DARK FABLE 027 PART 2

THIS PART 2 - SEE PART 1 HERE

10. BLOW THE CHAPEL UP!

The camera cuts backstage inside Scrooge’s Camelot Coliseum.

The interview area has been transformed for the reigning North Star Tag Team Champions.

Golden strands descend across a deep blue backdrop. Silver stars hang between them, while a painted yellow road winds beneath the championship crest and disappears toward a distant tower.

The display is bright.

But not fragile.

Several of the stars have been shaped like sharpened points. The golden strands resemble ropes prepared to bind anyone who steps too close. The road beneath them is cracked where two pairs of boots have repeatedly struck the floor.

Hana Nakamura stands in the center with a microphone in hand.

Beside her are Alice and Dorothy.

The North Star Tag Team Championships rest across their shoulders.

Alice expression carries its familiar brightness, but her eyes remain focused.

Dorothy stands beside her. Her posture is direct and grounded, one hand resting firmly against the center plate of her championship.

The crowd inside the arena erupts when the champions appear upon the stage screen.

Hana Nakamura: “Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guests at this time, the reigning North Star Tag Team Champions, Alice and Dorothy, the Blonde Bombshells.”

The crowd response grows louder.

Alice looks upward as though listening to the reaction travel through the stone.

Alice: “That is a much nicer sound than a chapel bell.”

Dorothy: “And considerably more honest.”

Hana Nakamura: “Earlier tonight, Prince John, Lady Isolde Blackthorne, and Prioress Malveil delivered a special message from the Black Chapel.”

The expression of Alice changes.

Her smile remains.

Its warmth does not.

Hana Nakamura: “They said your friendship is dependence disguised as devotion.”

Dorothy lowers her championship from her shoulder and holds it in both hands.

Hana Nakamura: “They said one of you will be isolated while the other is forced to watch.”

Alice: “They prepared an altar for our championships.”

Hana Nakamura: “You saw the vignette?”

Alice: “Oh, we saw everything.”

She lifts one finger.

Alice: “The candles.”

A second finger.

Alice: “The book.”

A third.

Alice: “The empty spaces where they have decided our titles belong.”

Her head tilts slightly.

Alice: “They even invited Prince John.”

Dorothy: “That was their first mistake.”

Alice: “Only the first?”

Dorothy: “The first obvious one.”

A faint laugh moves through the crowd.

It disappears quickly when Dorothy looks directly into the camera.

Dorothy: “The Black Chapel talks about preparation as though preparing for something means you control it.”

Dorothy: “They prepared an altar.”

Dorothy: “They prepared nameplates.”

Dorothy: “They prepared a sermon explaining why we have already lost.”

She raises the championship.

Dorothy: “What they did not prepare for was us.”

Hana Nakamura:Prioress Malveil described tonight’s match as a correction.”

Alice: “That is what people call cruelty when they want it to sound respectable.”

The answer is immediate.

Alice turns toward the camera.

Alice: “They wrap everything in ceremony.”

Alice: “They lower the lights.”

Alice: “They speak slowly.”

Alice: “They use beautiful words like judgment, purpose, and truth.”

Her expression sharpens.

Alice: “Then they do the same ugly things every frightened tyrant does.”

Alice: “They separate people.”

Alice: “They make them doubt one another.”

Alice: “They insist love is weakness because nobody has ever loved them enough to stay.”

The interview area becomes quiet.

Dorothy looks toward Alice.

The champion does not look away from the camera.

Alice: “That is the secret of the Black Chapel.”

Her voice lowers.

Alice: “They do not hate friendship.”

Alice: “They are afraid it might survive them.”

The arena responds strongly.

Hana Nakamura:Lady Isolde Blackthorne said your championships would give the Black Chapel recognition, influence, and the ability to bring every alliance in this division beneath its examination.”

Dorothy: “Then she understands what these titles can do.”

She looks down at the gold.

Dorothy: “What she does not understand is why we have them.”

Hana Nakamura: “Why do you have them?”

Dorothy: “Because when Alice reaches for me, I am there.”

Dorothy: “When I lose my footing, she brings me back.”

Dorothy: “When one of us gets trapped, the other does not stand outside calculating whether the rescue is worth the cost.”

Her grip tightens around the championship.

Dorothy: “We go.”

Alice: “Immediately.”

Dorothy: “Every time.”

Alice: “Even when the door says not to.”

Dorothy: “Especially then.”

The crowd cheers.

Dorothy: “The Black Chapel calls that dependence.”

Dorothy: “We call it trust.”

Dorothy: “And trust is not weakness just because someone who cannot inspire it finds the concept inconvenient.”

Hana Nakamura: “Their strategy appears to be built around preventing that trust from becoming action.”

Dorothy: “They will try.”

Hana Nakamura: “How do you prevent them from isolating one of you?”

Alice raises her championship slightly.

Alice: “You do not wait until the walls are finished.”

Hana Nakamura: “What do you mean?”

Alice: “A prison is easiest to escape before the jailer realizes you noticed the door.”

She points toward the painted road behind them.

Alice: “The Black Chapel wants us to walk into their match slowly.”

Alice: “Carefully.”

Alice: “One step at a time.”

Alice: “They want to decide which corner is safe.”

Alice: “Which rope can be reached.”

Alice: “Which champion gets trapped.”

Her smile returns.

This time, it carries open danger.

Alice: “We are not going to walk.”

Dorothy: “We are going through them.”

Alice: “Much quicker.”

Hana Nakamura:Lady Isolde Blackthorne spoke directly to both of you.”

The stage screen beside the interview position shows footage from the earlier vignette.

The golden tower behind Alice becomes covered in black vines.

The lights surrounding Dorothy disappear one by one.

Hana Nakamura: “She told Alice that not every prison requires walls.”

The footage freezes.

Alice studies the image.

Alice: “She is correct.”

A low reaction moves through the arena.

Alice: “Some prisons are made from fear.”

Alice: “Some are made from obligation.”

Alice: “Some are made from believing the person speaking calmly must be the person in control.”

She looks toward the image of Lady Isolde Blackthorne.

Alice: “But every prison has something holding it together.”

A beat passes.

Alice: “And everything holding something together can be broken.”

Dorothy: “She also said there would be no audience bright enough to hide me.”

Hana Nakamura: “Does that statement concern you?”

Dorothy: “No.”

She steps closer to the microphone.

Dorothy: “I have walked through places where the road disappeared.”

Dorothy: “I have stood beneath skies that offered no direction.”

Dorothy: “I learned a long time ago that light does not matter because it makes fear invisible.”

Her eyes remain fixed upon the camera.

Dorothy: “Light matters because it shows you where fear is standing.”

The crowd cheers again.

Dorothy: “Tonight, I know exactly where it will be.”

Dorothy: “Across the ring.”

Hana Nakamura: “The challengers have promised to turn your loyalty against you.”

Alice: “Then they should have studied us more carefully.”

Hana Nakamura: “Why?”

Alice: “Because loyalty is not the thing they can turn.”

She points toward Dorothy.

Alice: “She is not beside me because I control her.”

Dorothy: “And she is not beside me because I require protection.”

Alice: “We stand together because we choose to.”

Dorothy: “Every match.”

Alice: “Every fight.”

Dorothy: “Every road.”

Alice: “Every rabbit hole.”

Dorothy: “Even the terrible ones.”

Alice: “Especially the terrible ones.”

They exchange a brief look.

No uncertainty passes between them.

Hana Nakamura: “What about Prince John?”

The crowd boos at the name.

Dorothy: “He likes institutions because he believes every institution requires a throne.”

Alice: “And he usually believes the throne should contain him.”

Dorothy: “He stood inside that chapel talking about authority, access, and influence.”

Alice: “He looked very comfortable beside the altar.”

Dorothy: “Too comfortable.”

Alice: “Perhaps they should check the silver after he leaves.”

The crowd laughs.

Dorothy allows herself a brief smile before returning to the title match.

Dorothy: “But Prince John is not wrestling tonight.”

Alice: “Thankfully.”

Dorothy: “The match belongs to Lady Isolde Blackthorne and Prioress Malveil.”

Dorothy: “We are not looking past them.”

The seriousness in her voice silences the humor.

Dorothy: “They are dangerous.”

Dorothy: “They are disciplined.”

Dorothy: “They know how to exploit a referee’s position, trap a legal competitor, and make every rescue cost more than it should.”

Alice: “They believe pain reveals truth.”

Dorothy: “Then they are going to learn something true about us.”

Hana Nakamura: “What will they learn?”

Dorothy: “That we do not abandon one another.”

Alice: “That darkness is not impressive merely because it learned to speak formally.”

Dorothy: “That those nameplates they placed on their altar are not championship guarantees.”

Alice: “They are souvenirs.”

Dorothy: “Of the night they prepared for a coronation.”

Alice: “And received a demolition.”

The arena erupts.

Hana Nakamura: “Tonight’s match is your latest defense of the North Star Tag Team Championship. What do these championships represent to the two of you?”

Alice looks down at her title.

For a moment, her voice becomes quieter.

Alice: “A star does not tell you that the night has ended.”

She runs one hand across the championship plate.

Alice: “It tells you the night did not succeed in taking everything.”

Dorothy: “These titles represent every time we found our way back to one another.”

Dorothy: “Every time an opponent believed separating us meant defeating us.”

Dorothy: “Every time we proved that a road can divide, a tower can confine, and darkness can surround without deciding where the story ends.”

Alice: “The Black Chapel wants the ending.”

Dorothy: “They do not get it.”

Alice: “They want the titles.”

Dorothy: “They do not get those either.”

Hana Nakamura: “Then what does the Black Chapel receive tonight?”

Alice turns toward Dorothy.

Dorothy looks back at her.

Both champions lower the North Star Tag Team Championships from their shoulders.

They place the belts carefully against the interview table.

Alice: “They invited us inside.”

Dorothy: “They opened the doors.”

Alice: “They lit all those candles.”

Dorothy: “They prepared the altar.”

The champions step closer together.

Alice: “It would be rude not to leave an impression.”

Dorothy: “A very large impression.”

Alice raises both hands.

Dorothy mirrors her.

Their thumbs and index fingers meet, creating the familiar triangle between them.

The crowd inside the arena recognizes the signal immediately.

The reaction becomes deafening.

Hana Nakamura takes one quick step backward.

Alice:Lady Isolde Blackthorne.”

Dorothy:Prioress Malveil.”

Alice: “You wanted the Blonde Bombshells inside your chapel.”

Dorothy: “Now you have us.”

Together, they lift the triangle hand signal above the championships.

Alice and Dorothy: “And we will blow the chapel up!”

They drive their boots against the floor at the same moment.

KA-BOOM!

The impact shakes the interview table.

The hanging silver stars jump against their cords. The painted road beneath them appears to crack outward from their feet. Golden light flashes across the backdrop as the crest of the North Star Tag Team Championship fills the screen.

Alice and Dorothy lift their championships from the table.

They place the titles across their shoulders and stand on opposite sides of Hana Nakamura.

Alice smiles toward the camera.

Dorothy points toward the arena.

Dorothy: “Next.”

The champions leave the interview area together.

Their footsteps remain synchronized as they disappear into the corridor leading toward the entranceway.

Hana Nakamura watches them go.

She turns back toward the camera as the crowd continues chanting.

“KA-BOOM!”

“KA-BOOM!”

“KA-BOOM!”

Hana Nakamura: “The Blonde Bombshells are ready. The North Star Tag Team Championship will be defended next against the Black Chapel.”

The camera moves closer to the cracked road beneath the interview position.

At its center, beneath the place where the champions delivered their stomp, lies a single broken piece of black stained glass.

The screen cuts to black.

11. MAIN EVENT

The camera returns to the arena floor inside Scrooge’s Camelot Coliseum.

The crowd remains standing after the victory of John Henry.

Furnace-orange light fades from the stone arches. The image of the unbroken steel rail disappears from the central screen.

The ring crew completes its final inspection.

The blue canvas is tightened.

The turnbuckles are checked.

The North Star Tag Team Championships are carried toward the timekeeper’s table beneath a white ceremonial cloth.

The lights begin to dim.

A chapel bell tolls.

Once.

A second toll follows.

Then a third.

Black candlelight spreads across the entranceway.

The stage screen reveals the same dark sanctuary shown earlier tonight.

Tall pillars.

Silver thorns.

Faceless saints in stained glass.

At the center stands the empty altar prepared for the championships.

A low choir rises.

The black rose of the Black Chapel forms above the entranceway.

Prince John steps through the curtain.

The crowd fills the coliseum with boos.

He wears crimson and black beneath a long royal coat. A polished crown rests upon his head. His sceptre is carried upright in one hand as though he is leading a formal procession rather than accompanying challengers into combat.

Behind him appears Lady Isolde Blackthorne.

Her black-and-burgundy ring attire carries the severe lines of ceremonial armor. Dark gloves cover both hands. Her posture is elegant, but every movement suggests controlled hostility.

Prioress Malveil emerges last.

She wears black and silver ring gear beneath a short ceremonial mantle. The cracked white book from the earlier vignette is held against her chest.

The three stand beneath the chapel crest.

Julian Ward: “Earlier tonight, the Black Chapel prepared an altar for the North Star Tag Team Championships. They did not speak of victory as possibility. They spoke of it as ceremony awaiting completion.”

Brick Brody: “They have already engraved their names. That is either confidence or arrogance.”

Julian Ward: “The distinction will be determined in the ring.”

Prince John begins walking down the ramp.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne and Prioress Malveil follow several steps behind him.

The choir grows louder.

Black-and-silver light moves across the crowd like the shadow of cathedral windows.

Brick Brody: “Do not underestimate the challengers because they speak like funeral directors. Lady Isolde Blackthorne knows how to use position. Prioress Malveil knows how to make punishment feel deliberate. And Prince John has never seen a rule he could not reinterpret.”

Julian Ward: “Their objective is larger than championship possession. They believe the titles would grant the Black Chapel formal standing, access, and influence throughout the division.”

Brick Brody: “Gold opens doors.”

Julian Ward: “And they intend to decide who is permitted to walk through them.”

At ringside, Prince John stops near the corner post.

He looks toward the championship belts at the timekeeper’s table.

A satisfied smile appears.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne climbs the steps.

Prioress Malveil follows.

The challengers enter together and walk to the center.

Prioress Malveil opens the cracked white book.

Two empty spaces remain upon the page.

She turns the book toward the camera.

The names are already written beneath them.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne.

Prioress Malveil.

Prince John raises the sceptre.

The chapel bell tolls once more.

The arena becomes black.

A single silver star appears upon the screen.

Then another.

A golden road forms beneath them.

It travels through a dark forest, past a high tower, across a field of red flowers, and toward a distant city glowing green beneath the night.

The crowd erupts.

A bright chord strikes through the chapel music.

The black rose cracks.

Golden light breaks through it.

Alice steps onto the stage.

The North Star Tag Team Championship rests across her shoulder. She wears blue, white, and silver ring gear marked by playing-card patterns and dark storybook detailing.

She looks toward the ring.

The usual brightness remains in her expression.

Tonight it carries an edge.

Dorothy emerges beside her.

The second North Star Tag Team Championship rests across her shoulder. Her blue, white, and red ring gear carries the colors of the road and the storm.

The champions stand together.

They look first toward Lady Isolde Blackthorne and Prioress Malveil.

Then toward Prince John.

Alice and Dorothy lower their championships.

They raise both hands between them.

Thumbs and index fingers meet.

The triangle forms.

The crowd recognizes it immediately.

Alice and Dorothy bring one foot down together.

KA-BOOM!

A burst of golden light tears through the chapel crest.

The black stained glass on the screen explodes outward.

Julian Ward: “The Blonde Bombshells answered the sermon of the Black Chapel with a promise of demolition.”

Brick Brody: “Promises are useful before the bell. After the bell, somebody has to survive the debris.”

Julian Ward: “The champions describe their unity not as dependence, but as choice. They have built every defense around the certainty that when one reaches, the other will answer.”

Brick Brody: “That is exactly what the challengers plan to interrupt.”

Alice and Dorothy begin walking down the ramp.

Fans near the barricade raise triangle hand signals.

The champions respond with brief acknowledgments but never lose sight of the ring.

Halfway down the ramp, Dorothy points toward the altar still displayed on the stage screen.

Alice makes the triangle with both hands.

Then she breaks it apart.

The altar fractures.

At ringside, the champions stop opposite Prince John.

Prince John gestures toward their championships.

Prince John: “Enjoy the burden while it remains yours.”

Dorothy: “Enjoy the view while you are still allowed this close.”

The crowd reacts loudly.

Alice: “And keep the sceptre away from anything breakable.”

Prince John’s smile disappears.

Alice and Dorothy climb onto the apron together.

They enter through opposite sides of the corner and meet in the center of the ring.

The champions raise the titles.

The crowd erupts.

Across from them, Lady Isolde Blackthorne and Prioress Malveil do not look toward the belts.

They look toward the hands holding them.

‘Honest’ Abe moves between the teams.

Prince John steps onto the apron.

The referee immediately orders him back to the floor.

Prince John raises both hands with exaggerated innocence and descends.

Louie Linville enters the center of the ring.

The arena lights narrow around him.

Louie Linville: “Ladies and gentlemen, this is the main event of the evening!”

The crowd erupts.

Louie Linville: “This contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the North Star Tag Team Championship!”

The white cloth is removed from the title belts at ringside.

Gold reflects beneath the arena lights.

Louie Linville: “The referee assigned to this championship contest is ‘Honest’ Abe.”

‘Honest’ Abe raises one hand.

He turns toward Prince John and issues one final warning.

The prince responds with a shallow bow.

Louie Linville: “Introducing first, the challengers, accompanied to the ring by Prince John.”

The crowd boos.

Louie Linville: “They are the judgment waiting beyond the chapel doors, Lady Isolde Blackthorne and Prioress Malveil. Together, they are the Black Chapel!”

Lady Isolde Blackthorne steps forward and raises one gloved hand.

Prioress Malveil closes the white book and passes it through the ropes to Prince John.

Louie Linville: “And their opponents, the reigning and defending North Star Tag Team Champions.”

The crowd rises.

Louie Linville: “The travelers who turned impossible roads into paths of their own choosing, Alice and Dorothy, the Blonde Bombshells!”

The champions raise their belts.

Alice and Dorothy touch the title plates together.

‘Honest’ Abe collects both championships and raises them above his head.

He displays them toward each side of the coliseum before passing them to the timekeeper.

Alice remains inside the ring.

Dorothy steps onto the apron.

Across from them, Lady Isolde Blackthorne takes the opening position.

Prioress Malveil withdraws to the corner.

Prince John moves directly beneath the ropes beside his team.

‘Honest’ Abe gives the final instructions.

Alice raises both hands.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne lowers into a measured stance.

The bell rings.

Minute 1

Alice circles toward the center.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne offers one hand for the opening engagement.

Alice hesitates.

The challenger’s fingers remain extended.

Julian Ward: “An unusually formal opening from Lady Isolde Blackthorne.”

Brick Brody: “Nothing about that woman is offered without a price.”

Alice reaches cautiously.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne catches the wrist and turns it inward.

Alice rolls through the pressure and attempts to pull free.

The two women struggle near the ropes.

‘Honest’ Abe moves toward the entangled arms.

Behind him, Prince John opens the cracked white book.

A thin black metal plate has been hidden inside the binding.

He slides it through the ropes.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne catches it in her free hand.

Julian Ward:Prince John has passed something into the ring.”

Brick Brody: “The referee cannot see it.”

Alice notices the movement and raises one forearm.

She attempts to protect herself.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne drives the concealed plate into the ribs beneath the raised arm.

The impact folds Alice forward.

The object disappears beneath the challenger’s glove.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne strikes again across the upper back before dropping the plate beside the apron.

Prince John covers it with the edge of his coat and retrieves it.

Julian Ward: “The foreign object connected twice. Alice recognized the danger but could not stop it.”

Lady Isolde Blackthorne catches Alice by the hair and drives her face-first into the turnbuckle.

‘Honest’ Abe sees only the final impact.

He warns the challenger away from the hair.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne releases at four.

Alice turns from the corner and throws a short forearm into the jaw.

The strike creates enough separation to reach her own corner.

Dorothy extends her hand.

Alice makes the tag.

Julian Ward: “The challengers gain immediate control through the hidden weapon of Prince John. Alice escapes the corner, but she has been forced out after less than one minute.”

Brick Brody: “The chapel promised separation. The first thing they separated was the champion from her breath.”

Dorothy enters quickly.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne steps toward the center to meet her.

Minute 2

Lady Isolde Blackthorne slips behind Dorothy during the approach.

She catches both shoulders and jumps toward the back.

The Velvet Backstabber begins to form.

Dorothy widens her stance.

She catches the challenger’s legs before the knees can strike.

Julian Ward:Dorothy neutralizes the Velvet Backstabber.”

Dorothy remains standing with Lady Isolde Blackthorne suspended behind her.

She steps backward toward the corner.

The challenger releases and lands on her feet before being driven into the turnbuckles.

Brick Brody: “Good defense. Dorothy felt the weight shift and refused to fall.”

Lady Isolde Blackthorne attempts to pull her forward by the hair.

Dorothy catches the wrist and forces the grip away.

Neither woman lands an attack.

Dorothy points toward Prince John.

Dorothy: “No gifts this time.”

The crowd cheers.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne offers no reaction.

She turns and tags Prioress Malveil.

Julian Ward: “The second minute produces no offense for the challengers. Dorothy has denied the first attempt to control her back and neck.”

Prioress Malveil steps through the ropes.

She looks toward Alice, still holding her ribs on the apron.

Then she turns toward Dorothy.

Minute 3

Dorothy and Prioress Malveil meet near the center.

Neither commits during the first approach.

Dorothy reaches toward the shoulder.

Prioress Malveil withdraws before contact.

The second exchange ends with both women blocking the other’s wrist.

Julian Ward: “A defensive stalemate. Both women are refusing to expose the center line.”

Brick Brody: “They are measuring reactions. Somebody will attack the instant the other begins thinking.”

Dorothy moves first.

She turns and drives the Emerald City Elbow toward the jaw.

At the same moment, Prioress Malveil steps inside and throws the Divine Palm.

The sharp palm strike catches Dorothy beneath the chin.

The elbow lands across the side of Prioress Malveil’s head.

Both women stagger.

Julian Ward: “Emerald City Elbow and Divine Palm connect in the same exchange.”

Prioress Malveil recovers first.

She drives another short palm into the shoulder and forces Dorothy toward the ropes.

Brick Brody: “The palm landed more directly. Dorothy turned the head, but Prioress Malveil struck through the center.”

Dorothy answers with a forearm and pushes the challenger away.

Prioress Malveil turns toward her corner.

She tags Lady Isolde Blackthorne.

Julian Ward: “The Black Chapel maintains a narrow advantage through the cleaner strike, then changes position before Dorothy can create sustained offense.”

Lady Isolde Blackthorne enters.

Dorothy remains legal for the champions.

Minute 4

Lady Isolde Blackthorne advances with both hands raised.

Dorothy drops beneath the approach.

She catches one leg and pulls the challenger backward into a School-Girl Roll-Up.

The shoulders touch the canvas.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne rolls through before ‘Honest’ Abe can establish a count.

Julian Ward: “A fast roll-up from Dorothy, but Lady Isolde Blackthorne escapes before the official can begin.”

The challenger rises near the ropes.

She jumps and drops both legs across the upper chest and shoulders of Dorothy.

The Double Leg Drop lands.

Dorothy rolls onto one side.

Brick Brody: “The challenger answered the cradle by dropping both legs across the champion.”

Lady Isolde Blackthorne reaches for the hair.

Dorothy sweeps one leg and takes her back down.

Both women rise immediately.

Julian Ward: “The exchange favors Dorothy narrowly through the initial control and recovery, but neither woman has established the isolation promised by the Black Chapel.”

Lady Isolde Blackthorne turns and tags Prioress Malveil.

The challenger enters beneath the raised arm.

Dorothy watches both women carefully as they cross.

Minute 5

Prioress Malveil steps toward the center.

Dorothy meets her with a Backhand Chop across the chest.

The sound cracks through the coliseum.

Prioress Malveil attempts to raise one arm.

The strike breaks through the defense.

A second chop drives her backward.

Julian Ward: “The Backhand Chop lands cleanly. Prioress Malveil could not protect the chest.”

Brick Brody: “There is no ceremony in that. Dorothy is hitting her until the robes stop looking important.”

Prioress Malveil attempts another Divine Palm.

Dorothy catches the wrist and twists away.

She pulls the challenger toward the champions’ corner.

Alice extends her hand.

Dorothy makes the tag.

Julian Ward: “The champions complete their first clean exchange. Dorothy scores and brings Alice back into the match without allowing the Black Chapel to interrupt the path between them.”

Alice enters.

She still favors the ribs struck by the foreign object.

Prioress Malveil notices.

Her attention moves immediately toward the injury.

Minute 6

Alice and Prioress Malveil circle.

Neither attacks during the opening engagement.

Alice protects the ribs.

Prioress Malveil refuses to overextend.

The first tie-up ends without control.

The second produces another stalemate at the wrists.

Julian Ward: “The damage from the opening minute has changed the posture of Alice. Prioress Malveil is waiting for the injured side to become available.”

Brick Brody: “And Alice knows it. That makes every movement slower.”

Alice steps forward again.

Prioress Malveil catches both legs from behind and lifts.

She pushes Alice forward into the wheelbarrow position.

Before the champion can turn through, Prioress Malveil drops and drives her face-first into the canvas with the Wheelbarrow Bulldog.

Julian Ward: “The Wheelbarrow Bulldog lands cleanly.”

Alice absorbs the impact and rolls toward the ropes.

Prioress Malveil follows, pressing one knee into the damaged ribs while pulling the head upward.

‘Honest’ Abe begins counting.

“One!”

“Two!”

“Three!”

“Four!”

Prioress Malveil releases.

Brick Brody: “She found the ribs again. The foreign object created the target, and the Bulldog brought the body back to it.”

Alice reaches toward her corner.

Dorothy stretches across the top rope.

Alice makes the tag.

Julian Ward: “The Black Chapel gains complete control of the minute, but Alice reaches Dorothy before isolation can begin.”

Dorothy enters quickly.

Prioress Malveil remains near the center.

Minute 7

Dorothy and Prioress Malveil approach cautiously.

The first contact ends without advantage.

They separate.

The second produces a brief struggle for waist control.

Again, neither woman completes the attack.

Brick Brody: “Neither wants to surrender the hips. The next lift decides the exchange.”

Dorothy catches Prioress Malveil first.

She lifts and drives her down with a Bodyslam.

The challenger lands hard.

Julian Ward: “The Bodyslam from Dorothy.”

Prioress Malveil rises through the impact and catches the champion before she can move away.

She hooks one arm over the shoulder and lifts.

The Faithbreaker Suplex sends Dorothy vertically to the canvas.

Brick Brody: “Vertical Suplex in return. The chapel answers the slam with greater height.”

Dorothy turns toward one knee.

Prioress Malveil pulls herself upright using the ropes.

Julian Ward: “Both attacks land, but the Faithbreaker produces the stronger conclusion. Prioress Malveil regains control through the vertical fall.”

Dorothy reaches toward her corner.

Alice extends her hand.

The tag is made.

Prioress Malveil attempts to stop the exchange but arrives too late.

Minute 8

Alice enters beneath the top rope.

Dorothy remains inside.

The champions catch Prioress Malveil between them.

Alice drives a Superkick into the jaw.

The strike snaps the challenger’s head backward.

Dorothy catches her during the fall.

She turns and drives Prioress Malveil into the canvas with a Spinebuster.

The crowd erupts.

Julian Ward: “Superkick into the Spinebuster. The Blonde Bombshells complete the first coordinated double-team of the match.”

Brick Brody: “That is what the Black Chapel wanted to prevent. One champion created the opening, the other finished the fall.”

Prioress Malveil attempts to raise both arms before the Spinebuster.

The defense fails.

She lands flat beneath Dorothy.

‘Honest’ Abe orders the non-legal champion from the ring.

Dorothy exits before the count reaches three.

Alice remains beside the fallen challenger.

Julian Ward: “The double-team lands cleanly and reverses the momentum of the previous minute. The champions have transformed their trust into direct offense.”

At ringside, Prince John moves toward the corner.

‘Honest’ Abe warns him away.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne extends her hand desperately.

Prioress Malveil cannot reach it.

Minute 9

Alice jumps above Prioress Malveil and drives both knees down across the torso.

The Double Knee Drop lands with full force.

Prioress Malveil folds around the impact.

Julian Ward: “Double Knee Drop across the body.”

Alice reaches to pull the challenger away from the ropes.

Prioress Malveil rises suddenly and drives the Divine Palm into the face.

The strike staggers Alice backward.

Brick Brody: “The knees landed harder, but Prioress Malveil found the palm before Alice could continue.”

Alice shakes the impact away and catches one wrist.

Prioress Malveil attempts another strike.

Alice steps outside the line and pulls her toward the champions’ corner.

Dorothy extends her hand.

Alice makes the tag.

Julian Ward: “The greater damage belongs to Alice, and the champions change position before the Divine Palm can become sustained control.”

Dorothy enters.

Prioress Malveil turns toward the center.

Her movement has slowed.

Minute 10

Dorothy catches Prioress Malveil around the head and begins running toward the center for a Bulldog.

The challenger plants both feet.

She pushes Dorothy forward before the descent can begin.

The Bulldog is neutralized.

Julian Ward:Prioress Malveil stops the Bulldog before Dorothy can drive her down.”

Dorothy turns quickly.

Prioress Malveil raises one palm.

The champion stops outside the striking range.

Neither lands a follow-up.

Brick Brody: “Good defense from the challenger. She recognized the headlock and refused to move with it.”

Dorothy feints another approach.

Prioress Malveil protects the head and neck.

The hesitation gives Dorothy the opportunity to retreat toward her corner.

Alice extends her hand.

The tag is completed.

Julian Ward: “No offense for Dorothy, but the champions maintain control of their corner. They refuse to remain trapped inside a failed attack.”

Alice enters.

Prioress Malveil attempts to move toward Lady Isolde Blackthorne.

Her left leg briefly gives beneath her.

She catches the top rope before falling.

Minute 11

Prioress Malveil turns from the ropes.

The accumulated Superkick, Spinebuster, and Double Knee Drop have left her visibly injured.

She favors the left side and cannot straighten fully.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne extends her hand.

The distance remains several feet.

Alice moves between them.

Julian Ward:Prioress Malveil is injured. Her movement has deteriorated after the sustained offense from the champions.”

Brick Brody: “Now the chapel faces the situation it promised for the champions. One woman is trapped. The other can only watch.”

Alice jumps.

Both knees crash down across the upper body of Prioress Malveil for a second Double Knee Drop.

The injured challenger cannot raise her arms in time.

The impact leaves her flat on the canvas.

Alice turns into the cover and hooks the far leg.

‘Honest’ Abe counts.

“One!”

“Two!”

Prioress Malveil lifts one shoulder.

The crowd reacts.

Julian Ward:Prioress Malveil survives at two.”

Brick Brody: “Barely. The kickout looked more like the body falling to one side.”

Alice looks toward ‘Honest’ Abe but does not argue.

The failed cover has allowed Prioress Malveil to roll closer to the ropes.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne reaches as far as she can from the apron.

Alice catches the ankle and pulls the injured challenger backward.

She turns toward Dorothy.

The tag is made.

Julian Ward: “The pin did not end the match, but the champions refuse to surrender the isolation they have created.”

Dorothy enters.

Prioress Malveil remains unable to stand.

Minute 12

Dorothy pulls Prioress Malveil upright by one wrist.

The challenger attempts to raise the other hand.

Her injured side fails to respond quickly enough.

Dorothy drives a Backhand Chop across the chest.

The sound echoes through the ring.

Prioress Malveil falls backward.

Julian Ward: “Another Backhand Chop from Dorothy. The injured challenger cannot defend herself.”

Dorothy drops into the cover.

She hooks one leg.

‘Honest’ Abe counts.

“One!”

Prioress Malveil kicks out immediately.

Dorothy looks surprised.

Brick Brody: “The cover came too quickly. The chop hurt her, but it did not keep both shoulders down.”

Julian Ward: “The early pin attempt gives Prioress Malveil a moment of recovery the champions did not need to surrender.”

Dorothy rises and pulls the challenger away from the ropes.

Prince John pounds the apron with the base of his sceptre.

‘Honest’ Abe turns and warns him.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne reaches through the ropes again.

Dorothy sees the hand.

She drags Prioress Malveil toward the opposite corner.

Alice extends her arm.

Dorothy makes the tag.

Minute 13

Alice enters quickly.

She catches Prioress Malveil by the wrist and pulls her toward the center.

The challenger attempts to plant both feet.

The injured leg collapses beneath the effort.

Alice jumps, twists through the air, and sends Prioress Malveil across the ring with the Wonderland Whirl Hurricanrana.

The challenger lands near the ropes.

Julian Ward: “The Wonderland Whirl sends Prioress Malveil across the ring.”

Brick Brody: “She could not defend the rotation. The injured leg never gave her a base.”

Prioress Malveil reaches for the bottom rope.

Alice catches one ankle and pulls her back.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne enters one step through the ropes.

‘Honest’ Abe moves toward her immediately.

Alice uses the moment to drag Prioress Malveil toward the champions’ corner.

She does not cheat.

She does not strike during the distraction.

She simply controls the position.

Dorothy extends her hand.

Alice makes the tag.

Julian Ward: “The champions continue exchanging positions without allowing the legal challenger to reach Lady Isolde Blackthorne.”

Dorothy enters.

Prioress Malveil attempts to rise near the ropes.

Her left leg shakes beneath her.

Minute 14

Dorothy advances.

Prioress Malveil throws the Divine Palm.

The sharp strike catches Dorothy across the jaw.

The champion staggers toward the center.

Julian Ward: “The Divine Palm lands. Prioress Malveil has found one final strike.”

Prioress Malveil attempts to follow.

Her injured leg refuses the step.

Dorothy recovers and drives one boot into the upper body.

The Kick Out of Ring sends Prioress Malveil backward through the ropes.

She falls to the arena floor.

The crowd erupts.

Brick Brody: “She has been kicked out of the ring, and that leg did not survive the landing.”

Prioress Malveil lies beside the apron.

One hand grips the injured leg.

Inside the ring, Dorothy remains near the ropes.

‘Honest’ Abe orders her back and begins the count.

“One!”

Prince John rushes toward Prioress Malveil.

He kneels beside her but does not touch her.

“Two!”

Lady Isolde Blackthorne reaches over the top rope.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne: “Rise.”

“Three!”

Prioress Malveil turns onto one knee.

The injured leg collapses.

“Four!”

Prince John looks toward the referee.

Prince John: “Stop the count! She is injured!”

‘Honest’ Abe continues.

“Five!”

Prioress Malveil grips the ring skirt.

She pulls herself several inches closer.

“Six!”

Inside the ring, Dorothy watches.

There is no celebration in her face.

Only focus.

“Seven!”

Lady Isolde Blackthorne steps through the ropes.

‘Honest’ Abe turns and orders her back to the apron.

Entering will not stop the count.

“Eight!”

Prioress Malveil reaches the edge of the apron.

Her fingers close around the bottom rope.

She tries to pull herself upright.

The injured leg gives again.

“Nine!”

Prince John raises one hand as though considering whether to lift her.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne looks toward him.

One cold shake of her head stops him.

Assistance would place the title match beneath a different form of defeat.

Prioress Malveil makes one final attempt.

Her upper body rises above the apron.

The leg fails.

She falls back to the floor.

“Ten!”

‘Honest’ Abe calls for the bell.

The crowd erupts.

Dorothy turns toward Alice.

For one moment, neither champion appears certain whether the count has been completed.

‘Honest’ Abe signals toward the timekeeper and points to the Blonde Bombshells.

The championship belts are lifted from the table.

Louie Linville raises the microphone.

Louie Linville: “The winners of this match by count-out, and still the North Star Tag Team Champions, Alice and Dorothy, the Blonde Bombshells!”

Golden light floods the coliseum.

Alice enters the ring.

She embraces Dorothy near the center.

The championships are passed through the ropes.

‘Honest’ Abe presents one to each champion.

They raise the titles together.

The crowd begins chanting.

“KA-BOOM!”

“KA-BOOM!”

“KA-BOOM!”

At ringside, Prince John stands over Prioress Malveil.

His face carries disbelief and anger.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne drops to the floor.

She kneels beside her partner and examines the injured leg.

Prince John: “The count should have been suspended.”

Lady Isolde Blackthorne: “The count was lawful.”

Prince John: “She was injured.”

Lady Isolde Blackthorne: “Injury does not suspend consequence.”

The phrase turns his own philosophy against him.

Prince John tightens his grip around the sceptre.

Inside the ring, Alice and Dorothy watch.

Prioress Malveil pushes the hands of Lady Isolde Blackthorne away.

She attempts to stand without assistance.

The leg gives once more.

This time, Lady Isolde Blackthorne catches her before she reaches the floor.

There is no tenderness in the movement.

There is obligation.

Prioress Malveil looks toward the champions.

Alice lowers her title from above her head.

Dorothy steps beside her.

The two teams stare at one another through the ropes.

Prioress Malveil: “The altar remains.”

Alice: “Then keep it ready.”

Dorothy: “You will need somewhere to place the excuses.”

The crowd cheers.

Prince John steps toward the apron.

‘Honest’ Abe moves between him and the champions.

Prince John: “You celebrate a count.”

Dorothy: “We celebrate leaving with our championships.”

Alice: “The number happened to be ten.”

Prince John points the sceptre toward them.

Prince John: “This was not judgment.”

Alice: “No.”

She looks toward the injured Prioress Malveil.

Then toward Lady Isolde Blackthorne.

Alice: “It was consequence.”

The arena responds loudly.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne looks toward Prince John.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne: “Enough.”

The command is quiet.

The prince looks at her in surprise.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne: “The titles remain with them.”

She helps Prioress Malveil stand.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne: “Tonight.”

The final word carries the promise of continuation.

Prince John lowers the sceptre.

The three members of the Black Chapel begin withdrawing toward the ramp.

Prioress Malveil refuses to be carried.

She leans upon Lady Isolde Blackthorne only enough to walk.

At the bottom of the entranceway, she looks back toward the ring.

Alice and Dorothy remain beneath the golden light.

The champions raise their titles once more.

The stage screen shows the chapel altar.

The silver nameplates belonging to Lady Isolde Blackthorne and Prioress Malveil remain inside the spaces prepared for the championships.

A crack forms through both plates.

Alice looks toward Dorothy.

The champions place their title belts across opposite shoulders.

They raise their hands.

The triangle forms.

The crowd rises.

Alice: “They invited us.”

Dorothy: “We arrived.”

Together, the champions stomp the canvas.

KA-BOOM!

The altar on the stage screen explodes.

Black stone and silver glass scatter across the image.

The North Star Tag Team Championship crest rises from the wreckage.

Julian Ward: “The Blonde Bombshells retain the North Star Tag Team Championship after fourteen minutes. The match began with Prince John passing a hidden foreign object to Lady Isolde Blackthorne, but the challengers could not convert that advantage into lasting isolation.”

Brick Brody: “The Black Chapel had the first strike and several strong counters, but Prioress Malveil became trapped on the wrong side of the ring. The Superkick, Spinebuster, repeated Double Knee Drops, and Wonderland Whirl damaged her until the final kick sent her outside. Once that leg failed, ten became inevitable.”

Julian Ward: “The challengers promised that one champion would be isolated while the other watched helplessly. Instead, their own prediction turned against them. Prioress Malveil was separated from Lady Isolde Blackthorne, injured beyond her ability to return before the count, while the champions preserved the connection the Black Chapel had called weakness. The altar was prepared. The names were engraved. But the titles remain with Alice and Dorothy, and the institution seeking authority leaves this night without the gold required to claim it.”

RESULT: THE BLONDE BOMBSHELLS DEFEAT THE BLACK CHAPEL BY COUNT-OUT AT THE 14-MINUTE MARK AND RETAIN THE NORTH STAR TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP AFTER PRIORESS MALVEIL IS UNABLE TO RETURN TO THE RING FOLLOWING DOROTHY’S KICK OUT OF RING.

12. CLOSING

Golden light remains over the ring inside Scrooge’s Camelot Coliseum.

The shattered remains of the chapel altar disappear from the stage screen.

In their place rises the crest of the North Star Tag Team Championship.

Alice and Dorothy stand upon opposite turnbuckles with the championships raised above their heads. The crowd continues chanting their signature call.

“KA-BOOM!”

“KA-BOOM!”

“KA-BOOM!”

At the foot of the entranceway, Lady Isolde Blackthorne supports the injured Prioress Malveil. The challengers look back toward the ring while Prince John walks several steps ahead of them, his anger visible in every strike of the sceptre against the ramp.

The final image captures the divide.

The Blonde Bombshells remain beneath the light with the gold.

The Black Chapel retreats into darkness without it.

The broadcast cuts to the commentary desk.

Julian Ward sits with his notes arranged before him. Beside him, Brick Brody watches the champions leave the ring.

Julian Ward: “The altar was prepared. The names were engraved. The Black Chapel entered tonight believing the transfer of the North Star Tag Team Championship was no longer a contest but a ceremony.”

Brick Brody: “And they came close to controlling the match exactly as they promised. Prince John placed a weapon in the hand of Lady Isolde Blackthorne before the first minute had ended. Alice was struck in the ribs, and the challengers immediately created an injury they could continue attacking.”

The screen displays the opening moments of the main event.

Prince John slides the concealed metal plate through the ropes.

Lady Isolde Blackthorne drives it into the body of Alice while ‘Honest’ Abe looks elsewhere.

Julian Ward: “But the champions refused to be separated. Every time one woman became vulnerable, the other reached her before the Black Chapel could close the distance between them.”

The footage changes.

Dorothy neutralizes the Velvet Backstabber.

Alice and Dorothy combine the Superkick and Spinebuster.

Alice crashes down with repeated Double Knee Drops.

The Wonderland Whirl Hurricanrana sends Prioress Malveil across the ring.

Brick Brody: “The challengers spent the night describing friendship as dependence. Then Prioress Malveil became the isolated competitor. Her own partner was trapped outside the ropes while the champions exchanged tags and continued the punishment.”

The final kick sends Prioress Malveil to the floor.

She reaches the apron at nine but cannot overcome the damage to her leg before the count reaches ten.

Julian Ward: “The victory came by count-out, but there was nothing accidental about the damage that produced it. The Blonde Bombshells retain the championships, and the institution seeking authority leaves tonight without the gold it required to claim it.”

The main-event footage fades.

The stage screen now shows the image of a lonely lantern beneath white mist.

Yurei Rinn appears behind it.

The lantern shatters beneath the image of a hunting blade.

Julian Ward: “Our evening began with Gretel attempting to recover from the punishment she endured during the debut of the Fairest Hunters one week ago.”

Footage shows Yurei Rinn driving Gretel down with the Tombstone.

The Cobra Clutch closes repeatedly.

Lord Kurogami traps Gretel in the ropes with a dark cord.

Yurei Rinn strikes her while she is unable to defend herself.

Brick Brody: “That match should have belonged to the Blood Oni Syndicate. Lord Kurogami tied Gretel into the ropes, and Yurei Rinn attacked the same head and neck that had already been damaged by the Monsters of Myth.”

The image changes.

Gretel counters the Cobra Clutch attempt with the K-360.

She follows with the Rolling Fireman’s Carry and holds Yurei Rinn down for three.

Julian Ward: “But the isolation failed to break her. Gretel survived the interference, escaped the final attempt at the Cobra Clutch, and earned a significant singles victory over Yurei Rinn.”

Brick Brody: “That is two matches in which the plan of the people preaching isolation turned against them. The Blood Oni Syndicate trapped Gretel, and she survived. The Black Chapel promised to trap the champions, and their own woman became the one who could not escape.”

A red oni crest consumes the screen.

The footage moves to the thirty-minute confrontation between Taro Okami and Kaen.

The Standing Guillotine Choke.

The Concrete Brainbuster.

Hunter’s Lock.

The Ura Shouten.

The Ushigoroshi.

The final Knee Strike and Headbutt colliding as the time limit expires.

Julian Ward: “The unresolved question of the black mask also continued tonight. Taro Okami and Kaen fought through the entire thirty-minute limit without producing a winner.”

Brick Brody: “They threw everything at one another. Taro Okami trapped Kaen in Hunter’s Lock twice. Kaen answered with enough force to turn both submissions into crushing falls. Neither man could finish the other.”

The footage continues beyond the match.

Enrai attacks Taro Okami from behind on the ramp.

Kaen joins him.

Together, they overpower the exhausted wrestler.

Then white-gold fire spreads across the entranceway.

Raigen charges into the fight with the Eternal Flame Championship in hand.

Julian Ward: “The draw did not satisfy the Blood Oni Syndicate. Enrai ambushed Taro Okami after the match, and Kaen joined the assault.”

Brick Brody: “Then Raigen made his decision. He did not remain backstage waiting for more evidence. He came out and fought.”

The screen shows Raigen driving the championship into Kaen and forcing the Blood Oni Syndicate to retreat.

Then Taro Okami looks toward the champion.

His words appear beneath the image.

I hope this is enough to prove to you I am not the masked attacker.

Julian Ward:Raigen did not declare the mystery solved. But he told Taro Okami that the attack proved the Blood Oni Syndicate wanted him broken.”

The handshake appears.

Julian Ward: “One week ago, suspicion stood between them. Tonight, the attack intended to deepen that suspicion may have created a united front.”

Brick Brody: “Trust is not complete. The masked attacker has not been identified. But Lord Kurogami now knows that if he moves against one man, the other may answer.”

The oni crest fractures.

Green scales spread across the stage screen.

Footage shows the Scalekeepers facing Sir Agravaine and the Black Knight.

Hiro Tanenaga attacks the already damaged back of the Black Knight with repeated Sitout Double Underhook Powerbombs.

The injured knight reverses the double-team and launches himself with the Springboard 450 Splash.

Julian Ward: “The Black Knight entered his tag team contest carrying the damage inflicted by John Henry one week ago. For three minutes, he was physically unable to defend himself against Hiro Tanenaga.”

Brick Brody: “Then he did something no injured man should attempt. He threw himself through a Springboard 450 Splash and later delivered an Asai Moonsault into a DDT.”

The footage shows the chaotic final minute.

Masa Tanenaga lands the Pele Kick.

Hiro Tanenaga drives through the ropes with the Suicide Dive.

The Black Knight crashes into the barricade and cannot return before ten.

Julian Ward: “The resistance was extraordinary, but the injury eventually determined the outcome. The Scalekeepers earned the count-out victory, while another defeat deepened the strain between Sir Agravaine and Myrrden.”

Brick Brody:Sir Agravaine said his partner was not fit to stand. Myrrden answered that he stood anyway. The Broken Crown continues confusing endurance with usefulness, and sooner or later one of its knights will be destroyed by that philosophy.”

The image of the fractured crown dissolves.

A silver hand closes around a key.

The private upper deck appears.

Severin stands alone behind its railing.

Julian Ward: “Another figure entered the affairs of Camelot tonight.”

The footage returns to the royal dressing chamber.

Hana Nakamura approaches as Severin concludes his private conversation with King Arthur.

Severin: “Think about my proposition. You will not regret taking the offer.”

Brick Brody: “We still do not know what he offered.”

Julian Ward: “We know only that Severin expected the champion to consider it and remained inside the coliseum to observe the result against Heracles.”

The footage shifts to the match.

Merlin raises his staff.

‘Honest’ Abe becomes mesmerized.

Heracles recognizes the interference and prevents King Arthur from exploiting it.

Then the King’s Decree drives the demigod face-first into the canvas.

Julian Ward: “The opening included an attempted advantage created by Merlin. It did not produce offense, but it remains troubling when placed beside the Royal Order issued by King Arthur.”

Brick Brody: “The interference did not win the match. The king did.”

The Jumping Knee Drop lands.

King Arthur entangles the legs of Heracles in the Indian Deathlock.

The demigod fights toward the ropes but eventually submits.

Brick Brody:Heracles entered expecting a contest of strength. King Arthur never allowed him to establish one. He kept the demigod on the canvas, damaged the base, and forced the submission in four minutes.”

Julian Ward: “One week after defeating Ares, the Mythic Crown Champion has now submitted Heracles. His declaration was unmistakable. Monster, god, demigod, demon, man, or anything else entering this division will be made to respect the Crown.”

The footage freezes upon Severin nodding from the upper deck.

Julian Ward: “And Severin appeared satisfied by what he witnessed.”

Brick Brody: “Perhaps the king proved he is worth the offer.”

Julian Ward: “Or proved he is prepared to accept its cost.”

The screen darkens.

Blue sand begins falling.

A steel rail appears beneath it.

The third match between John Henry and Sandman fills the screen.

Julian Ward: “Tonight also brought the third dream.”

The first Sleeper closes around the neck of John Henry during the opening minute.

The second follows.

Then the third.

The fourth.

The fifth.

Each time, John Henry finds a different way to survive.

Brick Brody:Sandman knew exactly where the match had to go. He reached the Sleeper five times. He attacked the head, damaged the back, and waited for the stronger man to exhaust himself.”

The montage shows the Steel Driver.

Iron Collision.

Another Steel Driver.

Another Iron Collision.

The Back Suplex Bomb.

Julian Ward: “But John Henry no longer believed that preparation meant the Sleeper could never be applied. He accepted that the danger would find him and prepared to escape it.”

The final count reaches three.

John Henry rises while the blue sand breaks against the image of the steel rail.

Brick Brody: “The first two matches belonged to Sandman. Tonight, John Henry remained awake long enough to deliver the final fall.”

Julian Ward: “He did more than survive his weakness. He learned within it. The third encounter belongs to John Henry.”

The recap images disappear.

The live camera returns to Julian Ward and Brick Brody.

Behind them, the ring crew lowers the ropes and begins clearing the ringside area.

Several spectators remain in their seats, reluctant to leave.

Julian Ward: “Tonight has ended, but the consequences will carry directly into next week.”

The stage screen displays the first announced match.

Golden hair twists around the dark towers of Wonderland.

Julian Ward:Rapunzel will face the Dark Duchess.”

Brick Brody:Rapunzel defeated Athena and has continued proving she can survive opponents who attempt to control her movement. The Dark Duchess does not merely control movement. She turns the entire environment into uncertainty.”

The image changes.

A green arrow strikes the silhouette of a stitched giant.

Julian Ward:Robin Hood will confront Frankenstein’s Monster.”

Brick Brody: “That is courage approaching stupidity. Robin Hood can move, strike, and disappear before most men turn around. Frankenstein’s Monster only needs to catch him once.”

Julian Ward: “For Robin Hood, it is another opportunity to oppose one of the monsters and powers now being named beneath the Royal Order of King Arthur.”

The next image reveals the crest of the Merry Band crossing blades with the insignia of the Virtuous Blades.

Julian Ward: “Tag team action will place the Merry Band against the Virtuous Blades.”

Brick Brody: “Two teams that claim honorable purpose. That means both will spend the entrances explaining principle before attempting to drive the other through the canvas.”

Julian Ward: “The match will also carry significance within a tag team division that has grown increasingly crowded beneath the reigning North Star Tag Team Champions.”

The screen reveals a hunting blade crossing a crown wrapped in black thorns.

Julian Ward: “The Fairest Hunters return to tag team competition against the Queens of Despair.”

Brick Brody:Gretel gained an important victory tonight, but the Fairest Hunters are still searching for their first victory as a team. The Queens of Despair will not allow recovery to become confidence.”

Julian Ward: “For Snow White and Gretel, it is an opportunity to convert the resilience shown tonight into the coordinated success that escaped them during their debut.”

A silver sword appears against the seal of Nottingham.

Julian Ward:Sir Lancelot will face the Sheriff of Nottingham.”

The crowd responds loudly from the remaining seats.

Brick Brody: “That is a fight between a knight who believes honor requires action and a sheriff who believes authority requires obedience.”

Julian Ward: “With Prince John leaving tonight without the North Star Tag Team Championship, the forces of Nottingham may arrive next week with even greater urgency.”

The screen turns black.

A flame ignites at its center.

The Eternal Flame Championship rises through it.

The crowd begins cheering.

Julian Ward: “And in next week’s main event, the Eternal Flame Championship will be defended.”

The image of Raigen appears on one side.

The Huntsman emerges from a dark forest on the other.

Between them, the championship burns.

Julian Ward: “Champion Raigen will face the Huntsman in a two-out-of-three falls match with no time limit.”

Brick Brody: “That is not a match built for quick escape. No time limit. Two falls required. The Huntsman can lose once and continue hunting. Raigen can survive one ambush and still have another fall waiting.”

Julian Ward: “The champion enters after choosing to stand beside Taro Okami against the Blood Oni Syndicate. But next week, he must place that conflict aside and defend the championship against an opponent whose entire identity is built around patient pursuit.”

Brick Brody: “The Huntsman does not need a hidden mask. He wants the champion to see him coming.”

The complete card fills the screen.

RAPUNZEL VS DARK DUCHESS

ROBIN HOOD VS FRANKENSTEIN’S MONSTER

MERRY BAND VS VIRTUOUS BLADES

FAIREST HUNTERS VS QUEENS OF DESPAIR

SIR LANCELOT VS SHERIFF OF NOTTINGHAM

ETERNAL FLAME CHAMPIONSHIP — TWO OUT OF THREE FALLS, NO TIME LIMIT

RAIGEN VS HUNTSMAN

The camera moves away from the commentary desk and rises above the coliseum.

The emptying ring stands beneath the banners of Camelot.

The final images from the evening appear across the stage screen.

Gretel holding the dark cord torn from the ropes.

Raigen pulling Taro Okami to his feet.

The injured Black Knight staring back toward the Scalekeepers.

Severin watching from the upper deck.

King Arthur holding the Mythic Crown Championship above the fallen demigod.

John Henry standing beneath the unbroken rail.

Alice and Dorothy raising the North Star Tag Team Championships above the ruins of the chapel altar.

Brick Brody: “The Crown brought another legend to heel. The hammer finally survived the dream. The chapel was blown apart. And the masked attacker remains somewhere in the dark.”

Julian Ward: “Tonight, those who promised control repeatedly discovered that control cannot be declared into existence. Lord Kurogami attempted to divide two allies and watched them stand together. The Black Chapel prepared a ceremony and left without its prize. Sandman promised a third dream and found a man capable of awakening before the final bell.”

The stage screen darkens one image at a time.

Only the Eternal Flame Championship remains.

Julian Ward: “But authority, trust, and victory remain temporary conditions inside the Mythic Division. Next week, the roads cross again, the monsters return, and the Eternal Flame will be defended without restriction of time.”

The championship flame burns brighter.

Julian Ward: “For Brick Brody, I am Julian Ward. Thank you for joining us live from Scrooge’s Camelot Coliseum.”

A final bell tolls.

Not from the chapel.

From the ring.

Julian Ward: “Good night from Dark Fable.”

The broadcast fades to black.
