Aired - August 23, 2026
The broadcast returns live to Scrooge's Glacier Plex.
Above the ring hangs the NPCW Queen of the North Championship.
Not yet suspended for the potential third fall, but displayed prominently above the entrance aisle as the arena crew finishes preparing several ladders around ringside and places a heavy steel chain beside the timekeeper.
The structure of this championship match is unlike anything else on tonight's card.
Fall One will be contested under standard rules.
Fall Two will be a Russian Chain Match.
If a third fall is required, the Queen of the North Championship will be suspended above the ring and decided in a Ladder Match.
Referee Honest Abe stands in the ring.
At commentary, Johnny Michaels looks toward the championship.
Johnny Michaels: “This may be the most physically demanding championship match on the entire Fallout card. Three potential matches. Three completely different environments. And the woman who leaves with the Queen of the North Championship may have to survive all three.”
Eddie Ellington: “Which is why I like Lilith.”
Johnny Michaels: “That did not take long.”
Eddie Ellington: “Look at the stipulations. A straight wrestling match, then a chain, then ladders if we need them. Lilith can hurt you three different ways before breakfast.”
Johnny Michaels: “You are overlooking the reigning champion.”
Eddie Ellington: “I'm not overlooking Crimson Vane. I'm predicting her future.”
The lights dim.
Dark red illumination spreads across the stage.
Count Vlad emerges first.
The response from the Glacier Plex is immediate.
He stands beneath the entrance arch, composed and unmoved by the hostility.
Then Lilith steps through the curtain.
The challenger wears dark ring gear accented in deep crimson.
She stops beside Count Vlad and looks upward toward the image of the Queen of the North Championship.
Eddie Ellington: “There she is.”
Johnny Michaels: “A former Queen of the North Champion herself, and tonight Lilith has the opportunity to reclaim that championship.”
Eddie Ellington: “Reclaim? She has the opportunity to make history.”
Johnny Michaels: “If Lilith wins tonight, she becomes the first three-time Queen of the North Champion.”
Eddie Ellington: “Exactly. That's why you don't talk to me about pressure. She knows what this title feels like. She knows how to win it.”
Lilith and Count Vlad begin their walk down the aisle.
Lilith never looks toward the fans.
She climbs onto the apron and enters the ring.
Count Vlad remains on the floor.
The challenger walks directly beneath the championship display and looks upward.
Then the lighting changes.
Deep crimson gives way to moonlit silver.
The crowd rises.
The reigning champion steps through the entrance.
Crimson Vane.
The Queen of the North Championship is fastened around her waist.
The champion pauses at the top of the ramp and studies Lilith inside the ring.
Then she looks toward Count Vlad.
Her expression hardens.
Johnny Michaels: “The champion understands that this is not simply Lilith tonight. Count Vlad is at ringside.”
Eddie Ellington: “He's a manager, Johnny.”
Johnny Michaels: “We've already seen what managers are willing to do tonight.”
Eddie Ellington: “You have such a suspicious nature.”
Crimson Vane walks down the aisle.
She reaches ringside and stops several feet from Count Vlad.
Neither says anything.
The champion enters.
Lilith steps forward.
Honest Abe immediately separates them.
Celeste Orion moves to the center.
Celeste Orion: “Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is a TWO OUT OF THREE FALLS MATCH and is for the NPCW QUEEN OF THE NORTH CHAMPIONSHIP!”
The crowd erupts.
Celeste Orion: “Fall One will be contested under standard rules.”
She gestures toward the chain.
Celeste Orion: “Fall Two will be a RUSSIAN CHAIN MATCH.”
The reaction rises.
Celeste Orion: “And if a third fall is required, the Queen of the North Championship will be suspended above the ring and the deciding fall will be a LADDER MATCH!”
The Glacier Plex explodes.
Celeste Orion turns toward the challenger.
Celeste Orion: “Introducing first, accompanied by COUNT VLAD... the challenger... LILITH!”
Lilith raises one arm.
Count Vlad applauds from the floor.
Celeste Orion turns.
Celeste Orion: “And her opponent... she is the reigning and defending NPCW QUEEN OF THE NORTH CHAMPION... CRIMSON VANE!”
Crimson Vane removes the championship.
She raises it high.
The audience roars.
Honest Abe takes the title and holds it between the two women.
Lilith reaches toward it.
Crimson Vane does not break eye contact.
The championship is handed outside.
The competitors move to opposite corners.
The bell rings.
Minute 1
Crimson Vane attacks immediately, catching Lilith and launching her with the Hunter's Backbreaker Suplex, the Saito suplex sending the challenger hard onto her shoulders.
Lilith rolls through the impact, regains her feet and answers with a running big boot that catches the champion high.
Johnny Michaels: “Fast opening. Both women land heavily in the first minute.”
Eddie Ellington: “And Lilith gets hit with that suplex and comes right back with a boot. That's what championship experience looks like.”
Minute 2
Crimson Vane catches Lilith's arm and takes her down.
The champion traps her in the Snare of Silence, wrenching backward with the arm-trap crossface.
Lilith refuses to submit.
She crawls toward the ropes and gradually forces Crimson Vane to release.
Johnny Michaels: “Early submission attempt from the champion.”
Eddie Ellington: “Too early. Lilith isn't giving up two minutes into a match where history is waiting for her.”
Minute 3
Crimson Vane stays aggressive.
She catches Lilith near the ropes and plants her with the Crimson Thornplant DDT.
Lilith absorbs the impact and rolls away before the champion can secure a cover.
Johnny Michaels: “The champion is controlling the early tempo.”
Eddie Ellington: “Let her. Lilith isn't trying to win the first three minutes. She's trying to win two falls.”
Minute 4
Lilith changes the momentum.
She gets underneath Crimson Vane and drives her over with a vertical suplex.
The champion lands hard.
Lilith rises first.
Johnny Michaels: “There's the first sustained response from Lilith.”
Eddie Ellington: “Exactly. Calm. No panic. Pick the champion up and put her down.”
Minute 5
Lilith measures the champion.
Crimson Vane gets upright.
Lilith fires the Dread Kick.
The superkick catches Crimson Vane flush and knocks her backward.
Johnny Michaels: “Huge Dread Kick!”
Eddie Ellington: “That's the sound of a title reign getting shorter.”
Minute 6
Lilith stays on the champion.
She catches Crimson Vane from behind and drives her into the canvas with the Abyssal Slam.
Crimson Vane rolls toward the ropes.
Johnny Michaels: “Three consecutive minutes controlled by the challenger.”
Eddie Ellington: “Because Lilith has figured out the rhythm.”
Minute 7
Crimson Vane recovers before Lilith can press further.
The champion springs upward and catches Lilith with the Moonfang Kick.
The Pele kick knocks the challenger sideways.
Johnny Michaels: “Excellent counterattack by Crimson Vane.”
Eddie Ellington: “One kick doesn't change the match.”
Minute 8
Crimson Vane doubles down.
As Lilith rises, the champion strikes with another Moonfang Kick.
Lilith again takes the full impact.
Johnny Michaels: “Two consecutive Moonfang Kicks.”
Eddie Ellington: “All right. Two kicks are slightly more concerning.”
Minute 9
Lilith catches Crimson Vane during the champion's next approach.
The challenger traps her in the Demon's Embrace.
Crimson Vane struggles against the Code of Silence.
Honest Abe asks for the submission.
The champion refuses.
Johnny Michaels: “Now Lilith has her submission.”
Eddie Ellington: “And unlike the champion's hold, this one is going to stay in Crimson Vane's head.”
Minute 10
Crimson Vane forces her way free.
She catches Lilith with the Banshee Claw, driving a European uppercut into the challenger.
Lilith responds by trapping the champion's torso in the Infernal Embrace bodyscissors.
Crimson Vane works her way free.
Johnny Michaels: “The physicality is escalating rapidly.”
Eddie Ellington: “Good. That's where Lilith wants it.”
Minute 11
Crimson Vane catches the challenger and drives her down with the Witchwood Drop Death Valley Driver.
Lilith absorbs the landing and answers by throwing Crimson Vane with another vertical suplex.
Both women stay down briefly.
Johnny Michaels: “Neither can establish lasting control.”
Eddie Ellington: “Which favors the challenger. The longer this goes, the more chances Lilith gets.”
Minute 12
Crimson Vane lands another Banshee Claw.
Lilith answers with the Atomic Drop to Hell.
The champion staggers forward.
Johnny Michaels: “Another even exchange.”
Eddie Ellington: “Except Lilith keeps answering everything the champion does.”
Minute 13
Crimson Vane lands another European uppercut.
Lilith absorbs it and sends the champion overhead with another vertical suplex.
Johnny Michaels: “The challenger continues attacking the champion's back.”
Eddie Ellington: “Smart. There is still a chain match and possibly a ladder match ahead.”
Minute 14
Crimson Vane catches Lilith with another Moonfang Kick.
The challenger rebounds and answers with a running big boot.
Lilith drops into the cover.
One! Two!
Crimson Vane kicks out.
Johnny Michaels: “First serious cover of the match.”
Eddie Ellington: “Two-count. We're getting closer.”
Minute 15
Crimson Vane catches Lilith as she rises.
The champion drives the Banshee Claw into her jaw.
Lilith falls backward.
Johnny Michaels: “The champion refuses to let Lilith build on the near fall.”
Eddie Ellington: “Enjoy the uppercuts now. They won't help when the chain comes out.”
Minute 16
Crimson Vane hoists Lilith and drives her down with another Witchwood Drop.
Lilith reacts almost instantly.
The challenger rises and catches Crimson Vane with another Dread Kick.
Both women fall.
Johnny Michaels: “What a collision of major offense.”
Eddie Ellington: “And Lilith still has that superkick whenever she needs it.”
Minute 17
Crimson Vane attempts the Blood Moon Descent.
Lilith recognizes the cartwheel knee drop and rolls clear.
The champion finds nothing but canvas.
Johnny Michaels: “Great defensive read by Lilith.”
Eddie Ellington: “Exactly. She has studied the champion.”
Minute 18
Crimson Vane catches Lilith and drives her down with the Witchwood Drop again.
But when the champion tries to follow up, Lilith traps her in another Demon's Embrace.
Crimson Vane refuses to submit.
Johnny Michaels: “The challenger continues returning to that hold.”
Eddie Ellington: “Because every time she does, the champion has to spend energy escaping.”
Minute 19
Crimson Vane powers free.
She catches Lilith and sends her over with the Hunter's Backbreaker Suplex.
Lilith rises into position and fires another Dread Kick.
Both competitors collapse.
Johnny Michaels: “Nineteen minutes and both women are already showing the effects.”
Eddie Ellington: “And we haven't even reached the chain.”
Minute 20
Crimson Vane reaches her feet first.
She grabs Lilith and throws her with another Hunter's Backbreaker Suplex.
The champion turns toward the challenger.
At ringside, Count Vlad moves.
He reaches into his coat.
Johnny Michaels: “Watch Count Vlad!”
The Transylvania Spike appears in his hand.
As Honest Abe moves around Lilith to check her position, Count Vlad reaches through the ropes.
He drives the Transylvania Spike into Crimson Vane.
The champion jolts.
She drops.
Johnny Michaels: “VLAD HIT THE CHAMPION!”
Eddie Ellington: “I didn't see anything.”
Johnny Michaels: “You saw exactly what happened!”
Lilith sees the opening.
She covers Crimson Vane.
One!
Two!
Three!
The bell rings.
Celeste Orion: “The winner of the first fall... LILITH!”
The crowd boos loudly.
Lilith sits upright.
Count Vlad calmly puts the object away.
Johnny Michaels: “That fall was stolen.”
Eddie Ellington: “A fall is a fall.”
Johnny Michaels: “Count Vlad hit Crimson Vane with the Transylvania Spike!”
Eddie Ellington: “The referee counted three. That's the part they print.”
LILITH WINS FALL ONE VIA PINFALL AT THE 20:00 MINUTE MARK.
Officials enter with the heavy steel chain.
Crimson Vane sits against the ropes, still holding the area where Count Vlad struck her.
She looks through the ropes at him.
Count Vlad smiles faintly.
Lilith extends one wrist.
The chain is attached.
Crimson Vane rises.
The other end is fastened to her wrist.
Honest Abe checks both restraints.
The bell rings for the second fall.
Minute 21
The chain immediately changes everything.
Crimson Vane jerks Lilith toward her and throws her with another Hunter's Backbreaker Suplex.
Lilith uses the chain's momentum to spin around the champion and catches her with the Dark Whirlwind tilt-a-whirl headscissors.
Both women hit hard.
Johnny Michaels: “The chain has completely altered their movement.”
Eddie Ellington: “And Lilith adjusted instantly.”
Minute 22
Count Vlad shouts toward Lilith from ringside.
He urges her to remain patient and reminds her she already owns the first fall.
Lilith wraps the chain around her forearm while Crimson Vane keeps distance.
Johnny Michaels: “Count Vlad is telling Lilith not to rush.”
Eddie Ellington: “Good advice. Crimson Vane has to win this fall. Lilith doesn't have to chase her.”
Minute 23
Count Vlad continues directing the challenger.
Crimson Vane tests the length of the chain.
Lilith braces.
Neither woman commits fully.
Johnny Michaels: “A rare tactical pause.”
Eddie Ellington: “This is chess with a steel chain.”
Minute 24
Crimson Vane suddenly catches Lilith's arm and tries to apply Vane's Vice.
Lilith reverses.
She twists through the Fujiwara armbar attempt and traps Crimson Vane in the Demon's Embrace.
The champion strains against the hold.
Johnny Michaels: “Excellent reversal by Lilith.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's why she's winning this match.”
Minute 25
Crimson Vane escapes.
She uses the chain to pull Lilith forward and catches her.
Witchwood Drop.
Lilith is driven into the canvas.
Johnny Michaels: “Huge Death Valley Driver by the champion.”
Eddie Ellington: “Fine. But she still has to touch four corners.”
Minute 26
Crimson Vane attacks the arm.
She applies Vane's Vice successfully this time.
Lilith struggles against the Fujiwara armbar.
The chain rattles between them.
Johnny Michaels: “The champion is trying to weaken the arm attached to that chain.”
Eddie Ellington: “Smart, but submissions do not win this fall.”
Minute 27
Crimson Vane pulls Lilith in and throws her with another Hunter's Backbreaker Suplex.
Lilith rises and fires the Dread Kick.
Both women collapse again.
Johnny Michaels: “Another brutal exchange.”
Eddie Ellington: “They are going to have nothing left if we reach the ladder.”
Minute 28
Crimson Vane pulls Lilith forward by the chain.
The champion hooks her head.
Crimson Thornplant.
Lilith is planted with the DDT.
Johnny Michaels: “The chain actually helped Crimson Vane create that opening.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's the danger of being physically linked to someone.”
Minute 29
Crimson Vane catches Lilith with another Crimson Thornplant.
The challenger absorbs it and answers with the Abyssal Slam.
Both women remain down.
Johnny Michaels: “Neither can pull away from the other.”
Eddie Ellington: “Literally.”
Minute 30
Crimson Vane grabs the chain with both hands.
She lashes it across Lilith's body.
The challenger recoils.
Lilith responds by trapping Crimson Vane in the Infernal Embrace bodyscissors.
Johnny Michaels: “Now the chain itself becomes a weapon.”
Eddie Ellington: “It's a chain match, Johnny. What did you expect, decorative metalwork?”
Minute 31
Crimson Vane gets loose and strikes again with the chain.
This time she uses it repeatedly, forcing Lilith backward.
The champion begins moving.
First corner.
Crimson Vane touches it.
She pulls Lilith behind her.
Second corner.
Touched.
Lilith fights the chain.
Third corner.
Crimson Vane reaches it.
The crowd rises.
Johnny Michaels: “Three corners!”
Eddie Ellington: “Stop her!”
Lilith plants her feet and yanks backward.
The champion is pulled away before she can reach the fourth.
Johnny Michaels: “Lilith saves the fall!”
Minute 32
Crimson Vane turns and catches Lilith with another Crimson Thornplant.
Lilith answers with the Abyssal Slam.
Neither woman can maintain control.
Eddie Ellington: “That fourth corner may haunt Crimson Vane.”
Johnny Michaels: “She came within one touch of tying this match.”
Minute 33
Crimson Vane springs upward with the Moonfang Kick.
Lilith absorbs the strike and catches the champion in the Infernal Embrace.
The chain lies tangled between them.
Johnny Michaels: “The exhaustion is becoming obvious.”
Eddie Ellington: “And Lilith only needs one more fall. Remember that.”
Minute 34
Crimson Vane grabs the chain.
She wraps part of it around her fist and mauls Lilith with repeated chain-assisted strikes.
Lilith drops toward the canvas.
Johnny Michaels: “The champion is becoming increasingly desperate.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's because she's losing.”
Minute 35
Crimson Vane releases the chain and hits the Blood Moon Descent.
Lilith manages to answer by lifting the champion into a vertical suplex.
Both women hit the mat.
Johnny Michaels: “Somehow they are still producing major offense.”
Eddie Ellington: “They're running on instinct now.”
Minute 36
Crimson Vane gets to the chain first.
She pulls Lilith forward and strikes again.
The challenger falls.
Crimson Vane immediately starts moving.
First corner.
Touched.
Lilith is dragged behind her.
Second corner.
Touched.
The crowd rises.
Third corner.
Touched.
Lilith digs her heels into the canvas.
Crimson Vane pulls.
The chain goes taut.
The champion dives.
Fourth corner!
Crimson Vane touches it.
The bell rings.
The Glacier Plex erupts.
Celeste Orion: “The winner of the second fall... CRIMSON VANE!”
Johnny Michaels: “We're tied!”
Eddie Ellington: “Oh, no.”
Johnny Michaels: “One fall apiece!”
CRIMSON VANE WINS FALL TWO BY TOUCHING ALL FOUR CORNERS AT THE 36:00 MINUTE MARK.
Officials immediately enter.
The chain is removed.
Both women are exhausted.
Crimson Vane lies against one turnbuckle.
Lilith sits against another.
Above them, the rigging begins to move.
The Queen of the North Championship is lowered over the ring.
Honest Abe takes the belt.
He fastens it to the overhead hook.
The championship begins rising.
Higher.
Higher.
Until it hangs above the center of the ring.
Crew members position ladders around ringside.
Johnny Michaels: “Thirty-six minutes have brought us here. Everything is tied. No pinfalls. No submissions. The first woman to climb a ladder and retrieve that championship leaves Fallout as Queen of the North.”
Eddie Ellington: “And becomes the first three-time champion if that woman is Lilith.”
Honest Abe checks both competitors.
The bell rings.
Minute 37
Crimson Vane strikes first.
She catches Lilith with another Crimson Thornplant.
Lilith answers by wrapping her legs around the champion in the Infernal Embrace.
Both release and begin looking toward the ladders.
Johnny Michaels: “The third fall begins exactly where the second ended. No hesitation.”
Eddie Ellington: “Forget the holds. Get a ladder.”
Minute 38
Crimson Vane retrieves the first ladder.
She slides it into the ring.
Lilith tries to intercept.
Crimson Vane catches her and suplexes Lilith directly onto the ladder.
The metal buckles under the impact.
Lilith rolls away and somehow rises quickly enough to fire another Dread Kick.
Johnny Michaels: “Suplex onto the ladder!”
Eddie Ellington: “And Lilith still answers!”
Minute 39
Crimson Vane catches Lilith with a Moonfang Kick.
The challenger responds with another vertical suplex.
The ladder lies open beside them.
Johnny Michaels: “Neither woman has even managed to climb yet.”
Eddie Ellington: “Because every time one gets space, the other takes it away.”
Minute 40
Lilith gets upright first.
Crimson Vane tries to intercept.
The challenger fires the Dread Kick.
The superkick drops the champion.
Lilith looks toward the ladder.
Johnny Michaels: “This may be the opening.”
Eddie Ellington: “Go! Climb!”
Minute 41
Lilith starts toward the ladder.
Crimson Vane grabs her from behind.
The champion drives her down with another Crimson Thornplant.
Lilith catches Crimson Vane on the ground and traps her in the Infernal Embrace.
Johnny Michaels: “Neither will let the other build enough separation.”
Eddie Ellington: “At some point one of them has to stay down.”
Minute 42
Crimson Vane catches Lilith and applies the Snare of Silence.
The challenger refuses to surrender, although submission cannot end the fall.
Lilith twists free and counters with the Dark Whirlwind.
Johnny Michaels: “The champion is using the crossface not to win but to damage Lilith.”
Eddie Ellington: “Exactly. Hurt her arm so she can't climb.”
Minute 43
Lilith catches Crimson Vane during another scramble.
The Demon's Embrace is applied again.
Crimson Vane struggles out.
Both women glance toward the championship overhead.
Johnny Michaels: “Every second matters now.”
Eddie Ellington: “And Lilith is closer to making history.”
Minute 44
Crimson Vane attempts Vane's Vice.
Lilith powers out and catches her.
Abyssal Slam.
The champion crashes beside the ladder.
Johnny Michaels: “Abyssal Slam!”
Eddie Ellington: “Now climb!”
Minute 45
Lilith rises.
Crimson Vane somehow gets up as well.
Lilith fires another Dread Kick.
The champion falls backward against the ropes.
Eddie Ellington: “This is it!”
Johnny Michaels: “Lilith has created space!”
Minute 46
Crimson Vane lunges before Lilith can climb.
She catches the challenger with the Widow's Howl axe kick.
Lilith collapses.
As Crimson Vane reaches for the ladder, Lilith gets underneath her and throws her with another vertical suplex.
Johnny Michaels: “Neither woman will stay down!”
Eddie Ellington: “This is becoming ridiculous.”
Minute 47
Crimson Vane attempts another Widow's Howl.
Lilith tries to counter into the Demonic Crunch facebuster.
The two collide awkwardly.
Neither completes the move cleanly.
Both fall.
Johnny Michaels: “Both women had the same idea and neither could finish it.”
Eddie Ellington: “They're exhausted, Johnny. Forty-seven minutes.”
Minute 48
Crimson Vane tries the Crimson Thornplant.
Lilith reverses.
She attempts a vertical suplex.
Crimson Vane reverses that.
The champion tries the Witchwood Drop.
Lilith blocks it.
The sequence ends with both women stumbling apart.
The crowd applauds.
Johnny Michaels: “Counter after counter after counter.”
Eddie Ellington: “They know each other too well now.”
Minute 49
Crimson Vane catches Lilith with the Moonfang Kick.
Lilith recovers and drives the champion down with another Abyssal Slam.
Both stay down.
Johnny Michaels: “Forty-nine minutes.”
Eddie Ellington: “And history is still hanging above them.”
Minute 50
Crimson Vane traps Lilith in Vane's Vice.
The challenger fights free and answers with another Abyssal Slam.
The champion's back crashes into the canvas.
Johnny Michaels: “The punishment to Crimson Vane's back is accumulating.”
Eddie Ellington: “Which matters every time she tries to climb.”
Minute 51
Crimson Vane catches Lilith with another Crimson Thornplant.
The challenger answers on the ground with another Infernal Embrace.
The ladder remains unattended.
Johnny Michaels: “Neither competitor has enough sustained control.”
Eddie Ellington: “One mistake. That's all this needs.”
Minute 52
Crimson Vane drives Lilith down with another Crimson Thornplant.
The challenger rolls through and throws the champion with a vertical suplex.
Both women collapse beside the ladder.
Johnny Michaels: “Fifty-two minutes.”
Eddie Ellington: “Get up, Lilith.”
Johnny Michaels: “Both women are barely moving.”
Outside the ring, Count Vlad watches.
His hand moves toward his coat.
Minute 53
Crimson Vane reaches one knee.
Then her feet.
Lilith remains down.
The crowd rises.
Crimson Vane reaches for the ladder.
She drags it toward the center of the ring.
Johnny Michaels: “The champion has the ladder!”
Eddie Ellington: “Lilith, move!”
Crimson Vane opens the ladder beneath the championship.
She puts one foot on the first rung.
Then another.
Count Vlad moves around ringside.
Johnny Michaels: “Watch Vlad!”
Crimson Vane climbs.
One rung.
Another.
Lilith is still on the canvas.
Crimson Vane reaches higher.
Her fingertips are nearing the championship.
Then Count Vlad climbs onto the apron.
The Transylvania Spike appears again.
Johnny Michaels: “NO!”
Count Vlad reaches across.
He drives the Transylvania Spike into Crimson Vane.
The champion freezes.
Her grip slips.
Crimson Vane falls backward from the ladder and crashes into the canvas.
The Glacier Plex erupts in fury.
Johnny Michaels: “COUNT VLAD JUST COST HER THE CHAMPIONSHIP!”
Eddie Ellington: “Lilith! GET UP!”
Lilith opens her eyes.
She sees Crimson Vane down.
She sees the ladder.
She sees the championship.
Count Vlad points upward.
Lilith crawls.
She reaches the ladder.
Pulls herself upright.
Johnny Michaels: “Not like this!”
Eddie Ellington: “History doesn't ask how!”
Lilith climbs.
First rung.
Second.
Third.
The crowd boos louder with every step.
Crimson Vane tries to move.
She cannot reach the ladder.
Lilith continues upward.
She reaches the top.
Her hand touches the championship.
Johnny Michaels: “Crimson Vane is trying to get up!”
Lilith unhooks the belt.
The bell rings.
The arena erupts in boos.
Lilith sits atop the ladder.
The Queen of the North Championship rests in her hands.
Eddie Ellington: “THREE TIMES!”
Johnny Michaels: “With a tremendous assist from Count Vlad!”
Eddie Ellington: “FIRST THREE-TIME QUEEN OF THE NORTH CHAMPION!”
Johnny Michaels: “History has been made, but the circumstances are going to be debated for a long time.”
LILITH DEFEATS CRIMSON VANE TWO FALLS TO ONE, WINNING THE DECIDING LADDER MATCH FALL AT THE 53:00 MINUTE MARK TO BECOME QUEEN OF THE NORTH CHAMPION.
Celeste Orion: “Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of the third and deciding fall... and NEEEEW NPCW QUEEN OF THE NORTH CHAMPION... LILITH!”
Lilith raises the championship above her head from the top of the ladder.
Count Vlad stands below her.
For the first time tonight, his composure gives way to visible satisfaction.
Johnny Michaels: “History has indeed been made. Lilith is now the first woman to hold the Queen of the North Championship three times.”
Eddie Ellington: “Three-time champion! You can complain about Count Vlad until sunrise. That record is permanent.”
Lilith climbs down slowly.
The moment her boots touch the canvas, Count Vlad enters the ring.
He takes Lilith's wrist and raises her arm.
Lilith clutches the championship against her chest.
Then she raises it again.
Triumphantly.
The boos rain down.
Across the ring, Crimson Vane pushes herself onto one knee.
Her eyes are not on Lilith.
They are on Count Vlad.
Johnny Michaels: “Look at Crimson Vane.”
Eddie Ellington: “She should leave.”
Johnny Michaels: “She knows exactly why she lost that championship.”
Crimson Vane rises.
Count Vlad sees her coming.
The former champion lunges.
Crimson Vane drives straight toward Count Vlad.
Lilith is still holding the championship when Count Vlad retreats toward the ropes.
Johnny Michaels: “Crimson Vane is going after Count Vlad!”
Eddie Ellington: “This match is over!”
Johnny Michaels: “He interfered in two separate falls!”
Crimson Vane reaches for him.
Count Vlad slips through the ropes to the floor.
Crimson Vane steps toward the ropes, shouting after him.
Her focus is completely on Count Vlad.
Behind her—
A figure slides into the ring.
Emberlyn Black.
The crowd reacts.
Johnny Michaels: “WAIT! EMBERLYN BLACK!”
Crimson Vane turns too late.
Emberlyn Black attacks.
She drives Crimson Vane forward with a hard strike from behind.
The former champion crashes to the canvas.
Eddie Ellington: “Where did she come from?”
Johnny Michaels: “Emberlyn Black just attacked Crimson Vane!”
Emberlyn Black stands over her.
At ringside, Count Vlad watches.
Lilith, still exhausted, uses the ropes to pull herself toward one corner while clutching the championship.
Then another woman enters.
Velora Synn.
The reaction rises again.
Johnny Michaels: “And now Velora Synn!”
Eddie Ellington: “What is this?”
Velora Synn steps through the ropes.
She moves directly toward Emberlyn Black.
The two women stop.
Face to face.
Neither backs away.
Johnny Michaels: “Emberlyn Black and Velora Synn are staring each other down.”
Eddie Ellington: “I don't know if they're together or if we're about to get another fight.”
Emberlyn Black looks at Velora Synn.
Velora Synn looks back.
Behind them, Lilith begins pushing herself upright.
The newly crowned champion gets to one knee.
Both women hear her.
Emberlyn Black turns.
Velora Synn turns with her.
Lilith rises.
She looks at them.
For one second, the new champion appears uncertain.
Then—
Emberlyn Black punches Lilith.
At the exact same moment, Velora Synn punches her from the opposite side.
Lilith crumples.
The championship falls from her hands.
The crowd erupts.
Johnny Michaels: “THEY JUST HIT LILITH!”
Eddie Ellington: “HEY! SHE JUST WON THAT TITLE!”
Johnny Michaels: “Emberlyn Black and Velora Synn have turned on the new champion!”
Eddie Ellington: “Turned? When were they with her?”
Lilith lies beside the championship.
Emberlyn Black looks down.
She grabs the new champion.
Velora Synn watches.
Emberlyn Black pulls Lilith upright.
She positions her directly over the Queen of the North Championship lying on the canvas.
Johnny Michaels: “No, no!”
Emberlyn Black hooks both arms.
She jumps.
PEDIGREE!
Lilith's face and upper body crash down onto the championship belt.
The Glacier Plex explodes.
Eddie Ellington: “SOMEBODY GET THEM OUT OF THERE!”
Johnny Michaels: “Emberlyn Black just drove the new Queen of the North Champion onto her own title!”
Lilith rolls onto her side.
She is motionless.
Emberlyn Black rises.
She looks toward Velora Synn.
For another tense moment, the two women stare at one another.
Then Velora Synn bends down.
She picks up the Queen of the North Championship.
The crowd grows louder.
Eddie Ellington: “That isn't hers!”
Johnny Michaels: “No, it belongs to Lilith!”
Velora Synn examines the championship.
Then she raises it high over her head.
Emberlyn Black looks up at the belt.
On the canvas beneath them lies the new champion.
Nearby, Crimson Vane is pulling herself back to her feet.
Outside the ring, Count Vlad's expression has changed completely.
The satisfaction is gone.
Johnny Michaels: “What a picture this is! Lilith just became the first three-time Queen of the North Champion, and already two women have made their intentions unmistakable!”
Eddie Ellington: “Give her the belt!”
Velora Synn looks down at Lilith.
Then at the championship.
She lets it fall.
The Queen of the North Championship crashes onto Lilith's body.
Velora Synn takes one step backward.
Emberlyn Black stands beside her.
Neither woman celebrates.
Neither woman says a word.
They simply look down at Lilith.
Johnny Michaels: “That message could not be clearer.”
Eddie Ellington: “Clear? I've got three different problems here! Crimson Vane wants Count Vlad. Emberlyn Black attacked Crimson Vane. Then she and Velora Synn flattened my new champion!”
Johnny Michaels: “For once, your summary is accurate.”
Crimson Vane gets fully upright.
She looks at Emberlyn Black.
Emberlyn turns toward her.
Then Crimson Vane looks past her toward Count Vlad.
The former champion points directly at him.
Count Vlad does not move.
Johnny Michaels: “And Crimson Vane has not forgotten who cost her that championship.”
Eddie Ellington: “She lost. She needs to accept it.”
Johnny Michaels: “He struck her with the Transylvania Spike in the first fall and again in the deciding fall.”
Eddie Ellington: “Technicalities.”
Johnny Michaels: “Those are considerably more than technicalities.”
Officials begin entering the ring.
Emberlyn Black backs toward one set of ropes.
Velora Synn backs toward another.
They leave separately.
Neither looks at the other again.
Count Vlad enters only after several officials stand between him and Crimson Vane.
He moves toward Lilith.
The new champion is slowly beginning to stir.
Count Vlad retrieves the Queen of the North Championship and places it beside her.
Johnny Michaels: “The history books will say Lilith became the first three-time Queen of the North Champion tonight.”
Eddie Ellington: “As they should.”
Johnny Michaels: “But before she could even leave the ring with the championship, Emberlyn Black and Velora Synn made it clear that holding that title has placed an enormous target on her.”
Eddie Ellington: “And what about Crimson Vane?”
Johnny Michaels: “I believe Count Vlad has placed an equally large target on himself.”
The camera catches Crimson Vane standing behind several officials.
She points at Count Vlad one final time.
Then at the fallen Lilith.
Count Vlad stares back.
On the canvas, Lilith grips the championship.
Her historic third reign has begun.
And she has already been left lying beneath the belt.
The Fallout 2026 logo sweeps across the screen.
The broadcast returns to a wide shot of Scrooge's Glacier Plex.
The atmosphere has changed again.
There is no championship suspended above the ring.
No chain waiting at ringside.
No trophy or title belt being displayed.
But the crowd is standing.
Almost everyone in the building understands that the next match has carried more emotional weight into Fallout 2026 than anything else on the card.
Referee Honest Abe stands inside the ring.
There are no additional restrictions being explained.
There is no count-out to worry about.
No disqualification to save either man from the consequences of what happens next.
At the broadcast desk, Johnny Michaels looks directly into the camera.
Johnny Michaels: “Earlier tonight, we heard Mr. Mason describe this match in very simple terms. Bringing his wife home was the emergency. Tonight is the consequence.”
Eddie Ellington: “Which was a very clever speech.”
Johnny Michaels: “You didn't sound particularly dismissive when we heard it.”
Eddie Ellington: “I wasn't dismissive. Jack Mason is dangerous when he's angry. He's even more dangerous when he convinces himself he's calm. But he's walking into a No Disqualification Match with the Master of the Night, and that is a completely different problem.”
Johnny Michaels: “This began with the abduction and manipulation of Edie Mason. It escalated into a deeply personal conflict that involved Jack's family, his friends, and ultimately the rescue that brought Edie home.”
Eddie Ellington: “And that's precisely why Jack should have stopped.”
Johnny Michaels: “Stopped?”
Eddie Ellington: “His wife is home. He got what he wanted. Take the victory and go home.”
Johnny Michaels: “You heard Jack earlier. For him, getting Edie home did not erase what happened.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's emotion talking.”
Johnny Michaels: “He specifically said it wasn't.”
Eddie Ellington: “Everybody says they're thinking clearly right before they make a terrible decision.”
The arena lights fade.
A low, deliberate tone begins to move through the Glacier Plex.
Deep violet illumination spreads across the entrance stage.
The crowd response immediately turns hostile.
A figure steps through the curtain.
Count Daculescu.
He wears dark formal clothing beneath a long coat, his expression controlled and unreadable.
He walks several steps onto the stage.
Then stops.
The music deepens.
The Master of the Night emerges behind him.
The reaction grows louder.
The Master of the Night does not acknowledge it.
He stands beside Count Daculescu, staring directly toward the ring.
There is a confidence in his posture that borders on contempt.
Eddie Ellington: “There he is.”
Johnny Michaels: “And listen to this reception.”
Eddie Ellington: “Why should he care? This building can boo until the glaciers melt. Master of the Night got inside the Mason family's head long before tonight.”
Johnny Michaels: “That is an extraordinary way to describe what he did.”
Eddie Ellington: “I'm describing effectiveness.”
Johnny Michaels: “He targeted Edie Mason.”
Eddie Ellington: “And it brought Jack Mason exactly where he wanted him.”
Johnny Michaels: “Into a No Disqualification Match.”
Eddie Ellington: “Exactly. You think that favors Jack because he's angry. I think it favors the man who spent months creating this situation.”
Count Daculescu starts down the aisle.
The Master of the Night follows several steps behind.
There is no rush.
No visible concern.
At ringside, Count Daculescu climbs the steps first.
He holds the ropes apart.
The Master of the Night enters.
He walks directly to the middle of the ring.
Then turns toward the entrance.
The violet lighting disappears.
For several seconds there is darkness.
Then a familiar, energetic theme hits.
The crowd explodes.
A bright white spotlight strikes the top of the entrance ramp.
Ace MacDougal walks through the curtain first.
Beside him waddles Flippers the Penguin.
The reaction grows even louder.
Ace stops.
He looks back through the curtain.
Then points toward the stage.
Mr. Mason steps into view.
The Glacier Plex erupts.
Jack Mason does not raise his arms.
He does not play to the crowd.
He stands at the top of the aisle, looking directly into the ring.
At the man waiting for him.
Johnny Michaels: “There is Mr. Mason.”
Eddie Ellington: “And look at him. This is exactly what I meant.”
Johnny Michaels: “What?”
Eddie Ellington: “No smile. No showmanship. He's convincing himself this is a lesson.”
Johnny Michaels: “Maybe it is.”
Eddie Ellington: “Then he's about to find out the student studied.”
Ace MacDougal says something quietly to Jack.
Jack Mason looks at him.
Ace places a hand briefly on Jack's shoulder.
Then steps away.
Flippers chirps.
Jack Mason looks down.
The faintest smile appears.
Mr. Mason: “Quite.”
Then he looks back toward the ring.
The smile disappears.
Jack Mason starts walking.
The crowd reaches toward him from both sides of the aisle.
He acknowledges almost none of them.
Ace MacDougal follows.
Flippers moves beside him as quickly as his short legs allow.
Johnny Michaels: “We saw the Mason family together earlier. Polly Mason still has her own battle ahead tonight against Dr. Violetta Voss. But right now this is Jack's fight.”
Eddie Ellington: “And notice who's missing. No army. No Negropolis. No Bigfoot. Just Ace, the penguin, and a man who thinks a classroom metaphor will protect him.”
Johnny Michaels: “I don't believe Jack Mason expects anyone to protect him.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's another mistake.”
Jack Mason reaches ringside.
He stops.
Inside the ring, the Master of the Night steps toward the ropes.
Count Daculescu watches from one side.
Ace MacDougal takes position on the opposite side.
Jack climbs onto the apron.
The Master of the Night makes no attempt to attack early.
He simply waits.
Jack Mason steps through the ropes.
For several seconds, neither man moves.
Honest Abe positions himself between them.
The crowd begins chanting.
“JACK!” “JACK!” “JACK!”
The Master of the Night smiles.
Jack Mason does not.
Celeste Orion moves to the center of the ring.
Celeste Orion: “Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall and will be contested under NO DISQUALIFICATION RULES!”
The crowd roars.
Celeste Orion: “Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by COUNT DACULESCU... the MASTER OF THE NIGHT!”
The boos intensify.
The Master of the Night raises one hand.
Count Daculescu applauds from ringside.
Celeste Orion turns.
Celeste Orion: “And his opponent, accompanied to the ring by ACE MACDOUGAL and FLIPPERS THE PENGUIN... MR. JACK MASON!”
The response is deafening.
Ace MacDougal pounds the apron.
Flippers chirps excitedly beside him.
Jack Mason continues staring at his opponent.
Honest Abe approaches both men.
He reminds them that there are no disqualifications.
Weapons and outside involvement will not automatically end the match.
The only way to win is pinfall or submission.
Mr. Mason nods once.
The Master of the Night smiles.
Johnny Michaels: “That smile says a great deal.”
Eddie Ellington: “It says the Master of the Night likes these rules.”
Johnny Michaels: “And I don't think Jack Mason objects to them either.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's why we're about to find out which man's confidence is justified.”
Honest Abe backs away.
The bell rings.
Minute 1
Jack Mason moves immediately.
There is no circling.
No attempt to feel out the opponent.
Jack grabs the Master of the Night, hooks him and throws him over with Welcome Home, the snap suplex driving him hard into the canvas.
The Master of the Night rolls through the impact and gets upright almost instantly.
He steps directly into Jack and cracks a European uppercut beneath his jaw.
Jack Mason staggers backward.
The Master of the Night follows.
Johnny Michaels: “No hesitation from either man! Welcome Home from Jack, European uppercut from the Master of the Night!”
Eddie Ellington: “And did you see how quickly the Master got back up? Jack wanted a statement in the opening seconds and got an uppercut for his trouble.”
Johnny Michaels: “Neither man came here to wrestle cautiously.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's fine with the Master of the Night. He knows exactly how emotional this is for Jack.”
Minute 2
Jack Mason shakes off the uppercut.
The Master of the Night advances.
Jack suddenly catches him and drops his jaw across his shoulder with the Neighborly Reminder Stunner.
The crowd explodes.
The Master of the Night stumbles backward but remains standing.
He surges forward and drives a vicious Vampire Kneelift into Jack's midsection.
Jack folds forward.
Johnny Michaels: “Neighborly Reminder connects, but the Master of the Night absorbs it and answers with that kneelift.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's what I want Jack Mason to understand. The clever move names aren't going to frighten this man.”
Johnny Michaels: “They aren't intended to frighten anyone.”
Eddie Ellington: “Then maybe he should spend less time naming lessons and more time avoiding knees.”
Minute 3
Jack Mason tries to move away from the follow-up.
The Master of the Night stays on him.
He traps Jack near the ropes and drives another Vampire Kneelift into his body.
Jack attempts to turn aside, but the knee catches him fully.
He drops toward one knee.
Johnny Michaels: “Two kneelifts in consecutive minutes, and the Master of the Night is targeting the body.”
Eddie Ellington: “Good. Take the air out of him. Jack can't give lectures if he can't breathe.”
Johnny Michaels: “That may be the first reason you've ever given us for targeting the ribs that involves public speaking.”
Eddie Ellington: “I adapt to the opponent.”
Minute 4
Jack Mason explodes upward.
He drives the Master of the Night backward with Sharing Time, unloading repeated punches to the head and body.
The crowd counts along with several of the strikes.
The Master of the Night absorbs the barrage and suddenly catches Jack by the throat.
His fingers clamp down.
Jack stops punching and grabs at the wrist.
The two struggle near the ropes.
Johnny Michaels: “Jack unloads with Sharing Time, but the Master of the Night answers by clawing directly at the throat.”
Eddie Ellington: “No disqualification, Johnny.”
Johnny Michaels: “I know the stipulation.”
Eddie Ellington: “Then don't sound so offended.”
Johnny Michaels: “Something can be legal under the stipulation and still be vicious.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's why I like this match.”
Minute 5
Jack Mason forces the hand away.
The Master of the Night falls backward.
Jack follows him to the canvas.
Repeated stomps crash down across the Master's chest, shoulder and ribs.
The Master of the Night tries to cover but cannot stop the barrage.
Ace MacDougal watches intently from ringside.
Johnny Michaels: “This is the part of Jack Mason we heard him talk about earlier. He called it opening the door.”
Eddie Ellington: “He also said he controls when it opens.”
Johnny Michaels: “So far he does.”
Eddie Ellington: “We'll see who closes it.”
Minute 6
The Master of the Night gets to his feet.
Jack Mason charges.
He tackles him down with the Rude Awakening Lou Thesz Press and begins throwing punches from the mount.
The Master of the Night gets his forearms between them.
He creates enough space to stand.
As Jack advances again, the Master catches him with another European uppercut.
Both men stagger apart.
Johnny Michaels: “Rude Awakening from Jack, another uppercut from the Master. They are matching aggression with aggression.”
Eddie Ellington: “Except the Master of the Night looks comfortable.”
Johnny Michaels: “You think Jack looks uncomfortable?”
Eddie Ellington: “Emotionally? Absolutely.”
Johnny Michaels: “Physically, he is still coming forward.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's not always good judgment.”
Minute 7
Jack Mason knocks the Master of the Night down.
He points toward him.
Then drops the Little Encouragement, the pointed elbow striking directly into the Master's chest.
Jack rises.
The Master of the Night suddenly snakes around him from behind.
He locks in the Blood Drain Sleeper.
Jack's expression changes immediately.
He grabs at the arms around his throat.
Honest Abe asks whether he submits.
Jack Mason shakes his head.
Ace MacDougal slaps the apron and shouts encouragement.
Johnny Michaels: “Blood Drain Sleeper! Jack Mason is trapped!”
Eddie Ellington: “Now slow him down. This is perfect.”
Johnny Michaels: “Jack refuses to submit.”
Eddie Ellington: “Of course he does. He has too much pride. That doesn't mean the hold isn't working.”
Minute 8
Jack Mason works himself upright.
He drives backward.
Once.
Twice.
The Master of the Night's grip loosens.
Jack turns free.
The Master tries to recover his balance.
Jack launches himself forward with another Rude Awakening, taking his opponent down beneath another barrage of punches.
Johnny Michaels: “Jack fights out and immediately answers!”
Eddie Ellington: “He's spending a lot of energy.”
Johnny Michaels: “He's also landing.”
Eddie Ellington: “So is the Master. That's what worries me for Jack.”
Johnny Michaels: “Your concern for Jack is touching.”
Eddie Ellington: “Don't misunderstand me. I just enjoy being right.”
Minute 9
The Master of the Night rolls to one knee.
Jack Mason stalks him.
A dangerous look crosses Jack's face.
He steps forward and tries A Lesson They'll Remember, aiming low.
The Master of the Night reads the attack.
He turns his hips and blocks the low blow before it can connect.
The Master shoves Jack backward.
Eddie Ellington: “HA!”
Johnny Michaels: “The Master of the Night saw that coming.”
Eddie Ellington: “Of course he did! Jack isn't the only man who did homework.”
Johnny Michaels: “Under No Disqualification rules, that low blow would have been entirely legal.”
Eddie Ellington: “Legal and predictable.”
Minute 10
Jack Mason steps forward again.
Another burst of Sharing Time sends repeated punches into the Master of the Night's head.
The Master covers briefly.
Then reaches out.
Once again his hand closes around Jack's throat.
Jack struggles against the claw.
The Master forces him backward.
Johnny Michaels: “We are seeing patterns developing now. Jack uses those repeated punches and the Master keeps answering by attacking the throat.”
Eddie Ellington: “Because he understands the body. Stop the breathing. Stop the talking. Stop the offense.”
Johnny Michaels: “You remain extremely impressed with him.”
Eddie Ellington: “Why wouldn't I be?”
Minute 11
Jack Mason breaks free.
He hooks the Master of the Night and throws him over with another Welcome Home snap suplex.
The Master rolls through the landing.
He gets upright and fires another European uppercut.
Jack's head snaps backward.
He catches himself against the ropes.
Johnny Michaels: “Another Welcome Home, another uppercut.”
Eddie Ellington: “And the Master keeps answering.”
Johnny Michaels: “So does Jack.”
Eddie Ellington: “Yes, which is why they're eleven minutes into this and neither man looks particularly interested in stopping.”
Minute 12
Jack Mason catches the Master of the Night.
He tries to position him for another Neighborly Reminder.
At the same moment, the Master attempts to counter into The Impaler, looking for the slingshot brainbuster.
Both men fight for control.
Jack tries to drop.
The Master tries to lift.
Neither gets the necessary position.
They break apart.
For the first time all match, there is a small pause.
The crowd applauds.
Johnny Michaels: “Both men went for something decisive and both recognized the danger.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's the best minute Jack has had.”
Johnny Michaels: “Neither man landed the move.”
Eddie Ellington: “Exactly. He didn't get dropped on his head.”
Minute 13
The pause ends.
The Master of the Night moves first.
He catches Jack Mason across the body and violently bends him across the knee with the Bloodline Backbreaker.
Jack tries to brace himself.
He cannot.
The impact leaves him clutching his lower back.
Johnny Michaels: “Bloodline Backbreaker!”
Eddie Ellington: “There. That's where the match changes.”
Johnny Michaels: “A tremendous amount of force across Jack's back.”
Eddie Ellington: “And remember the sleeper. Remember the kneelifts. The Master has been breaking pieces down since the first minute.”
Minute 14
Jack Mason tries to rise.
The Master of the Night refuses to allow it.
He pulls Jack upright.
Then drives him across the knee with a second Bloodline Backbreaker.
Jack falls to the canvas.
This time he remains there.
Ace MacDougal leans closer to the ropes.
Flippers becomes visibly agitated beside him.
Johnny Michaels: “Two consecutive Bloodline Backbreakers.”
Eddie Ellington: “Now we're seeing the difference between anger and strategy.”
Johnny Michaels: “Jack is in serious trouble.”
Eddie Ellington: “Exactly what the Master of the Night wanted.”
Minute 15
The Master of the Night reaches down.
Jack Mason suddenly erupts.
He throws one punch.
Then another.
Then another.
Sharing Time drives the Master backward.
The crowd comes alive.
Jack continues firing until the Master of the Night falls against the turnbuckles.
Johnny Michaels: “Jack Mason is still fighting!”
Eddie Ellington: “He always was going to fight.”
Johnny Michaels: “You sound less dismissive.”
Eddie Ellington: “I never questioned whether he'd fight. I questioned whether fighting is enough.”
Minute 16
Both men are slow getting fully upright.
Jack Mason sees an opening.
He steps in.
This time A Lesson They'll Remember connects.
The low blow doubles the Master of the Night over.
The crowd roars.
Eddie Ellington: “Oh, come on!”
Johnny Michaels: “No disqualification!”
Eddie Ellington: “I know the stipulation!”
Johnny Michaels: “Then don't sound so offended.”
Eddie Ellington: “Don't steal my lines.”
But even while doubled over, the Master of the Night catches Jack.
He twists behind him.
One arm snakes across the throat.
The other controls the upper body.
Night's Dominion.
The Cobra Clutch Dragon Sleeper hybrid is locked in.
Jack's body bends backward.
Honest Abe checks immediately.
Jack Mason refuses to submit.
Johnny Michaels: “NIGHT'S DOMINION! The low blow landed, but the Master of the Night still caught him!”
Eddie Ellington: “This is why he's different! Hurt him and he still finds the hold!”
Johnny Michaels: “Jack is trapped in the center!”
Eddie Ellington: “Ask him!”
Honest Abe asks again.
Jack Mason: “No.”
The answer is strained but unmistakable.
Ace MacDougal pounds the apron.
Ace MacDougal: “Come on, Jack!”
Jack claws at the grip.
He shifts his weight.
Slowly, painfully, he begins turning.
Minute 17
Jack Mason finally escapes Night's Dominion.
He catches the Master of the Night and throws him with another Welcome Home.
The Master hits hard.
Jack tries to rise.
The Master of the Night does the same.
They reach their feet almost together.
The Master catches Jack.
He pulls him toward the ropes.
Uses the tension.
And drives Jack Mason down with The Impaler.
The slingshot brainbuster spikes Jack into the canvas.
Johnny Michaels: “THE IMPALER!”
Eddie Ellington: “Cover him!”
The Master of the Night hooks the leg.
One!
Two!
Jack Mason kicks out.
The Glacier Plex explodes.
Ace MacDougal raises both fists.
Flippers chirps loudly.
The Master of the Night sits beside Jack.
For the first time, irritation appears.
Johnny Michaels: “Jack Mason survives The Impaler!”
Eddie Ellington: “That was close.”
Johnny Michaels: “Very close.”
Eddie Ellington: “But this is the problem. Every time Jack survives something, he's surviving with less.”
Johnny Michaels: “The same could be said for the Master of the Night.”
Eddie Ellington: “Then finish him.”
Minute 18
The Master of the Night drags Jack Mason up.
Jack suddenly pushes him away.
The Master charges.
Jack catches him.
NEIGHBORLY REMINDER!
The Stunner lands cleanly.
The Master of the Night drops.
The crowd erupts.
Johnny Michaels: “NEIGHBORLY REMINDER!”
Eddie Ellington: “Get up!”
Jack Mason turns him over.
He covers.
One!
The Master of the Night kicks out.
Jack sits back.
His face remains remarkably controlled.
Johnny Michaels: “Only one!”
Eddie Ellington: “There! That's resilience!”
Johnny Michaels: “Both men have now survived one another's major offense.”
Eddie Ellington: “And Jack looks surprised.”
Johnny Michaels: “I don't think that's surprise.”
Eddie Ellington: “What would you call it?”
Johnny Michaels: “Calculation.”
Jack Mason looks down at the Master of the Night.
Then slowly rises.
He adjusts his wristband.
Mr. Mason: “Very well.”
The crowd reacts.
Johnny Michaels: “You heard him.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's the teacher voice.”
Johnny Michaels: “And I suspect Jack Mason just decided the lesson isn't over.”
Minute 19
Jack Mason takes one step toward the fallen Master of the Night.
Then the arena video screen suddenly flickers.
The crowd murmurs.
Jack stops.
Johnny Michaels: “What is that?”
The JumboTron turns black.
Static rolls across it.
Then an image appears.
A woman.
Long dark hair.
Dressed entirely in black.
Her face is obscured beneath heavy shadow.
She stands motionless on the screen.
Jack Mason freezes.
At ringside, Ace MacDougal immediately looks up.
The woman does not move.
Then a whisper comes through the arena speakers.
A female voice.
Soft.
Almost intimate.
Mysterious Woman: “Jack…”
The entire Glacier Plex falls into uneasy silence.
Jack Mason turns fully toward the screen.
His expression changes.
The control disappears.
Not into rage.
Into confusion.
He takes one step toward the ropes.
Mr. Mason: “Edie?”
Johnny Michaels: “What?”
Eddie Ellington: “He thinks that's his wife.”
Johnny Michaels: “But Edie Mason is safe!”
Eddie Ellington: “He doesn't know what he's looking at!”
The image remains.
The woman's face is still concealed.
Jack Mason stares upward.
His back is completely turned to the Master of the Night.
Ace MacDougal suddenly notices movement at ringside.
Count Daculescu reaches inside his coat.
He pulls out a heavy glove.
The knuckles have clearly been loaded.
Johnny Michaels: “WATCH DACULESCU!”
Count Daculescu throws the glove over the top rope.
The Master of the Night catches it.
He slides it onto his hand.
Eddie Ellington: “No disqualification!”
Johnny Michaels: “And Jack still doesn't see him!”
Ace MacDougal runs toward the ropes.
Ace MacDougal: “JACK!”
Jack Mason continues staring at the woman on the screen.
Ace MacDougal: “JACK, WATCH OUT!”
Jack turns.
Too late.
The Master of the Night steps forward.
The loaded glove crashes beneath Jack Mason's jaw with a European uppercut.
The sound echoes throughout the arena.
Jack's body goes limp.
He collapses flat onto the canvas.
The crowd erupts in furious boos.
Johnny Michaels: “NO! LOADED GLOVE!”
Eddie Ellington: “HE GOT HIM!”
Johnny Michaels: “That woman distracted Jack Mason!”
Eddie Ellington: “And Count Daculescu prepared for the opening!”
Johnny Michaels: “Prepared? This looks orchestrated!”
The screen goes black.
The mysterious woman disappears.
Ace MacDougal stares toward the JumboTron.
Then immediately turns back toward the ring.
The Master of the Night removes the loaded glove and tosses it toward the corner.
He looks down at the unconscious Jack Mason.
Then covers.
Honest Abe drops.
One!
Ace MacDougal grips the bottom rope.
Two!
Flippers chirps frantically beside him.
Three!
The bell rings.
The crowd erupts in fury.
Johnny Michaels: “The Master of the Night has beaten Jack Mason!”
Eddie Ellington: “He told him! He got inside his head!”
Johnny Michaels: “With a mysterious woman on that screen and a loaded glove supplied by Count Daculescu!”
Eddie Ellington: “No disqualification, Johnny! Those were the rules Jack Mason agreed to!”
Johnny Michaels: “Legal under the stipulation does not mean this was not planned.”
The Master of the Night does not immediately stand.
He remains kneeling beside Jack.
Jack Mason is still motionless.
The Master leans closer.
His face is inches from Jack's.
He speaks quietly.
But the ringside microphone catches every word.
Master of the Night: “School's out.”
The crowd erupts again.
Ace MacDougal's expression hardens.
He steps toward the ring.
Count Daculescu immediately moves between him and the apron.
Ace stops.
The two men stare at one another.
Inside the ring, the Master of the Night slowly rises.
Celeste Orion steps forward.
Celeste Orion: “Ladies and gentlemen, your winner... the MASTER OF THE NIGHT!”
The boos nearly drown her out.
Count Daculescu enters the ring.
The Master of the Night stands beside him.
Neither looks particularly exhausted now.
They look satisfied.
Eddie Ellington: “You may not like the way it happened, but this is exactly what I warned you about. Jack Mason thought bringing Edie home meant he could walk into this match with everything under control.”
Johnny Michaels: “And somebody used an image of a woman who looked enough like Edie Mason to make Jack hesitate.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's the point. The Master of the Night knew where the weakness was.”
Johnny Michaels: “That isn't weakness, Eddie. That's his wife.”
Eddie Ellington: “In this match it became the same thing.”
Ace MacDougal slides into the ring only after Count Daculescu and the Master of the Night begin moving toward the ropes.
Ace immediately drops beside Jack.
Flippers remains at ringside, pacing anxiously.
Honest Abe kneels on Jack's other side.
Ace MacDougal: “Jack.”
No response.
Ace MacDougal: “Come on, lad.”
Jack Mason finally moves one hand.
The crowd applauds.
Johnny Michaels: “Thank goodness. Jack is moving.”
Eddie Ellington: “That loaded uppercut knocked him unconscious.”
Johnny Michaels: “And I want to go back to the screen.”
A replay begins.
The shadowed woman appears.
Long dark hair.
Black clothing.
Her face impossible to identify.
The whispered voice.
“Jack…”
Then Jack turning.
“Edie?”
The replay freezes.
Johnny Michaels: “We cannot identify that woman from this footage.”
Eddie Ellington: “But Jack Mason thought he could.”
Johnny Michaels: “And that was enough.”
The replay continues.
Count Daculescu tossing the loaded glove.
Ace MacDougal shouting.
The uppercut.
Jack collapsing.
The three-count.
The broadcast returns live.
The Master of the Night and Count Daculescu have reached the top of the entrance ramp.
The Master turns.
He looks back toward the ring.
Ace MacDougal is helping Jack Mason sit upright.
Jack touches his jaw.
He looks confused.
Then he sees the now-empty JumboTron.
His eyes narrow.
Johnny Michaels: “Jack Mason is beginning to understand what happened.”
Eddie Ellington: “Too late.”
Johnny Michaels: “Perhaps tonight.”
Eddie Ellington: “Tonight is what matters. Jack called this a consequence. Instead the Master of the Night beat him.”
Johnny Michaels: “There is no disputing the official result. This was No Disqualification. The loaded glove did not invalidate the pinfall. But the questions coming out of this match may now be even larger than the ones we had entering it.”
Eddie Ellington: “I have one answer. Master of the Night wins.”
Johnny Michaels: “Who was the woman on that screen?”
Eddie Ellington: “Don't know.”
Johnny Michaels: “Why did she sound familiar enough to make Jack Mason believe for one instant that he was hearing Edie?”
Eddie Ellington: “Don't know.”
Johnny Michaels: “Was this entire distraction arranged in advance?”
Eddie Ellington: “Probably.”
Johnny Michaels: “And by whom?”
For once, Eddie pauses.
Eddie Ellington: “That, Johnny, is the useful question.”
Inside the ring, Jack Mason reaches his feet with Ace MacDougal's help.
He remains unsteady.
Flippers climbs onto the apron.
Jack looks down toward him.
Then toward Ace.
Ace MacDougal says something quietly.
Jack does not answer.
Instead he looks toward the stage.
The Master of the Night is gone.
Count Daculescu is gone.
The entrance is empty.
Jack Mason straightens.
He adjusts his wristband.
The same gesture he made before the final minute.
But there is no teacher's smile now.
Johnny Michaels: “Earlier tonight, Mr. Mason told us there were some people who did not need another warning.”
Eddie Ellington: “Maybe somebody should warn him.”
Johnny Michaels: “The Master of the Night won the match. But if his intention was to close the book on Jack Mason, I'm not sure he accomplished that.”
Eddie Ellington: “He pinned him in the middle of the ring and told him school's out. That's a fairly decisive closing statement.”
Johnny Michaels: “Perhaps.”
The camera closes on Jack Mason.
His eyes remain fixed on the blank JumboTron.
Johnny Michaels: “But I have known Mr. Mason long enough to know that when he does not understand something…”
A pause.
Johnny Michaels: “…he starts asking questions.”
Eddie Ellington: “Then somebody had better hide the textbooks.”
Johnny Michaels: “The Master of the Night wins at Fallout. Jack Mason is left with a loss, a loaded-glove uppercut, and a mystery that may have just made this entire conflict even more personal.”
MASTER OF THE NIGHT DEFEATS JACK MASON VIA PINFALL AT THE 19:00 MINUTE MARK.
The broadcast cuts backstage to the Fallout 2026 interview area.
The silver-and-blue lighting reflects across the polished floor.
Smooth Samantha Satin stands at the center of the set, microphone in hand.
Beside her is Magnus Blackwell.
He wears a tailored charcoal suit beneath a long black winter coat, silver detailing running along the lapels. One black leather glove covers his right hand. His posture is relaxed, almost leisurely, despite what awaits his client later tonight.
Standing behind him is the reigning NPCW North Pole Champion, Grondar the Revenant.
The championship rests around Grondar's waist.
He does not touch it.
He does not look at it.
He simply stands.
Massive.
Motionless.
His eyes fixed somewhere beyond the camera.
The contrast is immediate.
Magnus Blackwell appears completely comfortable speaking for the champion.
Grondar looks like he has no need to speak at all.
Smooth Samantha Satin: “We are approaching tonight's main event, and joining me now are Magnus Blackwell and the reigning NPCW North Pole Champion, Grondar the Revenant.”
Magnus Blackwell smiles faintly.
Smooth Samantha Satin: “Later tonight, Grondar defends the championship in a Fatal Four-Way Match against Santa Claus, Rudolph, and Infernus Rex.”
Her eyes move briefly toward the championship.
Smooth Samantha Satin: “A match in which Grondar does not have to be pinned or submitted to lose the title.”
Magnus Blackwell: “Yes.”
He lets out a quiet laugh.
Magnus Blackwell: “Remarkable, isn't it?”
Smooth Samantha Satin: “You sound less than pleased.”
Magnus Blackwell: “Pleased?”
He turns slightly toward her.
Magnus Blackwell: “Samantha, look behind me.”
The camera widens slightly.
Grondar the Revenant fills the background.
Magnus Blackwell: “That is the North Pole Champion.”
He points toward Grondar without turning around.
Magnus Blackwell: “The man who defeated Santa Claus.”
A pause.
Magnus Blackwell: “The man who took the most important championship in the Polar Division and placed it exactly where it belongs.”
He taps his own chest.
Magnus Blackwell: “With the Blackwell Syndicate.”
Smooth Samantha Satin: “And now he has three challengers.”
Magnus Blackwell: “Precisely.”
His smile grows.
But there is no humor in it.
Magnus Blackwell: “Because one apparently wasn't enough.”
Smooth Samantha Satin: “You believe NPCW is deliberately making this difficult for the champion?”
Magnus Blackwell: “Believe?”
He looks almost offended by the word.
Magnus Blackwell: “No.”
Magnus Blackwell: “I observe.”
He raises one gloved finger.
Magnus Blackwell: “Grondar becomes champion.”
A second finger.
Magnus Blackwell: “NPCW schedules its major Polar Division pay-per-view.”
A third.
Magnus Blackwell: “And instead of allowing the champion to defend his title against one challenger in a straightforward contest, they put him into a match where three different men can take his championship…”
He pauses deliberately.
Magnus Blackwell: “…without ever defeating him.”
Smooth Samantha Satin: “Fatal Four-Way rules apply equally to everyone.”
Magnus Blackwell: “That is the sort of sentence management loves.”
He smiles toward her.
Magnus Blackwell: “It sounds fair.”
Magnus Blackwell: “Very clean.”
Magnus Blackwell: “Very reasonable.”
He gestures dismissively.
Magnus Blackwell: “It also completely avoids the point.”
Smooth Samantha Satin: “Which is?”
Magnus Blackwell: “The champion carries all of the risk.”
He turns slightly, allowing the camera a clearer view of Grondar.
Magnus Blackwell: “Santa Claus can pin Rudolph.”
Magnus Blackwell: “Rudolph can pin Infernus Rex.”
Magnus Blackwell: “Infernus Rex can pin Santa Claus.”
He looks back toward Samantha.
Magnus Blackwell: “And somehow the man standing behind me is supposed to lose his championship because somebody else failed.”
Smooth Samantha Satin: “Then wouldn't that mean Grondar has to control the entire match?”
Magnus Blackwell pauses.
His expression changes.
The irritation disappears.
The smile returns.
Magnus Blackwell: “Exactly.”
He looks directly into the camera.
Magnus Blackwell: “Now you understand.”
Behind him, Grondar the Revenant slowly raises his head.
Magnus Blackwell: “NPCW thinks it has created a problem for us.”
Magnus Blackwell: “Three challengers.”
Magnus Blackwell: “Three directions.”
Magnus Blackwell: “Three different threats.”
He gives a small shrug.
Magnus Blackwell: “I see three targets.”
Smooth Samantha Satin: “Those are not ordinary targets.”
Magnus Blackwell: “No.”
His eyes sharpen.
Magnus Blackwell: “They are not.”
Magnus Blackwell: “Rudolph is explosive.”
Magnus Blackwell: “Fast.”
Magnus Blackwell: “Far more dangerous than people give him credit for.”
He nods slightly.
Magnus Blackwell: “Santa Claus is experienced.”
Magnus Blackwell: “Powerful.”
Magnus Blackwell: “And very motivated to reclaim something he believes still belongs to him.”
Another pause.
Magnus Blackwell: “And Infernus Rex…”
For the first time, the smile disappears entirely.
Magnus Blackwell: “Well.”
He glances toward Grondar.
Magnus Blackwell: “He has spent a great deal of time tonight telling everyone how many kingdoms, legions, beasts, and monsters are supposedly beneath him.”
Smooth Samantha Satin: “You don't consider Infernus Rex the greatest threat in the match?”
Magnus Blackwell: “I consider him dangerous.”
A beat.
Magnus Blackwell: “I simply do not confuse danger with superiority.”
Behind him, Grondar shifts one foot forward.
The movement is small.
It still makes Samantha instinctively glance toward him.
Magnus Blackwell notices.
He smiles.
Magnus Blackwell: “That is what NPCW continues to misunderstand.”
He steps slightly aside.
For the first time, Grondar the Revenant stands unobstructed in the center of the camera shot.
Magnus Blackwell: “You do not prepare Grondar for chaos.”
Magnus Blackwell: “You release him into it.”
Smooth Samantha Satin: “You've referred to Grondar as a weapon before.”
Magnus Blackwell: “Because that is what he is.”
He says it without hesitation.
Magnus Blackwell: “The perfect weapon.”
The crowd can be heard reacting from inside the arena.
Magnus Blackwell: “A weapon does not become nervous because there are three targets instead of one.”
Magnus Blackwell: “A weapon does not complain that the battlefield is crowded.”
Magnus Blackwell: “A weapon does not care who believes they deserve the championship.”
He reaches back and taps the center plate of the North Pole Championship around Grondar's waist.
Magnus Blackwell: “It simply does what it was designed to do.”
Smooth Samantha Satin: “And what exactly was Grondar designed to do?”
Magnus Blackwell looks at her.
Then toward the camera.
His answer is almost quiet.
Magnus Blackwell: “End resistance.”
Silence.
Behind him, Grondar's eyes remain fixed forward.
Smooth Samantha Satin: “There is one element you have not addressed.”
Magnus Blackwell: “Only one?”
Smooth Samantha Satin: “The champion cannot simply focus on destroying opponents.”
She points toward the championship.
Smooth Samantha Satin: “He has to prevent anyone else from scoring the decisive fall.”
Magnus Blackwell: “Correct.”
Smooth Samantha Satin: “That requires awareness.”
Magnus Blackwell: “Yes.”
Smooth Samantha Satin: “Restraint.”
Magnus Blackwell: “When necessary.”
Smooth Samantha Satin: “Strategy.”
Magnus Blackwell: “Which is why I am here.”
He smiles.
Smooth Samantha Satin: “So this isn't simply a matter of sending Grondar into the ring and letting him fight?”
Magnus Blackwell: “Of course not.”
He smooths one lapel of his coat.
Magnus Blackwell: “People see Grondar and they make assumptions.”
He turns slightly toward the champion.
Magnus Blackwell: “They see size.”
Magnus Blackwell: “Power.”
Magnus Blackwell: “Violence.”
He looks back toward Samantha.
Magnus Blackwell: “They think the weapon is the entire plan.”
A small smile.
Magnus Blackwell: “The weapon has a strategist.”
Smooth Samantha Satin: “Meaning you.”
Magnus Blackwell: “Obviously.”
Samantha almost smiles.
Magnus Blackwell: “Tonight, Santa Claus will be watching Grondar because he wants revenge.”
Magnus Blackwell: “Rudolph will be watching the championship because he understands this may be the greatest opportunity of his career.”
Magnus Blackwell: “Infernus Rex will be watching everyone because men like him cannot enter a room without trying to determine who should kneel.”
He spreads his hands.
Magnus Blackwell: “Let them watch.”
Behind him, Grondar slowly places one enormous hand over the championship plate.
Magnus Blackwell: “While they are watching one another…”
His voice lowers.
Magnus Blackwell: “…Grondar will be hunting.”
Smooth Samantha Satin: “You sound very certain the championship leaves Fallout with the Blackwell Syndicate.”
Magnus Blackwell: “It arrived with us.”
Smooth Samantha Satin: “That wasn't the question.”
Magnus Blackwell studies her for a moment.
Then nods approvingly.
Magnus Blackwell: “Fair.”
He looks directly toward the camera.
Magnus Blackwell: “Yes.”
A pause.
Magnus Blackwell: “We will leave with it.”
Smooth Samantha Satin: “Even though Grondar could lose without being involved in the fall?”
Magnus Blackwell: “There will be no fall without him being involved.”
That answer comes immediately.
Magnus Blackwell: “That is the part everyone is missing.”
He gestures toward the champion.
Magnus Blackwell: “They think the Fatal Four-Way protects them from having to defeat Grondar.”
His smile becomes colder.
Magnus Blackwell: “It doesn't.”
Magnus Blackwell: “It means they have to survive him long enough to defeat somebody else.”
He pauses.
Magnus Blackwell: “Good luck.”
Smooth Samantha Satin: “And what do you say specifically to Santa Claus, the former champion?”
Magnus Blackwell: “Thank you.”
Samantha raises an eyebrow.
Smooth Samantha Satin: “Thank you?”
Magnus Blackwell: “Of course.”
He turns toward the camera again.
Magnus Blackwell: “Santa, you gave Grondar the greatest gift anyone could give him.”
He taps the championship.
Magnus Blackwell: “You stood across the ring from him.”
A pause.
Magnus Blackwell: “And you lost.”
His expression hardens.
Magnus Blackwell: “Tonight you get to experience the sequel.”
Smooth Samantha Satin: “And Rudolph?”
Magnus Blackwell: “Wrong night to be ambitious.”
Smooth Samantha Satin: “Infernus Rex?”
This time Magnus does not answer immediately.
Behind him, Grondar the Revenant finally moves forward.
One step.
Then another.
He now stands beside Magnus Blackwell.
The camera has to adjust to fit him fully in frame.
Grondar looks directly into the lens.
His voice is low.
Rough.
Only two words.
Grondar the Revenant: “Let him come.”
Samantha turns toward the champion.
Magnus Blackwell smiles broadly.
Magnus Blackwell: “There.”
He gestures toward Grondar.
Magnus Blackwell: “An extensive statement by his standards.”
Smooth Samantha Satin: “Perhaps the champion is looking forward to meeting Infernus Rex.”
Magnus Blackwell: “The champion is looking forward to meeting all of them.”
Grondar lowers his gaze toward the championship.
Then slowly unfastens it.
He lifts the North Pole Championship from his waist.
For several seconds he studies it.
Then he places it over his shoulder.
Magnus Blackwell: “NPCW wanted to make tonight difficult.”
He steps beside Grondar.
Magnus Blackwell: “They wanted the champion under pressure.”
Magnus Blackwell: “They wanted uncertainty.”
Magnus Blackwell: “They wanted three men believing that the numbers gave them an advantage.”
He shakes his head.
Magnus Blackwell: “But there is something very important about weapons, Samantha.”
Smooth Samantha Satin: “What's that?”
Magnus Blackwell: “Pressure does not frighten them.”
Grondar the Revenant raises the North Pole Championship.
Magnus Blackwell: “Pressure is where they are tested.”
A pause.
Magnus Blackwell: “And the perfect weapon does not fail the test.”
Grondar lowers the championship onto his shoulder.
Magnus Blackwell looks directly into the camera.
Magnus Blackwell: “Tonight, Santa Claus, Rudolph, and Infernus Rex are going to discover something NPCW should have considered before signing this match.”
His smile returns.
Magnus Blackwell: “You do not make life harder for Grondar the Revenant…”
He glances toward the champion.
Magnus Blackwell: “…by giving him more people to hurt.”
Grondar turns and walks out of the interview area.
Magnus Blackwell follows.
After two steps, he stops.
He looks back toward Samantha.
Magnus Blackwell: “And when it's over…”
A final smile.
Magnus Blackwell: “…we'll be the ones laughing.”
He turns and follows the champion out of frame.
Smooth Samantha Satin watches them disappear down the corridor.
Then she turns back toward the camera.
Smooth Samantha Satin: “The confidence of the Blackwell Syndicate remains absolute. But later tonight, Grondar the Revenant will have to survive three challengers at once if he intends to remain North Pole Champion.”
The camera holds for a moment.
Then the Fallout 2026 logo sweeps across the screen.
The broadcast returns live to Scrooge's Glacier Plex.
The mood inside the arena is different from the one that existed before Jack Mason's match.
The crowd is still loud.
Still energized.
But there is an unsettled edge running through the building.
The image of Jack Mason collapsing after the loaded-glove uppercut remains fresh.
At the broadcast desk, Johnny Michaels looks toward the entrance stage.
Johnny Michaels: “We are moving now to the final match before tonight's North Pole Championship main event, but there has been an important change regarding what we are about to see.”
Eddie Ellington: “A very intelligent change.”
Johnny Michaels: “Following what happened in the previous match, Elias Coldmere has barred Count Daculescu from ringside for this Last Woman Standing Match.”
Eddie Ellington: “And before you start celebrating, Johnny, that applies equally. Nobody is coming down here to help either woman.”
Johnny Michaels: “That is exactly the point. Dr. Violetta Voss will come alone. Polly Mason will come alone.”
Eddie Ellington: “Because Ace MacDougal and Flippers are still backstage checking on Jack Mason.”
Johnny Michaels: “And I cannot imagine what is going through Polly's mind right now.”
Eddie Ellington: “I can.”
Johnny Michaels: “Of course you can.”
Eddie Ellington: “Distraction. Fear. Anger. Confusion. Pick one.”
Johnny Michaels: “She just watched her brother knocked unconscious after someone used the image and voice of a mysterious woman to distract him.”
Eddie Ellington: “Exactly. Which is why Dr. Voss has the advantage.”
Johnny Michaels: “You are already siding with Violetta.”
Eddie Ellington: “I'm siding with the woman who is entering this match thinking clearly.”
Johnny Michaels: “You have no idea what Dr. Voss is thinking.”
Eddie Ellington: “I know she isn't worried about her brother.”
The arena lighting changes.
Cold violet light spills across the entrance stage.
A clinical pulse begins beneath Dr. Violetta Voss's entrance music.
The crowd boos.
Dr. Violetta Voss steps through the curtain.
Alone.
She stops at the top of the aisle.
Her eyes sweep across the ring.
Then toward the backstage entrance behind her.
No Count Daculescu appears.
Johnny Michaels: “And there is confirmation. Dr. Violetta Voss is alone.”
Eddie Ellington: “Good.”
Johnny Michaels: “You don't sound disappointed.”
Eddie Ellington: “Why would I be? Now when Voss wins, you can't complain about anyone helping her.”
Johnny Michaels: “A Last Woman Standing Match is about survival. The only way to win is to leave your opponent unable to answer the referee's count of ten.”
Eddie Ellington: “Which is perfect for Voss. She studies people. She breaks them down. Tonight she doesn't need a pinfall or submission. She just needs Polly to stop getting up.”
Dr. Violetta Voss begins walking down the aisle.
She does not acknowledge the fans.
She reaches ringside and circles the ring once before stepping onto the apron.
She looks toward Honest Abe.
Then toward the entrance.
Dr. Voss enters through the ropes.
She stands in the center.
Waiting.
The violet lighting fades.
For several seconds the arena remains dim.
Then Polly Mason's music hits.
The crowd rises immediately.
A bright white spotlight finds the entrance.
Polly Mason steps through the curtain.
She is alone.
No Ace MacDougal.
No Flippers.
No Mr. Mason.
The crowd cheers loudly, but Polly does not respond the way she normally would.
She stops at the top of the aisle.
Her shoulders are tense.
Her eyes seem unfocused for a moment.
She glances back toward the curtain.
Nothing happens.
Johnny Michaels: “Look at Polly.”
Eddie Ellington: “Exactly.”
Johnny Michaels: “She is clearly shaken.”
Eddie Ellington: “And that's not an insult. It's an observation. Her brother was knocked out less than an hour ago.”
Johnny Michaels: “But she still came out here.”
Eddie Ellington: “Of course she did. Polly Mason has courage.”
A pause.
Eddie Ellington: “Courage and good timing are not the same thing.”
Polly Mason takes a breath.
Then begins walking toward the ring.
The crowd reaches toward her.
She gives one or two fans a brief touch of the hand but remains focused on Dr. Voss.
Inside the ring, Violetta watches her approach.
There is a faint smile on her face.
Johnny Michaels: “Earlier tonight, Polly said Dr. Voss does not get to own the part of her story connected to what happened to her.”
Eddie Ellington: “Wonderful speech.”
Johnny Michaels: “She meant every word.”
Eddie Ellington: “I believe she did. But now the speech is over.”
Polly Mason reaches ringside.
She looks toward Dr. Voss.
Then briefly toward the entrance ramp again.
The concern for her brother is still visible.
Dr. Voss notices.
She says something from inside the ring.
The microphones do not catch it.
Whatever it is, Polly's expression hardens instantly.
Johnny Michaels: “Voss said something to her.”
Eddie Ellington: “Good.”
Johnny Michaels: “Good?”
Eddie Ellington: “Get her emotional. That's the match.”
Polly Mason slides beneath the bottom rope.
She immediately rises.
Dr. Voss steps toward her.
Honest Abe quickly gets between them.
Celeste Orion takes her position.
Celeste Orion: “Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is a LAST WOMAN STANDING MATCH!”
The crowd erupts.
Celeste Orion: “There are no pinfalls. There are no submissions. The match will continue until one competitor is unable to answer the referee's count of ten!”
Another loud reaction.
Celeste Orion turns toward Dr. Voss.
Celeste Orion: “Introducing first... DR. VIOLETTA VOSS!”
Dr. Voss raises one hand.
The boos intensify.
Celeste Orion turns.
Celeste Orion: “And her opponent... POLLY MASON!”
The audience erupts.
Polly nods once.
Her eyes never leave Voss.
Honest Abe steps between them.
He explains that he will begin a standing count whenever either woman is down and unable to continue.
Neither responds.
The referee backs away.
The bell rings.
Minute 1
Polly Mason hesitates for a fraction of a second.
That is all Dr. Violetta Voss needs.
Voss closes the distance, hooks Polly around the waist and drives her backward with a Saito suplex.
Polly lands hard across her shoulders.
She rolls immediately toward the ropes.
Voss stays close.
Johnny Michaels: “And Dr. Voss attacks immediately.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's what I said. Polly came out here with half her mind backstage.”
Johnny Michaels: “It was one moment of hesitation.”
Eddie Ellington: “One moment gets you thrown on your head.”
Polly Mason gets upright before any standing count can begin.
She looks across at Voss.
Whatever uncertainty existed before the bell is beginning to disappear.
Minute 2
Polly Mason steps forward.
She catches Dr. Voss and throws her with a Northern Lights suplex.
Voss rolls through and retreats toward the ropes.
As Polly follows, Voss pulls her across the middle rope.
Polly's upper body hangs over the cable.
Voss grabs her and drives her face-first down with a rope-hung facebreaker.
Polly tumbles to the canvas.
Johnny Michaels: “Polly answers with the Northern Lights suplex, but Voss immediately turns the ropes into a weapon.”
Eddie Ellington: “Exactly. Voss isn't thinking emotionally. She's looking around and seeing tools.”
Johnny Michaels: “The ring itself becomes dangerous in this kind of match.”
Eddie Ellington: “Everything becomes dangerous if you're clever enough.”
Minute 3
Polly Mason gets back up.
She catches Dr. Voss with another Northern Lights suplex.
The momentum carries both women toward the apron.
Voss rolls onto the edge of the ring.
Polly follows.
The two fight for position.
Dr. Voss drives a knee into Polly's body.
She hooks her.
Then powerbombs Polly Mason directly onto the ring apron.
The crowd gasps.
Polly crashes onto the hardest part of the ring and falls to the floor.
Honest Abe immediately follows.
Johnny Michaels: “POWERBOMB ON THE APRON!”
Eddie Ellington: “That's how you win this match.”
Honest Abe begins counting.
One!
Polly does not move.
Two! Three!
Voss leans against the apron and watches.
Four! Five!
Polly rolls onto one side.
Six!
She gets one hand beneath her.
Seven!
Polly Mason pushes herself to her feet.
The crowd roars.
Honest Abe stops the count.
Johnny Michaels: “Polly is up at seven!”
Eddie Ellington: “But look at her back.”
Johnny Michaels: “The powerbomb did tremendous damage.”
Eddie Ellington: “And Voss now knows she can put her down.”
Minute 4
Polly Mason charges.
She catches Dr. Voss and drops her with a neckbreaker on the floor.
The fight spills away from ringside.
The women move through the barricade opening and toward the concession area.
Fans scatter as security clears a path.
Dr. Voss suddenly catches Polly by the hair.
She drives Polly's head into a concession stand cash register.
The metal drawer rattles from the impact.
Polly staggers.
Voss immediately takes her down and traps her in The Diagnosis, wrenching back with the Rings of Saturn.
Johnny Michaels: “We are into the concession area! Polly's head just hit that cash register!”
Eddie Ellington: “And now The Diagnosis!”
Johnny Michaels: “A submission cannot end this match.”
Eddie Ellington: “It doesn't need to. Tear up the arms. Damage the shoulders. Make it harder for Polly to pull herself up when the count starts later.”
Johnny Michaels: “That is exactly the kind of long-term strategy Voss is using.”
Eddie Ellington: “You say that like you're surprised.”
Minute 5
Dr. Voss releases the hold and tries to pull Polly Mason into another Saito suplex.
Polly blocks.
She hooks one leg around Voss's.
Voss tries again.
Polly drives an elbow backward.
The attempt collapses.
Polly breaks free and shoves Voss into the side of the concession stand.
Johnny Michaels: “Polly neutralizes the Saito suplex.”
Eddie Ellington: “Good defense.”
Johnny Michaels: “That almost sounded complimentary.”
Eddie Ellington: “I'm biased, not blind.”
Minute 6
Dr. Voss climbs onto part of the concession counter and launches herself with a diving clothesline.
Polly Mason sees it coming.
She sidesteps.
Voss lands awkwardly.
Polly catches her from behind.
Final Dose.
The swinging reverse STO drives Dr. Voss down onto the hard floor.
The crowd erupts.
Johnny Michaels: “FINAL DOSE!”
Eddie Ellington: “That was a bad landing.”
Johnny Michaels: “Voss took the full impact.”
Eddie Ellington: “Then don't lie there. Get up.”
Voss pushes herself toward one knee before Honest Abe can begin a meaningful count.
Minute 7
Polly Mason tries to suplex Dr. Voss again.
Voss shifts her weight and blocks.
She pulls Polly toward her and fires a series of short-arm clotheslines.
One catches Polly across the chest.
A second drives her backward.
A third knocks her to the floor.
Johnny Michaels: “Voss reverses the suplex attempt and turns it into repeated short-arm clotheslines.”
Eddie Ellington: “Stay close. That's what she needs to do.”
Johnny Michaels: “Don't let Polly regain momentum.”
Eddie Ellington: “Exactly.”
Minute 8
The fight moves back toward ringside.
Polly Mason catches Voss's leg during another attack.
She twists.
Polly drops to the floor and applies an ankle lock.
Dr. Voss reaches for the barricade.
There are no rope breaks outside the ring.
Polly twists harder.
Voss grimaces and drags herself toward the apron.
Johnny Michaels: “Ankle lock from Polly.”
Eddie Ellington: “Again, it cannot win the match.”
Johnny Michaels: “But it can make standing increasingly difficult.”
Eddie Ellington: “Exactly. That works both ways.”
Minute 9
Dr. Voss gets free.
Polly Mason attempts to close the distance.
Voss catches her arm.
Another sequence of short-arm clotheslines drives Polly backward.
The final one drops her beside the ring.
Johnny Michaels: “Voss keeps returning to those short-arm clotheslines.”
Eddie Ellington: “Because they're working.”
Johnny Michaels: “Simple, direct offense.”
Eddie Ellington: “You don't need a laboratory for every solution.”
Minute 10
Polly Mason gets back up.
She hooks Voss and delivers a suplex on the floor.
Voss rolls through the impact.
As Polly advances, Dr. Voss explodes forward with a running knee strike.
The knee catches Polly high.
Both women fall.
Johnny Michaels: “Suplex by Polly! Running knee by Voss!”
Eddie Ellington: “This is becoming exactly the kind of fight Voss wanted.”
Johnny Michaels: “I would argue both women wanted this.”
Eddie Ellington: “Polly wanted revenge. Voss wanted control.”
Minute 11
Polly Mason reaches her feet first.
She catches Dr. Voss.
Another Final Dose drives Voss down.
But Voss recovers quickly enough to get behind Polly during the next exchange.
Another Saito suplex sends Polly over.
Both women lie near ringside.
Johnny Michaels: “Both land major offense again.”
Eddie Ellington: “And every time Polly thinks she's taken control, Voss answers.”
Johnny Michaels: “The same is true in reverse.”
Eddie Ellington: “Yes, but I prefer my version.”
Minute 12
Polly Mason catches Dr. Voss's ankle again.
She twists into the ankle lock.
Voss claws toward the floor.
She reaches the ring skirt.
Then uses it to pull herself upright.
Voss turns.
She breaks Polly's grip.
Then hooks her.
Dr. Voss drives Polly Mason onto the arena floor with a backdrop driver.
Polly's shoulders and upper back crash violently against the padding.
She does not move.
Honest Abe begins counting.
One! Two! Three!
Johnny Michaels: “That backdrop driver may have done it!”
Four! Five!
Polly's hand moves.
Six!
She rolls onto her stomach.
Seven!
Ace MacDougal is nowhere at ringside.
No one can help her.
Eight!
Polly gets one knee beneath her.
Nine!
She lunges upward and grabs the barricade.
Polly Mason stands.
The crowd erupts.
Johnny Michaels: “SHE'S UP AT NINE!”
Eddie Ellington: “That was too close.”
Johnny Michaels: “One second from the match being over.”
Eddie Ellington: “And look at Voss. She's not angry. She's taking notes.”
Minute 13
Dr. Voss moves in immediately.
Polly Mason catches her.
A neckbreaker drops Voss onto the floor.
The doctor rolls onto her side.
Polly remains sitting beside her, breathing heavily.
Johnny Michaels: “Polly answers immediately after surviving nine.”
Eddie Ellington: “Adrenaline.”
Johnny Michaels: “Determination.”
Eddie Ellington: “Same chemical, better marketing.”
Minute 14
The two women fight farther around ringside.
Polly Mason gets control.
She hooks Dr. Voss.
Then drives her onto the floor with a brainbuster.
The crowd erupts.
Voss crashes head and shoulders first.
At the same time, before the brainbuster is fully secured, Voss catches Polly with a jumping cutter during the struggle, leaving both women damaged in the exchange.
Dr. Voss remains down.
Honest Abe begins counting.
One! Two! Three!
Eddie Ellington: “Get up, Voss.”
Four! Five!
Voss turns onto one elbow.
Six! Seven!
She crawls toward the barricade.
Eight!
Voss grips the top rail.
Nine!
She gets to her feet.
The crowd reacts loudly.
Johnny Michaels: “Dr. Voss survives at nine!”
Eddie Ellington: “Of course she does.”
Johnny Michaels: “You sounded worried.”
Eddie Ellington: “Concerned. There is a difference.”
Minute 15
Both women stagger toward one another.
Polly Mason catches Voss and sends her over with another Northern Lights suplex.
Voss rolls through.
She traps Polly's wrist.
Another short-arm clothesline catches Polly high across the chest.
Neither woman stays down.
Johnny Michaels: “Fifteen minutes and neither one is willing to give the other a sustained advantage.”
Eddie Ellington: “But Polly has already been counted to seven and nine.”
Johnny Michaels: “And Voss has just survived nine herself.”
Eddie Ellington: “Statistics are selective.”
Minute 16
The fight reaches the announce desk.
Johnny Michaels and Eddie Ellington stand and move backward.
Polly Mason grabs Dr. Voss.
She clears a section of the table with one sweeping motion.
Eddie Ellington: “Hey! That's our equipment!”
Johnny Michaels: “Move!”
Polly lifts Voss.
She slams Dr. Violetta Voss directly onto the announce table.
The table buckles under the impact but does not completely collapse.
Voss lies across it.
Honest Abe begins counting.
One! Two! Three!
Eddie Ellington: “This is vandalism.”
Johnny Michaels: “She is trying to win a Last Woman Standing Match!”
Four! Five!
Voss rolls toward the edge.
Six! Seven!
She slides off the table.
Eight!
Voss gets one knee beneath her.
Nine!
She stands.
The audience roars.
Johnny Michaels: “Voss survives another count of nine!”
Eddie Ellington: “There. That's resilience.”
Johnny Michaels: “That is exactly what you refused to call Polly's recovery earlier.”
Eddie Ellington: “Different circumstances.”
Minute 17
Dr. Voss catches Polly Mason before she can attack again.
She twists Polly backward into an abdominal stretch beside the announce position.
Polly grimaces.
There are no submissions.
Voss knows it.
She pulls harder, stretching the already damaged back and ribs.
Johnny Michaels: “Voss is not trying to get a submission. She is attacking the back that has already absorbed that apron powerbomb and backdrop driver.”
Eddie Ellington: “Exactly. Every second in that hold makes the next count harder to answer.”
Johnny Michaels: “Methodical.”
Eddie Ellington: “Clinical.”
Minute 18
Polly Mason breaks the abdominal stretch.
She grabs Dr. Voss and snaps her down with another neckbreaker.
Voss rolls toward the announce desk.
Polly follows.
Dr. Voss suddenly catches her.
She lifts.
And slams Polly Mason directly onto the announce table.
The table finally collapses.
Johnny Michaels: “THE TABLE IS GONE!”
Eddie Ellington: “That's what you get for breaking my furniture first!”
Polly lies among the wreckage.
Honest Abe begins counting.
One! Two! Three! Four!
Polly does not move.
Five! Six!
She rolls onto one side.
Seven!
Polly grabs a piece of the collapsed table and pulls herself upright.
The referee stops.
Johnny Michaels: “Up at seven!”
Eddie Ellington: “But she's slowing down.”
Johnny Michaels: “There is no question about that.”
Eddie Ellington: “And Voss can see it.”
Minute 19
Polly Mason lunges at Dr. Voss.
She catches her from behind and tries to secure a sleeper.
Voss reaches backward.
She grabs Polly and throws her over with another Saito suplex.
Polly crashes beside the broken announce desk.
Johnny Michaels: “Another Saito suplex by Voss.”
Eddie Ellington: “She is systematically tearing Polly apart.”
Johnny Michaels: “And yet Polly continues getting up.”
Eddie Ellington: “Eventually that sentence changes.”
Minute 20
Polly Mason gets upright.
She catches Voss in another neckbreaker.
Dr. Voss absorbs it and gets back to her feet.
She pulls Polly into another short-arm clothesline.
Both women stagger away.
Johnny Michaels: “Neither woman can put the other down long enough.”
Eddie Ellington: “Not yet.”
Johnny Michaels: “That sounded ominous.”
Eddie Ellington: “That sounded accurate.”
Minute 21
Polly Mason gets behind Dr. Voss.
She hooks the waist.
Northern Lights suplex.
Voss lands hard.
She tries to rise but takes several seconds.
Polly stays near her.
Johnny Michaels: “Polly beginning to string offense together.”
Eddie Ellington: “She needs more than one suplex.”
Johnny Michaels: “Every move matters at this stage.”
Minute 22
Dr. Voss reaches her feet.
Polly Mason attacks before she can regain balance.
Another neckbreaker drives Voss onto the floor.
Voss rolls toward the barricade.
Johnny Michaels: “Second strong minute for Polly.”
Eddie Ellington: “And still not enough for a count.”
Johnny Michaels: “She is building toward one.”
Eddie Ellington: “Then she'd better hurry.”
Minute 23
Polly Mason catches Dr. Voss again.
Another Northern Lights suplex sends Voss over.
The doctor rolls through.
She gets to her feet and immediately drives a running knee into Polly's face.
Both women collapse.
The crowd rises.
Johnny Michaels: “Northern Lights suplex! Running knee!”
Eddie Ellington: “That's what I needed to see from Voss.”
Johnny Michaels: “You needed to see?”
Eddie Ellington: “I'm invested.”
Johnny Michaels: “That has become painfully obvious.”
Minute 24
Polly Mason gets to her feet first.
She moves toward Dr. Voss.
Voss traps the wrist.
She pulls Polly forward.
A short-arm clothesline smashes across Polly's chest.
Polly falls.
She rolls toward the apron.
Dr. Voss watches.
The doctor is breathing heavily now.
But her eyes remain focused.
Johnny Michaels: “Voss has put Polly down again.”
Eddie Ellington: “And look where Polly is.”
Johnny Michaels: “Near the floor.”
Eddie Ellington: “Exactly. Voss has something in mind.”
Minute 25
Polly Mason rolls beneath the bottom rope and lands on the arena floor.
She uses the apron to pull herself upward.
Dr. Violetta Voss follows her toward the ropes.
Polly reaches her feet.
She catches Voss trying to come through and suplexes her back toward the ring.
Voss absorbs the impact.
Polly staggers away.
Dr. Voss climbs onto the ring apron.
She looks down.
Polly Mason turns.
Voss launches herself from the apron.
She dives directly onto Polly Mason.
Both women crash onto the arena floor.
The crowd erupts.
Johnny Michaels: “VOSS FROM THE APRON!”
Eddie Ellington: “That's it!”
Both women are down.
Honest Abe checks them.
Then begins counting.
One!
Neither moves.
Two! Three!
Dr. Voss rolls onto her stomach.
Four!
Polly Mason remains flat on her back.
Five!
Voss crawls toward the barricade.
Six!
She pulls herself onto one knee.
Johnny Michaels: “Voss is moving.”
Seven!
Dr. Voss gets one foot beneath her.
Polly turns onto her side.
Eight!
Voss grabs the barricade and rises.
She is standing.
Barely.
But standing.
Polly Mason pushes one hand against the floor.
Nine!
The entire Glacier Plex is on its feet.
Johnny Michaels: “COME ON, POLLY!”
Eddie Ellington: “Stay down!”
Polly gets one knee underneath her.
Her arm trembles.
She tries to rise.
Ten!
The bell rings.
The crowd reacts with a mixture of shock and boos.
Polly Mason collapses back onto the floor.
Dr. Violetta Voss remains standing against the barricade.
Her legs nearly give way.
But she stays upright.
Johnny Michaels: “It's over.”
Eddie Ellington: “I told you!”
Johnny Michaels: “Dr. Violetta Voss has survived!”
Honest Abe moves toward Voss.
The doctor pushes away from the barricade.
The referee raises her arm.
Celeste Orion: “Ladies and gentlemen, your winner... DR. VIOLETTA VOSS!”
The boos rise.
Voss does not celebrate wildly.
She stands several feet away from Polly Mason.
Breathing heavily.
Watching her.
Eddie Ellington: “That was exactly what Voss needed to do.”
Johnny Michaels: “Twenty-five brutal minutes.”
Eddie Ellington: “And she kept forcing Polly to get up. Seven. Nine. Seven. Every count took something.”
Johnny Michaels: “And Polly did the same to her. Voss survived two counts of nine.”
Eddie Ellington: “Which proves my point.”
Johnny Michaels: “What point?”
Eddie Ellington: “She was tougher tonight.”
Johnny Michaels: “Tonight, she was the last woman standing.”
DR. VIOLETTA VOSS DEFEATS POLLY MASON VIA TEN-COUNT AT THE 25:00 MINUTE MARK.
The camera moves toward Polly Mason.
She is sitting now.
Her back rests against the barricade.
She looks exhausted.
There is no Ace MacDougal coming down the aisle.
No Flippers.
No Jack Mason.
She is alone.
Johnny Michaels: “And I want to emphasize something.”
Eddie Ellington: “Here comes the consolation speech.”
Johnny Michaels: “No. Context.”
Polly wipes hair away from her face.
She looks toward the arena entrance.
Johnny Michaels: “Polly Mason walked into this match after watching what happened to her brother. The two people who would normally have accompanied her were backstage with Jack.”
Eddie Ellington: “And?”
Johnny Michaels: “And she still fought for twenty-five minutes.”
Eddie Ellington: “I never said she wasn't tough.”
Johnny Michaels: “She survived a powerbomb onto the apron.”
Replay footage appears.
Polly crashing against the edge of the ring.
Johnny Michaels: “A backdrop driver onto the floor.”
The replay changes.
Polly landing violently.
Johnny Michaels: “She got up at nine.”
Eddie Ellington: “And eventually she didn't.”
The replay shows Polly slamming Dr. Voss onto the announce table.
Then Voss returning the favor and collapsing it.
Johnny Michaels: “Dr. Voss survived enormous punishment of her own.”
Eddie Ellington: “There you go.”
Johnny Michaels: “And that is why she deserves full credit for this victory.”
Eddie Ellington: “I knew you'd get there.”
The broadcast returns live.
Dr. Violetta Voss has reached the ring.
She stops before climbing onto the apron.
She looks back at Polly.
Polly Mason is finally pulling herself upright using the barricade.
The crowd applauds.
Voss watches.
For a moment, there is something almost analytical in her expression.
As though she is evaluating the result of an experiment.
Polly looks up.
Their eyes meet.
Dr. Voss slowly raises one finger.
Then points toward her own head.
Eddie Ellington: “See that?”
Johnny Michaels: “I see it.”
Eddie Ellington: “She's telling Polly she won up here.”
Johnny Michaels: “Or perhaps she's telling her the psychological pressure mattered.”
Eddie Ellington: “Same thing.”
Polly Mason stares at her.
Her breathing is heavy.
She looks toward the entrance again.
Then back toward Voss.
Polly Mason: “No.”
The ringside microphone catches it.
Dr. Voss tilts her head.
Polly Mason: “You won the match.”
A pause.
Polly Mason: “That's all.”
The crowd cheers.
Dr. Voss's expression changes slightly.
Eddie Ellington: “That's a convenient distinction.”
Johnny Michaels: “It's an important distinction.”
Eddie Ellington: “The record book still says Voss.”
Johnny Michaels: “And Polly isn't disputing that.”
Voss looks at her for another moment.
Then turns.
She climbs onto the apron and steps through the ropes.
Inside the ring, she raises both arms.
Johnny Michaels: “Dr. Violetta Voss earned the victory tonight. But if her objective was to convince Polly Mason that she still controls what happens inside her head, I'm not convinced she succeeded.”
Eddie Ellington: “She left her on the floor for ten.”
Johnny Michaels: “And Polly got back up after the bell.”
Eddie Ellington: “The match was already over.”
Johnny Michaels: “Exactly.”
Outside the ring, Polly Mason finally stands completely upright.
The crowd gives her a loud ovation.
She does not raise her arms.
Instead, she turns toward the entrance.
Concern for her brother returns immediately to her face.
Johnny Michaels: “And I don't believe Polly is thinking about Voss anymore.”
Eddie Ellington: “She should be.”
Johnny Michaels: “She's thinking about her family.”
Polly Mason begins walking slowly up the aisle.
She does not stop for the crowd.
She is clearly sore.
Clearly exhausted.
But moving under her own power.
Johnny Michaels: “Earlier tonight the Masons told us these were two outstanding matters they intended to close.”
Eddie Ellington: “Neither one closed the way they wanted.”
Johnny Michaels: “No.”
A pause.
Johnny Michaels: “Jack Mason lost to the Master of the Night under deeply suspicious circumstances. Now Polly Mason has been defeated by Dr. Violetta Voss after one of the hardest fights of her career.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's what Fallout does. Not every story ends happily because you gave a good interview first.”
Johnny Michaels: “True.”
The camera follows Polly toward the curtain.
Before disappearing backstage, she stops.
She turns once.
Looks back toward Dr. Voss.
Then shakes her head.
Polly disappears through the curtain.
Johnny Michaels: “A victory for Dr. Violetta Voss. But Polly Mason is still standing.”
Eddie Ellington: “After the ten-count.”
Johnny Michaels: “You were waiting to say that.”
Eddie Ellington: “For twenty-five minutes.”
Inside the ring, Dr. Voss gives a final satisfied look toward the backstage curtain.
Then exits through the opposite side.
The camera rises above the ring.
The crowd begins to buzz again.
Johnny Michaels: “And now only one match remains.”
The arena lighting begins changing.
Johnny Michaels: “Four men.”
A graphic appears across the screen.
Grondar the Revenant.
Santa Claus.
Infernus Rex.
Rudolph.
The North Pole Championship appears between them.
Johnny Michaels: “One North Pole Championship.”
Eddie Ellington: “And one champion who does not have to be beaten to lose it.”
Johnny Michaels: “The main event of Fallout 2026 is next.”
The Fallout 2026 logo fills the screen.
The broadcast returns live to Scrooge's Glacier Plex.
The camera begins high above the arena.
Thousands of fans are standing.
The ring sits beneath a wash of cold blue-white light, surrounded by the remnants of a night that has already seen championships retained, a historic title change, a demonic war explode beyond the bell, and the Mason family leave two deeply personal fights without the outcomes they wanted.
Now only one match remains.
At ringside, the NPCW North Pole Championship rests beneath its own spotlight beside the timekeeper.
Inside the ring, Honest Abe waits.
Celeste Orion stands near the ropes.
At the broadcast desk, Johnny Michaels looks toward the championship.
Johnny Michaels: “It began with four men believing they could leave Fallout as North Pole Champion. We have finally reached the main event.”
Eddie Ellington: “And if I'm Grondar the Revenant, I'm still furious.”
Johnny Michaels: “Because the champion does not have to be involved in the deciding fall to lose his championship.”
Eddie Ellington: “Exactly. Grondar could beat two men senseless while somebody else gets lucky across the ring. That's not a championship defense. That's trying to guard three doors at once.”
Johnny Michaels: “And yet earlier tonight Magnus Blackwell told Smooth Samantha that the Blackwell Syndicate sees three challengers as three targets.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's why I like Grondar.”
Johnny Michaels: “You have also spoken favorably about Infernus Rex.”
Eddie Ellington: “Of course I have. Look at him. I can appreciate more than one terrifying monster at a time.”
Johnny Michaels: “Only one of them can leave with the championship.”
Eddie Ellington: “Then I recommend everyone else move.”
The arena lights dim.
A bright red glow appears at the top of the entrance ramp.
A familiar pulse begins.
Then the crowd erupts.
Rudolph bursts through the curtain.
He stops at the top of the stage and looks immediately toward the ring.
There is energy in his movement, but there is also something harder beneath it tonight.
His eyes drift briefly toward the darkened entrance tunnel.
Johnny Michaels: “The first challenger is Rudolph, and this match is personal for him in more ways than one.”
Eddie Ellington: “He's ambitious. I'll give him that.”
Johnny Michaels: “This is also the first time tonight he may have the opportunity to get his hands on Infernus Rex in a major championship setting. Remember, it was Infernus Rex who injured Rudolph.”
Eddie Ellington: “And that's exactly why Rudolph needs to be careful. Revenge makes people stupid.”
Johnny Michaels: “It can also make them extraordinarily motivated.”
Rudolph starts down the aisle at a run.
He slaps hands on both sides of the barricade before sliding under the bottom rope.
He jumps onto the middle turnbuckle.
The crowd responds loudly.
Rudolph points toward the North Pole Championship.
Then he looks back toward the entrance.
His music fades.
The lights go out.
A low infernal rumble moves through the building.
Deep crimson illumination spreads across the stage.
The reaction instantly turns hostile.
Flames burst upward along the entrance platform.
Through the red light walks Infernus Rex.
The massive figure stops in the center of the stage.
His gaze moves immediately toward Rudolph.
Inside the ring, Rudolph steps forward.
Johnny Michaels: “Look at Rudolph.”
Eddie Ellington: “There it is. Exactly what I was talking about.”
Johnny Michaels: “He has not forgotten.”
Eddie Ellington: “Of course not. Infernus Rex put him on the shelf. But if Rudolph spends this match chasing revenge instead of the championship, he'll lose both.”
Infernus Rex begins walking down the aisle.
He never looks away from Rudolph.
At ringside, Infernus climbs onto the apron.
Rudolph moves toward him.
Honest Abe immediately orders Rudolph backward.
Infernus Rex steps through the ropes.
For several seconds, the two stare directly at one another.
Then the lights shift.
Warm white light fills the Glacier Plex.
Bells ring through the sound system.
The crowd erupts.
Santa Claus steps onto the stage.
The former North Pole Champion pauses beneath the entrance arch.
His expression is serious.
There is no bag.
No playful gesture.
No ceremonial presentation.
Tonight Santa Claus is here to reclaim a championship.
Johnny Michaels: “And here comes the man who lost that title to Grondar the Revenant at Polar Meltdown.”
Eddie Ellington: “Which means he has already had his chance.”
Johnny Michaels: “He earned another one.”
Eddie Ellington: “And management decided one challenger wasn't enough, so they added two more.”
Johnny Michaels: “Santa Claus has made it very clear that losing the North Pole Championship has not diminished his belief that he can defeat Grondar.”
Eddie Ellington: “Belief is free.”
Santa Claus walks down the aisle.
His eyes move between Rudolph and Infernus Rex.
At ringside, Santa climbs the steps and enters.
Rudolph gives him a short nod.
Santa returns it.
Infernus Rex watches both men.
The arena lights suddenly go black.
The crowd begins booing before the music even starts.
A heavy industrial rhythm pounds through the Glacier Plex.
Silver-white light cuts across the stage.
Magnus Blackwell steps through the curtain.
He stops.
Smiles.
Then gestures behind him.
Grondar the Revenant emerges.
The North Pole Championship is fastened around his waist.
The champion looks even larger beneath the stage lighting.
He does not look toward the crowd.
He looks at the ring.
At Santa Claus.
At Rudolph.
At Infernus Rex.
Eddie Ellington: “There is your champion.”
Johnny Michaels: “And Grondar faces the most dangerous defense of his reign.”
Eddie Ellington: “Which is ridiculous. But look at him. Does he look worried?”
Johnny Michaels: “No.”
Eddie Ellington: “Exactly.”
Magnus Blackwell starts walking.
Grondar follows.
As they reach ringside, Infernus Rex steps toward the ropes.
The two massive men stare at one another.
Magnus Blackwell looks up at Infernus.
Then toward Grondar.
The smile never leaves his face.
Grondar climbs onto the apron.
He steps through the ropes.
All four men now occupy the ring.
The crowd rises.
Celeste Orion moves into the center.
Celeste Orion: “Ladies and gentlemen, this is your MAIN EVENT of NPCW FALLOUT 2026!”
The Glacier Plex erupts.
Celeste Orion: “The following contest is a FATAL FOUR-WAY MATCH scheduled for one fall and is for the NPCW NORTH POLE CHAMPIONSHIP!”
Another roar.
Celeste Orion: “There are no count-outs. There are no disqualifications. The first competitor to score a pinfall or submission will be declared the winner and North Pole Champion!”
She turns toward the first challenger.
Celeste Orion: “Introducing first... RUDOLPH!”
Rudolph raises one arm.
Celeste Orion: “Next... INFERNUS REX!”
Infernus Rex remains motionless.
Celeste Orion: “And the third challenger... former North Pole Champion... SANTA CLAUS!”
The crowd erupts.
Finally, Celeste Orion turns toward the champion.
Celeste Orion: “And their opponent, accompanied to the ring by MAGNUS BLACKWELL... he is the reigning and defending NPCW NORTH POLE CHAMPION... GRONDAR THE REVENANT!”
Grondar removes the championship.
He raises it high.
The boos intensify.
Magnus Blackwell applauds from the floor.
Honest Abe takes the title and displays it to all four competitors.
The championship is handed outside.
Honest Abe backs away.
Four men look around the ring.
The bell rings.
Minute 1
Grondar the Revenant goes directly toward Santa Claus.
The former champion meets him.
Grondar catches Santa beneath the arms and powers him high overhead with a gorilla press.
Santa tries to shift his weight.
Grondar brings him down violently into a spinebuster slam.
Santa Claus absorbs the impact, rolls through and immediately catches Grondar as the champion advances.
Santa drives him across the ring with the Tinsel Toss belly-to-belly suplex.
Johnny Michaels: “The champion and former champion begin exactly where they left off!”
Eddie Ellington: “And look at Grondar. Santa throws him and he's already getting up.”
Johnny Michaels: “Neither man is easing into this.”
Eddie Ellington: “Why should Grondar? Put Santa down early and remove one threat.”
Minute 2
Across the ring, Rudolph moves toward Santa Claus as the former champion regains his feet.
Rudolph fires a quick double punch into Santa's upper chest.
Santa rocks backward.
He answers with the Reindeer Charge, driving his shoulder through Rudolph and sending him across the canvas.
Rudolph rolls back onto his feet.
Johnny Michaels: “No alliances guaranteed here. Rudolph and Santa may share history, but both want the same championship.”
Eddie Ellington: “Good. Sentiment gets you pinned.”
Johnny Michaels: “That shoulder block certainly reminded Rudolph of the stakes.”
Eddie Ellington: “And he better remember there are three men trying to beat him.”
Minute 3
Grondar the Revenant finds Santa Claus again.
He powers Santa overhead for another gorilla press into a spinebuster slam.
Santa hits hard.
The former champion gets back to his feet and catches Grondar charging.
Jingle Bell Buster.
The spinebuster drives the champion into the canvas.
Johnny Michaels: “Another huge exchange between Grondar and Santa.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's dangerous for Santa.”
Johnny Michaels: “He just landed the Jingle Bell Buster.”
Eddie Ellington: “And every minute he spends fighting Grondar is another minute Infernus or Rudolph can steal his opportunity.”
Minute 4
Grondar the Revenant turns toward Infernus Rex.
The crowd reacts immediately.
The champion locks around Infernus and attempts a vertical suplex.
Infernus Rex blocks it.
He drives his weight downward.
Then reverses the attempt.
Infernus spins through with the Hellgate Lariat.
The discus lariat crashes across Grondar's chest and knocks the champion backward.
Johnny Michaels: “And now the two monsters collide!”
Eddie Ellington: “This is the fight I wanted.”
Johnny Michaels: “Infernus Rex just stopped Grondar cold.”
Eddie Ellington: “Because Infernus may be the one man here who can match the champion for raw intimidation.”
Minute 5
Something strange happens.
Grondar, Santa Claus, and Rudolph all look toward Infernus Rex.
For one brief moment, there is an unspoken agreement.
All three attack.
Grondar catches Infernus by the ankle and twists into the Infernal Clutch.
Santa Claus steps in and delivers a sharp Good Tidings slap across Infernus's head.
Rudolph charges in with a head ram to the gut.
The crowd erupts as Infernus Rex is overwhelmed from three directions.
Johnny Michaels: “Everyone is targeting Infernus Rex!”
Eddie Ellington: “Smart.”
Johnny Michaels: “Even Grondar recognizes the danger.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's not fear. That's strategy. If three men are stupid enough to stand next to you, use them.”
Minute 6
The temporary alliance continues.
Santa Claus grabs Infernus Rex and drives him down with the Sleigh Ride Slam.
As Infernus tries to sit up, Rudolph races across the ring and launches a flying dropkick into his chest.
Grondar stands nearby, watching rather than wasting energy.
The three-way assault finally breaks apart.
Johnny Michaels: “Infernus Rex has taken an enormous amount of punishment across these two minutes.”
Eddie Ellington: “And Grondar did the smartest thing there. He let the other two do some of the work.”
Johnny Michaels: “You approve of that?”
Eddie Ellington: “He's defending a championship, not applying for sainthood.”
Minute 7
Santa Claus stays on Infernus Rex.
He hooks the head.
Christmas Cracker.
The DDT drives Infernus into the canvas.
Santa covers.
One!
Infernus Rex kicks out.
Johnny Michaels: “Only one, but Santa tests him early.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's an insult to Infernus Rex. You don't put that man away after one DDT.”
Johnny Michaels: “It forced the kickout.”
Eddie Ellington: “And probably made him angry.”
Minute 8
Santa Claus moves toward Rudolph.
He climbs and comes down with Down the Chimney, the big splash crashing across Rudolph.
Rudolph rolls through the impact.
He gets upright and catches Santa with a Reindeer Kick, the mule kick knocking the former champion backward.
Johnny Michaels: “Again, no alliance between Santa and Rudolph.”
Eddie Ellington: “As it should be.”
Johnny Michaels: “They know only one man leaves champion.”
Eddie Ellington: “Now somebody explain that to the crowd.”
Minute 9
Rudolph turns.
Infernus Rex is waiting.
The atmosphere changes immediately.
Infernus swings the Hellgate Lariat.
Rudolph takes the blow but fires back with a headbutt.
The challenger drives his forehead into Infernus's face and then immediately tries to stay on him.
There is noticeably more urgency in Rudolph's attack.
Johnny Michaels: “And look at Rudolph now! Every time he gets near Infernus Rex, there is another level of intensity.”
Eddie Ellington: “Because Rudolph remembers being injured.”
Johnny Michaels: “It was Infernus Rex who put him out, and Rudolph has clearly carried that memory into this match.”
Eddie Ellington: “Which makes him dangerous and reckless at the same time.”
Minute 10
Now Rudolph becomes the target.
Grondar the Revenant, Infernus Rex, and Santa Claus converge.
Grondar drives a headbutt into Rudolph.
Infernus grabs him and snaps him down with a reverse neckbreaker.
Santa follows with the Christmas Cracker DDT.
Rudolph collapses.
The moment the triple attack ends, all three men step away from one another.
Johnny Michaels: “This is the danger of the Fatal Four-Way. Alliances exist for seconds.”
Eddie Ellington: “And Rudolph just learned what happens when three bigger men decide you're convenient.”
Johnny Michaels: “That was a brutal sequence.”
Eddie Ellington: “Welcome to the main event.”
Minute 11
Santa Claus catches Infernus Rex again.
Another Christmas Cracker drives Infernus down.
Santa covers.
One!
Two!
Infernus Rex kicks out.
Johnny Michaels: “Two this time!”
Eddie Ellington: “All right. Now Santa has his attention.”
Johnny Michaels: “That was the closest fall so far.”
Eddie Ellington: “And Infernus still kicked out cleanly.”
Minute 12
Infernus Rex gets upright.
He catches Santa Claus and lifts him into a Falcon Arrow.
Santa crashes down.
The former champion gets up and answers by grabbing Infernus around the waist.
Tinsel Toss.
Both men are down.
Johnny Michaels: “Neither Santa nor Infernus is giving ground.”
Eddie Ellington: “And I love it. Let them wear each other out while Grondar watches.”
Johnny Michaels: “The champion is staying very aware of where everyone is.”
Eddie Ellington: “Exactly what Magnus Blackwell promised.”
Minute 13
This time Santa Claus becomes the common target.
Rudolph charges with a head ram to the gut.
Grondar the Revenant follows with a European uppercut.
Infernus Rex catches Santa and plants him with a Future Shock DDT.
But Santa fights through the barrage.
He grabs Rudolph and throws him with another Tinsel Toss before staggering toward the ropes.
Johnny Michaels: “Three men attack Santa, and he still manages to answer.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's experience.”
Johnny Michaels: “You complimented Santa.”
Eddie Ellington: “Don't make it a moment.”
Minute 14
Infernus Rex turns toward Grondar the Revenant.
The two collide again.
Infernus lifts Grondar and drives him down with a gutwrench powerbomb.
The champion rolls through.
He gets to his feet and explodes forward with a spear.
Infernus is driven backward.
Johnny Michaels: “Powerbomb from Infernus! Spear from Grondar!”
Eddie Ellington: “This is magnificent.”
Johnny Michaels: “You sound delighted.”
Eddie Ellington: “Two monsters trying to prove which one is worse. What's not to enjoy?”
Minute 15
Grondar the Revenant stalks Rudolph.
Rudolph keeps moving.
The champion reaches for him, but Rudolph absorbs the pressure and stays out of a clean finishing position.
The two reset.
Johnny Michaels: “A brief stalemate between Grondar and Rudolph.”
Eddie Ellington: “And that's a victory for Rudolph. If Grondar gets both hands on you, things become unpleasant quickly.”
Johnny Michaels: “The champion is looking increasingly focused on isolating someone.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's how you win.”
Minute 16
Infernus Rex and Grondar collide once more.
Infernus gets the champion up.
Gutwrench powerbomb.
Grondar hits hard.
He gets back up and fires a European uppercut into Infernus's jaw.
Infernus rocks backward.
Johnny Michaels: “Again these two trade power.”
Eddie Ellington: “Neither wants to concede that the other is stronger.”
Johnny Michaels: “And neither appears willing to avoid the confrontation.”
Eddie Ellington: “Good. I don't want either of them becoming reasonable now.”
Minute 17
Grondar the Revenant catches Rudolph.
The champion lifts him vertically.
Then drives him down with The Aftermath.
The Jackhammer sends Rudolph crashing into the canvas.
Rudolph absorbs the punishment but remains down.
Johnny Michaels: “THE AFTERMATH!”
Eddie Ellington: “That's the move!”
Johnny Michaels: “Grondar did not get the cover.”
Eddie Ellington: “Too many bodies moving around. That's the problem with this ridiculous match.”
Minute 18
Infernus Rex and Rudolph suddenly attempt to work together against Grondar.
Infernus grabs the champion for a reverse neckbreaker.
Rudolph moves beside him, trying to add momentum to the attack.
But the cooperation is uncomfortable from the beginning.
Rudolph keeps one eye on the man who injured him.
Grondar takes advantage.
The champion powers through and neutralizes the double-team before either man can complete it.
Johnny Michaels: “Rudolph and Infernus tried to cooperate, but look at Rudolph. He never fully trusted it.”
Eddie Ellington: “Why would he? Infernus Rex injured him.”
Johnny Michaels: “That history made the alliance unstable before it even began.”
Eddie Ellington: “And Grondar was smart enough to exploit it.”
Minute 19
The temporary alliance tries again.
Infernus Rex catches Grondar with a Future Shock DDT.
Rudolph, still clearly fueled by anger whenever he is near Infernus, drives a headbutt toward the champion during the confusion.
Grondar refuses to stay down.
He grabs Rudolph and throws him with a pumphandle slam.
Johnny Michaels: “Rudolph is trying to use Infernus long enough to get at Grondar, but he still cannot take his eyes off the man who injured him.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's why revenge is bad strategy.”
Johnny Michaels: “And Grondar punishes the hesitation with the pumphandle slam.”
Eddie Ellington: “Perfect.”
Minute 20
Grondar the Revenant gets Rudolph again.
The champion lifts him.
Another Aftermath.
Rudolph crashes into the canvas.
Johnny Michaels: “A second Aftermath on Rudolph!”
Eddie Ellington: “Cover him!”
Johnny Michaels: “Again, bodies are moving and Grondar cannot immediately secure the fall.”
Eddie Ellington: “This match is conspiring against the champion.”
Minute 21
Infernus Rex finds Grondar.
He explodes forward with the Burning Hammer, the running forearm smash crashing into the champion's upper body.
Grondar answers with a European uppercut.
But when the champion comes down from the exchange, his movement changes.
He reaches toward his side.
Johnny Michaels: “Something happened to Grondar there.”
Eddie Ellington: “No.”
Johnny Michaels: “The champion is hurt.”
Eddie Ellington: “He got clipped by Infernus's forearm and landed awkwardly. That's bad.”
Minute 22
Grondar the Revenant tries to straighten.
He cannot defend properly.
Rudolph recognizes it instantly.
The challenger launches a cross body block into the champion.
Grondar falls backward.
Johnny Michaels: “Rudolph attacks the injured champion!”
Eddie Ellington: “Of course he does. I hate it, but that's the correct decision.”
Johnny Michaels: “Grondar is unable to defend himself normally right now.”
Eddie Ellington: “And this is the exact nightmare Magnus Blackwell worried about.”
Minute 23
Grondar remains hurt.
Rudolph stays on him.
The challenger fires a double punch into the champion's chest.
Grondar absorbs the strike but cannot answer immediately.
Johnny Michaels: “Rudolph keeps pressing the injury.”
Eddie Ellington: “Finish it or move, because there are two other men waiting to steal this.”
Johnny Michaels: “The champion is vulnerable for the first time.”
Eddie Ellington: “And I don't like it.”
Minute 24
Santa Claus enters the opening.
He climbs.
Down the Chimney.
The big splash crashes across the injured Grondar.
Santa covers.
One!
Two!
Grondar the Revenant kicks out.
The crowd erupts.
Eddie Ellington: “YES!”
Johnny Michaels: “The champion survives!”
Eddie Ellington: “Injured, three challengers, and he still kicks out.”
Johnny Michaels: “That may have been Santa's best opportunity so far.”
Minute 25
Santa Claus turns toward Infernus Rex.
Santa catches him with another Tinsel Toss.
Infernus rolls through and answers with a Future Shock DDT.
Both men fall.
Johnny Michaels: “While Grondar tries to recover, Santa and Infernus take each other out.”
Eddie Ellington: “Good for the champion.”
Johnny Michaels: “You make no attempt to hide it.”
Eddie Ellington: “Never claimed to.”
Minute 26
Grondar the Revenant forces himself upright.
Infernus Rex sees him.
The two meet.
Grondar lifts Infernus and drives him down with The Aftermath.
Infernus responds during the scramble by muscling Grondar into another gutwrench powerbomb.
The champion recovers first and covers Infernus.
One! Two!
Santa Claus dives in and breaks the cover.
Johnny Michaels: “Santa saves the match!”
Eddie Ellington: “He saved himself. Grondar had Infernus beaten.”
Johnny Michaels: “And that's the Fatal Four-Way.”
Eddie Ellington: “I know. I still don't have to like it.”
Minute 27
Now Rudolph becomes the target again.
Santa Claus drives him backward with the Reindeer Charge.
Grondar follows with a clothesline.
Infernus Rex throws Rudolph with a Northern Lights suplex.
Rudolph refuses to stay down.
He launches a cross body block into the group, knocking bodies in every direction.
Johnny Michaels: “Three-on-one again, but Rudolph fights his way out!”
Eddie Ellington: “He has heart.”
Johnny Michaels: “You've said that before.”
Eddie Ellington: “Heart doesn't mean I think he's winning.”
Minute 28
The three-man attack continues briefly.
Santa Claus hits another Reindeer Charge.
Grondar throws Rudolph with a vertical suplex.
Infernus Rex reaches down and applies the Molten Grip vice claw.
Rudolph fights back with a headbutt, forcing separation.
The moment he sees Infernus, the challenger's intensity rises again.
Johnny Michaels: “Even after being attacked by all three men, Rudolph's anger spikes the moment Infernus Rex touches him.”
Eddie Ellington: “Because he remembers the injury.”
Johnny Michaels: “He will not let Infernus dominate him again.”
Eddie Ellington: “Then he better stop getting trapped in that claw.”
Minute 29
Infernus Rex and Grondar the Revenant meet once more.
Infernus plants the champion with the Future Shock DDT.
Grondar rises and answers with a clothesline that knocks Infernus backward.
Johnny Michaels: “These two are still trying to prove superiority.”
Eddie Ellington: “And neither is willing to concede anything.”
Johnny Michaels: “Meanwhile Santa and Rudolph are recovering.”
Eddie Ellington: “Which means one of these monsters needs to finish the other quickly.”
Minute 30
Infernus Rex turns.
Rudolph is there.
For a moment, Rudolph's entire focus narrows.
He charges at the man who injured him.
Infernus catches him.
Falcon Arrow.
Rudolph is driven hard into the canvas.
Infernus Rex covers.
One!
Rudolph kicks out.
Johnny Michaels: “Infernus Rex catches the charging Rudolph!”
Eddie Ellington: “That's exactly what I've been warning about. Rudolph saw Infernus, forgot the championship for one second, and got planted.”
Johnny Michaels: “But Rudolph kicks out.”
Eddie Ellington: “Because revenge hasn't knocked all the sense out of him yet.”
Minute 31
Santa Claus turns into Grondar the Revenant.
The champion explodes with a spear.
Santa crashes down.
Grondar covers.
One! Two!
Rudolph dives in and breaks the pin.
Johnny Michaels: “Rudolph saves the match!”
Eddie Ellington: “Again! Grondar had it!”
Johnny Michaels: “And Rudolph understood that if Santa stayed down, the championship stayed with Grondar.”
Eddie Ellington: “I'm beginning to dislike Rudolph's situational awareness.”
Minute 32
For the second time, Grondar becomes the common target.
Santa Claus hits the Sleigh Ride Slam.
Infernus Rex follows with a Falcon Arrow.
Rudolph launches himself across Grondar with a cross body block.
The champion fights through the barrage and catches Santa with a clothesline as the temporary alliance breaks apart.
Johnny Michaels: “Three men attacking the champion!”
Eddie Ellington: “Because they know who the biggest threat is.”
Johnny Michaels: “And Grondar still finds a way to fight back.”
Eddie Ellington: “Perfect weapon.”
Minute 33
The assault continues.
Santa Claus grabs Grondar and throws him through the ropes to the floor.
As the champion spills outside, Infernus Rex catches him near ringside and drives him down with a gutwrench powerbomb.
Rudolph follows with another cross body attack.
Grondar is overwhelmed.
Johnny Michaels: “The champion is being assaulted from every direction.”
Eddie Ellington: “This is exactly why the match is unfair.”
Johnny Michaels: “Those are the rules.”
Eddie Ellington: “Still unfair.”
Minute 34
Back inside, Santa Claus and Rudolph collide.
Santa charges with the Reindeer Charge.
Rudolph answers in motion with a cross body block.
Both men hit the canvas.
Johnny Michaels: “Santa and Rudolph take each other down.”
Eddie Ellington: “Good. Grondar needs time.”
Johnny Michaels: “The champion is slowly recovering outside.”
Eddie Ellington: “And so is Infernus. That's bad news for everyone else.”
Minute 35
Grondar the Revenant returns to the ring.
He catches Rudolph.
The champion drives him down with a pumphandle slam.
Grondar covers.
One!
Rudolph kicks out.
Johnny Michaels: “Only one!”
Eddie Ellington: “After everything Rudolph has taken, that is impressive.”
Johnny Michaels: “Three Aftermaths earlier in the match, repeated triple-team attacks, and he is still fighting.”
Eddie Ellington: “Fine. I'll give him that.”
Minute 36
Rudolph forces himself up.
Grondar advances.
Rudolph fires a double punch into the champion's chest.
Grondar tries to absorb it but is knocked backward.
Johnny Michaels: “Rudolph still has fight left.”
Eddie Ellington: “Too much, frankly.”
Johnny Michaels: “He is refusing to let this opportunity disappear.”
Eddie Ellington: “Then Grondar needs to take it away from him.”
Minute 37
All four men converge in the ring.
Everything breaks loose.
Grondar the Revenant grabs Rudolph, lifts him high overhead and drives him down with another gorilla press into a spinebuster slam.
Santa Claus catches Infernus Rex and plants him with the Jingle Bell Buster.
Infernus recovers and catches Santa with a reverse neckbreaker.
Rudolph, fighting through the damage, kicks Infernus through the ropes and out to the floor.
The crowd erupts.
Johnny Michaels: “Everything is happening at once!”
Eddie Ellington: “There isn't enough room in the ring for this!”
Johnny Michaels: “Rudolph just sent Infernus Rex outside, and look at the urgency again. Any chance Rudolph gets to strike the man who injured him, he takes it.”
Eddie Ellington: “And he'd better remember Grondar is still standing behind him.”
Minute 38
Santa Claus turns toward Infernus Rex as the infernal challenger returns.
Infernus catches Santa by the head.
The Molten Grip vice claw clamps down.
Santa tries to pull the hand away.
Infernus forces him toward one knee.
Johnny Michaels: “Molten Grip on Santa Claus.”
Eddie Ellington: “This is why I like Infernus Rex. He doesn't need ten moves. Sometimes he just grabs you.”
Johnny Michaels: “Santa is in trouble.”
Eddie Ellington: “And Grondar is watching.”
Minute 39
Grondar the Revenant moves toward Santa Claus.
The champion drives a headbutt into the former champion.
Santa drops.
Grondar covers.
One!
Santa Claus kicks out.
Johnny Michaels: “Only one!”
Eddie Ellington: “This is becoming absurd. How many people does Grondar have to put down?”
Johnny Michaels: “All three, long enough to secure a fall.”
Eddie Ellington: “I know the rule. I resent the rule.”
Minute 40
Infernus Rex and Grondar meet again.
Infernus charges with the Burning Hammer running forearm.
Grondar catches the arm and reverses.
The champion tries to lift Infernus into the gorilla press spinebuster.
Infernus slips free.
He attempts a gutwrench powerbomb.
Grondar reverses again.
The champion catches Infernus and drives him down with a pumphandle slam.
Grondar covers.
One!
Two!
Infernus Rex kicks out.
The crowd erupts.
Johnny Michaels: “What a sequence!”
Eddie Ellington: “That was monster chess.”
Johnny Michaels: “Three consecutive reversals and Grondar nearly pinned Infernus Rex.”
Eddie Ellington: “And Infernus still survived. These are the two men I told you to watch.”
Minute 41
Infernus Rex gets up first.
He catches Grondar.
Gutwrench powerbomb.
The champion crashes hard.
This time Grondar cannot immediately answer.
Johnny Michaels: “Infernus Rex returns to the gutwrench powerbomb.”
Eddie Ellington: “That man is terrifying.”
Johnny Michaels: “You may be the only commentator capable of openly supporting both men trying to destroy each other.”
Eddie Ellington: “I appreciate excellence.”
Minute 42
Grondar the Revenant rises and charges Rudolph.
The champion swings a clothesline.
Rudolph ducks.
He catches the arm, turns through and neutralizes the attack.
Both men reset.
Johnny Michaels: “Excellent defense by Rudolph.”
Eddie Ellington: “He saw it coming.”
Johnny Michaels: “After forty-two minutes, he is still reading the champion.”
Eddie Ellington: “Which is why Grondar needs something bigger.”
Minute 43
All four competitors converge again.
Rudolph fires a double punch into Infernus Rex.
The moment is personal, the challenger driving forward with added intensity against the man who injured him.
Infernus answers by catching Santa Claus with a reverse neckbreaker.
Santa rebounds and drives Grondar backward with the Reindeer Charge.
Grondar answers with a European uppercut that catches Rudolph.
Bodies scatter.
Johnny Michaels: “Again, Rudolph goes straight for Infernus Rex when the opportunity appears.”
Eddie Ellington: “He's carrying that injury with him emotionally.”
Johnny Michaels: “And physically he has answered Infernus every chance he gets tonight.”
Eddie Ellington: “Until Infernus answers back.”
Minute 44
Rudolph sees Infernus Rex isolated.
He runs toward the ropes.
He launches with the Guiding Light flying body press.
Infernus reads it.
He steps aside and catches enough of Rudolph's momentum to neutralize the attack.
Rudolph hits the canvas.
Johnny Michaels: “Rudolph wanted Guiding Light on Infernus Rex!”
Eddie Ellington: “Too eager.”
Johnny Michaels: “Again, the history between them drives Rudolph into a high-risk attack.”
Eddie Ellington: “And Infernus knew exactly how badly Rudolph wanted him.”
Minute 45
Rudolph gets up.
Infernus Rex closes in.
The two fight near the ropes.
Rudolph catches Infernus with a hard kick that sends him spilling toward the crowd side of the barricade.
The fans erupt.
Rudolph tries to follow.
Infernus recovers immediately.
He catches the charging challenger.
Gutwrench powerbomb.
Rudolph crashes hard.
Johnny Michaels: “Rudolph sends Infernus toward the crowd, but he goes after him again!”
Eddie Ellington: “And that's the mistake!”
Johnny Michaels: “Infernus Rex catches him with the powerbomb!”
Eddie Ellington: “I told you. Rudolph's need to settle the score with the man who injured him just cost him badly.”
Minute 46
Rudolph struggles back toward the ring.
He pulls himself onto the apron.
He rolls beneath the bottom rope.
Infernus Rex remains outside recovering from the exchange.
Santa Claus is down near another side of the ring.
And waiting inside is Grondar the Revenant.
Johnny Michaels: “Rudolph doesn't see the champion!”
Eddie Ellington: “Now, Grondar!”
Rudolph gets to one knee.
Grondar grabs him.
The champion pulls Rudolph upright.
He lifts.
The crowd rises.
THE AFTERMATH!
The Jackhammer drives Rudolph into the canvas.
Johnny Michaels: “THE AFTERMATH!”
Eddie Ellington: “COVER HIM!”
Grondar the Revenant hooks the leg.
Santa Claus realizes what is happening.
He starts crawling toward the cover.
One!
Infernus Rex grabs the apron.
Two!
Santa lunges.
He is too far away.
Three!
The bell rings.
The Glacier Plex erupts.
Eddie Ellington: “HE DID IT!”
Johnny Michaels: “GRONDAR RETAINS!”
Grondar the Revenant releases the leg and rolls onto one knee.
He looks down at Rudolph.
Then toward Santa Claus.
Then toward Infernus Rex.
The champion has survived all three.
At ringside, Magnus Blackwell throws both arms outward and laughs.
Johnny Michaels: “Forty-six minutes! The North Pole Champion has survived the Fatal Four-Way!”
Eddie Ellington: “Exactly like Magnus Blackwell promised! Three challengers became three targets!”
Johnny Michaels: “And the closing sequence tells the story. Rudolph had just been battling Infernus Rex, the man who injured him. He pursued that fight with everything he had, Infernus caught him with the gutwrench powerbomb, and when Rudolph returned to the ring, Grondar was waiting.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's championship awareness. Grondar did not care why Rudolph was hurt. He saw the opening and ended the match.”
Honest Abe retrieves the North Pole Championship.
Magnus Blackwell enters the ring.
Celeste Orion steps forward.
Celeste Orion: “Ladies and gentlemen, your winner... and STILL NPCW NORTH POLE CHAMPION... GRONDAR THE REVENANT!”
The crowd boos loudly.
Honest Abe hands the championship to Grondar.
The champion takes it.
For a moment, he simply looks at the gold.
Then raises it high above his head.
Magnus Blackwell stands beside him, applauding.
GRONDAR THE REVENANT DEFEATS RUDOLPH, SANTA CLAUS, AND INFERNUS REX VIA PINFALL ON RUDOLPH AT THE 46:00 MINUTE MARK TO RETAIN THE NORTH POLE CHAMPIONSHIP.
Johnny Michaels: “No argument tonight about whether Grondar could survive multiple challengers. He did.”
Eddie Ellington: “Injured in the middle of the match.”
Johnny Michaels: “Yes.”
Eddie Ellington: “Attacked three-on-one multiple times.”
Johnny Michaels: “Yes.”
Eddie Ellington: “Had Santa break up a pin on Infernus.”
Johnny Michaels: “Yes.”
Eddie Ellington: “Had Rudolph break up a pin on Santa.”
Johnny Michaels: “Also yes.”
Eddie Ellington: “And who's holding the title?”
Johnny Michaels: “Grondar the Revenant.”
Eddie Ellington: “Thank you.”
Across the ring, Rudolph begins to sit up.
He looks frustrated.
Exhausted.
His eyes drift toward Infernus Rex outside the ring.
Infernus is back on his feet.
For several seconds, they stare at one another.
Johnny Michaels: “And look at Rudolph.”
Eddie Ellington: “He knows.”
Johnny Michaels: “He spent much of this match carrying that unresolved issue with Infernus Rex. Every time those two came together, Rudolph attacked with something extra.”
Eddie Ellington: “Because Infernus injured him. I understand it.”
Johnny Michaels: “But in the end, that history mattered.”
Eddie Ellington: “It cost him.”
Johnny Michaels: “At least tonight, yes.”
Rudolph continues staring at Infernus.
Infernus Rex gives him no gesture of respect.
No nod.
Nothing.
He simply turns away.
Rudolph's jaw tightens.
Johnny Michaels: “I do not believe that issue is finished.”
Eddie Ellington: “Of course it isn't. Rudolph didn't get the revenge and he didn't get the championship.”
Nearby, Santa Claus is pulling himself upright against the ropes.
He looks toward Grondar.
The champion sees him.
Santa points toward the title.
Grondar raises it.
No words are exchanged.
Johnny Michaels: “And Santa Claus came close himself. He had the champion down for two during that injury stretch.”
Eddie Ellington: “But close isn't champion.”
Johnny Michaels: “No.”
Eddie Ellington: “And Santa has now failed to reclaim the championship.”
Johnny Michaels: “Tonight, yes.”
Magnus Blackwell steps between Grondar and the rest of the ring.
He points toward Santa Claus.
Then toward Rudolph.
Then toward Infernus Rex.
Finally he points toward Grondar.
The message is obvious.
Johnny Michaels: “That is exactly the message Magnus Blackwell delivered earlier.”
Eddie Ellington: “The perfect weapon.”
Johnny Michaels: “Whether anyone likes the description or not, Grondar delivered tonight.”
Eddie Ellington: “He beat the former champion, the infernal monster, and the angry reindeer all in one night.”
Johnny Michaels: “Technically he pinned Rudolph.”
Eddie Ellington: “Don't ruin a good sentence.”
Grondar the Revenant climbs onto the middle turnbuckle.
The North Pole Championship rises above his head.
Magnus Blackwell stands below him.
The crowd continues booing.
The camera moves around the ring.
Santa Claus remains against one set of ropes.
Rudolph sits near another corner.
Infernus Rex stands on the floor.
All three are looking toward the champion.
Johnny Michaels: “Four men entered this main event with very different motivations.”
The camera shows Santa Claus.
Johnny Michaels: “Santa Claus wanted the championship he lost.”
The camera moves toward Rudolph.
Johnny Michaels: “Rudolph wanted the greatest championship opportunity of his career and, whenever the chance arose, another measure of retribution against the man who injured him.”
The shot finds Infernus Rex.
Johnny Michaels: “Infernus Rex wanted to extend the power he has already begun displaying throughout the Polar Division.”
Then the camera centers on Grondar.
Johnny Michaels: “But Grondar the Revenant came in as North Pole Champion.”
A pause.
Johnny Michaels: “And Grondar the Revenant leaves Fallout as North Pole Champion.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's the only sentence that matters.”
Grondar steps down from the turnbuckle.
Magnus Blackwell takes position beside him.
The champion raises the belt one final time.
The main-event graphic fills the screen.
GRONDAR THE REVENANT — STILL NORTH POLE CHAMPION
Johnny Michaels: “What a main event.”
Eddie Ellington: “What a champion.”
Johnny Michaels: “And what a night at Fallout.”
The camera pulls higher above the ring as Grondar the Revenant stands in the center of Scrooge's Glacier Plex, championship raised above three defeated challengers.
The Fallout 2026 logo begins to appear across the screen.
The camera remains high above Scrooge's Glacier Plex as Grondar the Revenant disappears through the curtain with the North Pole Championship still in his possession.
At the broadcast desk, Johnny Michaels and Eddie Ellington look back toward the ring.
Johnny Michaels: “What a night.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's one way to put it.”
Johnny Michaels: “Five championship matches. A new Queen of the North. A Universal Champion pushed thirty-five minutes. A North Pole Champion surviving three challengers. And several rivalries that somehow became even more personal before Fallout was over.”
Eddie Ellington: “You forgot the part where I was right about several things.”
Johnny Michaels: “I was intentionally keeping this brief.”
Eddie Ellington: “Rude.”
Johnny Michaels: “The Ultimate Beasts remain Universal Tag Team Champions. The Blonde Bombshells remain North Star Tag Team Champions. Ghost of Christmas Past turned back Big Bad Wolf and remains Universal Champion.”
Eddie Ellington: “And Lilith made history.”
Johnny Michaels: “She did. Lilith became the first three-time Queen of the North Champion, although I suspect Crimson Vane will have plenty to say about Count Vlad's involvement.”
Eddie Ellington: “And about Emberlyn Black and Velora Synn, apparently.”
Johnny Michaels: “That championship picture became crowded very quickly.”
The camera briefly shows highlights from the night.
Krampus pinning Marax the Deceiver.
Infernus Rex appearing on the JumboTron.
Jack Frost hitting the ring.
Mari Lwyd attacking Abaddon.
Security separating both sides.
Johnny Michaels: “The war surrounding Krampus, Marax, and Infernus Rex expanded dramatically tonight.”
Eddie Ellington: “Expanded? We ended up with six people trying to tear each other apart.”
The highlights change.
The mysterious woman appears on the screen.
Jack Mason turns.
The loaded-glove uppercut lands.
Johnny Michaels: “And perhaps no unanswered question is bigger than the one surrounding Jack Mason.”
Eddie Ellington: “Who was the woman?”
Johnny Michaels: “We don't know.”
Eddie Ellington: “And Jack won't stop until he does.”
The footage changes again.
Dr. Violetta Voss stands after the ten-count while Polly Mason remains down.
Johnny Michaels: “Dr. Violetta Voss defeated Polly Mason in a brutal Last Woman Standing Match.”
Eddie Ellington: “One family, two losses.”
Johnny Michaels: “But I don't believe either Mason considers the matter finished.”
Finally, the replay returns to the main event.
Grondar the Revenant drives Rudolph down with The Aftermath.
One. Two. Three.
Johnny Michaels: “And in our main event, Grondar the Revenant survived forty-six minutes against Santa Claus, Rudolph, and Infernus Rex.”
Eddie Ellington: “The perfect weapon.”
Johnny Michaels: “Tonight, he certainly looked like one.”
The camera returns live.
The ring is empty now.
The crowd remains standing.
Johnny Michaels: “Fallout was supposed to settle championships, rivalries, and personal scores.”
He pauses.
Johnny Michaels: “Some were settled.”
Another pause.
Johnny Michaels: “Others may have only begun.”
Eddie Ellington: “That's good for us.”
Johnny Michaels: “Why?”
Eddie Ellington: “Job security.”
Johnny Michaels laughs.
Johnny Michaels: “For Eddie Ellington, Celeste Orion, Smooth Samantha Satin, and everyone behind the scenes at NPCW, I'm Johnny Michaels.”
The camera slowly pulls away from the arena.
Johnny Michaels: “Thank you for joining us for FALLOUT 2026.”
Eddie Ellington: “And somebody check whether our announce table survived.”
Johnny Michaels: “Good night from Scrooge's Glacier Plex.”
The NPCW FALLOUT 2026 logo fills the screen.
The broadcast fades to black.
The interlude opens well after Jack Mason's No Disqualification Match with the Master of the Night.
Fallout 2026 is still underway.
The sounds of the event can be heard faintly through the walls of a private backstage medical room inside Scrooge's Glacier Plex.
Jack sits on the edge of an examination table.
He has changed out of most of his wrestling gear, but there is nothing relaxed about him.
A dark shirt has been pulled over his torso.
His jaw is beginning to discolor where the loaded glove struck him.
A small cut near his mouth has been cleaned.
An ice pack sits untouched beside him.
His phone is in his hand.
On the screen:
SECURE CONNECTION FAILED
Jack presses the number again.
He listens.
Nothing.
He disconnects.
Dials again.
Across the room, Ace MacDougal watches him.
Flippers sits beside Ace on a chair, unusually quiet.
Ace MacDougal: “Jack…”
Jack raises one finger.
Not angrily.
Precisely.
Ace stops.
Jack listens to the phone.
Again—
Nothing.
He lowers it.
Mr. Mason: “That is seven.”
Ace MacDougal: “Aye.”
Mr. Mason: “Seven attempts.”
Ace MacDougal: “Van Helsing said communications into the outpost can be difficult while they're running secure.”
Jack looks at him.
His expression is perfectly controlled.
That somehow makes the concern behind it worse.
Mr. Mason: “I am aware of what Van Helsing said.”
A pause.
Mr. Mason: “I am also aware of what I saw.”
Ace exhales.
Ace MacDougal: “Ye didn't see Edie.”
Jack immediately looks toward him.
Ace corrects himself.
Ace MacDougal: “Ye saw someone who made ye think of Edie.”
Jack's eyes remain on him.
Mr. Mason: “For approximately three seconds.”
Ace says nothing.
Mr. Mason: “Three seconds were sufficient.”
Jack looks back at the phone.
Mr. Mason: “Which means either the Master of the Night possessed an extraordinary understanding of what I would see…”
He pauses.
Mr. Mason: “…or he possessed the genuine article.”
Ace shakes his head.
Ace MacDougal: “Night Watcher got her out. I saw her after. Van Helsing took custody himself. Carmilla was there.”
Mr. Mason: “And Castle Dracula was considered secure when she was originally taken.”
That silences Ace.
Jack places the phone carefully on his knee.
Mr. Mason: “Assumptions have proven expensive lately.”
Another roar from the Glacier Plex crowd filters through the walls.
Fallout continues without them.
Ace looks toward the door.
Ace MacDougal: “Medical wants ye transported for scans.”
Mr. Mason: “No.”
Ace MacDougal: “Jack—”
Mr. Mason: “When I have verified that my wife remains where we placed her, I will happily allow someone to photograph the inside of my skull.”
Flippers chirps softly.
Jack looks down at him.
There is the smallest softening in his face.
He reaches over and scratches the penguin beneath the chin.
Mr. Mason: “Thank you, Flippers.”
Flippers chirps again.
Jack picks up the phone.
Dials.
SECURE CONNECTION FAILED.
Jack watches the message disappear.
Then sets the phone beside him.
His voice becomes almost conversational.
Mr. Mason: “Very well.”
Ace knows that tone.
Ace MacDougal: “What?”
Jack looks toward the television mounted in the corner.
The Fallout broadcast continues.
Mr. Mason: “The show is not finished.”
Ace MacDougal: “No.”
Mr. Mason: “Then perhaps someone would prefer I remain unable to reach the Enclave until it is.”
Ace studies him.
Ace MacDougal: “Or perhaps ye can't reach them because the show isn't finished.”
Jack considers that.
Then nods.
Mr. Mason: “Also possible.”
He retrieves the ice pack.
Places it against his jaw.
And waits.
Much later.
The Glacier Plex has changed.
The crowd has departed.
Production crews dismantle equipment in the distance.
Arena music no longer plays.
The corridors are quiet.
Jack remains in the same room.
Ace has fallen asleep in a chair.
Flippers is asleep against his side.
Jack is not.
His phone rests in his hand.
The screen suddenly changes.
SECURE CONNECTION AVAILABLE
Jack immediately sits upright.
He presses the call button.
The connection rings once.
Twice.
Then—
A man's face appears.
The image is grainy for a moment before stabilizing.
Abraham Van Helsing.
Behind him are rough stone walls, reinforced doors and the low amber lighting of the Hunter's Enclave Arctic outpost.
Van Helsing: “Mason.”
Jack's response is immediate.
Mr. Mason: “Where is Edie?”
Van Helsing's expression changes.
Van Helsing: “Safe.”
Mr. Mason: “Where?”
Van Helsing: “Inside the compound.”
Mr. Mason: “Has she left?”
Van Helsing: “No.”
Jack stares at him.
Mr. Mason: “Has anyone removed her from your custody at any point tonight?”
Van Helsing: “No.”
Jack remains silent.
Van Helsing begins to understand.
Van Helsing: “What happened?”
Jack reaches for another phone lying beside him.
On it is a paused image from the Fallout broadcast.
The shadowed woman.
Long dark hair.
Black clothing.
Her face concealed.
Jack holds it toward the camera.
Mr. Mason: “This happened.”
Van Helsing studies the image.
His expression darkens.
Van Helsing: “Who is that?”
Mr. Mason: “That is precisely what I am attempting to determine.”
He lowers the second phone.
Mr. Mason: “During my match, she appeared on the arena screen.”
Van Helsing listens.
Mr. Mason: “She said my name.”
A pause.
Jack's voice becomes quieter.
Mr. Mason: “I believed it was Edie.”
Van Helsing looks directly at him.
Van Helsing: “It wasn't.”
Mr. Mason: “Show me.”
Van Helsing doesn't take offense.
He understands exactly what Jack means.
Van Helsing: “One moment.”
He turns away from the camera.
Van Helsing: “Carmilla.”
Footsteps approach.
Carmilla Nocturne enters the image.
She looks from Van Helsing to the phone.
Carmilla: “What has happened?”
Van Helsing: “Mason needs to see his wife.”
Carmilla's expression immediately changes.
She looks directly into the camera.
Carmilla: “Jack?”
Mr. Mason: “Please.”
One word.
Still controlled.
But Carmilla hears everything underneath it.
She nods.
Carmilla: “Stay there.”
The camera moves slightly as Van Helsing takes the phone.
Carmilla disappears through a reinforced doorway.
Jack watches.
Motionless.
Five seconds.
Ten.
Twenty.
Ace has awakened now.
He says nothing.
He simply comes to stand several feet behind Jack.
Flippers waddles closer.
Then footsteps return.
Carmilla reappears.
And beside her—
Edie Hartwell Mason.
Jack stops breathing for half a second.
Edie looks tired.
She is dressed comfortably rather than for travel.
There is no stage lighting.
No shadows obscuring her face.
No ambiguity.
It is Edie.
Safe.
Real.
She sees Jack on the screen.
Then sees the bruising around his jaw.
Edie: “Jack?”
Jack closes his eyes.
Just briefly.
When he opens them again, Mr. Mason remains.
But something enormous has released its grip on him.
Mr. Mason: “Hello, dear.”
Edie's expression tightens.
Edie: “What happened to your face?”
Jack almost smiles.
Mr. Mason: “An educational disagreement.”
From behind him, Ace closes his eyes and shakes his head.
Edie is not amused.
Edie: “Jack.”
Mr. Mason: “I lost.”
That surprises her.
Edie: “You lost?”
Mr. Mason: “Yes.”
A beat.
Mr. Mason: “There were mitigating circumstances.”
He picks up the second phone.
Shows the image.
Edie leans toward Carmilla's camera.
Her brow furrows.
Edie: “Who is that?”
Jack watches her reaction carefully.
Mr. Mason: “You tell me.”
Edie looks again.
Edie: “I don't know.”
Mr. Mason: “Have you left this compound tonight?”
Edie: “No.”
Mr. Mason: “At any point?”
Edie: “Jack, I haven't left since Van Helsing brought me here.”
Carmilla steps beside her.
Carmilla: “She has been within the protected section of the Enclave the entire evening.”
Jack turns his attention to Carmilla.
Mr. Mason: “You are certain?”
Carmilla's eyes narrow slightly.
Not offended.
Almost impressed by the question.
Carmilla: “Completely.”
Van Helsing steps back into view.
Van Helsing: “No breach. No missing personnel. No unauthorized departures.”
Jack looks at Edie again.
For several seconds, neither speaks.
Then Edie smiles softly.
Edie: “I'm here.”
Jack nods.
Mr. Mason: “Yes.”
Another pause.
Mr. Mason: “You are.”
Those three words carry more relief than anything else Jack has said.
Edie studies him.
Edie: “You really thought he'd taken me again.”
Jack doesn't answer immediately.
Then:
Mr. Mason: “For three seconds.”
Edie's face softens.
Mr. Mason: “I will not make that mistake twice.”
Edie: “Good.”
She points toward his jaw.
Edie: “And you're getting that looked at.”
Jack glances toward Ace.
Ace immediately nods vigorously.
Ace MacDougal: “Aye.”
Jack looks back at Edie.
Mr. Mason: “Apparently I am.”
Edie smiles.
Edie: “I love you.”
Mr. Mason's composure finally cracks—but only enough to allow the husband beneath it to answer.
Mr. Mason: “I love you too.”
Jack waits until Carmilla guides Edie away.
He watches until she disappears completely from view.
Only then does his posture change.
Not much.
But the concern is gone.
Now there is something else.
Concentration.
Van Helsing sees it immediately.
Van Helsing: “Mason.”
Jack raises the other phone again.
The shadowed woman fills its screen.
Mr. Mason: “If Edie never left your compound…”
Van Helsing: “She didn't.”
Jack studies the image.
Mr. Mason: “…then someone manufactured a counterfeit.”
Ace steps closer.
Ace MacDougal: “Could've been anybody with dark hair.”
Jack shakes his head.
Mr. Mason: “No.”
He enlarges the image.
Mr. Mason: “Not anybody.”
Ace looks at him.
Mr. Mason: “The hair.”
He enlarges another portion.
Mr. Mason: “The height.”
Another.
Mr. Mason: “The clothing.”
He lowers the phone.
Mr. Mason: “And the voice.”
Van Helsing's expression becomes more serious.
Van Helsing: “The voice matched Edie's?”
Jack thinks carefully before answering.
Mr. Mason: “No.”
Ace looks surprised.
Ace MacDougal: “Jack, ye thought—”
Mr. Mason: “I thought it was Edie.”
He looks directly at Ace.
Mr. Mason: “That is not the same thing.”
Silence.
Jack turns the replay sound on.
The whisper comes through the tiny speaker.
Mysterious Woman: “Jack…”
Jack stops it.
Mr. Mason: “One word.”
Carmilla, having returned to the room, hears it from off-camera.
She steps closer.
Carmilla: “Again.”
Jack plays it.
“Jack…”
Carmilla listens.
Her expression gives away nothing.
Mr. Mason: “Do you recognize her?”
Carmilla considers the question.
Carmilla: “No.”
Jack watches her closely.
She meets his eyes.
Carmilla: “And if I did, I would tell you.”
Jack accepts that.
Van Helsing folds his arms.
Van Helsing: “Then perhaps the voice was altered.”
Mr. Mason: “Perhaps.”
Van Helsing: “A recording.”
Mr. Mason: “Perhaps.”
Ace MacDougal: “Or some bloody trick from Dracula.”
Jack slowly turns toward Ace.
Mr. Mason: “That is the obvious conclusion.”
Ace waits.
Jack's eyes return to the woman.
Mr. Mason: “Which means I do not trust it.”
That gets Van Helsing's attention.
Van Helsing: “You believe someone else was involved?”
Jack taps the screen.
Mr. Mason: “Count Daculescu supplied the glove.”
Tap.
Mr. Mason: “The Master of the Night exploited the distraction.”
Tap.
Mr. Mason: “Someone gained access to the Fallout production feed.”
Another tap.
Mr. Mason: “And this woman supplied the image.”
Jack sets the phone down.
Mr. Mason: “That gives me three participants.”
Ace corrects him quietly.
Ace MacDougal: “At least.”
Jack looks at him.
A faint smile appears.
The smile of Mr. Mason.
Mr. Mason: “Very good.”
Van Helsing exhales.
He knows where this is going.
Van Helsing: “Mason, Edie is safe. That was your first concern.”
Jack nods.
Mr. Mason: “Correct.”
Van Helsing: “Then heal.”
Jack looks again at the frozen image.
Mr. Mason: “I intend to.”
He picks up the phone.
Mr. Mason: “But healing and thinking are not mutually exclusive.”
Ace sighs.
Ace MacDougal: “Here we go.”
Jack ignores him.
He speaks directly to Van Helsing.
Mr. Mason: “Keep Edie inside the compound.”
Van Helsing: “That was already the plan.”
Mr. Mason: “No visitors without your personal approval.”
Van Helsing: “Agreed.”
Mr. Mason: “And if anyone asks about tonight…”
A pause.
Mr. Mason: “…Edie remains exactly where everyone believes she is.”
Van Helsing understands.
Van Helsing: “You don't want whoever arranged this knowing you've confirmed her location.”
Mr. Mason: “Precisely.”
For the first time, Van Helsing almost smiles.
Van Helsing: “Good night, Mr. Mason.”
Mr. Mason: “Good night, Professor.”
The connection ends.
The room becomes quiet again.
Ace looks at Jack.
Ace MacDougal: “So.”
Jack places the phone on the table.
Ace MacDougal: “Edie's safe.”
Mr. Mason: “Yes.”
Ace smiles with obvious relief.
Ace MacDougal: “That's what matters.”
Jack nods.
Mr. Mason: “It is.”
He reaches for his jacket.
Ace thinks the conversation is finished.
Then Jack stops.
He looks once more at the frozen image of the woman from Fallout.
The shadowed face.
The dark hair.
The black clothing.
The figure responsible for three seconds of doubt.
Jack enlarges the image until it begins to pixelate.
Nothing useful appears.
No face.
No recognizable feature.
Just a woman who was never Edie.
Jack's voice becomes very quiet.
Mr. Mason: “Which leaves one question.”
Ace looks over his shoulder.
Ace MacDougal: “What's that?”
Jack stares at the screen.
A long silence.
Then:
Mr. Mason: “Who are you?”
CUT TO BLACK.
On the black screen, the woman's whisper from Fallout plays one final time.
“Jack…”
END INTERLUDE.
