstage.

Julian Ward:Taro Okami promised that his word could be trusted.”

The black mask fills the screen.

Julian Ward:Raigen retained the Eternal Flame Championship, but victory carried the stain of an attack he did not see.”

The kendo stick falls across the back of Masa Tanenaga.

Julian Ward: “The Fairest Hunters began their pursuit.”

Snow White helps Gretel stand.

Julian Ward:Rapunzel overcame a warrior of Olympus.”

Athena submits inside the Cobra Clutch.

Julian Ward: “And Sandman reminded every competitor in this division that even great strength eventually closes its eyes.”

The face of Sandman appears beneath falling blue sand.

The camera returns to King Arthur.

Brick Brody: “Everybody made promises tonight.”

Julian Ward: “Yes.”

Brick Brody: “Next week, we find out which promises survive contact.”

A final ceremonial bell sounds.

King Arthur raises the Mythic Crown Championship one more time.

The crowd responds with cheers, boos, and competing chants.

Merlin remains beside him.

He does not raise the champion’s hand.

He does not leave.

He simply watches.

The crest of Camelot burns blue and gold behind them.

Julian Ward: “For Brick Brody, Hana Nakamura, Louie Linville, and everyone inside Scrooge’s Camelot Coliseum, I am Julian Ward.”

Brick Brody: “The king has his order.”

A faint roll of thunder sounds beyond the arena.

Brick Brody: “Now let us see who refuses it.”

Julian Ward: “Good night from Dark Fable.”

The camera pulls back.

King Arthur stands at the center of the ring with the championship raised.

Merlin stands in the shadow behind the throne.

The image slowly fades to black.
