Aired September 10, 2026
Cold open: grainy VHS-style footage. The Iron Ring Academy ring sits under harsh industrial lights. No pyro. No polish. The crowd is tight around the barricades, stomping on the floorboards, signs raised, voices already rough.
The camera opens inside the Iron Ring Academy.
No pyro. No glamour. No soft edges.
Just hard overhead lights, a low ceiling, concrete walls, floorboards shaking under the stomp of a close, impatient crowd, and the ring sitting in the center of the room like an examination table.
One line appears across the screen.
FINAL WEEK OF BLOCK COMPETITION
Then—
TONIGHT, THE SEMIFINAL FIELD IS DECIDED
The camera settles on Paul Redford and Dave “The Brute” Kent at the commentary desk.
Paul Redford: “Welcome to Iron Ring: The Crucible. We are live from the Iron Ring Academy on September 10, 2026, and after nine weeks of Quarter Three competition, we have reached the final block night.”
The screen briefly shows last week's closing standings.
Corvina Ash and Beatrice Boup have already secured the two Iron Maiden Hammer Block positions.
Lenore Valmont has qualified from the Iron Maiden Anvil Block.
In the Iron General Hammer Block, Owen Starling sits at six points with his schedule complete, while Piers Holloway and Nikolas Nocturne each have five and Dante Rook has four.
In the Iron General Anvil Block, Kryst Fellwinter, Finn Oakheart, and Boreas Gale all sit on four points, with Dorian Argent on three.
Paul Redford: “Some wrestlers already know where they are going.”
Blue qualification markers appear.
Then the remaining unresolved names.
Paul Redford: “For everyone else, there is no longer another week available.”
Dave Kent: “Good.”
Paul looks toward him.
Dave Kent: “Nine weeks is enough time for explanations.”
A pause.
Dave Kent: “Tonight I want answers.”
The screen changes.
MATCH 3 — IRON MAIDEN ANVIL BLOCK
SORINA vs BRIDGET O’HARE
Both women appear beside their totals.
SORINA — 3
BRIDGET O’HARE — 3
Then—
WINNER QUALIFIES
The Academy crowd reacts.
Paul Redford: “The equation here is immediate. Sorina and Bridget O’Hare enter tied on three points.”
The graphic changes.
SORINA WIN = 5 — QUALIFIED
BRIDGET WIN = 5 — QUALIFIED
Paul Redford: “Whoever wins advances to the Iron Maiden semifinals alongside Lenore Valmont.”
Then—
DRAW = THREE-WAY TIE FOR SECOND
HOLLY VALE — 4
SORINA — 4
BRIDGET O’HARE — 4
Paul Redford: “A twenty-minute draw creates a three-way tie between Holly Vale, Sorina, and Bridget O’Hare.”
The Iron Maiden Championship appears behind Sorina.
Paul Redford: “And under the applicable tiebreaker, reigning Iron Maiden Champion Sorina would take the semifinal position.”
Dave looks toward the championship.
Dave Kent: “Then Bridget should forget the tiebreaker exists.”
A beat.
Dave Kent: “Beat the Champion.”
Another.
Dave Kent: “Take the spot yourself.”
The screen changes.
MATCH 4 — IRON GENERAL HAMMER BLOCK
DANTE ROOK vs EIRIK IRONWARD
The standings appear.
Owen Starling — 6 — BLOCK COMPLETE
Piers Holloway — 5
Nikolas Nocturne — 5
Dante Rook — 4
Eirik Ironward — 0 — ELIMINATED
Paul Redford: “For Dante Rook, victory removes the uncertainty.”
The screen changes.
DANTE WIN = 6 — QUALIFIED
Paul Redford: “Two points move Dante to six and secure his semifinal position.”
Then—
DANTE DRAW = 5
TIEBREAKER REQUIRED
Paul Redford: “A draw only moves him to five, creating a tiebreaker situation with Piers Holloway and Nikolas Nocturne.”
The screen isolates Eirik.
0 POINTS
Paul Redford: “And Eirik Ironward enters his final tournament match without a point.”
Dave studies Eirik's name.
Dave Kent: “Which makes this simple for Eirik too.”
A pause.
Dave Kent: “He cannot qualify.”
Another.
Dave Kent: “But zero doesn't have to be the final thing this Academy remembers about his quarter.”
The screen changes again.
The crowd grows louder.
MATCH 5 — MAIN EVENT
IRON GENERAL ANVIL BLOCK
KRYST FELLWINTER vs DORIAN ARGENT
The standings appear around them.
Kryst Fellwinter — 4
Finn Oakheart — 4 — BLOCK COMPLETE
Boreas Gale — 4
Dorian Argent — 3
Caleb Graves — 3
Then—
WINNER MOVES INTO FIRST PLACE
Paul Redford: “And our Main Event may completely reshape the Iron General Anvil Block.”
The graphic isolates Kryst.
KRYST WIN = 6
Then Dorian.
DORIAN WIN = 5
Paul Redford: “Victory by either man places him alone in first.”
The graphic changes.
DRAW
KRYST — 5 — FIRST PLACE
DORIAN — 4 — TIEBREAKER
Paul Redford: “A draw locks first place for Kryst Fellwinter, while Dorian Argent moves to four and into a tiebreaker.”
Dave looks across the crowded standings.
Dave Kent: “That's what ten weeks of this system produces.”
Four.
Four.
Four.
Three.
Dave Kent: “One point can separate first place from asking somebody to pull out the rulebook.”
The graphic disappears.
The full lineup fills the studio screen.

FIRST PLACE AT STAKE
The camera returns to the desk.
Paul Redford: “Five matches. Three block contests with direct semifinal consequences. And before any of them, tonight's Spotlight belongs to the man currently sitting atop the Iron General Hammer Block.”
The screen changes.
OWEN STARLING — 6 POINTS
BLOCK COMPETITION COMPLETE
Footage flashes from last week's standings, where Owen remained alone at six after Piers Holloway and Nikolas Nocturne wrestled to a twenty-minute draw.
Paul Redford: “Owen Starling cannot score another tournament point tonight.”
Dave looks toward Owen's six.
Dave Kent: “Which means for the first time all quarter, Owen doesn't have another block match to prepare for.”
A pause.
Dave Kent: “Now we get to find out what six points actually taught him.”
The lights lower slightly.
One name remains on the studio screen.
OWEN STARLING
Then—
SPOTLIGHT ON … OWEN STARLING
Fade into the Spotlight.
“THE PART WHERE IT GETS GOOD”
The studio screen fades to black.
For a moment, there is no wrestling ring.
No crowd.
No tournament board.
Just the faint sound of an acoustic guitar being tuned.
One string.
Then another.
The picture slowly appears.
A small wooden stage.
Old curtains.
Rows of empty folding chairs.
At centre stage stands Owen Starling.
Not in his ring gear.
Jeans.
Boots.
A worn jacket.
And in his hands—
The same battered notebook he carried when the Iron Ring Academy first introduced him.
Owen flips through several pages.
Some contain writing.
Some have crossed-out sentences.
Some appear to have been torn away completely.
He smiles slightly.
Owen Starling: “I used to think the best part of a story was knowing where it was going.”
He turns another page.
Owen Starling: “Turns out that's rubbish.”
A small laugh.
Owen Starling: “If you already know how everything ends, that's not a story.”
He looks toward the empty chairs.
Owen Starling: “That's directions.”
Cut.
Old festival footage.
A younger Owen helping assemble a temporary wooden stage.
Musicians tuning instruments.
Performers carrying costumes.
Families entering a small town hall.
Owen's voice continues.
Owen Starling: “My family traveled.”
A road disappearing beyond a small town.
Another community hall.
Another stage.
Another audience.
Owen Starling: “Different towns.”
A handwritten festival sign.
Owen Starling: “Different songs.”
Performers dressed as figures from local folklore.
Owen Starling: “Different heroes.”
A mock villain gets loudly booed by children.
Owen laughs from behind the curtain.
Owen Starling: “Usually the same terrible villains.”
The image changes.
Owen sits on the edge of the stage listening to an older family member telling a story to a small crowd.
He is completely absorbed.
Owen Starling: “But wherever we went, somebody had a story.”
A beat.
Owen Starling: “Something their grandfather told them.”
Another town.
Owen Starling: “Something everybody swore happened in the woods twenty years ago.”
Another.
Owen Starling: “Something that probably wasn't true…”
Owen smiles.
Owen Starling: “…but became much better every time somebody told it.”
The footage fades.
A wrestling ring appears.
Not the Academy.
A small independent venue.
Owen stands near the back of the crowd watching.
His eyes never leave the ring.
Owen Starling: “Then I found wrestling.”
The crowd rises as one wrestler begins fighting back.
Owen rises with them.
Owen Starling: “And I thought—”
A pause.
He laughs at the memory.
Owen Starling: “Oh.”
Another.
Owen Starling: “They've been doing it here the whole time.”
Quick cuts.
A wrestler refusing to stay down.
A betrayal.
A desperate escape from a submission.
A crowd collectively realizing a comeback is possible.
Owen Starling: “Heroes.”
Another clip.
Owen Starling: “Villains.”
Another.
Owen Starling: “People doing incredibly stupid things because they believe in something.”
A pause.
Back to Owen.
Owen Starling: “That one felt familiar.”
The music stops.
A body crashes against the Academy canvas.
The picture changes completely.
Hard white lights.
Training ring.
No stage.
No costumes.
No romance.
Owen is running ropes.
Again.
Again.
Again.
A coach gives an instruction.
Owen nods.
He tries a sequence.
Misses the timing.
His partner nearly collides with him.
Reset.
Again.
Owen talks too much during the setup.
The coach stops them.
Points.
Explains.
Owen nods quickly.
Owen Starling: “There's a small problem with believing wrestling is a story.”
He tries again.
Still wrong.
Owen Starling: “The other wrestler doesn't know your script.”
Another attempt.
Better.
Owen Starling: “And even if they did…”
His training partner suddenly changes direction.
Owen is caught completely out of position.
He goes down.
Owen Starling: “…they probably wouldn't cooperate.”
Owen lies on the mat.
Looks toward the camera.
Raises one finger.
Owen Starling: “Important lesson.”
He gets back up.
The footage changes.
Quarter Three.
Owen competing inside the Crucible.
Energy.
Movement.
Emotion.
Owen encouraging the crowd.
Owen taking risks.
Owen escaping trouble.
Owen getting caught because he tried to create something when something simpler was available.
Owen Starling: “When I got here, I thought I understood what made wrestling matter.”
A beat.
Owen Starling: “I still think I did.”
The footage freezes on Owen playing toward the crowd after gaining an advantage.
His opponent recovers behind him.
Owen Starling: “I just didn't always understand what made wrestling work.”
The opponent attacks.
Owen goes down.
Cut.
Training footage.
Dave Kent's voice from an earlier evaluation plays over it.
Dave Kent: “Owen Starling spends too much time experiencing his own match.”
Another clip.
Owen reaches his feet.
Dave Kent: “Stop wondering what the moment means.”
A harder exchange.
Dave Kent: “Win the moment.”
The footage stops.
Back on the little stage, Owen slowly closes his notebook.
Owen Starling: “Dave Kent and I have had a philosophical disagreement.”
A beat.
Owen Starling: “Mostly because Dave doesn't believe philosophy belongs anywhere near a wrestling ring.”
Off-camera, somebody laughs.
Owen looks toward them.
Owen Starling: “See? That's exactly the response he would've wanted.”
He becomes more serious.
Owen Starling: “But he was right about something.”
Black.
The Quarter Three standings appear.
OWEN STARLING
Match footage begins cycling beneath the name.
Victories.
Mistakes.
Punishment.
Recovery.
The total builds.
Two points.
Then more.
Eventually—
6
BLOCK COMPETITION COMPLETE
Owen finished his block schedule at six points, and last week's twenty-minute draw between Piers Holloway and Nikolas Nocturne left both men behind him on five entering tonight.
Owen's voice continues.
Owen Starling: “You can care about what a match means…”
Footage.
Owen fights from underneath.
Owen Starling: “…without trying to make every second meaningful.”
Another exchange.
This time Owen sees an opening.
Takes it immediately.
Owen Starling: “That's different.”
The footage changes.
Last week.
Eirik Ironward controls Owen.
Fallaway Slam.
Again.
Rolling Fireman's Carry Slam.
Owen is struggling.
The screen briefly shows Eirik standing over him.
Owen Starling: “Last week wasn't heroic.”
Another Fallaway Slam.
Owen hits hard.
Owen Starling: “I wasn't mounting some grand comeback.”
Eirik stands above him.
Owen Starling: “There wasn't music swelling somewhere.”
Eirik could cover.
He does not.
He brings Owen up again.
Owen's voice quiets.
Owen Starling: “I was getting beaten.”
Half a step.
An opening.
Owen fires.
FINAL VERSE.
The Superkick lands.
One.
Two.
Three.
The footage freezes.
OWEN STARLING — 6 POINTS
Owen Starling: “And then he gave me one chance.”
A pause.
Owen Starling: “So I stopped thinking about the story…”
The three-count plays again.
Owen Starling: “…and finished the match.”
Black.
Silence.
Then—
Owen is sitting alone in the Academy stands.
The ring is empty.
His notebook rests beside him.
Owen Starling: “That's probably been the hardest part.”
He thinks about it.
Owen Starling: “Not the getting hit.”
A small smile.
Owen Starling: “Although I have developed several strong opinions about that.”
He rubs his jaw.
Owen Starling: “Not recommended.”
The humor disappears naturally.
Owen Starling: “The hard part has been learning that believing in something doesn't mean you have to chase the most dramatic version of it.”
He looks toward the ring.
Owen Starling: “Sometimes courage is taking the opening.”
A beat.
Owen Starling: “Sometimes it's covering somebody instead of trying one more move.”
Another.
Owen Starling: “Sometimes the great comeback is surviving long enough for the other person to make a mistake.”
Training footage.
Owen works a basic drill.
No flourish.
Arm control.
Transition.
Reset.
Again.
The coach corrects his foot placement.
Owen changes it.
Again.
Better.
Owen Starling: “That's the part nobody puts in the songs.”
Another repetition.
Owen Starling: “Footwork.”
Again.
Owen Starling: “Spacing.”
Again.
Owen Starling: “Knowing where your opponent's weight is.”
Again.
Owen Starling: “Doing the boring thing correctly for the fiftieth time.”
The coach gives a small nod.
Owen smiles.
Owen Starling: “Although ‘The Ballad of Proper Hip Position’ is going to be enormous.”
He looks toward the camera.
Owen Starling: “Very niche audience.”
Cut.
The notebook opens again.
This time the camera can see that the pages are filled with short notes.
Not elaborate prose.
Simple observations.
DON'T CHASE
COVER
WATCH THE HIPS
RESET
DON'T GET ANGRY
Then—
Underlined twice:
FINISH
Owen turns the notebook toward himself.
Owen Starling: “It changed.”
A pause.
Owen Starling: “The notebook.”
He flips backward.
Earlier pages are dense.
Long paragraphs.
Thoughts.
Ideas.
Metaphors.
He moves toward the newer pages.
Shorter.
Cleaner.
Owen Starling: “I used to write down what I thought everything meant.”
A newer page.
Three words.
MISSED OPENING — WHY?
Owen Starling: “Now I write down what I missed.”
Another.
Owen Starling: “Where I was standing.”
Another.
Owen Starling: “Why something worked.”
Another.
Owen Starling: “Why it didn't.”
He smiles.
Owen Starling: “Turns out Dave Kent has accidentally made me very boring.”
Cut abruptly to the live commentary desk.
Dave Kent is watching the vignette.
His expression does not change.
Dave Kent: “He's still talking too much.”
Paul Redford almost laughs.
The vignette continues.
Owen is now walking through the Academy corridor.
On the walls are photographs of wrestlers.
Champions.
Graduates.
People who came through the system before him.
He slows.
Looks at several.
Owen Starling: “I still believe the things I believed when I came here.”
He continues walking.
Owen Starling: “I still think every wrestler who gets into that ring is trying to become something.”
A photograph.
Another.
Owen Starling: “I still think crowds remember the people who made them feel something.”
Another.
Owen Starling: “I still believe impossible comebacks happen.”
He stops.
Turns toward the camera.
Owen Starling: “I've just learned something important about impossible comebacks.”
A beat.
Owen Starling: “They're much easier if you don't create the impossible part yourself.”
A grin.
Then he walks on.
The image changes.
Tonight's tag-team graphic appears.
FINN OAKHEART & OWEN STARLING
vs
BOREAS GALE & PIERS HOLLOWAY
Below it—
TAG TEAM EVALUATION
NO BLOCK POINTS
Owen studies it.
Owen Starling: “And tonight is strange.”
He points toward his name.
Owen Starling: “No points.”
Then toward the standings.
Six.
Owen Starling: “I've got what I've got.”
A pause.
Owen Starling: “Nothing I do tonight turns six into eight.”
He looks toward Finn Oakheart.
Owen Starling: “Finn doesn't need me adding another chapter to his life story.”
A beat.
Owen Starling: “I'm fairly sure Finn would throw the notebook at me.”
A faint smile.
Then he becomes serious again.
Owen Starling: “He needs a partner.”
The graphic shows Boreas Gale and Piers Holloway.
Owen Starling: “And across from us are two men who have spent the entire quarter proving they can make you pay for being careless.”
A faint whistle accompanies Piers' image.
Owen looks at it.
Owen Starling: “One of them literally whistles while doing it.”
A pause.
Owen Starling: “Which is unsettling.”
Then Boreas.
Power.
Impact.
Owen Starling: “And the other one hits like somebody dropped a mountain down a staircase.”
Owen exhales.
Owen Starling: “So tonight I don't need a heroic moment.”
The graphic disappears.
Owen Starling: “I need to be where Finn expects me to be.”
Training footage.
Tag.
Position.
Partner protection.
Communication.
Owen Starling: “Make the tag.”
Another.
Owen Starling: “Watch his back.”
Another.
Owen Starling: “Don't turn one mistake into three because I'm trying to fix everything at once.”
The footage ends.
Back to the small stage.
The chairs are still empty.
Owen stands beneath the single spotlight.
Notebook in hand.
This time, he does not open it.
Owen Starling: “When I first came here, I said I wasn't here because my story was finished.”
A pause.
The original introduction briefly flashes.
Owen beneath this same light.
Younger in the process.
More restless.
Owen Starling: “I said this was where it gets good.”
Back to the present.
Owen nods.
Owen Starling: “I was right.”
A beat.
Owen Starling: “Just not for the reason I thought.”
He places the notebook onto the empty chair beside him.
Owen Starling: “The good part isn't becoming the hero you pictured before you got here.”
A pause.
Owen Starling: “It's finding out which parts of that person survive when somebody actually fights back.”
Training footage begins.
Owen gets knocked down.
Gets up.
Makes an error.
Corrects it.
Takes a risk.
Then, in the next sequence, chooses the simpler option.
Owen Starling: “The jokes survived.”
A grin.
Owen Starling: “Sorry, Dave.”
Another clip.
Owen struggling.
Still moving.
Owen Starling: “The belief survived.”
Another.
Owen listening closely to coaching.
Owen Starling: “The curiosity survived.”
Then—
Final Verse against Eirik.
Owen Starling: “But some of the foolishness…”
Three-count.
Owen Starling: “…finally learned to sit down.”
The small stage returns.
Owen reaches for the notebook.
Stops.
Leaves it where it is.
He walks toward the edge of the stage instead.
Owen Starling: “Maybe someday somebody tells stories about what happened here.”
A beat.
Owen Starling: “Maybe they don't.”
Another.
Owen Starling: “Either way, I was here.”
He steps down from the stage.
Owen Starling: “I got better.”
Another step.
Owen Starling: “And whatever comes next…”
He looks back toward the empty stage.
Then toward the camera.
The nervous energy is gone.
Only conviction remains.
Owen Starling: “…I intend to be ready when the bell rings.”
Black.
The sound of a page turning.
Then the final graphic appears.
OWEN STARLING
“THE PART WHERE IT GETS GOOD”
Underneath—
BELIEF
ADAPTATION
DISCIPLINE
Then—
6 POINTS
BLOCK COMPETITION COMPLETE
Fade.
The broadcast returns live inside the Iron Ring Academy.
The crowd gives Owen Starling a strong reaction as his image remains on the studio screen.
At the commentary desk, Paul Redford looks toward Dave Kent.
Dave already knows the question is coming.
Paul Redford: “Well?”
Dave folds his arms.
Dave Kent: “Annoyingly good.”
Paul smiles.
Paul Redford: “The Spotlight?”
Dave Kent: “The wrestler.”
A pause.
Dave looks toward Owen's six points.
Dave Kent: “I have criticized Owen Starling all quarter for confusing emotional investment with competitive judgment.”
Footage replays Owen's earlier mistakes.
Playing toward the crowd.
Chasing an unnecessary opportunity.
Allowing an opponent time to recover.
Dave Kent: “He wanted every match to feel important.”
Another clip.
Dave Kent: “So sometimes he made the moment more important than the decision.”
The footage changes.
Last week.
Eirik Ironward standing over Owen.
Instead of covering, Eirik brings him upright.
Final Verse.
Three.
Dave points toward the screen.
Dave Kent: “That's different.”
Paul Redford: “Because Owen waited?”
Dave shakes his head.
Dave Kent: “Because he recognized.”
A beat.
Dave Kent: “Waiting by itself isn't intelligence.”
The replay freezes half a step before the Superkick.
Dave Kent: “He knew exactly when the opportunity became real.”
Final Verse.
Dave Kent: “And he didn't decorate it.”
One.
Two.
Three.
Dave Kent: “He finished.”
The six appears again.
Paul Redford: “So is this the version of Owen Starling the Academy has been trying to produce?”
Dave thinks about that.
Dave Kent: “No.”
Paul turns toward him.
Dave Kent: “And that's important.”
A pause.
Dave Kent: “The Academy shouldn't be trying to remove everything that made Owen interesting when he arrived.”
Footage shows the crowd responding to Owen.
His energy.
His humor.
His willingness to fight back.
Dave Kent: “Crowd connection is real.”
Another.
Dave Kent: “Belief is useful.”
Another.
Dave Kent: “Creativity can win matches.”
Then the screen changes to one of Owen's earlier mistakes.
Dave Kent: “But none of those things excuse bad judgment.”
A beat.
Dave Kent: “Development isn't replacing the wrestler.”
Another.
Dave Kent: “It's removing the reasons that wrestler keeps beating himself.”
Paul nods.
The screen returns to tonight.
MATCH 2 — TAG TEAM EVALUATION
FINN OAKHEART & OWEN STARLING
vs
BOREAS GALE & PIERS HOLLOWAY
Paul Redford: “And tonight provides a different test.”
Dave Kent: “Absolutely.”
He points toward Finn Oakheart.
Dave Kent: “Owen just spent nine weeks learning when not to make everything about Owen.”
A pause.
Dave Kent: “Now put somebody beside him.”
Another.
Dave Kent: “If that lesson is real, Finn Oakheart should benefit from it.”
The tag graphic fades.
Another appears.
MATCH 1
SANTELINA vs PROTOTYPE LEXA-9
Below both names—
ELIMINATED
NO SEMIFINAL PATH
EVALUATION CONTINUES
Paul gathers his notes.
Paul Redford: “Owen Starling has completed his block schedule.”
A beat.
Paul Redford: “Our first two competitors tonight know their semifinal paths have already ended.”
The camera turns toward the entrance.
Paul Redford: “Santelina. Prototype LEXA-9. No qualification scenario. No points capable of changing their destination.”
Dave leans toward the desk.
Dave Kent: “Then forget the destination.”
A pause.
Dave Kent: “Show me what kind of wrestler you are when the story doesn't give you the ending you wanted.”
The Academy bell hangs beneath the lights.
Paul Redford: “Twenty-minute time limit. Final Hammer Block appearance for both women.”
Fade into Match 1.
MATCH 1 – Santelina Vs Prototype Lexa 9
Paul Redford: “Our first match carries no qualification consequence. Santelina and Prototype LEXA-9 both enter with two points, and both have already been eliminated from semifinal contention.”
Dave Kent: “Which means there is nowhere to hide.”
Paul looks over.
Dave Kent: “No pressure from the standings. No excuse about needing to protect points. Give Hammer Washington twenty minutes of evidence about what kind of professional you are when the tournament has already told you no.”
Santelina enters first.
She looks briefly toward the red elimination marker beside her name.
Then toward the ring.
No visible hesitation.
Prototype LEXA-9 follows.
Her expression remains unchanged.
No acknowledgment of the standings.
No reaction to elimination.
She steps directly into the ring.
‘Honest’ Abe completes his checks.
The bell rings.
Minute 1
They engage immediately.
Santelina attacks the legs and turns LEXA-9 over.
INVERTED FIGURE FOUR.
LEXA-9 fights against the pressure.
At almost the same time, when the position breaks down, LEXA-9 snaps Santelina over with a Hangman’s Neckbreaker.
Neither woman gains a clean advantage.
Paul Redford: “Submission pressure immediately from Santelina, and LEXA-9 answers with impact.”
Dave Kent: “Good. Neither woman is wrestling like this is administrative cleanup.”
Minute 2
LEXA-9 goes straight back to the leg.
Single-Leg Crab.
Santelina tries to turn through the pressure but cannot immediately escape.
Dave Kent: “LEXA has selected a target. That matters more than trying to impress us with variety.”
Minute 3
LEXA-9 attempts a Powerbomb.
Santelina shifts during the lift.
Reversal.
She brings LEXA-9 down and transitions immediately into a Surfboard.
Paul Redford: “Excellent reversal from Santelina.”
Dave Kent: “And immediate control afterward. Don't just escape the danger. Make the escape useful.”
Minute 4
Santelina drives through the centre.
Double-Leg Spinebuster.
LEXA-9 hits hard.
For the first time, Santelina establishes sustained momentum.
Minute 5
The exchange becomes rougher.
Santelina drops an Elbow to the Groin during the scramble.
‘Honest’ Abe immediately warns her.
LEXA-9 answers with another Hangman’s Neckbreaker.
Dave Kent: “I don't need Santelina taking shortcuts in a match that has no standings attached to it.”
A beat.
Dave Kent: “Show me discipline when there is nothing to panic about.”
Minute 6
Another aggressive exchange.
Santelina attacks low again before LEXA-9 fires back with Jabs and an Overhand Right.
Neither woman yields.
Paul Redford: “This is becoming increasingly physical.”
Minute 7
Santelina creates space.
Front Dropkick.
LEXA-9 is driven backward.
Dave Kent: “Better. Clean. Direct. No argument with the referee required.”
Minute 8
Santelina catches LEXA-9 again.
Double-Leg Spinebuster.
But LEXA-9 responds almost immediately.
Snap Corkscrew Neckbreaker.
Both women go down.
Paul Redford: “Heavy exchange at eight minutes.”
Minute 9
LEXA-9 takes control.
Hangman’s Neckbreaker.
Another one lands cleanly and Santelina absorbs the full impact.
Dave Kent: “And this is where LEXA becomes dangerous. She has no emotional reaction to whether the previous move worked beautifully. She simply runs the next sequence.”
Minute 10
Santelina reaches for the legs.
INVERTED FIGURE FOUR—
LEXA-9 recognizes it.
Reversal.
She gets underneath Santelina.
DOMINATOR.
Santelina is driven into the canvas.
Paul Redford: “LEXA reverses the submission attempt directly into the Dominator.”
Dave Kent: “That's excellent recognition.”
Minute 11
Santelina responds with another Double-Leg Spinebuster.
LEXA-9 attacks the leg again.
Single-Leg Crab.
The match settles into a struggle between Santelina’s attempts to control the body and LEXA-9’s repeated attacks on the leg and neck.
Minute 12
Santelina tries to stomp the leg.
LEXA-9 reads it and neutralizes the attack.
They reset.
Dave Kent: “Twelve minutes together. They're beginning to recognize the setup before the move.”
Minute 13
Front Dropkick from Santelina.
Hangman’s Neckbreaker from LEXA-9.
Again neither woman creates separation.
Paul Redford: “Seven minutes remain.”
Minute 14
Santelina catches the leg.
INVERTED FIGURE FOUR.
This time she secures it cleanly.
LEXA-9 refuses to submit.
She works through the pressure and eventually forces the hold apart.
Paul Redford: “Second serious Inverted Figure Four attempt.”
Dave Kent: “And LEXA has survived both.”
A pause.
Dave Kent: “That's useful information whether she's advancing or not.”
Minute 15
The intensity rises.
Santelina attacks low again.
LEXA-9 answers with another Hangman’s Neckbreaker.
Both are visibly fatigued.
Minute 16
LEXA-9 catches the leg.
SYSTEM LOCK.
The High-Angle Calf Lock is secured.
Santelina absorbs the pressure and refuses to submit.
LEXA-9 releases just enough to fold her into a quick cover.
One—
Santelina kicks out.
Paul Redford: “Only one.”
Dave Kent: “But watch the transition. Submission fails, convert immediately. That's the kind of thinking the Academy wants.”
Minute 17
Santelina attacks low again.
LEXA-9 answers immediately.
CUTTER.
Santelina is driven down.
Three minutes remain.
Minute 18
Santelina traps both arms.
Double-Arm Chickenwing.
LEXA-9 breaks the position and fires back.
Fireman’s Carry Gutbuster.
Neither woman has enough control to finish.

Bridget's final three-count plays again.

The next graphic appears.

The Academy bell rings once.
Fade to black.
After Week #10 - Final Block Standings
(Red is eliminated)
(Blue means qualified for next phase)
(Black - Lost tie breaker) (Green means 1st Place)
SEMIFINALS
The broadcast has ended.
The Iron Ring Academy has begun to empty.
Most of the crowd has already disappeared into the night, but the backstage monitors continue replaying moments from the final week of Quarter Three block competition.
One screen shows the end of Sorina versus Bridget O’Hare.
Final minute.
Bridget springs from the ropes.
SPRINGBOARD CROSSBODY.
One. Two. Three.
The image freezes on Bridget O’Hare’s hand being raised.
Then—
BRIDGET O’HARE — 5 POINTS
QUALIFIED
Standing several feet from the monitor is Holly Vale.
She does not move.
Her eyes remain fixed on Bridget.
The replay starts again.
Springboard Crossbody.
Three-count.
Bridget celebrates.
Something in Holly's expression tightens.
She looks down at the water bottle in her hand.
Then suddenly—
Holly hurls it.
The bottle smashes against the monitor.
Water explodes across the screen before the bottle falls to the floor.
The replay continues underneath the droplets.
Bridget's hand raised.
A slow clap comes from behind Holly.
She turns.
Bella Aurelia is leaning against the doorway.
Smirking.
Bella Aurelia: “Are you finally seeing it?”
Holly says nothing.
Bella steps farther into the room.
Her eyes move toward the screen.
Bella Aurelia: “They're fickle.”
The replay switches to the Academy crowd cheering Bridget.
Bella Aurelia: “A few weeks ago, they were cheering for you.”
A beat.
Bella Aurelia: “Now?”
She gestures toward the screen.
Bella Aurelia: “They've got a new darling.”
Holly's jaw tightens.
Her fists slowly clench at her sides.
Holly Vale: “It's all her fault.”
Bella tilts her head.
Holly Vale: “She cost me a place in the semifinals.”
Bella's smile becomes colder.
She moves closer.
Her voice drops almost to a hiss.
Bella Aurelia: “Yes.”
A pause.
Bella Aurelia: “Mrs. Claus cost you everything.”
Holly looks back toward the monitor.
Last week's footage now plays.
Mrs. Claus seated at commentary.
Holly outside the ring.
The referee counting.
Eight. Nine. Ten.
Then Lenore Valmont’s hand being raised.
Holly's breathing becomes heavier.
Bella Aurelia: “You were one victory away.”
Another beat.
Bella Aurelia: “And she couldn't leave you alone.”
Holly turns sharply toward Bella.
Holly Vale: “She came out there to judge me.”
Bella gives a small shrug.
Bella Aurelia: “I told you.”
A voice comes from the hallway.
Hammer Washington: “Told her what?”
Both women turn.
Hammer Washington enters the area.
His eyes move first to Holly.
Then to the water dripping down the monitor.
Then to the crushed bottle on the floor.
Hammer looks back at Holly.
Hammer Washington: “Everything all right?”
Holly answers immediately.
Holly Vale: “No.”
Hammer waits.
Holly Vale: “I want a match.”
Bella's smirk disappears behind a deliberately neutral expression.
Hammer Washington: “With who?”
Holly does not hesitate.
Holly Vale: “Mrs. Claus.”
Hammer studies her for a moment.
Hammer Washington: “No.”
Holly's eyes narrow.
Holly Vale: “No?”
Hammer Washington: “Mrs. Claus is a veteran member of the main roster.”
A pause.
Hammer Washington: “You're a recruit at the Iron Ring Academy.”
Holly takes a step toward him.
Holly Vale: “So?”
Hammer remains completely calm.
Hammer Washington: “So you don't demand main-roster matches because you're angry.”
Holly's expression hardens.
Holly Vale: “She interfered in my tournament.”
Hammer shakes his head.
Hammer Washington: “No.”
A beat.
Hammer Washington: “She sat at commentary.”
Holly stares at him.
Hammer Washington: “You chose to stop wrestling Lenore Valmont.”
Another pause.
Hammer Washington: “You chose to argue with someone outside the ring.”
His voice remains even.
Hammer Washington: “And you chose to stay there until the referee counted ten.”
Holly's face flushes with anger.
Bella watches carefully.
Hammer Washington: “If you want me to evaluate what happened that night, that's the evaluation.”
Holly steps even closer.
Holly Vale: “You don't understand.”
Hammer Washington: “Then make me understand.”
A beat.
Holly looks toward the screen again.
Bridget's qualification graphic has returned.
BRIDGET O’HARE — QUALIFIED
That is enough.
Holly turns away.
Holly Vale: “Forget it.”
She storms toward the doorway.
Hammer calls after her.
Hammer Washington: “Holly.”
She does not stop.
The door slams behind her.
Silence.
Hammer watches the doorway for several seconds.
Then slowly turns toward Bella Aurelia.
Bella is still standing near the monitor.
The faintest trace of a smile has returned.
Hammer notices it.
Hammer Washington: “You want something?”
Bella looks toward him.
Innocent expression.
Bella Aurelia: “Me?”
A beat.
Bella Aurelia: “No.”
She glances once toward the door Holly disappeared through.
Then back at Hammer.
The smirk returns.
Bella Aurelia: “Not a thing.”
Bella turns and walks away.
Hammer remains alone.
The monitor continues playing.
Bridget O'Hare's hand raised.
Then Holly's countout from the previous week.
Then Bridget again.
Hammer looks from the screen toward the hallway.
His expression grows considerably more serious.
He reaches down.
Picks up the discarded water bottle.
Looks once more toward the doorway.
No words.
Fade to black.
Airing September 10, 2026 — Following Crucible Episode 032
The Nutcracker Legion Compound — False Light Forge Wrestling School
The False Light Forge is quiet again.
Not completely quiet.
It never truly is.
A ventilation fan drones somewhere high among the steel rafters. Fluorescent lights hum over the conditioning area. Beyond them, three empty wrestling rings sit beneath the dimmed lights of the main training hall.
The day's official training ended almost two hours ago.
Most of the recruits are gone.
Most.
A weighted medicine ball slams against the concrete wall.
THUD.
It rebounds.
Dominik Rask catches it.
Turns.
Throws again.
THUD.
Again.
THUD.
Sweat darkens the back of his training shirt.
His breathing is controlled.
His expression is unchanged.
Twenty throws.
He drops the ball.
Immediately moves to a heavy bag.
No rest.
No water.
No conversation.
Dominik begins striking.
Short combinations.
Body.
Head.
Body.
Clinch.
Knee.
Reset.
Again.
From the darkness beyond the equipment racks—
someone watches.
Again.
THUD. THUD. THUD.
Rhea Quinn is leaning against a steel pillar.
Arms folded.
One boot crossed over the other.
She has been there for several minutes.
Tonight she isn't hiding especially well.
She simply assumes Dominik is too focused to notice.
That assumption lasts another thirty seconds.
Dominik drives a final knee into the bag.
Stops it from swinging.
Without turning around—
DOMINIK RASK: “You are getting worse at this.”
Rhea's eyebrows rise.
Silence.
Dominik releases the bag.
DOMINIK: “The watching.”
Rhea slowly steps out from behind the pillar.
RHEA QUINN: “Watching?”
Dominik turns.
Rhea gestures around herself.
RHEA: “I've been admiring the architecture.”
Dominik stares at her.
Rhea looks up toward the steel rafters.
RHEA: “Very industrial.”
Nothing.
RHEA: “Strong use of beams.”
Dominik picks up his water bottle.
DOMINIK: “You watched me Tuesday.”
Rhea considers it.
RHEA: “Could've been anybody.”
DOMINIK: “You watched me yesterday.”
RHEA: “Popular man.”
DOMINIK: “And last week.”
Rhea's mouth curls.
RHEA: “Now you're keeping track.”
Dominik drinks.
Rhea points at him.
RHEA: “That's flattering.”
Dominik puts the bottle down.
DOMINIK: “Why?”
Rhea's smile remains.
But her eyes sharpen.
RHEA: “Why what?”
DOMINIK: “Why do you watch me?”
Rhea walks farther into the light.
RHEA: “Maybe I fancy you.”
Dominik's expression doesn't move.
Rhea waits.
Nothing.
RHEA: “Christ, Kraków. You're meant to look uncomfortable when a woman says that.”
DOMINIK: “You said that before.”
Rhea blinks.
RHEA: “I need new material.”
DOMINIK: “Yes.”
Rhea puts a hand over her heart.
RHEA: “That almost sounded like criticism.”
Dominik turns back toward the heavy bag.
Rhea watches him reset his stance.
RHEA: “Maybe I'm studying the competition.”
Dominik strikes.
Left.
Right.
Body.
DOMINIK: “We are not competing.”
RHEA: “Not yet.”
Another combination.
DOMINIK: “Then there is no reason.”
Rhea steps around the bag.
Now he has to look at her.
RHEA: “Maybe I'm bored.”
Dominik stares.
Rhea shrugs.
RHEA: “Maybe your charming personality keeps drawing me back.”
Nothing.
RHEA: “Maybe there's a betting pool on whether you ever stop training.”
That gets the slightest reaction.
Dominik's brow tightens.
Rhea notices.
Naturally.
She moves closer.
RHEA: “Ah.”
Dominik looks at her.
RHEA: “Found something.”
DOMINIK: “What?”
Rhea gestures toward the gym.
RHEA: “This.”
Dominik says nothing.
RHEA: “Everyone else trained today.”
She points toward the dormitories beyond the building.
RHEA: “Then they ate. Complained. Lied about how sore they weren't. Mateo probably found a mirror.”
Dominik waits.
RHEA: “Normal human behavior.”
She points at him.
RHEA: “You finished training.”
A beat.
RHEA: “And then started training.”
Dominik looks toward the bag.
RHEA: “You did the same thing yesterday.”
No response.
RHEA: “And the day before.”
Rhea's humor fades slightly.
RHEA: “You don't train like somebody trying to get better.”
Dominik looks back at her.
RHEA: “You train like somebody's going to punish you if you stop.”
Silence.
That lands.
Dominik's face doesn't change much.
But the room does.
Rhea sees it.
She has finally asked the right question.
Dominik walks past her.
Toward the weight racks.
Rhea follows.
RHEA: “Was I close?”
DOMINIK: “No.”
RHEA: “That's normally what people say when I'm close.”
Dominik loads a plate onto a bar.
RHEA: “Was it the army?”
No response.
Another plate.
RHEA: “Family?”
Another.
RHEA: “Bad coach?”
Dominik stops.
He looks at her.
DOMINIK: “You ask too many questions.”
Rhea smiles again.
RHEA: “Occupational hazard.”
DOMINIK: “Wrestlers do not need this many questions.”
RHEA: “Former pirate radio.”
Dominik looks puzzled.
RHEA: “We annoyed people professionally.”
Dominik turns back to the bar.
RHEA: “I was excellent.”
DOMINIK: “I believe you.”
Rhea pauses.
That one almost sounded like a joke.
Almost.
RHEA: “Careful.”
Dominik looks at her.
RHEA: “I'll start thinking there's a personality under there.”
Dominik grips the bar.
Then stops.
He releases it.
For several seconds he simply stands there.
When he speaks again, his voice is quieter.
DOMINIK: “Where I trained before…”
Rhea stops moving.
No joke.
Dominik keeps his eyes on the barbell.
DOMINIK: “You were useful or you were not.”
Rhea waits.
DOMINIK: “If you were useful, you ate.”
A pause.
DOMINIK: “You worked.”
Another.
DOMINIK: “You stayed.”
Rhea's expression changes.
RHEA: “And if you weren't?”
Dominik looks at her.
DOMINIK: “Someone else was.”
Rhea studies him.
RHEA: “That's not an answer.”
DOMINIK: “It is enough.”
He turns away.
Rhea doesn't push immediately.
That restraint costs her something.
RHEA: “So you learned never to be the one replaced.”
Dominik says nothing.
Rhea looks around the empty gym.
RHEA: “Explains a lot.”
Dominik begins wrapping his wrists again.
Fresh tape over tape already there.
Rhea watches.
RHEA: “Doesn't explain everything.”
Dominik stops.
DOMINIK: “No.”
Rhea's eyes narrow.
RHEA: “So there is more.”
Dominik looks toward her.
DOMINIK: “There is always more.”
For once—
Rhea has no immediate comeback.
Dominik walks toward the ring.
He climbs onto the apron.
Rhea follows him with her eyes.
RHEA: “You know what your problem is?”
Dominik steps through the ropes.
DOMINIK: “No.”
Rhea points at him.
RHEA: “You make mysterious answers sound like normal conversation.”
Dominik begins running the ropes.
RHEA: “That's irritating.”
He hits the opposite ropes.
DOMINIK: “Good.”
Rhea's eyes widen.
RHEA: “Was that a joke?”
Dominik keeps running.
RHEA: “Dominik!”
Nothing.
RHEA: “Come back! This is important!”
He hits the ropes again.
Rhea laughs despite herself.
Then watches.
The smile slowly disappears.
Because now she is seeing something different.
Not innocence.
She is nowhere near ready to grant him that.
But not what she expected either.
When Ace first put Dominik Rask's name in front of her, Rhea imagined a man who enjoyed hurting people.
A thug.
A killer.
Someone who would wear violence proudly.
Dominik doesn't.
He wears it like a uniform.
That may be worse.
Or—
perhaps—
more complicated.
THE LOCKER CORRIDOR
Twenty minutes later.
Rhea walks alone toward the dormitory wing.
Her hands are buried inside the pockets of her jacket.
For once she isn't talking to herself.
Much.
RHEA: “Useful or you're not.”
She frowns.
RHEA: “Bloody cheerful upbringing.”
BILLY PEARL: “You get anything useful?”
Rhea nearly jumps.
She spins around.
Billy Pearl is leaning against the wall behind her.
Rhea glares.
RHEA: “Will you stop doing that?”
Billy pushes himself away from the wall.
BILLY: “Doing what?”
RHEA: “Appearing out of walls like some bald, oversized ghost.”
Billy looks down at himself.
BILLY: “Nothing ghostlike about this.”
Rhea studies him.
RHEA: “Fair.”
Billy gestures back toward the gym.
BILLY: “You talked to Rask.”
Rhea's expression changes.
RHEA: “Maybe.”
Billy waits.
RHEA: “Yes.”
BILLY: “About?”
Rhea folds her arms.
RHEA: “You taking notes for Ace now?”
Billy's face hardens slightly.
BILLY: “No.”
That answer is immediate.
BILLY: “Your uncle asked me to watch your back.”
A beat.
BILLY: “Not report your conversations.”
Rhea accepts that.
RHEA: “He caught me watching him.”
Billy closes his eyes.
Rhea points.
RHEA: “Before you start—”
BILLY: “I already told you to be more careful.”
RHEA: “I was careful.”
Billy looks at her.
Rhea pauses.
RHEA: “Less careful than intended.”
Billy sighs.
BILLY: “What happened?”
They begin walking.
Rhea looks ahead.
RHEA: “He asked why I keep watching him.”
BILLY: “And what did you say?”
RHEA: “Told him I fancied him.”
Billy stops walking.
Rhea keeps going two steps before realizing.
She turns.
Billy just stares.
RHEA: “What?”
BILLY: “Your uncle specifically told you not to do anything stupid.”
Rhea points at herself.
RHEA: “That wasn't stupid.”
BILLY: “You're flirting with the man connected to your mother's death.”
RHEA: “I wasn't actually flirting.”
Billy continues staring.
RHEA: “It was tactical nonsense.”
Billy rubs his forehead.
RHEA: “Very effective technique.”
BILLY: “I'm starting to understand why Ace drinks.”
Rhea smiles.
Then becomes serious.
RHEA: “He told me something.”
Billy's hand drops.
BILLY: “What?”
Rhea recounts it carefully.
RHEA: “He said where he trained before, you were useful or you weren't.”
Billy listens.
RHEA: “If you were useful, you ate, worked and stayed.”
Billy's expression becomes more thoughtful.
RHEA: “If you weren't…”
She shrugs.
RHEA: “Somebody else was.”
Billy says nothing for a moment.
BILLY: “That's all?”
RHEA: “That's all he gave me.”
Billy starts walking again.
Rhea follows.
RHEA: “But it's something.”
BILLY: “Maybe.”
Rhea gives him a look.
RHEA: “That's annoyingly cautious.”
BILLY: “That's why I'm still alive.”
They walk several more steps.
Rhea glances back toward the training hall.
RHEA: “I thought he'd be different.”
Billy looks toward her.
BILLY: “How?”
Rhea takes a moment.
RHEA: “When Ace showed me what Fabian found…”
Her voice tightens slightly.
RHEA: “I pictured someone who enjoyed it.”
Billy understands what it means.
RHEA: “Someone who wakes up wanting to hurt somebody.”
She shakes her head.
RHEA: “That's not him.”
Billy stops.
BILLY: “Careful.”
Rhea looks at him.
BILLY: “That's exactly where you need to be careful.”
RHEA: “I didn't say he's innocent.”
BILLY: “I know.”
RHEA: “I said he's not what I expected.”
Billy folds his arms.
BILLY: “Those aren't the same thing.”
Rhea nods.
RHEA: “I know.”
Billy studies her.
RHEA: “He's…”
She searches for the word.
RHEA: “Programmed.”
Billy raises an eyebrow.
RHEA: “Not literally.”
BILLY: “Good clarification. We have CHAT and HAL around here. Never know anymore.”
Rhea snorts.
Then continues.
RHEA: “He's like a weapon.”
Billy's expression turns serious again.
RHEA: “Point him somewhere, tell him what needs doing, and he does it.”
Billy nods slowly.
BILLY: “Maybe.”
Rhea looks at him.
RHEA: “And weapons don't choose who points them.”
Billy immediately answers.
BILLY: “Don't.”
Rhea stops.
RHEA: “Don't what?”
Billy faces her.
BILLY: “Don't start building excuses for him because you've decided he's interesting.”
Rhea's face hardens.
RHEA: “That's not what I'm doing.”
BILLY: “Good.”
Billy steps closer.
BILLY: “Because being ordered to hurt somebody doesn't make the hurt disappear.”
Rhea says nothing.
BILLY: “And being used by somebody doesn't automatically make you innocent.”
A long pause.
Rhea nods once.
RHEA: “Fair.”
Billy continues.
BILLY: “But…”
Rhea looks at him.
BILLY: “It may mean you're looking at the wrong end of the chain.”
That gets her attention.
Billy immediately regrets phrasing it that way.
Rhea's eyes sharpen.
RHEA: “You think there's somebody above him.”
BILLY: “I think Ace already told you that.”
RHEA: “He thinks someone hired them.”
BILLY: “Then remember why you're here.”
Rhea's mouth tightens.
RHEA: “To wrestle.”
Billy smiles faintly.
BILLY: “First.”
Rhea nods reluctantly.
BILLY: “And?”
RHEA: “Observe.”
BILLY: “And?”
Rhea rolls her eyes.
RHEA: “Don't decide before I know.”
Billy points at her.
BILLY: “There.”
Rhea sighs.
RHEA: “Fine.”
Billy starts toward the dormitories.
Rhea follows.
RHEA: “You know Ace said exactly the same thing.”
BILLY: “Smart man.”
RHEA: “Let's not get carried away.”
Billy laughs.
ONE MORE QUESTION
They reach the junction leading toward the dormitory wing.
Billy turns left.
Rhea stops.
RHEA: “Billy.”
He looks back.
RHEA: “You've been around men like Dominik before.”
Billy's expression changes slightly.
Rhea catches it.
RHEA: “Haven't you?”
Billy studies her.
BILLY: “I've been around a lot of people.”
RHEA: “That wasn't what I asked.”
Billy gives her the same tired stare he has perfected over the past month.
RHEA: “Fine.”
She raises both hands.
RHEA: “I know. Too many questions.”
Billy turns away.
BILLY: “Goodnight, Rhea.”
RHEA: “Goodnight, mysterious old man.”
Billy keeps walking.
RHEA: “And for the record, I wasn't making excuses for him.”
Billy stops.
Doesn't turn around.
RHEA: “I just want the truth.”
Billy looks back over his shoulder.
BILLY: “Then make sure you'll accept it when you find it.”
That shuts her up.
For approximately three seconds.
RHEA: “That's annoyingly dramatic.”
Billy continues walking.
BILLY: “Dorm.”
Rhea watches him disappear around the corner.
Then turns back toward the gym.
She thinks.
And heads for her room.
THE MAN WHO NEVER STOPS
The camera returns to the training hall.
Empty.
Almost.
Inside the centre ring—
Dominik Rask is still there.
His shirt is now completely soaked with sweat.
He runs the ropes.
Stops.
Drops.
Push-ups.
Back to his feet.
Runs again.
No audience.
No coach.
No applause.
No reason anyone else can see.
Dominik eventually stops in the middle of the ring.
His chest rises and falls.
For a moment—
he simply stands there.
The silence surrounds him.
His eyes close.
And something changes.
Only briefly.
His jaw clenches.
His fists tighten.
Whatever he sees when he stops moving—
he doesn't like it.
Dominik's eyes open.
He immediately runs again.
Across the empty Forge.
Into the ropes.
Back across.
Faster.
As though there really is something behind him.
Something that might catch him if he ever allows himself to stop.
FADE TO BLACK.
