NPCW: Behind the Curtain – Episode 018: “Announcements”

NPCW: Behind the Curtain – Episode 018: “Announcements”

Airing November 2, 2026

Three organizations prepare for the biggest collaborative wrestling event of the year. New opportunities emerge for NPCW's fastest-growing division, and the stage is set for an extraordinary second night of Convergence.

But while the wrestling world looks toward the future, Ebenezer Scrooge is quietly pursuing an agenda of his own.

And someone from his past may be getting dangerously close to discovering it.

SCENE 1 — A GRAND FUTURE FOR THE BELLES

Location: NPCW Headquarters — President's Office

November 2, 2026

The camera opens on a sweeping view of the North Pole.

Construction cranes rise above the sprawling complex of Scrooge's Glacier Plex, the magnificent entertainment destination that has rapidly become one of the most recognizable landmarks in the North.

The great Glacier Plex dominates the landscape, its enormous crystalline architecture shimmering beneath the northern lights.

Attached to one side of the complex sits the smaller North Pole Arena, the established home of Polar Power.

But a short distance away, another construction project is taking shape.

A separate building.

A new beginning.

The camera transitions to NPCW Headquarters and the executive offices of Kristine Kringle, President and CEO of NPCW.

Inside her spacious office, a large digital architectural display dominates the conference table.

Four executives have gathered around it.

Kristine Kringle stands at the head of the table, studying the plans with considerable satisfaction.

Beside her is Victoria Deschamps, Vice President of Talent Relations, a tablet tucked beneath one arm.

Across from them stands Alton Bell, NPCW's Executive Vice President, immaculate in a charcoal suit, examining the financial projections.

And beside Alton is the woman whose division is about to undergo its greatest transformation.

Goldie Locks, General Manager of Northern Belles.

Goldie's usual lively personality is tempered by an unmistakable sense of amazement as she studies the architectural renderings.

On the main display, written in elegant gold lettering across a magnificent purple-and-blue entrance, are three words.

GRAND BELLES ARENA

The projected building is beautiful.

A modern arena with sweeping glass walls, crystalline decorations, rich purple banners, and gold accents. An elaborate entrance plaza leads toward the main doors, where a magnificent illuminated crown rises above the name.

A second rendering reveals the interior.

An intimate but spectacular wrestling venue with an elaborate entrance stage, state-of-the-art broadcast facilities, luxury seating, and a wrestling ring surrounded by the unmistakable atmosphere of Northern Belles.

A third display shows the floor plan, including locker rooms, production facilities, executive offices, medical facilities, and a dedicated training and performance center.

Goldie slowly shakes her head.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "I have to tell you, Kristine. When you first mentioned building a dedicated home for Northern Belles, I thought you were talking about some renovations. Maybe a new entrance stage, better locker rooms, a few more offices."

She gestures toward the impressive rendering.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "I certainly wasn't expecting all of this!"

Kristine smiles.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "That's precisely the reaction we were hoping for, Goldie."

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "And it's long overdue. Northern Belles has grown considerably beyond what we originally envisioned. The division deserves a facility that reflects its accomplishments."

Victoria advances the presentation.

The screen now shows an aerial rendering of the entire district.

Scrooge's enormous Glacier Plex complex remains the centerpiece, with North Pole Arena attached along one side.

The Grand Belles Arena occupies its own property nearby, connected by a network of roads and pedestrian walkways.

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "As you can see, we've positioned Grand Belles Arena close to Glacier Plex without making it part of the main complex. That gives Northern Belles its own permanent identity while allowing the two venues to benefit from their proximity."

ALTON BELL: "Operationally, it's an efficient arrangement. We can share certain logistical resources without compromising the independence of either facility."

He adjusts his glasses before continuing.

ALTON BELL: "And importantly, Grand Belles Arena is being constructed on a considerably smaller scale than Glacier Plex. The latter remains our flagship destination for major events, while this new building will be a purpose-built television and specialty-event venue."

Goldie nods approvingly.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "I like that. The Belles won't feel as though they're borrowing someone else's building every week."

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Exactly. This will be their home."

Kristine touches the display, bringing up the construction timetable.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "And thanks to the financial support of Circle Sports Enterprises, working alongside the North Pole Elf Construction Company, construction has progressed remarkably quickly."

A series of photographs appears, showing elves operating enormous cranes, installing crystalline decorations, and completing the arena's distinctive glass exterior.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Our current projections have the facility completed by the end of November."

Goldie's eyes widen.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "The end of November? That's only a few weeks away!"

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "The construction teams have been working exceptionally hard. Provided everything remains on schedule, we expect Grand Belles Arena to open in December."

Goldie looks back toward the rendering.

For a moment, she says nothing.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "December."

She smiles.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "A brand-new arena. Just for Northern Belles."

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "And we'd like to make the official public announcement during the November 8 edition of Northern Belles."

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Oh, the audience is going to love this!"

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "We want you involved in the presentation, Goldie. This is your division, and you've played an enormous role in getting it to this point."

Goldie looks genuinely touched.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Thank you, Victoria. That means a great deal."

Alton closes one of his financial reports.

ALTON BELL: "Of course, the arena is only one part of the expansion."

Goldie turns toward him.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "There's more?"

Kristine smiles knowingly.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Quite a bit more, actually."

THE 2027 EXPANSION

Kristine switches the digital display from the arena renderings to a presentation bearing the Northern Belles logo.

Beneath it appears a new heading.

NORTHERN BELLES — 2027: THE NEXT CHAPTER

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Goldie, we've spent considerable time reviewing Northern Belles' performance throughout 2026. Ratings, attendance, audience engagement, talent development, merchandise sales — every aspect of the division."

She pauses.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "And the results have convinced us that Northern Belles is ready for a substantial expansion."

Goldie straightens.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Beginning in 2027, Northern Belles will move to a new weekly broadcast night."

She touches the screen.

WEDNESDAYS

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Northern Belles will move to Wednesdays."

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Wednesdays?"

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "A dedicated midweek position. It gives the division a more prominent place in our overall programming schedule."

ALTON BELL: "It also creates additional opportunities for marketing, sponsorship, and coordinated programming across NPCW's various divisions."

Kristine advances the presentation.

SIX MATCHES PER SHOW

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "We're also expanding the weekly program to six matches."

Goldie leans forward.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Now that I like!"

The others laugh.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Seriously, though, I've been struggling to find television time for everyone. We've got so many talented women, and there simply aren't enough matches to showcase them properly."

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "And that's one of the reasons we approved the expansion."

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Six matches gives us more room for developing rivalries, showcasing new wrestlers, and giving some of the women who don't always make the main card a chance to prove themselves."

She pauses, looking toward the other executives.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "One thing I've learned since becoming General Manager is that opportunity matters. It's not enough to tell somebody they're important. You have to give them a chance to demonstrate it."

Victoria nods approvingly.

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "That's a philosophy you've grown into very well."

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "And growth should mean more opportunities, not simply longer broadcasts."

Victoria advances the display again.

BELLES SHOWCASE — MONTHLY

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "The next announcement concerns Belles Showcase."

Goldie smiles immediately.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Please tell me we're keeping it."

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "Absolutely."

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Belles Showcase is now established as a monthly program, and it will remain monthly throughout 2027."

A scheduling calendar appears.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Eight matches per edition, held on the second-to-last Tuesday of each month."

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Perfect."

ALTON BELL: "That creates a consistent monthly event that can be marketed independently from the main television product."

GOLDIE LOCKS: "And it gives us a place to experiment. Different combinations, different rivalries, women who need more exposure. Sometimes those Showcase matches tell us things we wouldn't discover otherwise."

Victoria nods.

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "Exactly. We want it to complement Northern Belles, not compete with it."

Kristine looks pleased.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Now, the final announcement may be the most significant of all."

She advances the presentation.

The screen darkens.

A golden crown gradually appears against a deep purple background.

Beneath it, bold lettering illuminates.

NORTHERN BELLES — EXCLUSIVE PPV SUPERCARDS

Goldie stares.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Wait."

She looks toward Kristine.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Are you saying what I think you're saying?"

Kristine smiles.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Beginning in 2027, Northern Belles will have its own dedicated pay-per-view supercards."

Goldie places both hands on the table.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Our own pay-per-views?"

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Yes."

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Not just matches on a combined NPCW card?"

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Entire events dedicated to Northern Belles."

Goldie breaks into a delighted smile.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Oh, that is wonderful!"

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "We've reserved the fifth Sundays of the month for these events, when the calendar provides one."

ALTON BELL: "It's a sensible approach. Rather than oversaturating the market, we can build a limited number of major annual events with sufficient promotional time between them."

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "We want these supercards to feel special. Major championship matches, important storyline conclusions, and opportunities for the division's biggest stars to headline their own events."

Goldie looks thoughtful.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "You know what I love most about this?"

Kristine raises an eyebrow.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "It means the women won't have to wait for a place on somebody else's pay-per-view to have their biggest moments."

Victoria smiles.

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "That's exactly the philosophy behind the decision."

Goldie studies the crown glowing on the screen.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "The ladies have worked incredibly hard for this."

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "And so have you."

ONE MORE PROPOSAL

Kristine turns off the presentation.

The enormous display returns to the architectural rendering of Grand Belles Arena.

The atmosphere in the office shifts slightly as Kristine returns to her seat.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Goldie, there's one more matter we'd like to discuss with you."

Goldie looks between the three executives.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Okay..."

Victoria leans forward.

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "Before we get into it, I want to make something absolutely clear. We're very pleased with the job you've been doing as General Manager."

Goldie offers a small smile.

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "You've grown considerably in the position, and the division's success reflects that."

ALTON BELL: "The performance data is particularly compelling."

He opens another report.

ALTON BELL: "Northern Belles Episode 043 was the highest-rated television program across NPCW during October."

Goldie nods proudly.

ALTON BELL: "But more importantly, it was the highest-rated television episode of 2026 to date."

Goldie's smile grows wider.

ALTON BELL: "And of NPCW's five highest-rated television programs this year, four are Northern Belles episodes."

He sets the report down.

ALTON BELL: "Those results are difficult to argue with."

Goldie gives Alton a curious look. His previous reservations about the division's performance have hardly been a secret, and hearing this acknowledgment from him carries a particular satisfaction.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Well, Alton, I must say it's nice to hear you say that."

Alton raises an eyebrow.

ALTON BELL: "I have never disputed the value of strong performance, Goldie. And the figures speak for themselves."

Victoria offers Goldie a subtle, approving smile.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "I knew the girls were doing well, but hearing it put like that..."

She shakes her head.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Four out of five. Wow."

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "You've earned the recognition, Goldie. We want you to understand that."

Kristine pauses, choosing her words carefully.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "But with the new arena, an expanded television schedule, monthly Showcase events, and dedicated pay-per-views, your responsibilities are going to increase substantially."

Goldie's expression becomes more serious.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "And we don't want your success to become a burden that eventually overwhelms you."

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "The division is simply becoming too large for one person to oversee every operational detail."

Goldie slowly nods.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "I've been thinking about that myself, actually."

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Then we'd like you to consider bringing in an Assistant General Manager."

Goldie raises an eyebrow.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "An Assistant GM?"

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Someone who can help with day-to-day operations, talent coordination, event preparation, and the countless things that will come with running a larger division."

GOLDIE LOCKS: "I can certainly see the benefit. But I'd want someone I could trust. Someone who understands what we're trying to build."

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "Naturally. You would remain General Manager. This person would be there to support you, not replace you."

Goldie nods.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Well, in that case, I'm listening. Did you have someone in mind?"

Kristine glances briefly toward Victoria.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "We did."

A pause.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Mrs. Claus."

Goldie's expression changes immediately.

Not anger.

Not disbelief.

But unmistakable surprise.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Mrs. Claus?"

Kristine nods.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Well, I certainly wasn't expecting that."

She lets out a small laugh, although there is something thoughtful behind it.

Victoria recognizes the reaction immediately.

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "I imagine that name brings back a few memories."

Goldie smiles ruefully.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Oh, you could say that."

She settles back into her chair.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "There was a time when Mrs. Claus and I could barely agree on what day of the week it was."

Kristine laughs softly.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "I seem to recall."

Goldie looks toward the arena rendering, her expression becoming reflective.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "You know, when Dorothy, Alice, and I were making our mark as the Blonde Bombshells, we genuinely believed we were fighting against an establishment that didn't want to let the newer generation move forward."

Victoria listens carefully.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "We looked at women like Mrs. Claus and saw veterans who had been around forever. Women who kept getting opportunities, championship matches, and the spotlight."

She pauses.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "And I convinced myself that every opportunity someone like Mrs. Claus received was an opportunity being taken away from somebody younger."

Kristine folds her hands.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "And you weren't particularly quiet about that opinion."

Goldie laughs.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Kristine, I wasn't particularly quiet about anything back then!"

The four share a brief laugh.

Then Goldie grows serious again.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "But I was wrong about her."

The room becomes quiet.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Mrs. Claus wasn't trying to hold anybody back. She wasn't using her reputation to keep younger wrestlers from advancing. She was doing what every professional wrestler is supposed to do — competing, trying to win, and earning her place."

Goldie pauses.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "And she was helping people along the way. I just wasn't willing to see it."

Victoria nods.

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "You weren't entirely alone in that thinking, Goldie. The Blonde Bombshells represented a genuine challenge to the established order. But challenging the establishment and assuming everyone in it is your enemy are two very different things."

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Believe me, I've learned that lesson."

She smiles faintly.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Funny how becoming part of management changes your perspective."

Alton gives a small nod.

ALTON BELL: "It's considerably easier to criticize decisions when you aren't the person responsible for making them."

Goldie looks toward him.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Well, there's something we can certainly agree on, Alton."

She returns her attention to Kristine.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Mrs. Claus and I had our battles. We stood across the ring from one another. We both had moments when we thought we had something to prove."

Her expression softens.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "But we've cleared the air since then. I understand her a lot better now, and I think she understands me too."

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "And that's important. Because we're not suggesting this appointment to reopen old rivalries."

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "Quite the opposite. We believe the two of you have experiences that could complement one another exceptionally well."

Goldie tilts her head.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Go on."

THE VALUE OF EXPERIENCE

Victoria leans forward.

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "Think about what Mrs. Claus represents to NPCW."

Goldie listens.

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "She spent years competing in this organization. She helped establish its traditions, faced some of the toughest competitors we've ever had, and earned the respect of generations of wrestlers."

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "She understands what it's like to be overlooked, what it's like to fight for championship opportunities, and what it takes to maintain a career through victories, defeats, injuries, and changing circumstances."

Victoria pauses.

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "But perhaps most importantly, she understands the locker room."

Goldie nods slowly.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "That she does."

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "And you understand it from a different perspective. You were part of the generation that challenged the established stars. You fought for change, and now you're responsible for ensuring the next generation receives the opportunities it deserves."

Goldie considers the comparison.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "So you're thinking we could bring both perspectives into management."

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Exactly."

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Mrs. Claus may have recently retired from active competition, but that doesn't mean her knowledge and experience should retire with her."

Kristine smiles.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "And I think someone who has given so much to NPCW deserves the opportunity to contribute in a new capacity, if that's what she wants."

Goldie looks thoughtful.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "You know, watching her toward the end of her career was interesting."

She looks toward Victoria.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Especially that match with Dorothy."

Victoria nods knowingly.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "There was still some unfinished business between them from the old Blonde Bombshell days. Mrs. Claus could have held onto all that resentment. She could have gone into that match determined to prove that the old guard was still better than the younger generation."

Goldie pauses.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Instead, when Dorothy beat her, she raised Dorothy's hand."

Kristine smiles.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "A wonderful moment."

GOLDIE LOCKS: "It really was. And I'll admit something. Seeing Mrs. Claus acknowledge Dorothy like that meant a lot to me."

She looks down briefly.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Because that was the woman I'd once accused of standing in our way."

Victoria studies her.

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "And what did that moment tell you?"

Goldie looks up.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "That she wanted the next generation to succeed. She always did."

A small smile appears.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "She just wasn't going to hand them anything. They had to earn it."

Victoria smiles approvingly.

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "Which is a philosophy I suspect you can appreciate now."

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Oh, absolutely. You wouldn't believe how many people walk into my office expecting championship matches simply because they think they deserve them!"

Alton raises an eyebrow.

ALTON BELL: "I believe you just described a substantial portion of the wrestling industry."

Goldie laughs.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Fair point."

Kristine folds her hands on the table.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Goldie, you've already demonstrated that you can identify talent, develop storylines, and maintain the momentum of a growing division."

She gestures toward the display.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "But with six matches every Wednesday, eight-match monthly Showcase events, pay-per-view supercards, and a new arena to oversee, you'll have an enormous amount of responsibility."

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "And as we've discussed before, I won't always be available for the same level of direct mentoring I provided earlier in your tenure."

Goldie nods.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "I know. And I appreciate everything you've done, Victoria. You've helped me more than you probably realize."

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "You've earned the confidence to run this division yourself. That doesn't mean you should have to do everything alone."

Kristine continues.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Mrs. Claus could provide valuable assistance with talent relations, backstage operations, and mentoring some of the less experienced wrestlers."

ALTON BELL: "And from an administrative standpoint, her standing within the organization could be particularly useful. She's respected by both the veterans and the newer competitors."

Goldie slowly nods.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "I can see that."

Then she pauses.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Although I do have one concern."

Kristine looks toward her.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Of course."

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Mrs. Claus is a legend in NPCW. And she's been involved with this company a lot longer than I have."

She hesitates.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "I don't want the wrestlers thinking that because Mrs. Claus is joining management, suddenly we're going back to the old ways. Or that she's really the one running things behind the scenes."

Victoria nods, understanding the concern.

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "That's a legitimate consideration."

GOLDIE LOCKS: "And it's not because I don't trust her. We've already settled our differences. I respect her tremendously."

Goldie looks directly at Kristine.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "But I've worked hard to establish myself as General Manager. I've made mistakes, learned from them, and finally reached a point where I feel confident making the decisions."

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "And we have no intention of changing that."

Kristine leans forward.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "You would remain General Manager of Northern Belles. Mrs. Claus would serve as your Assistant General Manager, reporting directly to you."

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "The responsibility for booking, championship decisions, and the overall direction of the division would remain yours."

ALTON BELL: "Clear reporting structures would be established. There would be no ambiguity regarding authority."

Goldie nods approvingly.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Good. Because the last thing I need is someone walking into my office claiming Mrs. Claus promised them a championship match."

Kristine chuckles.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Something tells me Mrs. Claus wouldn't be particularly fond of that either."

GOLDIE LOCKS: "No, I don't imagine she would."

Goldie leans back and smiles.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Actually, the more I think about it, the more I like the idea."

She folds her arms thoughtfully.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "We've got a lot of younger women coming into Northern Belles. Some are talented but inexperienced. Others have all the confidence in the world but haven't quite figured out what it takes to succeed at this level."

She smiles knowingly.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "And some remind me an awful lot of myself."

Victoria laughs softly.

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "That must be an interesting experience."

GOLDIE LOCKS: "You have no idea!"

Goldie becomes thoughtful again.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "But someone like Mrs. Claus could make an enormous difference to those women. She knows what it takes to have a long career. She knows how to handle success, disappointment, and everything in between."

Goldie pauses.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "And perhaps she can help some of them avoid the mistakes I made when I was younger."

Kristine smiles warmly.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "That sounds like a very good reason to consider her."

GOLDIE LOCKS: "There's something else, too."

She glances toward the other executives.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Mrs. Claus recently retired from wrestling. And I know how difficult it can be to walk away from something that's been such a big part of your life."

Her expression softens.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "When my own wrestling career ended and I moved into management, I had to figure out who I was going to be without stepping into that ring every week."

She pauses.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Maybe this could give Mrs. Claus something similar. A new chapter. A chance to stay involved in a business she loves without having to keep putting her body through everything that comes with being a wrestler."

Victoria nods.

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "That's part of our thinking as well."

ALTON BELL: "Although we should not assume she wants another demanding position immediately after retiring."

Kristine agrees.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Quite right. This is an offer we're considering, not an appointment we've already made."

Goldie smiles.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Well, if Mrs. Claus wants to spend her retirement relaxing by the fireplace with Santa, I certainly wouldn't blame her!"

Kristine laughs.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "With Santa now serving as Polar Division Commissioner, I suspect the Claus household isn't going to be particularly quiet."

GOLDIE LOCKS: "That's true. Though I can't imagine Mrs. Claus spending too much time sitting around doing nothing."

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "Nor can I."

Goldie looks toward the architectural rendering once more.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "You know something? There's a certain irony to all this."

Kristine smiles.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Oh?"

GOLDIE LOCKS: "A couple of years ago, if somebody had told me that I'd be running Northern Belles and considering Mrs. Claus as my Assistant General Manager, I probably would have laughed in their face."

She chuckles.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "And Mrs. Claus probably would have wondered if I'd lost my mind!"

Victoria smiles.

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "People change, Goldie. Sometimes the strongest professional relationships develop between people who once saw the world very differently."

Goldie nods.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "I suppose that's true."

She pauses thoughtfully.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "And you know what? I think I would enjoy working with her."

Kristine raises an eyebrow.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Then are you comfortable with us approaching Mrs. Claus about the position?"

Goldie smiles.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Absolutely."

She leans forward.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "In fact, I'd like to be involved in that conversation myself."

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "I think that would be an excellent idea."

GOLDIE LOCKS: "If Mrs. Claus is going to be my Assistant GM, then I want us to start this new relationship the right way. Not as two former wrestlers who once had problems with one another, but as two people who want the same thing."

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "And what's that?"

Goldie looks toward the Northern Belles logo on the display.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "To make Northern Belles the best women's wrestling division in the world."

Kristine smiles broadly.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Then I think we're all in agreement."

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "I'll arrange a meeting with Mrs. Claus. We can discuss the role, the responsibilities, and whether she's interested."

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Wonderful."

Goldie laughs.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Although I should probably warn her about the paperwork."

ALTON BELL: "I would strongly recommend doing so."

Everyone laughs.

THE FUTURE BEGINS

Kristine rises from her chair and approaches the large display.

With a touch of her finger, the architectural plans disappear.

In their place appears a magnificent rendering of the completed Grand Belles Arena, illuminated beneath the northern lights.

The building's crystalline crown glows against the evening sky.

Gold and purple banners line the entrance plaza.

Beyond it, the immense Glacier Plex complex rises in the distance, dwarfing the new arena but no longer defining its identity.

Goldie stands beside Kristine, studying the image.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "You know, when I first took this job, I just wanted Northern Belles to be respected."

She smiles.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "I wanted the women to have opportunities. I wanted them to feel that their division mattered just as much as any other part of NPCW."

Her smile grows wider.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Now we're getting our own arena, our own pay-per-views, and an expanded television show."

She looks toward Kristine and Victoria.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "It's becoming something bigger than I ever imagined."

Victoria steps closer.

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "And you've earned the right to be proud of that, Goldie."

Goldie smiles appreciatively.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Thank you."

Kristine studies the rendering for a moment before speaking.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "You know what I find most encouraging about all this?"

Goldie turns toward her.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "What's that?"

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "That Northern Belles has reached a point where its future doesn't depend on any one individual."

She gestures toward the display.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "We have exceptional wrestlers, experienced veterans, an expanding roster, and management that's learning how to bring all those talents together."

Kristine looks directly at Goldie.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "That's how you build something that lasts."

Goldie considers the words.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Funny. That almost sounds like something Mrs. Claus would say."

Kristine laughs.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Perhaps great minds think alike."

Goldie smiles.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Well, if you'd told the younger version of me that I'd eventually agree with Mrs. Claus about something like this..."

She shakes her head, laughing.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "I suppose we all grow up eventually."

Victoria places a reassuring hand on Goldie's shoulder.

VICTORIA DESCHAMPS: "And sometimes growing up means realizing that the people we once thought were standing in our way were actually hoping we'd succeed."

Goldie's expression softens.

She looks at the rendering of the arena, then back toward Victoria.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "Yes. Sometimes it does."

A comfortable silence settles over the group.

Alton gathers the financial reports, returning the conversation to business.

ALTON BELL: "Then I suggest we finalize the announcement materials. November 8 is approaching rather quickly."

Kristine nods.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Agreed."

She turns toward Goldie.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "On November 8, we'll begin telling the world what the future of Northern Belles looks like."

Goldie looks once more at the magnificent building on the screen.

Her face lights up.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "The Grand Belles Arena."

She grins.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "I can't wait to see the girls walk through those doors."

Kristine smiles.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "And who knows? Perhaps Mrs. Claus will be standing beside you when they do."

Goldie considers that possibility for a moment.

Then she smiles warmly.

GOLDIE LOCKS: "You know something? I'd like that."

The camera slowly moves toward the digital rendering.

The golden letters shimmer across the screen.

GRAND BELLES ARENA

Below them, a final promotional phrase appears.

THE NORTH BELONGS TO THE BOLD.

The image fades to black.

SCENE 2 — CONVERGENCE 2026: NIGHT TWO

Location: NPCW Headquarters — Media Conference Room

Later That Day - November 2, 2026

The scene opens inside NPCW's state-of-the-art media conference room.

A large backdrop spans the stage, displaying the logos of three wrestling organizations.

NPCW — HCW — GCW

Beneath them, the official event branding illuminates the room.

CONVERGENCE 2026

NOVEMBER 21–22

SCROOGE'S GLACIER PLEX

Journalists, photographers, wrestling analysts, and representatives of all three promotions fill the room.

Camera shutters flash as technicians make their final preparations.

At the center of the stage stands a large podium.

Behind it is Kristine Kringle, President and CEO of NPCW.

To her right stands Max McGuillicutty, General Manager of HCW, sporting a broad grin and looking thoroughly pleased with the occasion.

On Kristine's left is Antonio Angelis, President of GCW, impeccably dressed in a dark Italian suit, his expression professional and quietly confident.

Together, the three executives represent the organizations participating in the upcoming Convergence spectacular.

But two particularly interested spectators sit toward the front of the room.

Ebenezer Scrooge, NPCW shareholder, Vice-Chairman of the Board, and proprietor of the enormous Glacier Plex complex.

Beside him sits his ever-present assistant, Nigel Frostwick.

Nigel has a notebook balanced carefully on his knee, a tablet in one hand, and several documents arranged in a leather portfolio.

Scrooge, meanwhile, is examining a financial projection.

SCROOGE: "Hmm. Excellent. Very excellent."

Nigel leans toward him.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Sir?"

SCROOGE: "The latest ticket projections, Frostwick. Extraordinary. And just imagine what happens when we announce the rest of the card!"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Indeed, sir. The publicity should produce a significant increase in demand."

SCROOGE: "Demand! That's the most beautiful word in the English language, Nigel."

He pauses.

SCROOGE: "Well, second most beautiful."

Nigel looks puzzled.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Second, sir?"

Scrooge smiles greedily.

SCROOGE: "Profit."

Nigel nods solemnly.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Naturally, sir."

At the podium, Kristine adjusts the microphone.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Good afternoon, everyone, and thank you for joining us."

The room settles.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "In just a few short weeks, NPCW, HCW, and GCW will come together for one of the most ambitious collaborative events in professional wrestling."

The Convergence logo appears on the enormous display behind her.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Convergence 2026 represents something special. Three distinct organizations, each with its own traditions, championships, rivalries, and stars, coming together to deliver two extraordinary nights of wrestling."

She turns toward Max.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "And while we may compete fiercely inside the ring, outside it we've worked together to put together something our audiences will remember."

Max steps toward the microphone.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Absolutely, Kristine!"

He flashes a grin toward the audience.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Look, I'm not going to stand here and pretend everybody's been holding hands and singing songs during the planning meetings."

The audience laughs.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "We've argued. We've negotiated. We've probably driven half our staff crazy. But that's what happens when three wrestling organizations get together and every single one believes they have the best talent!"

He spreads his arms.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "And believe me, HCW intends to prove exactly why we're the best!"

Scattered applause erupts from the HCW representatives.

Kristine smiles.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "I'm sure our NPCW wrestlers will have something to say about that."

Antonio approaches the podium.

ANTONIO ANGELIS: "And I would advise both of you not to overlook GCW."

He offers a calm smile.

ANTONIO ANGELIS: "Our athletes have not traveled here merely to participate in a celebration. They have come to compete, to represent GCW with distinction, and to demonstrate their place among the finest in this business."

He looks toward the cameras.

ANTONIO ANGELIS: "Convergence is an opportunity to establish excellence. And excellence does not recognize promotional boundaries."

Kristine nods.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Well said, Antonio."

She glances at the display.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Now, before we announce the Night Two card, we have a very special match to reveal for Dark Fable Episode 043."

THE MEN'S CONVERGENT CUP BATTLE ROYAL

The screen changes.

Twenty silhouettes appear across an elaborate graphic featuring a magnificent silver cup surrounded by gold and crimson light.

MEN'S CONVERGENT CUP BATTLE ROYAL

20 COMPETITORS — NPCW VS HCW

DARK FABLE EPISODE 043

A murmur spreads through the press gallery.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "On Dark Fable Episode 043, NPCW will host the Men's Convergent Cup Battle Royal."

She pauses as the cup rotates on the screen.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Twenty men will compete. Ten representatives from NPCW and ten from HCW. All competing for one extraordinary opportunity."

Max moves toward the microphone.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "And this isn't just about bragging rights, ladies and gentlemen!"

He points toward the screen.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "The winner receives a championship opportunity of his choice!"

Several journalists immediately begin taking notes.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "In addition to the championship opportunity, the winner will also receive a cash reward."

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "So think about that for a moment. Twenty men enter the match. Nineteen leave disappointed. And one man walks away with the power to choose which championship he wants to pursue!"

Kristine nods.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "An opportunity of that magnitude can change the direction of a wrestler's entire career."

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "And believe me, the HCW competitors are coming here to win it. We're not traveling to the North Pole just to admire the scenery!"

Kristine smiles confidently.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Well, Max, before you begin celebrating an HCW victory, perhaps we should introduce the competitors."

Max grins.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "By all means!"

NPCW REPRESENTATIVES

The first ten silhouettes begin transforming into individual promotional photographs.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Representing NPCW, we begin with a competitor from our Mythic Division, a man whose very presence commands attention."

The first photograph appears.

SEVERIN CROWNE

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Severin Crowne!"

The next image emerges.

SIR AGRAVAINE

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Joining him will be Sir Agravaine, bringing the fierce competitive spirit of Camelot into this twenty-man contest."

A third silhouette illuminates.

TIN MAN

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Our third representative is Tin Man!"

Max smiles.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Well, I certainly hope our HCW boys have brought the right tools for that particular challenge!"

Kristine shakes her head with a smile.

The next image appears, surrounded by dark flames.

ABADDON

A low murmur moves through the audience.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Our fourth representative is one of the most dangerous competitors in NPCW. Abaddon!"

Max's grin fades slightly.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "All right. I'll admit that's a fellow I wouldn't particularly enjoy being trapped in a ring with."

The fifth image appears.

HANS TRAPP

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Also entering the Battle Royal will be Hans Trapp!"

The graphic advances again.

BLOOD-MOON WARDEN

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Our sixth representative, the mysterious Blood-Moon Warden!"

The seventh image appears.

PETER COTTONTAIL

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "And joining this formidable group will be Peter Cottontail!"

Max chuckles.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Now there's an interesting combination. Abaddon and Peter Cottontail in the same Battle Royal. You really do have a little bit of everything in NPCW, don't you?"

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "And that's one of our strengths, Max."

Kristine advances the presentation.

The eighth image appears.

A stocky, battle-hardened warrior raises an enormous drinking tankard.

TORVALD STONEHELM

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Our eighth representative is the Mountain King himself, Torvald Stonehelm!"

A small wave of laughter ripples through the room as footage briefly appears of Torvald's infamous tankard attack on Count Vlad.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "I've seen some of that fellow's recent exploits. Somebody had better check that tankard before the match!"

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "I'm sure our officials will be keeping a very close eye on him."

She smiles.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Although I suspect Torvald would tell you that he doesn't need the tankard to throw someone over the top rope."

The ninth image illuminates.

TAKUMA RYUJIN

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Our ninth representative will be Takuma Ryujin!"

The final silhouette remains dark for several seconds.

Then a familiar set of antlers appears.

RUDOLPH

The NPCW representatives in the room applaud.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "And completing our ten-man contingent, a former North Pole Champion and one of the most accomplished competitors in NPCW history — Rudolph!"

All ten NPCW competitors now appear together.

Kristine turns toward Max.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "An impressive collection of competitors, wouldn't you agree?"

Max nods.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Very impressive, Kristine. Very impressive indeed."

He grins.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "But now it's time to introduce the men who intend to send those ten back to their locker rooms wondering what happened!"

HCW REPRESENTATIVES

The screen transitions to the HCW logo.

Ten new silhouettes appear.

Max steps confidently to the podium.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Ladies and gentlemen, representing HCW in the Men's Convergent Cup Battle Royal!"

The first image appears.

ADRIAN CIPHER

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Adrian Cipher!"

The next photograph illuminates.

ANGUS MCRAE

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Angus McRae!"

A third image appears.

BICEPS BANNERMAN

Max grins broadly.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "And bringing plenty of muscle into that ring, Biceps Bannerman!"

The fourth photograph appears.

CAESAR KING

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Caesar King!"

The fifth image emerges.

HARRISON MARKS

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Harrison Marks!"

The sixth image appears, accompanied by a dramatic red glow.

DR. RED FANG

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "And a competitor I'm particularly interested in seeing against some of NPCW's more unusual personalities — Dr. Red Fang!"

Kristine raises an eyebrow.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "I suspect he'll have no shortage of interesting opponents."

Max chuckles.

The seventh image appears.

CALEB WILDE

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Caleb Wilde!"

The eighth photograph illuminates.

GROOVE DIGGER

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Groove Digger!"

Max smiles toward Kristine.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Now there's someone who knows how to make an entrance!"

The ninth image emerges.

ALEXANDER DUBROVNIK

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Alexander Dubrovnik!"

The final silhouette appears beside him.

MARKO DUBROVNIK

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "And rounding out our HCW representatives, Marko Dubrovnik!"

All ten HCW competitors now fill the screen.

Max turns toward the audience.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "There you have it! Ten of HCW's competitors heading into NPCW territory, all chasing the same extraordinary opportunity!"

The screen expands to display all twenty entrants.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Twenty outstanding competitors. One winner. And a championship opportunity that could reshape the landscape of either organization."

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "And let's not forget that cash reward!"

From the front row, Scrooge suddenly raises his hand.

SCROOGE: "Excuse me!"

Kristine glances toward him.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Yes, Ebenezer?"

Scrooge stands.

SCROOGE: "I believe you've forgotten something!"

Nigel immediately looks alarmed.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Sir, perhaps we should—"

SCROOGE: "Nonsense, Nigel!"

Scrooge strides toward the stage.

SCROOGE: "Ladies and gentlemen! A championship opportunity! A cash reward! All very impressive!"

He pauses dramatically.

SCROOGE: "But what if I told you that the winner will also receive..."

He lifts one finger.

SCROOGE: "ONE MILLION SCROOGE POINTS!"

Silence.

Max blinks.

Antonio slowly turns toward Kristine.

Kristine closes her eyes for a brief moment.

Somewhere near the back of the room, a journalist quietly laughs.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "I'm sorry. One million what?"

SCROOGE: "SCROOGE POINTS, McGuillicutty! One million of them!"

Max looks toward Antonio.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Do you know what those are?"

Antonio shakes his head.

ANTONIO ANGELIS: "I was hoping you did."

Scrooge looks offended.

SCROOGE: "What do you mean, what are they? They're Scrooge Points! The most exciting innovation in customer loyalty since the invention of the coupon!"

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Ebenezer, we haven't discussed this."

SCROOGE: "Precisely! Which makes it a surprise!"

Nigel hurries toward him, notebook clutched tightly.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Sir, perhaps it would be prudent to clarify that the Scrooge Points program is still undergoing final administrative approval."

Scrooge waves him away.

SCROOGE: "Details, Frostwick! Mere details!"

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Can you spend them?"

SCROOGE: "Of course!"

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "On what?"

Scrooge hesitates.

SCROOGE: "Why, on a wide variety of exciting products and experiences!"

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Such as?"

Scrooge glares at him.

SCROOGE: "Must you interrogate me, man?"

The room breaks into laughter.

Antonio folds his arms, looking thoroughly amused.

ANTONIO ANGELIS: "Perhaps we should establish the exchange rate before including them in the prize package."

Scrooge turns toward him.

SCROOGE: "Exchange rate? They're points, Angelis! Not foreign currency!"

ANTONIO ANGELIS: "Of course. My mistake."

Antonio's expression remains perfectly straight.

Max struggles to contain his laughter.

Kristine steps back toward the microphone.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Thank you, Ebenezer. We'll leave the details of that particular promotion to your marketing department."

SCROOGE: "And I expect everyone here to mention it in their articles!"

He points toward several journalists.

SCROOGE: "One million! Don't forget the million!"

Scrooge finally returns to his seat, muttering happily about advertising opportunities.

Nigel follows, looking as though he would very much like to disappear.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "An excellent promotional opportunity, sir."

SCROOGE: "Naturally."

Kristine takes a breath.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Now, shall we get back to the wrestling?"

A round of applause greets the suggestion.

CONVERGENCE NIGHT TWO — THE OFFICIAL MATCH CARD

The screen darkens.

A dramatic promotional video begins, displaying images of wrestlers from all three organizations.

The Convergence logo bursts onto the screen.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2026

SCROOGE'S GLACIER PLEX

Kristine steps forward.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Ladies and gentlemen, it is now my pleasure to announce the official matches for Convergence Night Two."

MATCH ANNOUNCEMENT — WOMEN'S WARGAMES

A massive double-ring structure appears on the screen.

Steel cages descend around the rings.

WOMEN'S WARGAMES MATCH

TEAM NPCW VS TEAM HCW

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "We begin with a match that promises absolute chaos."

Max grins.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "And one that might finally settle a few arguments!"

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Five women from NPCW will enter WarGames against five women representing HCW."

The screen displays the first team.

TEAM NPCW

Mina Harker
Ruby Howl
Scarlett Howl
Gretel
Snow White

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Representing NPCW will be Mina Harker, Ruby Howl, Scarlett Howl, Gretel, and Snow White!"

The NPCW team graphic remains on screen as Max approaches the microphone.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "And standing across from them will be five women who are more than prepared for the challenge!"

TEAM HCW

Lavender Gloom
Leepurty Belle
Ainsley America
Leslie Grimes
Valeria Vex

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Lavender Gloom, Leepurty Belle, Ainsley America, Leslie Grimes, and Valeria Vex!"

The two teams appear on opposite sides of the display.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Ten women inside WarGames. Now that's the sort of match that gets my attention!"

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "There will be no easy victories inside that structure. Every woman involved knows the punishment that awaits her."

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "And when the dust settles, one organization gets to claim bragging rights!"

The WarGames graphic fades.

MATCH ANNOUNCEMENT — VAN HELSING VS TERRIBLE HERSE

The next graphic appears.

VAN HELSING — NPCW

VS

TERRIBLE HERSE — HCW

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Next, a confrontation born out of violence."

She turns toward Max.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "At Halloween Horror, Terrible Herse attacked Van Helsing. That attack did not go unanswered."

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "And now Van Helsing gets exactly what he's been asking for. A chance to settle the matter face-to-face."

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "At Convergence Night Two, Van Helsing faces Terrible Herse."

The graphic displays the two men staring across a blood-red background.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "I suspect neither man will be particularly interested in shaking hands afterward."

MATCH ANNOUNCEMENT — RAIGEN VS CASSIUS ONYX

The next image illuminates the screen.

RAIGEN — NPCW

VS

CASSIUS ONYX — HCW

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Our next contest brings together two formidable competitors."

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Raigen against Cassius Onyx!"

He glances toward Kristine.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "This is the kind of cross-promotional competition I wanted when we first started putting this event together."

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Two competitors determined to represent their respective organizations. One opportunity to establish supremacy."

The camera shutters flash as the match graphic remains on screen.

MATCH ANNOUNCEMENT — SIX-MAN TAG TEAM MATCH

The screen changes again.

MASTER OF THE NIGHT & THE CRIMSON MAULERS

VS

GRAVES MERCER, CARA LOCO & EVERETT DAWN

Kristine gestures toward the display.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Next, a six-man tag team match featuring one of NPCW's most imposing alliances."

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "The Master of the Night and the Crimson Maulers!"

The screen shows the shadowy trio.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "And they'll face an HCW team consisting of Graves Mercer, Cara Loco, and Everett Dawn."

The HCW competitors appear alongside the NPCW trio.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Three against three. And with this particular combination of personalities, I wouldn't want to be the official assigned to maintain order!"

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Nor would I, Max."

MATCH ANNOUNCEMENT — TAG TEAM SHOWDOWN

A new graphic appears.

SCALEKEEPERS — NPCW

VS

IRON SYNDICATE — HCW

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Our next match brings another confrontation between the two organizations."

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "The Scalekeepers against the Iron Syndicate!"

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "An opportunity for both teams to establish themselves on an international stage."

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "And an opportunity for HCW to add another victory to our column!"

Kristine gives him a knowing smile.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "We'll see about that."

MATCH ANNOUNCEMENT — LARK OF SHERWOOD VS NYX EVERMORE

The next graphic appears.

LARK OF SHERWOOD — NPCW

VS

NYX EVERMORE — HCW

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Next, Lark of Sherwood will represent NPCW against Nyx Evermore."

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "And anyone who's familiar with Nyx knows she's not someone to underestimate."

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Nor is Lark. This promises to be an intriguing contest between two competitors representing very different worlds."

The screen briefly displays both women against a background of mist and moonlight.

MATCH ANNOUNCEMENT — KING ARTHUR VS RAM SHORTAGE

Another graphic flashes onto the screen.

KING ARTHUR — NPCW

VS

RAM SHORTAGE — HCW

Antonio raises an eyebrow at the unusual pairing.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Now here's a match I particularly wanted to see!"

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "King Arthur will face RAM Shortage."

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "You have to admit, Kristine, it's not every day the legendary King Arthur finds himself facing someone named RAM Shortage."

Kristine laughs softly.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "No, Max, I suppose it isn't."

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "But that's part of what makes Convergence special. Matchups nobody could have predicted!"

MATCH ANNOUNCEMENT — VELORA SYNN VS LUCIANA ALBANO

The screen transitions.

VELORA SYNN — NPCW

VS

LUCIANA ALBANO — HCW

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Next, Velora Synn will represent NPCW against HCW's Luciana Albano."

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Two women with a chance to make an enormous impression at Convergence."

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "And another opportunity to demonstrate the depth of talent across both organizations."

The graphic lingers as the next announcement is prepared.

MATCH ANNOUNCEMENT — UNIVERSAL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

The lights dim slightly.

The NPCW Universal Tag Team Championship belts appear on the giant display.

NPCW UNIVERSAL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

ULTIMATE BEASTS — CHAMPIONS

VS

BROTHERS GRIMMSTONE — CHALLENGERS

The audience applauds.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "And now, one of NPCW's most prestigious championships will be defended at Convergence."

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "The Universal Tag Team Championship!"

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "The reigning champions, the Ultimate Beasts — Karnyx and Varak — will defend their titles against HCW's Brothers Grimmstone!"

The screen shows the two teams facing each other with the championship belts suspended between them.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Now this is going to be something! Those titles could leave Convergence around the waists of HCW wrestlers!"

Kristine smiles confidently.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "They'll have to get past the Ultimate Beasts first."

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "And I think Brothers Grimmstone are more than willing to try!"

The championship graphic fades.

MATCH ANNOUNCEMENT — CONVERGENT TITLE: HELL IN A CELL

The atmosphere changes.

The lights turn crimson.

The enormous display shows steel chains descending across a darkened wrestling ring.

A familiar image appears.

JACK LUMBER

Across from him, surrounded by fire and darkness:

INFERNUS REX

The room erupts with excited chatter.

Kristine waits for the noise to subside.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "At Halloween Horror, the conflict between Jack Lumber and Infernus Rex reached another level."

The display replays a still photograph of Jack Lumber standing over the fallen demon after delivering a devastating blow with his timber.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "The two men were already scheduled to meet at Convergence Night Two."

She pauses.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "But after reviewing the growing hostility between them, we've decided that an ordinary wrestling match will not be sufficient."

Max grins broadly.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Oh, I like where this is going."

Kristine turns toward the cameras.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Jack Lumber will face Infernus Rex in a match for the Convergent Title..."

The steel structure on the screen begins descending.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "...INSIDE HELL IN A CELL!"

An enormous reaction sweeps through the room.

Even several journalists begin applauding.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Now THAT is a Convergence match!"

The finished graphic fills the display.

CONVERGENT TITLE MATCH

HELL IN A CELL

JACK LUMBER VS INFERNUS REX

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "No running away. No escaping the confrontation. The steel structure will surround them, and they'll have to settle their differences inside it."

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "You know, Kristine, there are some matches where I worry about what might happen."

He looks toward the demonic image of Infernus Rex.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "And then there are matches where I worry about whether the building will still be standing afterward!"

From the front row, Scrooge suddenly looks up.

SCROOGE: "THE BUILDING?"

Nigel leans toward him.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Merely a figure of speech, sir."

Scrooge frowns.

SCROOGE: "It had better be!"

He turns toward the podium.

SCROOGE: "And I expect a security deposit from both of them!"

The audience laughs.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "We'll discuss that later, Ebenezer."

SCROOGE: "A substantial security deposit!"

Kristine shakes her head, smiling despite herself.

THE TRIPLE THREAT SHOWCASE

Antonio Angelis approaches the podium.

ANTONIO ANGELIS: "Ladies and gentlemen, we've saved one particularly extraordinary announcement for the conclusion of today's presentation."

Both Kristine and Max step aside, allowing Antonio to take center stage.

The screen behind him turns black.

Three championship belts emerge from the darkness.

One bearing the insignia of NPCW.

Another representing HCW.

And the third displaying the proud emblem of GCW.

Antonio waits until the journalists have focused their cameras.

ANTONIO ANGELIS: "Throughout the planning of Convergence, we've discussed what it truly means to bring three major wrestling organizations together."

He looks toward Kristine and Max.

ANTONIO ANGELIS: "We can arrange rivalries between our wrestlers. We can showcase our respective divisions. But there is one question that inevitably arises."

He pauses.

ANTONIO ANGELIS: "What would happen if the champions themselves met?"

A buzz ripples through the audience.

Max grins.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "Now we're talking!"

Antonio returns his attention to the room.

ANTONIO ANGELIS: "At Convergence Night Two, three champions will enter the same ring."

The first championship appears.

NPCW UNIVERSAL CHAMPION — HANSEL

ANTONIO ANGELIS: "Representing NPCW, its Universal Champion..."

HANSEL!

The second championship illuminates.

HCW WORLD CHAMPION — DOMINIC MARCONI

ANTONIO ANGELIS: "Representing HCW, its reigning World Champion..."

DOMINIC MARCONI!

The final championship emerges.

GCW GLOBAL CHAMPION — DAMIAN BLACK

Antonio's expression sharpens with pride.

ANTONIO ANGELIS: "And representing GCW, the Global Champion..."

DAMIAN BLACK!

All three championship belts appear together.

A new graphic fills the display.

CONVERGENCE 2026 — NIGHT TWO

TRIPLE THREAT SHOWCASE

HANSEL VS DOMINIC MARCONI VS DAMIAN BLACK

The room explodes with excitement.

Camera flashes illuminate the stage.

Journalists exchange astonished looks as the three organizations' champions dominate the giant screen.

Antonio allows the excitement to build before speaking again.

ANTONIO ANGELIS: "Three champions. Three organizations. One ring."

He glances toward his fellow executives.

ANTONIO ANGELIS: "No promotional rivalries can obscure the importance of this match. It represents the very purpose of Convergence."

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "And you better believe Dominic Marconi is coming to prove that the HCW World Champion is the best in the business!"

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "Hansel will have something to say about that."

Antonio smiles faintly.

ANTONIO ANGELIS: "And Damian Black will undoubtedly have something to say to both of them."

The three executives exchange knowing looks.

For a brief moment, the friendly atmosphere gives way to genuine competitive tension.

Kristine steps forward for the closing remarks.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "There you have it, ladies and gentlemen. An extraordinary collection of matches featuring some of the finest competitors in professional wrestling."

She gestures toward the screen.

KRISTINE KRINGLE: "We are proud to welcome HCW and GCW to the North Pole, and we look forward to two unforgettable nights at Scrooge's Glacier Plex."

Max joins her.

MAX MCGUILLICUTTY: "And HCW is coming to put on one hell of a show!"

Antonio nods.

ANTONIO ANGELIS: "May the finest competitors prevail."

The three executives shake hands for the cameras.

Flashbulbs erupt throughout the room.

SCROOGE'S FINAL INTERRUPTION

Just as Kristine prepares to end the conference, Scrooge rises from his chair once again.

Nigel immediately closes his eyes.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Oh dear."

Scrooge raises both arms.

SCROOGE: "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!"

The room turns toward him.

SCROOGE: "Before you all rush off to write your articles, I would like to remind everyone that this historic event will be taking place at the magnificent, luxurious, unparalleled..."

He pauses, savoring each word.

SCROOGE: "SCROOGE'S GLACIER PLEX!"

Several people applaud politely.

SCROOGE: "Where the facilities are extraordinary, the entertainment is unmatched, and the prices..."

He pauses.

SCROOGE: "...reflect the exceptional quality of the experience!"

Max covers his mouth to hide a laugh.

Kristine folds her arms.

SCROOGE: "Tickets! Merchandise! VIP experiences! Premium dining! Exclusive collectibles! I encourage every wrestling fan to take advantage of everything Glacier Plex has to offer!"

A journalist raises his hand.

JOURNALIST: "Mr. Scrooge, are you expecting record revenue from Convergence?"

Scrooge smiles broadly.

SCROOGE: "My dear fellow, I don't expect records."

He taps his cane against the floor.

SCROOGE: "I intend to shatter them!"

He turns toward Nigel.

SCROOGE: "Come along, Frostwick. We have business to attend to!"

Nigel rises, hastily gathering his notebook and financial papers.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Yes, sir. Right away, sir."

As the pair head toward the exit, Scrooge mutters enthusiastically.

SCROOGE: "Three world champions, Hell in a Cell, WarGames... Oh, Nigel, the merchandise opportunities alone!"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Quite substantial, sir."

SCROOGE: "And don't forget the Scrooge Points!"

Nigel sighs.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "I wouldn't dream of it, sir."

The camera follows them through the doors.

Behind them, the press conference continues as journalists gather around the three executives.

The Convergence logo fills the screen one final time.

CONVERGENCE 2026

NOVEMBER 21–22

SCROOGE'S GLACIER PLEX

The image fades.

SCENE 3 — SCROOGE'S PLANS

Location: Scrooge and Marley's Counting House — North Pole

Later That Evening - November 2, 2026

The camera opens on a cold November evening.

Snow drifts gently through the streets of the North Pole as the last employees leave the imposing building known as Scrooge and Marley's Counting House.

The building stands as a monument to old money and even older business practices.

Its exterior is a mixture of Victorian architecture and modern security, with massive stone columns, heavy iron doors, and reinforced windows.

Inside, however, the Counting House is anything but antiquated.

Behind the traditional wooden desks and brass accounting instruments sits a sophisticated financial operation, complete with encrypted computer networks, international trading systems, and secure communications equipment.

Far above the main banking hall, a light remains illuminated in the private office of Ebenezer Scrooge.

The camera moves through the heavy oak doors.

Inside, Scrooge sits behind an enormous mahogany desk, surrounded by towering bookshelves, antique clocks, and several large monitors.

Before him are numerous financial ledgers.

Some are modern electronic records.

Others are remarkably old.

A few appear to have been written centuries earlier, their pages yellowed with age and covered in unfamiliar symbols.

Standing beside the desk is Nigel Frostwick, holding a neatly organized stack of financial reports.

Scrooge finishes reviewing one document.

A wide smile spreads across his face.

SCROOGE: "Marvelous!"

He puts down the report.

SCROOGE: "Absolutely marvelous, Frostwick!"

Nigel adjusts his spectacles.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "I take it the figures are satisfactory, sir?"

SCROOGE: "Satisfactory? My dear Nigel, they're magnificent!"

Scrooge taps the report enthusiastically.

SCROOGE: "Convergence is shaping up to be one of the most profitable events in the history of this organization!"

He leans back.

SCROOGE: "Premium seating is selling exceptionally well. Our hospitality packages are exceeding expectations. Merchandise preorders are climbing, and the convention hotel is approaching capacity!"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "The additional publicity from today's match announcements should further improve those projections, sir."

Scrooge smiles.

SCROOGE: "Oh, undoubtedly!"

He chuckles.

SCROOGE: "Three organizations, Nigel! Three entire organizations, all bringing their supporters directly to my doorstep!"

He spreads his arms.

SCROOGE: "And every one of them needs somewhere to sleep, somewhere to eat, and somewhere to spend their money!"

Nigel nods.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "A rather favorable arrangement, sir."

SCROOGE: "Favorable? It's beautiful!"

Scrooge reaches for another ledger.

This one is considerably older.

Bound in black leather, its cover bears a faded crest that looks suspiciously like the emblem of an ancient European noble family.

Scrooge opens it carefully.

His expression becomes positively delighted.

SCROOGE: "But our wrestling revenues are only the beginning."

Nigel's demeanor changes.

He places the public financial reports aside and retrieves a smaller black folder from his briefcase.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Ah. You mean the special project, sir?"

Scrooge looks up.

His smile becomes considerably more calculating.

SCROOGE: "Precisely."

THE ANCIENT ACCOUNTS

Nigel places the folder on the desk.

Inside are banking records, historical ownership documents, and complex financial diagrams tracing assets through centuries of institutions.

Scrooge studies the documents with obvious satisfaction.

SCROOGE: "Tell me, Nigel. How is our arrangement with Count Vlad Dragomir progressing?"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "According to the latest report, sir, everything is proceeding according to schedule."

He opens the folder.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "The historical accounts connected to Dracula's estate have proven considerably more extensive than originally anticipated."

Scrooge rubs his hands together.

SCROOGE: "Excellent."

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Some of the holdings have remained dormant for generations. Others have been transferred repeatedly through various institutions, trusts, and intermediaries."

Nigel turns another page.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "The process of identifying and redirecting the assets has been complicated, but Count Vlad's involvement has been invaluable."

Scrooge chuckles.

SCROOGE: "Ah, yes. Our dear Count Dragomir."

He leans back in his chair.

SCROOGE: "Such a clever fellow. Such a dangerous fellow."

His smile widens.

SCROOGE: "And such a very useful fellow."

Nigel looks slightly uncomfortable.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "If I may, sir, the Count's involvement does introduce certain... complications."

Scrooge raises an eyebrow.

SCROOGE: "Complications?"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "His reputation, sir. His connections. And the nature of the accounts themselves."

He lowers his voice.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "We're dealing with wealth connected to the House of Dracula. Ancient wealth. Some of these records predate the banking institutions that currently hold them."

Scrooge waves his hand dismissively.

SCROOGE: "Money doesn't become less valuable simply because it's old, Nigel!"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Naturally, sir."

SCROOGE: "Quite the opposite! Old money is often the finest money!"

He taps the ancient ledger.

SCROOGE: "And when that money has been sitting untouched for centuries, waiting for someone with the intelligence and imagination to put it to proper use..."

He pauses dramatically.

SCROOGE: "...well, it would be a tragedy to disappoint it!"

Nigel manages a nervous smile.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Of course, sir."

Scrooge examines one of the financial diagrams.

SCROOGE: "And Count Vlad understands the arrangement?"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "He does, sir. The channels established through his contacts are functioning as intended."

Scrooge nods approvingly.

SCROOGE: "Good. Very good."

He closes the ancient ledger.

SCROOGE: "Then let us continue. Discreetly, naturally."

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Naturally, sir."

Scrooge's eyes narrow.

SCROOGE: "The Count may have his ambitions, but I have mine."

He pats the ledger.

SCROOGE: "And I intend to make certain that a very substantial portion of Dracula's ancient fortune eventually finds its way into accounts under my control."

Nigel says nothing.

Scrooge smiles to himself.

SCROOGE: "After all, Nigel, what good is an ancient fortune if no one is making it grow?"

He laughs.

Nigel offers a polite chuckle, although his eyes briefly wander toward the ominous crest on the ledger.

THE CIRCLE

After a moment, Scrooge sets the historical financial records aside.

He reaches into a locked drawer beneath his desk.

From it, he withdraws a thick folder bound in dark crimson leather.

Unlike the previous documents, this one bears no financial institution's insignia.

Instead, its cover displays a small, embossed circular symbol.

Scrooge places it carefully on the desk.

His expression changes.

The delighted businessman disappears.

In his place sits a cold, calculating strategist.

SCROOGE: "Now, Nigel. Let us discuss something considerably more important."

Nigel straightens.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Yes, sir."

Scrooge slowly opens the folder.

Inside are correspondence records, ownership diagrams, confidential reports, and a series of documents bearing the insignia of the Circle of the False Light.

Some have been marked with dates.

Others bear cryptic annotations.

Several have been crossed out with thick red lines.

Scrooge studies the collection.

Then he smiles.

Not the delighted smile of a businessman admiring profits.

Something colder.

Something distinctly more dangerous.

SCROOGE: "Tell me, Frostwick..."

He looks up.

SCROOGE: "...no one is the wiser, are they?"

Nigel pauses before responding.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "No, sir."

Scrooge leans forward.

SCROOGE: "You're absolutely certain?"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "As certain as our information permits, sir."

He opens his own notebook.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "The Circle remains unaware that you've been intercepting its attempts to consolidate control over NPCW."

Scrooge's smile widens.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "The communications we've monitored, the arrangements we've disrupted, and the opportunities we've quietly prevented from materializing..."

Nigel pauses.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "...all appear to have been attributed to unrelated business complications."

Scrooge gives a low, satisfied chuckle.

SCROOGE: "Excellent."

Nigel adjusts his spectacles.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "If I may ask, sir, do you anticipate the Circle discovering what we've been doing?"

Scrooge leans back.

For several seconds, he studies the circle embossed on the folder.

SCROOGE: "Oh, eventually."

He smiles.

SCROOGE: "They're far too intelligent to remain ignorant forever."

He taps one finger against the desk.

SCROOGE: "The late Ardan Vantrell was a formidable manipulator. And from what we've observed, his successor is no fool either."

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Lucien Vantrell, sir."

SCROOGE: "Indeed."

Scrooge's eyes narrow.

SCROOGE: "The Circle believes that because it possesses thirty percent of NPCW, it can maneuver itself into a position of absolute authority."

He gives a dismissive snort.

SCROOGE: "And that all the rest of us are merely pieces on its board."

Nigel nods cautiously.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "They have certainly devoted considerable effort toward increasing their influence."

SCROOGE: "Of course they have!"

He gestures toward the financial reports.

SCROOGE: "Look at what NPCW is becoming! New facilities, expanding television programming, international partnerships, record-breaking events!"

His expression hardens.

SCROOGE: "Do you honestly believe I intend to sit quietly while someone else maneuvers themselves into control of the organization that's making all this possible?"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "No, sir."

Scrooge rises from his chair and walks toward the enormous windows overlooking the snowy city.

Beyond the rooftops, the distant crystalline towers of Glacier Plex glitter against the night.

SCROOGE: "I have spent a great deal of money building that magnificent complex."

He places his hands behind his back.

SCROOGE: "I have investments, contracts, licensing arrangements, and countless other interests connected to NPCW."

He turns toward Nigel.

SCROOGE: "And I will not allow the Circle to turn my golden goose into its private plaything."

Nigel studies him.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Then your objective remains unchanged?"

Scrooge smiles.

SCROOGE: "Naturally."

He returns to the desk.

SCROOGE: "Let the Circle believe it's advancing its plans. Let its agents continue plotting and maneuvering."

He taps the folder.

SCROOGE: "We shall continue making certain those plans lead exactly where I want them to lead."

Nigel nods.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Understood, sir."

Scrooge settles into his chair.

SCROOGE: "And by the time they realize what's happened..."

He smiles coldly.

SCROOGE: "...it will be too late."

For a moment, the room falls silent.

Only the ticking of an antique grandfather clock breaks the stillness.

Then Nigel reaches toward another stack of documents.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "There is one additional matter requiring your attention, sir."

Scrooge glances up.

SCROOGE: "Oh?"

THE UNEXPECTED INVESTIGATORS

Nigel places two reports on the desk.

Both are marked confidential.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Our monitoring has identified two separate lines of inquiry that may be of concern."

Scrooge's expression sharpens.

SCROOGE: "Concerning what?"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "The Circle's activities, sir."

Scrooge stops smiling.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "More specifically, its ownership interests in NPCW, certain questionable business dealings, and the activities of an individual known as the Envoy."

The name catches Scrooge's attention.

SCROOGE: "The Envoy?"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Yes, sir."

Scrooge slowly opens the first report.

SCROOGE: "And who, pray tell, has taken such an interest in this mysterious individual?"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "The first inquiry appears to be connected to Aurelius Valor."

Scrooge raises his eyebrows.

SCROOGE: "Aurelius?"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Indeed, sir."

Nigel consults his notes.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "It appears that Mr. Valor has been quietly investigating the Envoy and attempting to establish the extent of the Circle's involvement in certain developments within NPCW."

Scrooge studies the report.

His expression becomes thoughtful.

SCROOGE: "Interesting."

He turns a page.

SCROOGE: "Very interesting."

Nigel waits.

SCROOGE: "I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. Valor has never been particularly fond of the Circle."

He leans back.

SCROOGE: "And he is certainly intelligent enough to recognize when someone is attempting to manipulate the ownership structure."

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Should we consider him a threat, sir?"

Scrooge thinks for a moment.

SCROOGE: "Not necessarily."

He closes the report.

SCROOGE: "Aurelius and I may have very different philosophies, but on this particular matter, our interests might temporarily coincide."

Nigel raises an eyebrow.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "You believe he may inadvertently assist us?"

Scrooge smiles faintly.

SCROOGE: "Perhaps."

He taps the closed report.

SCROOGE: "If Valor wishes to spend his resources uncovering the Circle's activities, who am I to discourage him?"

He chuckles.

SCROOGE: "Let him do the digging. We may find something valuable in whatever he uncovers."

Nigel makes a notation.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Very good, sir."

Scrooge reaches for the second report.

SCROOGE: "And this other inquiry?"

Nigel hesitates.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "That one is considerably more puzzling."

Scrooge looks up.

SCROOGE: "Puzzling?"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Yes, sir. I haven't been able to identify the individual responsible."

Scrooge frowns.

SCROOGE: "Explain."

Nigel opens his notebook.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "We've detected a separate series of inquiries concerning NPCW's financial arrangements, the Circle's ownership position, and certain transactions that appear to have attracted outside scrutiny."

He pauses.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "But unlike Mr. Valor's investigation, this one is remarkably discreet."

Scrooge begins studying the document.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Whoever is conducting it has been careful to avoid attracting attention."

Scrooge turns a page.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "They've requested information through perfectly legitimate channels, examined historical financial records, and followed certain transactions that most people wouldn't even think to question."

Scrooge's expression slowly changes.

He turns another page.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "It's rather impressive, actually. The individual seems to possess a thorough understanding of corporate finance and the various structures through which ownership interests can be concealed."

Scrooge stops turning pages.

His eyes narrow.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "I've reviewed the material several times, sir, but I simply don't recognize the pattern."

A long silence.

Scrooge slowly lowers the folder.

Then he picks it up again.

He studies one particular document.

His lips tighten.

SCROOGE: "Hmm."

Nigel leans forward.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Sir?"

Scrooge doesn't answer.

He turns to another page.

Then another.

His expression darkens.

The smile that had been present throughout the evening is gone.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Do you recognize something, sir?"

Scrooge's fingers tighten around the folder.

He studies a familiar pattern in the accounting records.

Careful.

Precise.

Methodical.

A line of inquiry following the money rather than the personalities.

Scrooge knows that approach.

He knows it very well.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Sir?"

Scrooge slowly looks up.

SCROOGE: "I know who's behind this."

Nigel looks astonished.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "You do?"

Scrooge's face twists with a mixture of anger and disbelief.

SCROOGE: "Oh, yes."

He stares down at the document.

SCROOGE: "Of all the people..."

Nigel leans forward anxiously.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Who is it, sir?"

Scrooge's eyes blaze.

He raises the folder.

SCROOGE: "CRATCHIT!"

SLAM!

The folder crashes against the desk.

The camera cuts abruptly to black.

SCROOGEMERCIAL — INTRODUCING SCROOGE POINTS™

“THE MORE YOU SPEND, THE MORE YOU EARN!”

The screen suddenly fills with VHS static.

A thunderous 1980s synthesizer blasts through the speakers.

Golden dollar signs explode across the screen. Coins rain from the heavens. Fireworks erupt around an enormous spinning portrait of Ebenezer Scrooge.

A ridiculously enthusiastic announcer screams over the music.

ANNOUNCER: "FROM THE GENIUS WHO BROUGHT YOU OVERPRICED MERCHANDISE, PREMIUM SEATING SURCHARGES, AND THE CONVENIENCE FEE..."

A giant golden coin spins toward the camera.

On one side is Scrooge's face.

On the other, an enormous dollar sign.

ANNOUNCER: "...COMES THE GREATEST CUSTOMER REWARDS PROGRAM IN PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING HISTORY!"

The coin explodes.

SCROOGE POINTS™

EARN THEM! COLLECT THEM! REDEEM THEM!

The screen cuts to Scrooge's Glacier Plex.

Inside an enormous golden showroom, Ebenezer Scrooge stands on a revolving pedestal wearing an emerald-green velvet suit, a white fur-trimmed cape, gold chains, and an enormous top hat decorated with dollar signs.

Beside him stands Nigel Frostwick, dressed considerably more modestly, holding a clipboard and looking deeply uncomfortable.

SCROOGE: "HELLO, YOU MAGNIFICENT, MONEY-SPENDING FOOLS!"

Trumpets blare.

SCROOGE: "Have you ever purchased an NPCW ticket and thought to yourself, 'Good heavens! I wish I could give Ebenezer Scrooge MORE MONEY!'"

A canned audience screams enthusiastically.

AUDIENCE: "YESSSSS!"

SCROOGE: "OF COURSE YOU HAVE!"

He spreads his arms.

SCROOGE: "And now, through my extraordinary generosity, remarkable business intelligence, and complete disregard for unnecessary consumer benefits..."

He pauses dramatically.

SCROOGE: "I PRESENT..."

The music stops.

A single spotlight illuminates Scrooge's face.

SCROOGE: "SCROOGE..."

A second spotlight appears.

SCROOGE: "...POINTS!"

KA-CHING!

The screen explodes into a shower of golden coins.

A chorus of singers bursts into song.

“SCROOGE POINTS! SCROOGE POINTS!

SPEND YOUR MONEY! HEAR IT CLINK!

BUY SOME MORE! DON'T STOP TO THINK!

SCROOOOOOGE POINTS!”

Nigel steps forward, looking at his clipboard.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Mr. Scrooge, perhaps we should explain how the program works."

SCROOGE: "An excellent suggestion, Frostwick! Even our customers should be capable of understanding something this simple!"

A gigantic animated cash register drops onto the screen.

HOW SCROOGE POINTS™ WORK

SCROOGE: "For every TEN DOLLARS you spend on officially SCROOGE-APPROVED merchandise or events..."

A ten-dollar bill flies into a mechanical cash register.

KA-CHING!

One tiny golden coin falls out.

SCROOGE: "...YOU RECEIVE ONE MAGNIFICENT SCROOGE POINT!"

The number 1 flashes across the screen.

SCROOGE: "That's right! Just TEN DOLLARS for ONE POINT!"

Nigel steps forward.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "So a customer spending one hundred dollars would receive ten Scrooge Points."

SCROOGE: "CORRECT!"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "And a thousand dollars would earn one hundred points."

SCROOGE: "EXACTLY!"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "And ten thousand dollars would earn one thousand points."

Scrooge's eyes practically turn into dollar signs.

SCROOGE: "FROSTWICK! YOU'RE MAKING ME EMOTIONAL!"

He wipes away a nonexistent tear with a hundred-dollar bill.

The screen displays a series of approved purchases.

SCROOGE-APPROVED PURCHASES INCLUDE:

  • Official Scrooge merchandise!

  • Scrooge's Glacier Plex events!

  • Premium Scrooge hospitality packages!

  • Officially licensed Scrooge collectibles!

  • Anything else Ebenezer Scrooge personally decides should qualify!

Nigel raises a finger.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Sir, shouldn't NPCW merchandise also qualify?"

Scrooge looks offended.

SCROOGE: "Only if it has been approved by ME!"

He points his cane directly into the camera.

SCROOGE: "Remember, customers! If it doesn't have my official Scrooge seal of approval, you're merely wasting your money on somebody else's merchandise!"

A gold stamp crashes onto the screen.

SCROOGE APPROVED™

THE REWARDS!

A golden curtain rises.

Behind it stands an enormous display of merchandise.

Scrooge steps forward, grinning.

SCROOGE: "Now comes the truly exciting part!"

He rubs his hands together.

SCROOGE: "As you accumulate Scrooge Points, you can redeem them for magnificent, exclusive, and extraordinarily valuable SCROOGE MERCHANDISE!"

Nigel glances at the rewards catalogue.

His eyebrows rise.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Extraordinarily valuable, sir?"

SCROOGE: "IN SENTIMENTAL VALUE, FROSTWICK!"

The first spotlight illuminates a tiny sticker.

REWARD #1 — THE OFFICIAL SCROOGE STICKER

500 SCROOGE POINTS

Equivalent eligible spending: $5,000

SCROOGE: "For a mere FIVE HUNDRED SCROOGE POINTS, you can own this beautiful, officially licensed STICKER featuring MY FACE!"

Nigel looks at the tiny sticker.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Five hundred points, sir? That requires five thousand dollars in purchases."

SCROOGE: "And yet the sticker is PRICELESS!"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "It appears to be approximately two inches across."

SCROOGE: "A COMPACT INVESTMENT!"

The next spotlight illuminates a pencil.

REWARD #2 — THE SCROOGE EXECUTIVE PENCIL

2,500 SCROOGE POINTS

Equivalent eligible spending: $25,000

SCROOGE: "For TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED POINTS, receive an authentic SCROOGE EXECUTIVE PENCIL!"

He holds the pencil dramatically.

SCROOGE: "Perfect for signing contracts! Calculating profits! And keeping track of how much money you owe me!"

Nigel examines the pencil.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Sir, there's no eraser."

SCROOGE: "OF COURSE NOT!"

He points toward the camera.

SCROOGE: "SCROOGE DOESN'T MAKE MISTAKES!"

The third display rises from the floor.

REWARD #3 — THE AUTOGRAPHED SCROOGE PORTRAIT

10,000 SCROOGE POINTS

Equivalent eligible spending: $100,000

SCROOGE: "For TEN THOUSAND POINTS, receive a magnificent framed portrait of the most important man in NPCW!"

He turns the portrait toward the camera.

It's a photograph of himself.

SCROOGE: "ME!"

Nigel examines the signature.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Sir, this appears to be a printed autograph."

SCROOGE: "Naturally! My actual signature costs considerably more!"

The next curtain opens.

An empty golden display box sits on a velvet cushion.

REWARD #4 — THE SCROOGE PREMIUM COLLECTIBLE STORAGE EXPERIENCE

50,000 SCROOGE POINTS

Equivalent eligible spending: $500,000

SCROOGE: "For FIFTY THOUSAND POINTS, you can own the spectacular SCROOGE PREMIUM COLLECTIBLE STORAGE EXPERIENCE!"

Nigel looks inside the box.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Sir, it's empty."

Scrooge smiles proudly.

SCROOGE: "PLENTY OF ROOM FOR FUTURE PURCHASES!"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "There isn't even any padding."

SCROOGE: "PADDING COSTS EXTRA!"

A dramatic musical fanfare begins.

The fifth reward descends from the ceiling inside a glass case.

REWARD #5 — THE DELUXE SCROOGE BOBBLEHEAD

250,000 SCROOGE POINTS

Equivalent eligible spending: $2,500,000

SCROOGE: "For TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND SCROOGE POINTS..."

He dramatically removes the glass cover.

SCROOGE: "...the EXCLUSIVE DELUXE SCROOGE BOBBLEHEAD!"

The little bobblehead has an enormous head and stands on a miniature cash register.

Scrooge flicks it.

The head wobbles.

A tiny recorded voice squeaks:

BOBBLEHEAD: "PAY ME!"

Scrooge gasps with delight.

SCROOGE: "IT'S LIKE HAVING ME IN YOUR OWN HOME!"

Nigel studies the base.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Sir, it says 'Batteries Sold Separately.'"

SCROOGE: "AN ADDITIONAL REVENUE STREAM!"

The music suddenly becomes grand and orchestral.

A sixth curtain rises.

Golden spotlights converge on a glittering top hat.

REWARD #6 — THE MILLION-POINT SCROOGE GOLDEN TOP HAT

1,000,000 SCROOGE POINTS

Equivalent eligible spending: $10,000,000

Scrooge drops to one knee in front of the display.

SCROOGE: "AND FINALLY!"

A choir begins singing.

SCROOGE: "FOR ONE MILLION GLORIOUS SCROOGE POINTS..."

He throws both arms upward.

SCROOGE: "THE SCROOGE GOLDEN TOP HAT!"

Lightning flashes.

A giant mechanical dollar sign rises behind the display.

SCROOGE: "An exquisite, gold-colored, officially licensed replica of the very hat worn by the greatest businessman in the North Pole!"

Nigel studies the catalogue.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "One million points, sir? That means a customer would have to spend ten million dollars."

SCROOGE: "AN ENTIRELY REASONABLE AMOUNT!"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "And the hat isn't actually made of gold."

SCROOGE: "GOLD-COLORED, FROSTWICK! LISTEN CAREFULLY!"

Nigel turns another page.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "It also appears to be available in one size only."

SCROOGE: "A PERFECT FIT FOR ANYONE WITH PROPER FINANCIAL PRIORITIES!"

Nigel puts the catalogue down.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Sir, may I ask a question?"

SCROOGE: "Must you?"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "How is an ordinary customer supposed to accumulate enough points to redeem these items?"

Scrooge looks delighted.

SCROOGE: "BY SPENDING MORE MONEY, OF COURSE!"

THE CONVERGENT CUP BONUS!

The screen erupts in fireworks again.

The Men's Convergent Cup appears surrounded by golden coins.

SCROOGE: "AND DON'T FORGET!"

He points excitedly toward the camera.

SCROOGE: "The winner of the MEN'S CONVERGENT CUP BATTLE ROYAL will receive..."

A gigantic counter begins spinning.

10,000.

100,000.

500,000.

1,000,000 SCROOGE POINTS!

SCROOGE: "ONE MILLION POINTS! Enough to redeem for my magnificent golden top hat IMMEDIATELY!"

Nigel raises a finger.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Subject to availability, sir."

SCROOGE: "NATURALLY!"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "And the redemption processing fee."

SCROOGE: "OBVIOUSLY!"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "And the shipping and handling charges."

SCROOGE: "AS ONE WOULD EXPECT!"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "And the commemorative merchandise authorization surcharge."

Scrooge pauses.

SCROOGE: "Frostwick..."

Nigel looks worried.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Yes, sir?"

Scrooge smiles proudly.

SCROOGE: "I LIKE THE WAY YOU THINK!"

THE FINE PRINT

The music suddenly slows.

Nigel steps forward with a thick legal document.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Now, Mr. Scrooge, there is one important condition we should explain to our customers."

Scrooge's expression changes.

SCROOGE: "Must we?"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "I'm afraid so, sir."

SCROOGE: "Very well. But make it quick."

Nigel clears his throat.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Scrooge Points expire thirty days after they are earned."

An enormous smile slowly spreads across Scrooge's face.

SCROOGE: "THIRTY DAYS!"

Nigel looks concerned.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Yes, sir. Every point expires individually thirty calendar days after being credited to the customer's account."

SCROOGE: "MARVELOUS!"

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "But, sir, that means someone trying to earn the million-point reward through purchases would need to spend ten million dollars within a thirty-day period."

Scrooge stares at him.

A long silence.

Then...

SCROOGE: "Frostwick."

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Yes, sir?"

Scrooge places a hand on Nigel's shoulder.

SCROOGE: "THAT'S WHAT MAKES IT EXCLUSIVE!"

A huge gold stamp crashes across the screen.

EXCLUSIVE!

The soundtrack accelerates to an absurd speed.

Tiny legal text begins racing across the bottom of the screen while an announcer reads the disclaimer at a barely comprehensible pace.

The disclaimer vanishes.

Nigel turns toward Scrooge.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Sir, do you think the customers will notice the thirty-day expiration?"

Scrooge smiles wickedly.

SCROOGE: "Not if the music is loud enough!"

THE GRAND FINALE

The synthesizer returns at twice the volume.

Scrooge stands atop an enormous mountain of gold coins.

Fireworks explode around him.

Behind him, giant screens flash images of Scrooge-approved merchandise, Glacier Plex, Scrooge Land, the Convention Centre Resort Hotel, and rows of extraordinarily expensive souvenirs.

The choir returns.

“SCROOGE POINTS! SCROOGE POINTS!

BUY TODAY! TOMORROW TOO!

EVERY DOLLAR WORKS FOR SCROOGE!

AND MAYBE SOMEDAY WORKS FOR YOU!”

Scrooge leans directly into the camera.

SCROOGE: "SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!"

He points his gold-handled cane toward the viewer.

SCROOGE: "BUY THE MERCHANDISE!"

KA-CHING!

SCROOGE: "PURCHASE THE TICKETS!"

KA-CHING!

SCROOGE: "UPGRADE YOUR EXPERIENCE!"

KA-CHING!

SCROOGE: "AND COLLECT THOSE GLORIOUS..."

A massive golden logo explodes onto the screen.

SCROOGE POINTS™

Scrooge throws his arms wide.

SCROOGE: "BECAUSE THE MORE YOU SPEND..."

He pauses.

An evil little grin spreads across his face.

SCROOGE: "...THE MORE I EARN!"

Nigel steps hurriedly into frame.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Don't you mean the more they earn, sir?"

Scrooge glances at him.

SCROOGE: "Yes, yes. That too."

He turns back toward the camera.

SCROOGE: "SCROOGE POINTS™!"

The music reaches a crescendo.

SCROOGE: "REWARDING YOUR LOYALTY..."

A pause.

His grin widens.

SCROOGE: "...TO MY BANK ACCOUNT!"

KA-CHING! KA-CHING! KA-CHING!

The screen freezes on Scrooge laughing maniacally while Nigel desperately tries to collect the falling coins.

FINAL SCREEN

1 POINT FOR EVERY $10 SPENT!

Just before the screen fades, Nigel's voice is heard one last time.

NIGEL FROSTWICK: "Sir, what happens to all the expired points?"

A short silence.

Then Scrooge's delighted laughter echoes through the speakers.

SCROOGE: "PURE PROFIT, FROSTWICK! PURE PROFIT!"

END SCROOGEMERCIAL
